He was by the lake (again).
He had his feet in the lake (again).
He was about to go swimming in the lake (again).
Maybe, if he were a bit smarter, he would have discovered by now that there were other things to do than swim but considering all he wanted to do was swim really there was no point when there were other more exciting things to be done.
So Llyr was back in the forest, idly swishing his feet back and forth and letting the familiar sensation of the water curl around his ankles, dipping his fingers in. It was quiet here, and pleasant, and he enjoyed being able to simply feel the water against his skin.

"Oh, damn." That intrusive comment could have been made in reference to any number of things.
It could have been sudden company in a spot often empty. (or not.)
It could have been that Vaith was just surprised. (or not.)
It could have been that there was a half dressed boil with beautiful abs. (or yes.)
"I'd kill for a body like that." Vaith said idly, as he sauntered into the scene. He didn't think about the relative privacy that the boil might want or if he wanted company. Because all that was on Vaith's mind were those abs.
".. So is that like, swimming abs?"

He heard the damn first and then the kill second and Llyr was wondering whether or not this was a good damn or a bad damn. But then the rest of the sentence caught up to his ears, and Llyr turned his head around, his long dark hair falling in midnight blue sheets across one shoulder. He didn't recognize the boil in front of him - well, he didn't recognize anyone, really, but he blinked politely at him, tilting his head curiously.
"Swimming abs," Llyr repeated, as though the word was unfamiliar (which it was). He glanced down at himself, studying his chest with a sort of vague thoughtfulness, and then turned back to the boil.
"I do like swimming," he said pleasantly, which was true, though what exactly it had to do with his abs was entirely unclear to him and probably to this newcomer as well.Random Artist I APOLOGIZE FOR LLYR'S STUPIDITY...

"Swimming abs are when you build up that impressive package from all the exercise," Vaith lifted up his shirt slightly, pointing to his not-bad-but-not-as-impressive-stomach, and then gesturing to the other boil's one, as if to compare.
"So you," Vaith pointed to Llyr with purposeful intent, letting his shirt fall back down, "-- are my new goal."
This conversation sounded highly gay if one didn't hear it in context.
"The name's Vaith. What's your name?"
Or else Llyr was in serious danger of being dubbed as 'swimming abs.'

If Llyr was confused at all by this strange conversation, he didn't show it, instead just peering up at Vaith with a mixture of curiosity and wonder. He blinked slowly, his eyes flickering towards the stomach beneath the shirt, and then back up to the boil's face, Llyr tilting his head inquisitively.
"Goal?" he repeated vaguely, and poked a hand at his own chest absently. "I...do not know what it is to be a goal."
He pondered this question for a good several minutes, leaving behind what was probably an awkward silence before Llyr said, almost as though he had forgotten entirely what they had just been talking about, "It's quite lovely today, isn't it? Very nice outside, and the water is lovely."
A pause. Then -
"Llyrendil, I do believe is what they call me. Sometimes. Perhaps."

"Perhaps? You're a funny boil. I'll call you Llr..ren..dil?"
He tried the foreign name on his lips, wondering how those consonants and vowels worked together. Vaith didn't want to imagine how that was spelled, wincing at the thought.
"Its a beautiful day--" He quted those human lyrics from somewhere, as he hummed, sitting near the water. He looked down, then back up at Llyr. He pointed to the water, with a silly grin on his face. It seemed to ask "do you want to go in?" from the way Vaith's feet were kicking upwards at the water.
