I suppose you could sell them for a rediculously huge price, send the link to the person you're trading with, and then give them back their gil.

You can trade fish via the Marketplace, but both parties involved need to trust each other. You agree on a price for what's being exchanged, and then you both put the fish on the market for bidding. Then you bid the agreed amount of gold on each other's fish, and accept the bids.

Bidding is broke right now. >_> Even if you have highbid when the auction ends, the seller has to manually accept it. It's not automatic. Your gold is tied up until the seller cancels or accepts. So if the highbid is lower than what the seller wants, he or she can cancel it. (Yes, it's not very nice, but it's not against the TOS. >_< )
