Just another shitty day in hell, thats how Leo always visioned their life. He still wasn't used to not having his eyesight, in fact whenever he came into a room he always felt around for the light switch before flipping it on, thinking he would see brightness. But he never did see the light, only darkness. It made everyday chores into a hassle, even now as he began to do the dishes so he could attempt to cook, hopefully without burning himself, the food, or god forbid their home. Wash, rinse, dry; wash, rinse, dry; wash, rinse, dry---CRASH!!! Another dish broken. Leo grumbled loudly in frustration, it was the fifth dish in two weeks. He felt around for a broom but it wasn't where he thought he left it, nothing ever was where he thought he had left it. Once his hands wandered to the small knob which was connected to the closet near the kitchen, he knew he was in the right area. He opened the closet door and reached inside to feel the familiar broom, only he hadn't remembered putting the broom here in the first place. Asher would be home from work any minute, Leo often felt bad for being so slow at putting dinner on the table. He was so sure that Asher would love to come home to a nice warm meal already waiting for him instead of having to wait longer for it to cook but Leo was doing his best. He went back over to the mess, walking until his foot hit the sharp ceramic and then carefully knelt down and swept the pieces into a dustpan which he dumped into the trashcan conveniently under the kitchen sink.

Every room had it's reference point for which Leo could find almost anything from, for the kitchen it was the sink since it was in the center of the counter, right between the coffee maker, and toaster on the right and the stove on the left.

Leo turned his head when he heard a thump by the door, it still startled him but at the same time it was a comforting sound to hear, only his brother did that when he came home. "Welcome home Asher." he said softly, slowly feeling his way to the fridge to get the jar of spaghetti sauce they bought a few days ago. "We're having spaghetti for dinner." he said rather proudly, this was his first time making spaghetti since he had lost his eyesight, it was his favorite food. Once he had a hold of the cold jar, he opened the lid and felt around until he found the small pot before pouring the red liquid in it. "How was work?" he asked, listening to the noodles boiling over and panicking a bit. "The noodles!" he exclaimed, moving quickly to turn the stove down but his hand accidently hit the pot and some of the boiling water hit his hand. "OW!!" he whined, hissing at the pain.

Leo got a bit dizzy as his brother jerked his body toward the sink. He sighed a bit at the cold water on his burn. "I know, but I have to at least try to live with my sight being gone. Nobody will hire someone who's blind and you're always working. I'm just trying to help out a little bit." he said softly, using his other hand to readjust the bandages around his head which covered his eyes. He knew he didn't need the bandages anymore, his eyes were healed, but since the look of them scared many people he decided to keep the bandages; he knew his eyes must look terrible, but that would be normal, after all what did Leo expect them to look like after a few embers from the fire burned his corneas? "I'm sorry, I'll be more careful. Maybe you can help me finish?" he asked softly, feeling the familiar bandages around his hand before he pointed in the general direction of the pot with the sauce. "That needs to be turned on just a little bit, enough to heat the sauce. Once its heated up dinner will be ready."

((Asher is the one who was adopted, and he knows that he's adopted so it's not a big secret or anything.))

Leo gave a small smile and nodded. "I know, you're always watching out for me." he said softly, smelling the sauce triggered his stomach to growl. "Smells like dinner is about ready. If you want I can get you a bowl and dish you?" he said as he hung his head a bit. "Or if you prefer, you can get both of ours. It doesn't matter much to me." Leo moved back into the kitchen and grabbed the bowls, finding it easy to locate them since they were right above the sink in a cupboard but he didn't put any noodles into them until he heard his brother's answer.

Leo nodded, glad that his brother gave him a task to help out. He turned around in the same spot he was in and grabbed the bowls, bringing them to the table and sitting down in one of the chairs. "How was work today?" he asked softly, waiting a little impatiently for dinner to be served. Finding where everything was each and every day took it out of him, but in a way it was kind of an adventure too.

Leo was a bit surprised at one of the luxuries his brother mentioned. He hadn't thought of it before because he assumed eye surgery would be a lot more expensive than they could have ever though possible. But now that he was thinking about it, he wasn't sure if he could go through that stress. "Or a bigger place..." he said softly, trying to change the subject but now that Asher brought it up it was all Leo could think about. "Ash....I'm not sure if I want to have surgery done." he said as he waited for his food.
