Cynder was guarding Lance's jail cell. She was not like all the other dragons, but she was a dragon. She looked at him as she brought him his meal, her helmet hiding her human form face. "You can't give up. I'll get you out of here." She said not wanting to see him die. She could tell he was close to it as she fed him. She secretly loved him unbenounced to the other guards. She had the voice of an angel and a gentle touch to her unlike all the others. She then took off her helmet to reveal her face hoping he wouldn't be upset with her.

"Because I don't like hurting other's. I want the war to end. I lost my parents to your kind but I think it's wrong what they are doing to you." SHe said before she started to feed his meal to him and saying "Don't worry I will make good on my promise to get you out of here. Even at the cost of my own life, I will help you." She then put her hands against his cheek when the meal was finished and her hands began to glow. SHe was using her powers to help him heal faster. She then said "I will be guarding you tonight so I will be thinking of a plan while I am not guarding you. Just promise me you will not speak anything of this to the others."

Later that night after another torturing of Lance, Cynder was put on duty and had received the keys to Lance's cell and chains. They normally kept the chains on while the prisoners were in their cells but when it came time to kill or torture them, they took them off once they were sure they couldn't get away. Cynder then waited for the other guards to leave and when they were gone, she entered Lance's prison cell. "Sorry I'm so late." She said as she knelt toward him and placed her hand on him as it started to glow healing his wounds. She wasn't about to live here anymore, especially since her lord and master had betrothed her to someone from another kingdom. She didn't want to get married because she loved Lance and thought what he was doing was wrong. She the undid his chains and said "Pretend that I am moving you to another block. When we get to the lookout point we will have to go underground without being seen." She knew it wouldn't be easy and that he might turn on her but didn't want to see him die.

Cynder smiled. "I know I'm only healing you enough so you can walk." She said then helped him up before she put her helmet on. "Okay. Let's go." She said and gripped his arm firmly but gently. She smiled under her helmet and took him away from his cell. When she was asked where she was taking him, she said "I'm taking him to the king. He wants to torture this prisoner himself." Then she went towards the throne room and turned before she got there heading towards the gates where all the guards were asleep. SHe took him to the forest and went into a hut that she lived in. She lived far from the others but she was very lonely. But no one wanted anything to do with her. She figured that she would be alone forever. Once they were inside she removed her helmet and healed Lance's remaining wounds. "There. You should rest for now. No one knows where I live so you will be safe here until I can get you back to your home. Would you like anything to eat or drink? I know they didn't feed you much. I have plenty of food and water." She said going into the bedroom before she changed into a white flowing nightgown that only showed her beauty.

"Yes, unfortunately." She said and smiled a sad smile at him. She was putting her hair up as usual. She then turned and said "Please, make yourself comfortable. Don't be nervous." She said before she noticed his clothing was torn and very dirty. "I have some clothing from my older brother that might fit you if you would like some fresh clothing." She said and smiled but it seemed happier than the first. Her older brother had been killed in the war and she missed him dearly but was glad he was not suffering from his injuries. She then went to her brother's room and got some clothing that she thought would fit Lance. She then handed them to him and said "Something wrong? Your face is red like a tomato," Before she giggled. She always enjoyed when she was able to help someone. SHe was actually part of a resistance that was against the war and the dragon king.

Cynder smiled as she noticed him coming out. She was making dinner and enough for both of them. She didn't have much since the forest didn't have much this time of year but she didn't eat much so it was okay. But she hoped that Lance would trust her enough to at least eat. She used her dragon powers to help her cook and set the table as her fire cooked a whole chicken that she managed to get from her meals at the palace. She sighed a bit since she was a bit lonely knowing Lance would leave her. She hoped that he would be okay around her.

"Don't worry about that. There is a spell that is around this forest. I made it so I wouldn't be found unless I want to be. It hides my sent and if that fails, it makes it so that the intruders get lost." Cynder said and smiled a bit as she ate. She didn't have much, but she was going to the base in order to get more supplies and get her next assignments.
