ZOMG for me is...
  an ordinary game
  somewhat an rpg game?
a place to earn more gold!
a place to hangout with other gaians
  time consuming
  uninteresting

So, I've decide to open up this topic to ask your opinion. What do you think of zomg? Is it worth playing and spending your precious time? I'm not playing that much of it because I kinda feel it is quite boring and as someone who is up for quest, it's not profitable at all. I'll rather spend my time with 2 hours of booty grab or on other forums than taking a peek of the game. How about you?

I like zOMG but I think it could have been made a little better. Its a fun way to waste time if you like rpg type games.

I find I enjoy soloing really and that soloing is more fun if you buy a little summon buddy.

I agree. There are still a lot of things that needs to be done with zOMG. I love RPG games but for some reason, I'm not hook with it. I guess that's because of the items you can equip when you are in the world, the quests, and there is a slow progress for raising your level up. In most of the games, I usually go and look for a magic wielder. So probably, I'm looking for more magic casting rings in this game too. The quests and the way you can level up, they're a bit slow. You are doing a lot of things for a certain character only to get a few orbs, golds, and a ring. The orbs that is generated by doing a character's quest is not even enough to allow one of your rings to raise a level. So there you go, it really takes time for you to have an advancement in this game.

Well, to be fair. It IS the zOMG Beta, meaning technically, it's not even a full complete game. But that said, it does go rather slow. Some people are fans of level grinding games. You and I are simply not among them, I suppose.

There's not a lot of story that I've seen out there, mostly just repetitive 'dungeons' or a short story that ends with 'kill this many X enemies', 'kill this many X enemies again', in perpetuity.

It's lacking a solid story, or effective level of interactivity.

They simply haven't put in the effort. They're busy with other things.

Like for some inconceivable reason I had bought a Buccaneer Boardwalk ticket, and here, years later, it's still empty and useless.

:o Only just now realized who I was quoting. Hi there floral.

That's strange, most people prefer crew play. Otherwise, it's just tapping spells out...

I usually play alone myself, though. ninja

I have a gingerbread fluff. It's kinda annoying. xD

Are there any good summons?

Yeah the grind needs to be lowered a lot. New rings could be nice, I agree that we are lacking in 'mage' type rings atm... I personally would like freezing and maybe poisoning kind of spells not to mention lightning...

I just feel that zOMG has so much scope and untapped potential.

I went on a bit of a mad spending spree and got the Kiki. Its kinda funny and pats me on the nostalgia button, I dunno why it gives me so much joy to have a little Kiki running along after me but it does. I also want the pirate chicky and maybe a cool fluff... barnacle or cherry..

I guess buddies just appeal to me...

I have always tended to solo games mainly so maybe its why I prefer it. However in a good crew I do have a LOT of fun. smile

Hi Kay! Yeah, there is not much interaction in there and the story is kinda nothing. Quests are composed of defeating a certain number of monsters in order to get few orbs that are necessary for raising your level. How I wish they 'll do something about that soon... sad

I myself prefer to play alone. But I do join a crew sometimes. That's only if I get invited

Lightning rings!!! I love them. They are the most powerful attack for me biggrin I also think that we should have warp rings too so that we do not need to look for the null chamber when we need to go to other places. But having more rings, would mean we need more capacity for us to hold them while in combat...

I doubt they would add any more ring slots... sweatdrop

Probably, but still we can't tell. After all, it is still in beta.

Haha, it's the the zOMG that makes the crew fun, it's all the crazy that usually happens with them. xD

There are eight slots now, I could see them conceivably going to ten, although it doesn't look likely.

It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to tie the team based holiday events into zOMG, or maybe do something competitive with clans.

The kitty summons is cute, and I love Landy. Let's see what the new range of summons are like.

If you want help with quests, Nani's on hiatus but her thread is excellent. Heartfire has two available zOMG helpers, John Columbo in early AM and AM's, US time, and TigerLilyChick in afternoons and evenings, US time. And we have others who can help. They can't change the game, though.
If you want to work with them, send a friend request and mention Heartfire and HUB.
