Roark made his way down the boarder once more. This had been his second sweep of his guarding post. Half the day had gone by already and not a single cause for alarm... wonderful had he jinxed his luck already? He knew it was silly to believe in such things but... he couldn't help the way things had happened last time. He eyed the area wearily before nodding at a passing guard, it was one of the things he felt most safe about. There were multiple guards about to protect the inhabitants of this lands as well as the guards themselves.
He pawed the earth before moving onward a little bit of a distance away from the other protector, it was roaring distance really.

Mys'ketay's children from her first ever litter had for the most part moved on to find their paths in life, which she was worried about, but tried to keep herself optimistic. Although, considering her background it wasn't unreasonable for her to be weary for her children. Her daughters especially. "They will be fine." She said, inhaling a breath and then exhaling in an attempt to calm herself down. It was hard being a mother. It was even harder being a mother of children when you had never been taught how to be a parent by your own parents. Mys'ketay had done pretty well in raising her children though. Cordero seemed to be the only one that could use a bit more mothering. "I can only hope that he hasn't gotten himself killed by now." Mys'ketay shook her head. Cordero was a special one, maybe not in a good way.
After some wandering Mys'ketay found herself once more faced with a prides border in her quest for finding the swampie pride. Well, apparently they weren't swampies anymore. Unfortunately for Mys'ketay, no sooner had she arrived and thought she'd found her home she discovered the pride had to move because the swamps had become uninhabitable. She never seemed to have good luck. "Maybe this pride has seen them wandering the lands and will know where they went." She told herself optimistically. If not it wouldn't hurt to rest her paws for a day or two. She was still a young lioness and rather fit from her traveling, but that didn't mean she didn't get tired now and then.
Mys'ketay surveyed the border and noticed that just a short distance away was a lightly browned lion with a beautiful rusty mane that reminded her of sunset. "Excuse me." She said, with a smile despite the weariness she held for the encounter with the male in her voice. "May I ask you some questions?" Mys'ketay asked politely. The lioness had been rather skittish around males due to the horrible father that had raised her and a few encounters with rouge males. However, her uneasiness around them had lessened when one of those encounters had left her bearing cubs. She'd had two wonderful boys and it was because of them she was able to talk to this male like this now. Becoming an accidental mother had made her better.

Pale ears twitched to the sound of another voice. Turning cautiously he took in the appearance of one of the most lovely lioness' he had happened to come across. How she had come up on him he'd never know. It would seem more training was going to happen in his future. Now the question was... she rogue? or is she clan? 'I think I would remember a beauty like that.' Roark blinked and just processed that she asked a question. Moving closer Roark smiled charmingly, "Hello I don't think I've seen you around here before. I'll try to give answers the best I can miss. Are you here to join the pride?"

When the male turned in her direction Mys'ketay returned his smile. "Really? Thank you!" It was refreshing to talk to someone again and it was better that they were willing to let her ask questions. "Join? Oh no. I'm actually looking for a pride that moved. They were called the Swampies, did they come past here in their move?" Mys'ketay had grown too hopeful at the prospect of finding it after all this time. It was probably too much to ask for a glimpse of them at this point but the lionesses hope had been restored with this one lion. He seemed like a beacon in the dark at the moment. Whether he had seen them or not, Mys'ketay would still be overjoyed just because he had been willing to talk to her. Although, it would be a lie to say she also wouldn't be as equally disappointed too.

" Oh," Roark blinked and sat down politely getting ready to help give directions the best he could. " The swampies you say? Hmmm." He paused to think deeply. The name didn't ring a bell. "Sorry I don't think I've-" Roark jolted. "-oh I think I have I think--yes. Yes, there was a lion a few days ago that had wandered in these parts. A...naming? I think that was it. A naming quest that was it. Terrible thing that happened to the place. He went on about how there had been this fire and how he hoped he wouldn't get separated." Roark shook his head and recalled the others dramatic interpretations of events. It had been somewhat odd how giving he had been of information. "Come, we can discuss more of your pride while we take a little break. I am off duty and was just about to rest for a moment myself. You can join me if you wish. There maybe some fruits to nibble on or water to drink." Roar stood at attention, it was natural to him. Almost habit to hold his body in the way a solider would.
He made to move towards the watering area, " So you are hoping to gain access to live with the swampies are you?"
