Time Travel is an odd thing. Unpredictable it can spontaneously appear and vanish. During a thunderstorm a young man is walking home. Nearing some fallen power lines lightening strikes them oddly sending him back in time to the Victorian Era.
Some people think of him as a witch and try to kill him, so the young man was taken in by an alluring duchess. Unsure how to get back home the young man must come to realize that's he not going home, that this time is his new reality.
Unaware that at the same time, the very woman that had taken him in is planning on forcing him to become her husband so she could have a child. This woman is seen as an outcast in her society, so she figures if she can become pregnant it might bring her back up with society to where she doesn't need the young man anymore.
As the days get closer, they both start to fall in love, and by the time she realizes she's pregnant, her plans are different as the young man finds a lead to take him back to his current time! How will these two fair? Only time will tell...

Name: Chase Frost Age: 27 Personality: A kind young man with a bright future. Yet that all changed when he was forced back in time. Scared, alone, and lost, he is unsure what to think when people accuse him of being a witch because of his strange clothing. A bit shy about love and unsure about the alluring and beautiful, and possibly lonely, duchess that takes him in, he's hoping he can get back home safely. Deep down he would love to have a family, but getting back to his proper time is his focus. Appearance:

Name: Jane Everett Age: 24 Personality: She has been treated to finest things in life, rather spoilt, snotty and stuck up like most rich Victorian women are. Jane has never felt real love before, because she was sheltered and told to be a proper lady and wait for the men to come to her. No love involved, just marry wealthy and create an heir. She is an only child so there is alot of pressure for her to give her father a grandson before he passes. Appearance:

Chase's day couldn't get any worse, evening rather. Running to his house in a thunderstorm he could have sworn he was struck with a telephone pole. When he came around he was in some sort of stables. Immediately now being chased by a few people shouting about how he was a witch or something.
He couldn't run anymore, but he was running out of places to hide. The town was small so there wasn't much to work with. In the corner of his eye he spotted what looked to be a mansion. Doing his best to avoid the small mob chasing him, Chase quickly dashed up the side of the mansion's garden henge and hid in the shadows of the morning.
Panting he closed his eyes for a moment happy to have lost those people. His blue buisness clothes all covered in sweat he frowned. This had to be a dream, or at least a bad play with some sort of pratical joke. Everyone looked like they were English Victorians or something. Just what was going on here?
Chase seemed to be in a small garden maze. He hoped that whoever lived here didn't mind him just climbing into the place.

"Wake up Miss Jane, the weather is lovely today!" said a middle aged maid walking into the bedroom of this Miss Jane. The woman in the bed didn't seem to want to wake up, covering the silken sheets over her head as the curtains were drawn to show the warming glow of the morning. "Come along Miss, your father asked me to get you up. He will be coming over with more men for suitors" the rosy cheeked woman grinned, pulling the covers off the girl's head. "More suitors? What is his game?... it's like he wants a man to have his way with me.." Jane didn't like the idea of having children, she had seen countless young friends die at childbirth and didn't see the point in risking her life. But her father wanted an heir to his fortune. Jane was his only child and would constantly remind her that she should've been a boy. He even put her in her own mansion while he was trying to set up a suitable husband to provide the other half of the recipe. All of her fortune wouldn't be her's to start with unless she produced a grandson for her father. With all the money he had, he could do as he wished on the conditions of the inheritance.
"Yes I know you don't like all of this. But you're a very lucky woman! Sure you're a little bit old for most men's tastes but you make up for it with beauty. All these men want to take your hand, I never had that at your age you know." the maid tried to help Jane think on the brightside. "And to think, once you're married you'll have a lovely man and hopefully a little miracle on the way." This woman was kind and sweet, but she didn't know how a person in Jane's situation felt. Being a maid all her life she had never married, nor had any children her own. Sometimes she would mother Jane from time to time, giving her advice which was not always appreciated. "A lovely man? Are you kidding me? All they want me for is my money and to carry on their own genes, nothing more" Jane sighed, reluctantly getting out of bed to face the day. "Can't we just say I'm sick? I really don't want to face all this today"
After being squeezed into one of the most uncomfortable corsets, Jane could see an angry mob running around her grounds. What were they doing there?

"There He is! Over here!!! Get him!!!" a portly man shouted pointing at Chase.
Dammit! Can't I get a break for five minutes!? With a sigh he was off, unknown that he would probably be seen by the duchess and most likely most of the suitors that were entering the grounds.
Bumping into one of them the man Harrumphed! Then stared at Chase's odd clothing.
"Quickly grab him! That man's a Witch!!!" the portly man shouted.
"No I'm not! Leave me alone!!" he shouted back and burst through a few of the suitors that were trying to stop him. Chase dodged and bumped into men, lawn ornaments, and the like very comically. From a window's view it almost looked as if a mini comedy show was being performed. All he wanted was just to be left alone! This also was starting to annoy him as well.
It all seemed to end when he was trapped in a corner with various sharp objects being shoved towards him. Chase was scared, this felt too real to be a dream or a play. These people really were going to kill him weren't they? They really thought he was a witch? Funny, this isn't the way he thought that he would die honestly.

"What do those people think they are doing?.. Hurry up Mary, I need to get out there." The duchess told her maid who was dressing her in very elegant looking clothing. There was usually two layers, a chemise to protect the clothing from the skin with a petticoat to give structure to the corseted dress on top that gave her a thin waist. The smaller the waist, the better. The trick was to breathe in while it was being laced up, sure you would be out of breath most of the time but women were used to it by now. She wore it everyday. "Yes Miss, I'm going as fast as my fingers can let me" Mary replied, using as much force with her strength as she could to make sure the corset was as tight as it could be.
Once Jane was presentable with her long hair in a bun with a few curls left loose, she walked outside to see what all the fuss was about. She was more concerned for her garden statues then the young man being chased. He looked very strange indeed with his choice of clothing, maybe he was from a different country of some sorts. "Excuse me, but this is private property." Her voice came out loud, being a single woman she had more power with things. Once you were married, you were just a trophy wife on a man's arm. "And I don't care if this man is a witch, there is no such thing" Her eyes rolled, did these common people still believe in such nonsense? "If you all don't leave I shall be forced to report you all to the police" she threatened before seeing her father some into view with a few men in tow. Instantly her personality changed as she gave a well choreographed curtsy towards her father.
(you can play as him if you want lol)

The people stopped and backed away from Chase. She was right after all, this man hadn't turned anyone into a frog or anything. "Yeah, maybe you're right Lady Everett. We're so sorry good Lady!" the portly man said as the crowd gave her a bow of respect.
He looked at everyone pretty confused, but let out a sigh of relief. The crowd was leaving the premise when her father showed up, along with two men. One looked to be in his late 50's while the other one looked to be around 19.
"What is the commotion dear daughter of mine." he said pleased to see her giving him a curtsy. The two gentleman bowed before her. Jane's father then turned to Chase and gave him a slight distastefull frown.
"Well boy where are you from? I must say your attire is..rather..interesting." he said with slight distaste in his voice. "Are you a suitor as well? No daughter of mine is going to marry a man with such tacky taste in clothing!"
Before Chase could respond he was dragged into the mansion, as all the men seemed to be entering as well. Suitor? Marriage? All Chase wanted was an explanation?
"Mary!! Mary are you there!?" her father called for her maid. Seeing her hurry down the stairs as fast as she could Mary curtsied before Jane's father. Almost shoving Chase into the maid's bosom he smiled. "See to it that this young man gets some propper attire. I should have a few sets of clothing I left with my daughter, for her future husband of course, could you please get this buffoon changed into something more suitable for my daughter?"
"Right away Duke Everett. Come now, this way young man!" she gently said taking his hand and leading the very confused Chase up the stairs.
Jane's father sighed then clapped his hands. "Gentleman! Gentleman!! Welcome! Now if you all would kindly make your way into the living room you will all get a shot at wooing my Daughter." he said with a friendly smile.
Alot of the suitors bowed and exited into the living area, except for the older man her father brought with him. He followed the Duke into the study. Though this was Jane's Mansion, her father still designed it with himself in mind. Of course, he would be the final one in the say for his daughter's hand. When they both entered, he closed and locked the door behind him.
"Are you sure you need all of those men?" the older man asked with an impatient tone.
"Relax, none of them will be chosen Duke Hilbert. You are the one that will get my daughter's hand as promised in our last meeting." her father replied taking a seat in one of the comfy chairs in his study. Offering a fancy cigar he watched as Hilbert took a seat on the opposite side of himself.
"Good! Otherwise you'll never get the extra land and money we agreed on." Duke Hilbert said twirling his greying moustache curl. A bit of a pudgy fellow, he looked more like a bloated toad than a man. Jane was a catch and every man wanted her, including the Duke. Though he was way too old for her, that didn't matter. Bribe the father with the best you had to offer, then take all he has when you marry the daughter.
Hilbert was a master at this little game of his, after all he would just trade the daughter off to a tavernkeeper to make her a tavern wench or something worse. If his plan fell into place, Jane would be his fifth bride. Duke Hilbert was much of a louse as he was a bloated toad, but he kept his gambling life and this scam underneath his large fancy tophat well. Those that found out about it were usually caught on the other end of his pistol and dumped into the river. Smoking the cigar lightly, he loved this plan. Getting rich off of the Dukes that would do anything to make sure their daughters were well off. Nothing and nobody could stop him!
(I'm sorry about Marry. ^^; You can control her when it's your post. Just have her find something for Chase to wear. xD You can change his clothes and have her banter to him if you'd like. :3)

Jane was rather glad that this whole witch hunt thing was over and done with, but now her father clearly wanted to get the ball rolling today. She couldn't tell him that she had enough with all of these meetings with men, that would just anger him. Though she had more power not being married, there was no tolerance of not obeying a man. Not saying a word to anyone, she simply walked inside and sat on a hand crafted sofa. It looked as though some one the servants had placed chairs everywhere in the room so everyone had a place to sit down. Jane had took no notice of the older man, she figured he was one of the men's fathers or something like that.
Mary beamed as she guided him towards the room that was set up for however would take the Duchess's hand in marriage. It was locked most of the time and only staff had the key to keep Jane out, just incase she decided to turn the room into something else or destroy it's contents. "My my, you are very handsome. A little rugged, but handsome" she smiled while looking through the wardrobe to collect a fine suit. "hmmmmm" Mary pondered, putting a few suits up against him to see if any were his size. With luck one seemed to be correct. "Now.. what to do with your hair? It's rather long.." cutting it was probably too much for the young man, so with a ribbon she tied it back, much like the hair style the prince had in Beauty and the Beast. The story was written over a hundred years ago, so everyone knew of it as children. "What is your name... Mr...?" Mary asked, turning around so he could get changed.

He blushed at her comment, Chase really didn't get called handsome much. Mostly it would be from his mother or annoying aunt. To hear another woman say it kind of threw him off a little. Allowing her to take care of his hair, Chase felt a little stupid wearing a bow. He just hoped this wasn't going to be some kind of prank by some of his working buddies or something.
"It's Chase, Chase Frost." he replied carefully putting on the wardrobe. Man it felt odd. Buttoning up everything he wanted to laugh at himself, man did he look stupid in the mirror. "Alright you can turn around Miss." he said kindly unsure of really what to do.
Should he ask? Part of him kind of got the impression he would get an odd look or something but he had to get something cleared up. "By the way, what year is it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm a traveler so I'm not always keen on dates and times sometimes. Sorry to trouble you."
A traveler sounded good, at least for now it was better than I'm a man from the future or something like that. The last thing Chase wanted was to be killed in another time period. Why he thought he was in another time period he didn't know. Yet he asked the kind maid just incase.

Chase? What a strange name for a man, she had never heard of such a thing. It was clear he was not from around her just by name alone. He must of travelled from a very different country. Turning around once the maid got the all clear, her slightly wrinkled face smiled. "Oh my! You look very dapper in that suit I must say Mr Frost" she complimented, brushing off any bits of fluff and flattening down wrinkles in the fabric. "I think Miss Jane is really going to like you, you'll be fine" Mary smiled once more, walking back over to the wardrobe to retrieve a box. Inside contained a very smart top hat.
"Now, when you see her you can't call her Miss Jane like I can. Because you don't know her" Mary figured being a traveller he didn't have much knowledge on how to address a lady of Jane's status. "You can call her Lady Everett or simply My Lady." the maid instructed as she pondered on why he asked such a stange question. Though like he said, he was a traveller. Maybe he just didn't have a calender on his travels. "Certainly, it's July the 12th, 1846... gosh you must have been travelling a long time to even ask for the year."

Putting on the top hat he blinked. So all of this was for a lady? Oh well not that it mattered. Chase was just glad that he was able to get the date. So it was 1846? Oh well that explained everything...1846!?
He gasped, so he had traveled back in time somehow!? No way! This was..all just a prank right? Looking into the woman's eyes, she didn't look like the type to lie. With a bow he smiled.
"Thank you so kindly for everything." he said to her trying to keep his cool. Inside he felt like crying though. Maybe this was just a dream? Yeah! That was it a dream! He would wake up eventually right? For now he would just go along with this silly dream.
Before he knew it, Chase was led back downstairs again and into the room where a bunch of really nicely dressed men were. They seemed to be surrounding a beautiful red haired woman. She must be Lady Everett. Hmm, she's pretty cute yet way out of my league. What's going on here anyway? he thought feeling a bit embarassed as few of the men stared at him.

Mary was standing beside him "Mr Frost, my lady" she introduced the young man to Jane and the others in fact. Jane blinked for a moment, he scrubbed up really well, whoever he was. "Please take a seat Mr Frost" she held out a gloved hand towards one of the empty chairs. Jane hated all of this, but had no choice. She had to be this elegant and noble woman infront of her father and all these men.
"Now, I'm guessing all of you are here to see if you're suitable for my hand in marriage" she told everyone in a sort of speech that she would tell every group of men her father brought along.
