the text looks so nappy, I realize that it's due to web compression, but I'm not sure how to prevent that (without making the file HUUUUGE ). I've never had that problem before so I'm at a loss.

I don't know what program you're using, but maybe there's you can place the text in as a vector selection and have the antialias option on. Or... something. That's my best explanation since I'm still using Paint Shop Pro 6 to do my image editing.

I like the painting though! I like the looseness of it.
