The land Omidus, which lays upon the shores of Smuggler's Straight, is a kingdom of elves. They are often kind to visitors, and are mostly tolerant of species aside from their own. Their culture flourishes within the city, and every young child knows the tales of their kings past. Underestimate them not however, for though the kingdom may be lead by Queen Nalia, she is ruthless and yet elegant, brutal yet precise, for this kingdom holds all the traits that have been given by their species, and yet chose to act out barbarically. These elves are brutish warriors, more akin to orcs than man when their battle cries echo over the lands.
The city itself would remind one of a Celtic culture. Their carvings depicting battles, stories, and creatures of legend, this city thrives on it's craft as well as it's destructive force. Queen Nalia herself has been known to act like a lady for her citizens, but is often compared to a man before her soldiers.
Laws 1. You shall not murder, or else you shall suffer a similar fate 2. The taking of another's child is no less a crime than murder 3. Outsiders must leave the city before the sun sets, unless invited into the home of a citizen. The punishment is imprisonment. 4. You shall not steal, else those whom you stole from shall receive all of your property. If you have no property then you will be placed under their rule until the victim deems otherwise. 5. You shall speak not of the kingdom's military aspects to an outsider, the penalty is death. 6. All trade vessels not simply passing by to Thieves Haven, must report their current cargo hold, else their store shall be seized.

▀ ▄ ■ □C a r e T o F i n d O u t ?□ ■ ▄ ▀ My Place:⇨ In The City My Mood⇨ Is Survival ☪ While in her bedroom, Nalia was laying in her bed, already dressed for the days activity. She just stared up at her ceiling, thinking of memories of past. How she enjoyed her fathers company, her mothers melody.....The only way to remember their faces was the painting in her room. She motioned her head to the left to look at the said painting...it was a bit faded now with the consultation of age..... ☪ The female elf let out a soft sigh before standing. She walked to her bedrooms balcony, opening the doors and stepping outside, hearing her people cheer out once they caught sight of her. With obligation, She smiled and waved to her fellow folk and strangers. Soon walking back inside. She headed downstairs to meet with her servants announcing that her daily meetings will begin shortly. However, Nalia had other plans. ☪ "Tell the council I will postpone the meeting till later this afternoon, I have something I need to do." Clear my mind, she said aloud and thought after. The suited man bowed his head in acceptance of her change, and left her to be alone. Life of royalty was getting rather dull, She wanted something in her life to change it. The meeting she were to have was to only hear the sexist men bicker about who they need a queen not a woman leading the people, and what of an heir? ☪ Nalia slammed her fist in the wall beside her. She knows she has to have an heir if she were to pass...But no man could ever amount to her needs or wants. No man could interest her in such a way. Right now she needed to get out into the wilds and ride. Upon, walking outside to the stables, she met up with her steed. A war horse only she would ride, the very same she caught and tamed. The horse had a love yellowish tint to it with a black mane. He was beautiful, compared all else to the other horses. She sattled him up, and took off into the near by wilds with the small trail to follow. ((Exit))

▀ ▄ ■ □C a r e T o F i n d O u t ?□ ■ ▄ ▀ ☪ (Enter) From the grand woods from an evening stroll to an encounter that irritated to the point of not wanting to meet with another man. Sadly, her stable boy servant came to her "rescue". As she dismounted and handed the already unbuckled settle to the stable boy, he was about to mention of the council meeting with the other royal courts representing the other nations, but already, Nalia already raised her hand to silence him, and headed inside her home. Here, she was greeted by her butler along with several maidens who bowed their heads, welcoming her back. ☪ Far off was the chattering council who then turned to her attention after her servant announced to them of her return. Nalia wanted to just go up in her room and rest, she had enough already, nothing was out in the world waiting for her, no one would come to show her a wonderful time, and NOTHING to excite her!. Just these old gossiping men who can think of nothing better than to bicker and complain that a woman is a leader, a Widowed queen no less! The men bowed their heads to her and she gestured them to follow her to the upstairs council room that has been prepared. She also requested her maidens to ask the cooks to re-heat their food or make them a new meal that will be already hot and ready for their taste. ☪ In the mean time, Nalia was seated at the head of the table and began to conversation. Firstly it was about the set up for weaponry, what they should prepare for a war that might be heading in their direction. Another argued about the defense, on what we can do to protect our selves, and the people of her nation, while finally the last had the gull to ask why she had not wed once more, that why should her people or anyone for that matter follow her lead or even listen to a women who married into the royalty but is not born of one. ☪ That's when she slammed her hands on the table, standing straight forward as she glared at these men. She began to exclaim her facts how it was true she was born from the commoners, but to this she understands her people more than any royalty known! She also reminded them how her late husband taught her the ways of diplomats as well as war. She is more than over qualified to rule this land. And lastly she also stated. "If you don't wish for me to rule.....I'd like to see you take it from me..." She said with a cold tone, slowly leaning forward as she stared them dead in the eyes. When they could see their own reflection in them, the men began to quiver, they were reminded why this land was called the land of brutish elfs. ☪ With that their food finally arrived, however, she dismissed the men and had them escorted out of her home. The maidens looked to Nalia with a bit of a pout. More or less with the tone of, we worked hard enough only to not please you. With a smile, she told her maidens to eat the feast the cook have made, that there were plenty enough to go around for every worker in her home. Smiles of joy filled their eyes, and hurried off to tell the rest of the wonderful news. With that, Nailia let out a soft yawn before heading into her chambers, where she planted herself to her lonesome queen bed, a photo of her past family staring back at her. Nalia gave it a good long gaze before saying sorry.....

▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇Brokus Rarehawk▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ====Ϯ==== The clatter of the many small scale like plates made little sound, after all elfish craft was lesser only to the dwarves and goblins, which was more than suffice to create a piece so alike to a whisper. The steal plating still maintained a sufficient capability for combat however, a perfect suit of armor for it's wearer. Stepping up to the noble queen's door that morning was Brokus Rarehawk, an elf who's experience with a blade was known as far as Nes'Tanlidan across the Gallows Sea. one of his two long ears had even been torn, becoming similar to that of a man's rather than an elf's, and upon the same side he wore two scars along his cheek. Neither marking brought the man disrespect however, for behind those wounds lay a grand legend told to the young of the city Omidus even today, thus his long black hair never fell to guard them from the eyes of onlookers. "Your highness," He spoke in a humble tone, noble enough to bow even despite the door between them. "This morning's reports, as usual. Do you wish to hear them?"

▀ ▄ ■ □C a r e T o F i n d O u t ?□ ■ ▄ ▀ ☪ Waking up to the distorted muffle of a man's voice coming from the other side of the door. Nalia slowly had herself sit up with a short yawn. She was still in her armor as usual but her hair was a bit of a mess. Then again, it usually always is. ☪ Forcing herself out of her bed, Nalia slowly made her way to the door. From the sound of the voice, announcing her daily reports, it was Brokus, the one man she could stand to be around with. ☪ Without haste, The Queen opened the door to see him bowing just as he finished speaking. "Rise...Please come inside..." She started with a tired expression before stepping to the side to let the other in. Nalia then walked off to her small dinning chair, where earlier that day, the maids dropped off her daily rounds of tea, where she surely enough, poured herself a glass. Though its cold now, still, delicious.

▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇Brokus Rarehawk▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ====Ϯ==== "My lady....how were the meetings with the council this mourning?" Brokus asked, his sword tapping lightly against his attire as he stepped into the dimly sunlit room. "Certainly they have grown as tired as I with...the usual." The elf gave a short smile, nodding towards the picture of the young queen's family, still hanging with all it's glory where it had during the previous reign. The warrior soon stood beside the table where the cool beverage had sat, but as always the noble knight chose to remain standing rather than sit without permission from one he, like so many others among the warriors of Omidus knew, should so highly respect. The elf had after all been standing beside the woman upon more than one hostile occasion. "I grow tired of Thorn and his dried old kin complaining over such trivial...and rather pointless matters." Rarehawk offered.

▀ ▄ ■ □C a r e T o F i n d O u t ?□ ■ ▄ ▀ ☪ Closing the door behind herself, she faced the other Elf, motioning her hand for him to go ahead and take a seat. She went ahead towards the table, taking a seat closest towards the open area, but still facing her warrior companion. "The meetings are so drawl as usual." She began, trailing off for only a moments time before looking up to the male elf with a weak smile. Truly he was a worthy foe, but a better friend. Who else could she have asked for if not him to stand by her side during wars. ☪But hearing him agree with how dull the council meetings are, she also remembered how she continues to put each one of those old men in their place. be it that they are fare worse than sexist, they know better than to cross her. But Nalia fears the time may be coming when one of those men might try something drastic as to humiliate her....or worse...The female elf chuckled to hearing Brokus last comment before looking over towards him with her kind smile. ☪ "I couldn't agree more with you on that, friend. But, perhaps they do have a point....I wont live forever, and if this kingdom should ever continue with it's harmony after I fall, I would need an heir....." Nalia scoffed at herself for even suggesting re marrying. No man could love her but only fear her. She turned her attention to her families portrait and began to feel her smile fade. ☪ She looked down in mid thought before pouring herself a cold glass of tea, now that you think of it, would be considered as ice tea at this point, and held the small round cup in her hands as she looked down into the liquid. "Then again, it's always fun to deny those men of what should be the right thing to do, and simply prove them that I can rule by myself, and if I should fall, I can always give this kingdom to you, my friend." Nalia added, looking back to her friend with a teasing smile.

▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇Brokus Rarehawk▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ====Ϯ==== As his queen offered him a place to seat himself, the warrior soon strode over with a calm yet brisk stride, settling lightly to rest upon the cushioned furniture so that the might meet his fellow brawler at eye level before he spoke. Brushing aside the cloak he'd worn that day so that it would not make the seat uncomfortable Brokus simply chuckled at Nalia's last notion. "Please my queen, I have no more a heir than you, and am even less likely to live so long." He began, scratching lightly behind his torn ear as the scent of the cool tea mingled among those of the tranquil morning. "Besides, citizens don't want to listen to someone they can only see as a warrior." It was true, the elvish people, though among the Brute Elves of Omidus they were quite a bit more barbaric and brutal, still remained apathetic against causes of minor wars, while they appeared overly concerned over matters of tradition and etiquette. On the other hand, as Rarehawk thought it over, he would rather make his stand to lead the kingdom than allow it to fall into the hands of Thorn... "Anyways," Brokus interrupted himself, turning the subject onto what he believed to be more important matters. "Rumors of rising wars in the north are reaching us through Smuggler's Straight. They say Garnoff has fallen under a fool, and Dokoro intends to swallow it, while Arkadius has rounded his troops to face east...towards Tenzonokit..." Now scratching at the scar that ran along his features, the war hardened elf wondered if such rumors held any weight, or if thrown into water it would merely float. "Even the Goblin king of Ivon'Gore has turned away as his warriors march...should we prepare our troops as well?" A gentle breeze sifted in through the windows, fluttering the nearly transparent curtains and sometimes whistling against the suites of armor that lined the warrior race's halls. The question now stood, should those suites of armor ever be set into motion?

▀ ▄ ■ □C a r e T o F i n d O u t ?□ ■ ▄ ▀ ☪ Nalia looked towards the window as well, she could have sworn it was closed before. Blinking out of thought and into reality, she turned her head towards the other with a faint smile. The news was not all pleasant nor concerning. Looking back to her cup of cold tea, she saw her own reflection. ☪ "You mentioned rumors of rising wars in the north are reaching us through Smuggler's Straight correct? Should I be that concerned?" She then took a small sip of her tea before leaning back in her chair, lowering the cup to her other hand as she continued to stare into her cup. ☪ "I heard the rebellion ceased, but was lead by a female Troll....I'm not surprised that the Goblin King would turn away from his men who now fight for such a character........Though these rumors are a tad concerning....."☪ Nalia trailed off, taking another final sip off her ice tea before setting the empty round cup on the table. "My dear friend, what is your opinion on this?" She asked, hoping to get a second opinion on the matter.

▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇Brokus Rarehawk▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ====Ϯ==== The war hardened elf suddenly seemed to slip into thought momentarily, though in truth he had already thought of the proper answer to reply with. It wasn't difficult for his vague idea of proper procedure to be passed on to another, especially when passed on to another who knew him so well. "I believe the best we can do is to hope for the best..." he began, halfway unsheathing his the sword which hung at the elf's belt as if to examine the fine edged steal who's blade had been marked by many encounters. "And prepare for the worst..." he finished, returning the weapon to it's home. "Thorn will likely push us towards war, but only after the kingdoms have utilized all of their resources against one another.... the drouk would likely wish to conquer the regions with such little to oppose us...." Brokus let loose a short sigh before continuing, pondering the old elf's face as he imagined which speech the wrinkled drouk would propose. "I'd prefer if we refrained from unnecessary bloodshed for something so trivial as land." Allowing first for a moment to pass before the warrior's gaze would again meet with the mighty queen's, Rarehawk did return her stare soon enough, arising a question which they both would have expected by now to reveal itself. "And you my queen, what of your thoughts?" He asked politely. (( So sorry about the gap inbetween, on top of not being able to get on like I have been, I didn't realize that the first time I posted this didn't go through. Sorry for the hold up.))

▀ ▄ ■ □C a r e T o F i n d O u t ?□ ■ ▄ ▀ ☪ Glancing to the gleam the sword gave off when the sun mirrored its light, bouncing off to the wall on the opposite side of the room. Nalia closed her eyes while motioning her right fingers to message her temples. "If we are to be forced into conflict that is none of our concern then yes we should prepare. However, since it's nothing to take worry upon now, we will simply prepare ourselves so when the day does arrive....." Nalia trailed off raising her head while pushing her hands to the table to force herself to an abrupt stand. ☪ "We will be ready for whatever sad excuse of warriors they throw at us....." She finished, with the hint of confidence behind her words. Taking a evened out breath, followed by sighing some in slight irritation wit the events going about of recently, Nalia had this compelling felling that there was more. Perhaps she's over thinking it, but there was that hint of doubt.. ☪ "For some odd reason I get the feeling there's something hiding from all that is happening now.....That it will reveal to use when the time is just....." The thought of such a statement felt as though it echoed in the back of her thoughts, trying to find a clue, or answer to the distress that was ever so slowly, creeping up her spine. "But...I agree that we avoid as much bloodshed than need be. I cannot afford nor wish to loose any of my people..." The elf queen, at this point, was pacing back and forth, taking mid strides, left and right. Sadly, her patience was running thin, she needed to see the world for herself and see what state it's in. See who she should ally herself with as well as knowing her enemies....Without a word, Nalia stormed out of her own room, down the stairs, throughout the hallways, and out of her own home....She had to know and see for herself.....
