 Light laughed.''You got turned into a cat and your so short now.What are you now? Like 5?" Light said."Well your intelligence is that of a 3 year old.'' L said."Hey,just cause your a midget now doesnt mean I wont still hit you." Light said.''B-bully...'' L whined and sniffeled."Shut up,cat.Lets get you some cake." Light said then picked L up and walked to the kitchen.L griped at Light's shirt."Your a bully.'' L said."Well if your bad,you wont get cake." Light teased."Id get it myself but Im too little now...Mew~!'' L said."What was that? Dont do that.Dam* it." Light said,blushing lightly.

 Just then a bang was heard outside in the garage from the metal trash cans by the door. Appearantly the garage door had an old doggy door that belonged to a dog that Light and L used to have before they had to put him down. Luna was in the trash cans searching for food again. There was a cat or something goign around and tipping over the neighbor's trash cans in the night. It was Luna. She was rummaging through the trash cans to find foo for herself. SHe was a sweet cat but wasn't used to human contact since she had been a stray her whole life. Though she was a very beautiful cat of exotic nature under all that muk and grime in her fur. Not to mention she was a very rare breed of cat. Not many of them were left. They were known as Domestic Servals. She was a big cat but still a cat none the less. Then she heard the door open and ran under a couch that Light used to hang out in when he was alone. She shook and growled alittle hoping he wouldn't come near her.

"Mew~! Lighty,beat up the monster! Protect the cake,Lighty!" L said,excitedly."S-Shut up,cat.And my name isnt Lighty." Light said,sitting the boy on the counter.He made the boy a plate,giving him a slice of cake with a fork.He handed it to the boy who started eating the cake happily.He was still the same weird L but smaller."Thats what we get for breaking that link.'' Light said then went into the garage to check on the noise."Tsk,what smells like garbage?'' Light said,holding his nose.

Then a pair of eyes could be seen glowing in the light coming from the garage light. Plus a small growling sound could be heard. Then a cat could be seen trying to make a run for the door but it wouldn't open from the inside. It was stuck again. Then she huddle in the corner and Luna knew that she might be in trouble. She then hissed at Light and looked as if she was freaked out as her fur spiked up and her back arched like she was face to face with a dog. Then Light's doberman Rosco came over and Luna growled at him and hissed more. She didn't have rabies. SHe was just scared. Rosco then looked at his master waiting for his command on what to do. Luna was shaking badly and you could see she was hurt because of the dried blood on her leg which had an infected gash on it. SHe needed medical help but wouldn't let anyone touch her. It was amazing she had lived this long with the infection.

Light pressed a button on the wall and the garage door opened."Cat,go somewhere.I dont have time to deal with extra mess." Light said.Once the cat ran off,Light closed the garage door and put a trunk in front of doggy door.Light then went to L who had finished off his cake already."You should of gave me more.'' L said."No.I dont want you to get a stomach ache.'' Light said then put the fork and glass plate in the sink.Light picked L up and went to his room.He laid down with the sleepy L.L clung to his shirt and Light sighed.Just because they broke that chain,L got younger.It was determined that he would grow back to his real age soon though.

Luna then layed down on the front porch as it started to rain and winced a bit as she layed down. She then mewed loudly as she got back up and limped wincing as she did. SHe stayed under a chair that was on the front porch and tucked her front paws under her while her back legs were beside her. She then started to breathe through her mouth from her fever and stumbled over to the door and scratched at it. She knew she needed help but didn't know if she could trust anyone. Then Rosco stopped at the door and looked outside. He then pushed a button and the door opened tehn he carried Luna to his bed and whimpered before he went to Light and tugged don his sleeve before whimpering and darting to the door as if something was wrong. Luna was breathing heavily as she layed in the dog bed. Rosco led Light to Luna and layed down next to her and saw she was barely awake. The fever was really bad. Then she looked up at Light and mewed weakly. The stress from before had made ehr fever and infection worse. Plus she was soaked so that wasn't helping eaither.

''Tsk,why are you in here again? Its not like I can feed you anything.And if you stay here tonight,your leaving first thing tomorrow.I dont take in strays and crap and Im certainly not doing it now.I have too much stuff to do right now.How can I take care of a cat too? I dont even know how that dog gets fed nowadays.If the dog can somehow take care of you then you can stay otherwise you need to find another person to bug.And you cats like to jump on everything you see.Keep off my furniture.I dont know what youve been in but you stink.Maybe you should be in that rain.It can only make you cleaner.My friend turned into a kid and I gotta fix him.'' Light said,annoyed then got his bag before going back to his room.He sat by the boy and petted his head.''Mew~'' L said then purred.''S-Stop doing that.What am I gonna do with you?" Light said.He cradled the boy in his arms.

The Rosco came in and nudged Light's hand trying to get him to help his cat friend. He looked at him sadly and whimpered tugging on his shirt. Luna mewed calling Rosco from the door and Rosco went over to her and whimpered. THe poor thing was shivering and soaked to the bone. Rosco whimpered and licked her head before she stumbled over to Light and sat beside the bed looking up at him as if to say 'help me please.' She then was put on the bed by Rosco and purred a bit as she nudged Light's arm trying to get him to help her. Her leg was not bleeding but it was infected and needed to be fixed right away. She was an abandoned cat and was realyl skinny. SHe was abandoned a little over a month ago and you could still see her collar without any tags on it. Tho her owner wasn't the kind of man to spend most of his time with a cat, he still took care of her until his money ran out. There was a note attached to her collar her icey blue eyes were glassy but they were still really pretty. Then she mewed weakly and layed down next to Light trying to show him that she could behave herself. Then she looked up at him and winced abit as she moved her back left leg. Rosco whimpered and looked at Light and barked saying "Please help her master."

"Cat,get off my bed." Light said then brushed the cat off of it."Your dirty and youve probably been in garbage and who knows what else." Light said.He picked up L by the back of his shirt then dangled him in front of the two animals."You two see this boy? He is the only one that really needs my attention right now.He cant survive on his own in his current condition.Your both animals.Even without your parents,if you had to,you could manage on the streets by yourself.L cant.He needs to be cared for right now.Ive never been a brother or anything but Im going to care for him,even if I dont like the older him...I'll give you some milk but thats it.I dont have to be nice to you or keep you here.If you end up hurt,thats none of my bussiness.You insisted on coming to the wrong house to freeload in.'' he said.

But then something happened to Luna and she turned into a little girl. Her ears were flat against her head and said "I should have known you were like everyone else." She tehn went over to the window and jumped into the tree and was crying. She ran off and was about hit by a car but they stopped just in time and she limped away into the woods blood trickling down her leg. When she stopped the rain had stopped. SHe had bruises and cuts all over her legs. She was on a cliff before Rosco growled at his own master who had him sicne a puppy and chased after her. SHe was in no condition to be alone. SHe was cold, wet, hungry, and lonely. All she wanted was someone to care for her. Then she took off her collar and opened the heart shaped bell to reveal a digital picture of her master and it played a song. "Why does everyone hate me? All I want is some place warm and love." She said and huddled as she shivered and cried. Then she got dizzy and since she was in the park on a bench she could be hurt more or worse. Then she coughed and blood came out of her mouth. SHe then layed down shivering and had a really high fever. SHe sniffled and huddled her legs against her starting to fall asleep seeing total darkness. Her hand was covered in blood and her chest hurt. SHe had always been sickly but never like this. She was dying and wanted someone to help her. Then Rosco found her and whimpered as he dragged her under a tree and curled up against her. She hugged him and said "Thank you doggy." She said weakly and snuggled against him. He nuzzled her and licked her forehead trying to calm her.

''Why cant we help her,Lighty?" L said,looking up at Light."I have enough on my plate as it is.I have to go to work,keep paying for the house,and still feed you,not to mention give you attention.I dont want you to get lonely or anything.I dont have time to deal with another person too.If she can change into a human,she could just go to an orphanage.They shouldnt be able to kick a child onto the streets.But there are other people that she can go to for help.They might have the time to take care of her and my dog seems to like her.Im sure he'll watch over her.And now I dont have to spend money on dog food and dog shampoo.I can spend that extra money on you and bills.'' Light said then petted the boy's head.''I just need to get some type of schedule working and even then I dont know if I want another animal in this house.But I dont even know how long you'll be like this.You could be like this for afew hours or months." Light said.L looked down and fiddled with his sleeves."Lighty is going through a tough time.I'll be good for Lighty.I wanna make Lighty smile.'' L said then kissed Light's cheek."L..." Light said then hugged the small neko."We also have to investigate more.There has to be a way to fix this.I know we dont really have much to go on though..." Light said."We are almost better off picking random ideas and hoping they might work....Maybe if we were to cultivate a friendship of sorts? I dont know if it would work but if we were to become friends....M-Maybe its nothing more than a foolish,random thought I had.Please forget my previous statement.'' L said.''L,it wouldnt hurt to try.The worst thing that could happen is that we would have to try something else.'' Light said.''Really? Oh goody....Im glad you didnt adopt her.I like having you all to myself.'' L said then purred.

((I'm gonna timeskip to when she is 13 and has been adopted by a demon who is an enemy of theirs.)) 
About 8 years later, Luna was with her father who was a demon that L and Light didn't like. She remembered their faces and had always had a grudge against them. There had been a recent spree of killins lately mostly men that looked like them. Right now she was walking passed their home in her cat form her let ear was peirced and she had darkness in her heart due to the cruelty she had gone through as a child until her father adopted her. She hated those boys and after Rsco died she had stopped showing emotions completely. Her eyes were as cold as ice but deep inside she wanted to show them what they had done to her. She rarely ever smiled except when she was going crazy stabbing men and those who saw. Strangely enough though the police had not linked any of the killings together. All they knew was they were young men that looked almost the same. Mainly like Light and L. She didn't kill little boys though just young men. She had gotten so powerful that she was a force to be reconed with. She then saw a mouse, caught it and ate itbut played with it. The scar from the surgery she had gone through after she was found by the demon showed everytime she was in her human form. THen she saw a happy couple and growled as she remembered the words of a young rich couple saying "She's worthless. Not worth a penny." Very few could see her though she did have the locket that her first master gave her. SHe wore it on her wrist since the necklace grew too small. Tomorrow she started going to the same school as L. She showed very little interest in anyone but her father. SHe then raised her nose at the couple and walked towards her home beside Light and L's home. They were just moving in today tothe empty old house. Then she walked over to her father and said "Daddy must we move here. The smell of the human's are making me sick. Plus I hate this neighborhood." THen her father said "Now luna you must understand I intend to help you gain back everything you've lost but we must do what we can to blend in." Luna sighed but nodded and sat on the front steps after the movers brough in the heavier stuff. Then her pet shadow cat came over to her and she pet the cat picking him up and saying "Hey Shadow. You hate thses humans too don't you?" The cat mewed and she kissed his head. Then she saw the two boys from her childhood and the cat hissed and disappearded before they saw him. She huffed at them knowing they didn't reconize her since she had changed so much. Then she went into the house when they looked at her and slammed the door and went to her room listening to loud rock music.

 "Lighty~ We should go on a date.Thats what couples do.'' L said then clinged to Light's arm.A beautiful red ribbon linked them together.Many people thought it was cute."D-Dont say things like that.Its embarrassing." Light said."But you let me kiss you so you do love me." L whined then kissed Light then watched him blush red.When they got home,They watched tv in their bed,L resting on Light's chest.

The next day at school, Luna was sitting on the steps listening to her rock music. Her black clothes and Amethyst like eyes were peering at all the students. "Bunch of good for nothing humans and nekos. They have no idea what I've been through nor will tehy ever." SHe said her angry gaze peering down at her ipod. Then she put her hair up and went to class as the bell rang and sat down in L's seat not really caring where she sat. It was by the window so she could daydream and draw her usual pictures of shadow cats of all kinds. Then she saw L from the corner of her eye and looked out the window as if she didn't notice him. Her wings only visible to other demons. Though the smell from classroom smelled of their blood and stink. Her bracelt made of pure silver and gold was in her pocket. She then looked out at a bird and thought "Lunch." SHe looked as if she was in a trance which rarely happened to any kind of neko except those who were into killing things. Then she killed it just by flicking her finger and it landed in a bush. SHe then said in her head 'Much better. Stupid birds and mice have no other place than in a cat's stomach.' Then she reached into her back and pulled out her sketch book and started to draw another cat of somekind which looked rather dark with it's redish black fur. She had the scar showing from her infection as a kid and she had a scar on her eye that was covered by her makeup. That one was from a training accident in her defence classes taught by her adopted father after she had healed from the surgery on her leg.

 L was sitting in another seat.He had finally relaized he was.He had been daydreaming about Light ever since he left him that morning.He took off his sandles and hugged his knees together as always.He always sat that way and the teacher picked on him often though L always got it right.He finally noticed that his regular seat was taken by some girl but wasnt really surprised.He continued daydreaming about Light,staring off into space.He was soon interagated by the teacher.''Lawliet! Whats the answer to number one?'' the teacher yelled at him.Instantly L stopped daydreaming and noticed the question.''349.0000 but in the math we are currently learning the answer is unsolvable.Though I hate using that term.Every math problem is solvable unless its been written in the wrong format like number three is.If your trying to challenge me,give me a more advanced problem or something.'' L said.''Very well.'' the teacher wrote what seemed to be a very complicated problem on the board.It was a math problem used in rocket science.The whole class looked confused but L's emotion stayed the same-uninterested.''987,000.If you look at it,its not hard really.'' he said and the teacher had to check with a calculator.He faced the board, annoyed."Correct." the teacher said."Woah!" the class said in unison then talked amungst themselves.Some guys were jelous and others fell for him.
