.•彡Zombies彡•. Can we can we can we can we pleeeaaase?
I've been positively itching for a zombie roleplay, preferrably with a small group instead of a one-on-one, and I definitely need to get more active in this wonderful guild. SO. This is my idea to do just that!
Now, the setting I have in mind is near future, set in a decent-sized city. It's just one of the many places effected by the disease that's started to spread, infecting people and turning them insane.
The illness is just like every zombie pandemic. As they deteriorate they go after other, healthier people and infect them as well(like zombies do.) Saliva as well as blood spreads the sickness, things like that. I've even thought up a list of symptoms and how they develop and everything, which I'll post up later if anybody is interested.
This roleplay would take place as the breakout is happening; the characters wouldn't know anything about it. It'd be normal life one moment, your neighbor screaming at the top of her lungs as she's drug out the door the next.
I would want there to be drama, blood, horror and tragedy to make it as realistic as possible, so we would probably start out with three characters each since some will inevitably die c: Semi-literacy is what I'm looking for. Certainly nothing less than a paragraph and hopefully more if you can manage.
This isn't very well explained since it's right off the top of my head, and for that I apologize. Maybe once some of you get involved we can discuss a possible plot once all the initial panic has settled down, or something along those lines~! Also, I want at least two or three other people interested in this before I make the topic. (It'll be pretty and organised, unlike this. Pwomise.)

I've been meaning to make a zombie roleplay for a while. But there would be superpowers in it. :/ I dunno if that appeals to you. Not everyone would have superpowers, because that wouldn't be any fun, but there would three in particular that would have CRAZY powers, and they wouldn't know about it until certain events 'unlocked' them, so to speak.
The powers are ******** awesome. I'm totally going to eventually write a book about them as soon as I get the details ironed out, which a roleplay could totally assist with. Interested or do you wanna keep it simply human?

Ah man, yeah they sound cool! That sounds like a good idea, and I think I'd join something like that, but... It's just that I wanted the one that I've got (somewhat planned)in my little brain to be entirely realistic >.< Aside from the whole zombie thing >.>
Why would the ones in your book have powers? :3

I'd probably be in, assuming that I feel like I could make the time commitment fairly. Who doesn't love a roleplay where you can mix horrors with the everyday, torture your characters and/or kill them off, and beat the undead with a rock? ^^

Oh, would you? I'd be delighted biggrin I don't know how often I'll be expecting posts, but I'm on just about daily. Not too sure about the rest of ya but hopefully we can get something convenient going~!
I haven't been in a truly tragic roleplay ever so I'm going to hope this one does just fine xD who doesn't like beating the undead with rocks?

Fancy seeing you here, Luna~ I'm quite interested in the roleplay too. ^.^ Having superpowers would be a nice quirk, but it'll be just as fun without it.
It's this whole super-convoluted thing about the zombie apocolypse hitting in 2056, and the surviving scientists go back in time to see if they can manufacter human weapons to combat the nemisis before it arises. One of them involve psychic powers, another involves mutated DNA, and the other one has this whole convoluted way-too-complicated-back-story that I'm thinking about changing. Liquidating souls into plasma and tattooing them into someone and such.
But either way, I'm totally in. biggrin That multiple-character requirement should be in a lot of roleplays. >.<

And alright, I suppose I should get to work making the topic and everything then since it seems it's gotten quite a bit of attention~! Do you guys think it should go in the scifi subforum or the horror subforum question
whichever forum would be good... I mean even Frankenstein fits into both categories, so why not zombies?
And I am quite interested...

Depends on whether you're going with a realistic zombie RP or one with superpowers. If it's the former, it should probably go in the horror forum, if the latter, probably sci-fi. But no one's going to yell at you if you decide it fits in the other one, because zombies can be tough to categorize.

A majority are still going to be normal, stereotypical zombies: rotting and eating people. However... It depends on how long they've been infected; that'll be explained whenever I get the symptoms list up. Since the disease act differently according to how the person, you could have someone that looks almost human going cannibal/animalistic, or someone that resembles a zombie who could be nearly sane.
