 Clare "Iris...." ╔══════════════╗ ❀ Clare left the gummi ship. "You didn't have to drag me..." She rubbed her hand. She read the slip of paper on the gummi ship. They were going to fight some type of heartless. She had just arrived and now she had her first mission. "Wyverns and Tailbunkers?" She looked at him. "No problem. I wanted to make sure you were alright at the medical wing. I'm glad you're better now." She looked around Sunset Terrace. "I don't see anything." A Wyvern swooped down and grabbed Clare's arm. She screamed as it flew up into the air with her. ╚══════════════╝

 Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ When the Wyvern swooped out of nowhere and snatched Clare up, Rufio groaned and just stared after them. This is just plain sad. Raising a single hand into the air, the violet-haired man summoned a lightning bolt from the sky which struck the Wyvern hard, forcing it to release Clare. Seeing the rate at which she was currently plummeting to the ground, Rufio quickly dashed over to a nearby wall and kicked off of it, leaping into the air to grab Clare.
Once she was safely in his arms, he landed atop a building and sighed. "Be more careful okay?" Summoning his keyblade into his hands, Rufio turned to finish off the falling Wyvern, but found that two Tailbunkers had begun diving straight at them. Oh dammit! With another sigh, the young fighter quickly grabbed Clare around her waist and leaped off of the building with her, landing on the street below. "You try to handle the Wyverns okay? I'll deal with the Tailbunkers. Just, umm, y'know, don't get caught again okay? If you do, just holler." With a shrug, Rufio ran towards the two Tailbunkers that had attacked them and prepared to begin his assault. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Stone Golem Armor:Great increase to defense! Clare "Iris...." ╔══════════════╗ ❀ Clare struggled in the Wyvern's grip. She looked up at the Wyvern. 'This thing is like a dragon.' She swung forward as a Thunder spell hit the Wyvern. The heartless dropped her. She was falling fast. Rufio caught her and landed on the roof top of a building. "I'll...be careful." She looked away from Rufio and noticed the damaged Wyvern falling. She noticed the two Tailbunkers descending for an attack. "Rufio!...." He grabbed her and jumped off the room and landed on the street. She nodded at Rufio. "Alright." He ran off to fight the Tailbunkers.
That wounded Wyvern had to be close. She ran down the street and turned the corner. The Wyvern was on the ground. It was dazed. 'Perfect.' She thought. 'Now how do I bring my keyblade out again?' She looked at her empty hands. The Wyvern shook his head and slowly got back to its feet. 'Great! It's going to get away!' She couldn't let that happen. The Wyvern turned its head and looked at her. Clare ran at the Wyvern and rolled out of the way of its claw swipe. "Can't....." She sided stepped its bite. "let...you...get.." She jumped on its back and held onto the red spike on its back. Her legs clamped around its waist. "away...Jeez." She gasped for breath and the Wyvern took off into the air. "So like riding a dragon...Should be.....easy." She shrieked with laughter. The Wyvern spiraled up into the air and the other Wyvern heartless followed their friend. ╚══════════════╝ Quote: Wyverns remaining: 4 of 4 Tailbunkers remaining: 4 of 4

Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ As Rufio leaped into the air to attack one of the Tailbunkers, he noticed the wounded Wyvern from earlier go zipping back into the air with Clare on its back. The skilled fighter stopped in his tracks and stared on, a dumbfounded expression on his face as he watched her and the rest of the Wyverns zip around in the sky. What the hell does she think she's doing?! Poor Rufio didn't even notice that another Tailbunker had come up behind him and was currently executing a dive attack, aiming straight for Rufio. "Do you even have a keyblade?! This isn't a game! Summon it and...UGH!!!!!"
The Tailbunker had landed a rather fearsome blow on Rufio and proceeded to slam the poor, bewildered fighter into a nearby building, drilling him straight through it until the violet-haired young man crashed into a brick wall. When the attack had ended and the Tailbunker had retreated just in case Rufio managed to perform a counterattack, the keyblader collapsed to the ground and groaned in pain. "I...think I should have picked up some armor to protect my back too."
After struggling for a moment to breathe normally again, Rufio finally managed to stand and, when he turned, he saw all four Tailbunkers hovering over him. As his cross earring whipped back and forth from the gusts of wind they were creating from the flapping of their gigantic wings, Rufio grimaced. This just isn't fair. First I get stuck with a kid with the IQ of a gnat and then I get stuck with a girl who can't even summon her keyblade. Why me? I just don't get it...
With a sigh, Rufio thought back on what fights he could remember being in. I've fought Wyverns before, but I can't seem to recall fighting these things in the past. Have I ever fought them? Or is this the first time? Ugh! Shaking his head, Rufio leaped into the air as one of the Tailbunkers dove straight for him. Landing on its back, he jammed Zenith deep into its back and ran along its spine, cutting a clear path straight through it. Before he reached the tail, Rufio jumped into the air and performed a backflip. As soon as his feet his the wall, he pointed Zenith straight outward and lunged straight at the Heartless' head. In an instant he had pierced straight through the Tailbunker's head and was now crouched on the ground beneath it. When it faded into darkness, the usually silent Rufio grinned. "One down, three to go. Who wants to be next?" ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Stone Golem Armor:Great increase to defense! Invulnerable to piercing blows to the chest. Clare "Iris...." ╔══════════════╗ ❀ She was too high up to hear Rufio call out to her. Clare pulled on the spike on the Wyvern's back and the Wyvern stopped spiraling upwards. It turned its head to look at her as it floated in the air. It tried to shake her off, she was too far back to bite. Annoyed with this girl on its back, the Wyvern took off again. It flipped upside down and shook its body. Clare clung to it like a scared animal would with its claws. "You're not shaking me!" Her left arm hugged the spike close to her body. Her right hand reached out. The name of her keyblade called out to her again. She felt like calling out to it would be the right thing to do. "Iris!!!!!" In a flash of light her keyblade was in her hand. She smiled. "It worked!!! Okay. Now I know how to do this." She looked back. The Wyvern's friends were on its tail. Flying a dragon was easy to her, but flying a Wyvern heartless...difficult so far.
Clare squeezed the Wyvern's sides with her legs and pulled on the spike. The Wyvern righted itself. "Not upside down anymooooooooore!!!!!!!!!" The Wyvern dived straight down and spiraled. She pulled back on the spike more and the Wyvern pulled up just above the buildings. There was a large sonic boom in the air as she passed over. "What a rush!!!!!" She yelled.
"Okay. You're not going to work with me...I'll make you!" She pulled the spike to the right and the Wyvern turned right. She passed under the Wyvern's friends and one managed to scratch he back. "Ngh!" She winced. The scratch stung and she was bleeding. She gripped her keyblade tight in her hand. "Need to strike them." She focused. The Wyvern she was on spiraled again, trying to shake her. Clare pulled back and the heartless spiraled up in the air. It stopped the spiral and looped over its friends. Clare lashed out and struck one of the Wyverns in the group across its back. The Wyvern cried out and slowed its flying pace. Clare pulled left on the Wyvern's spike and cork screwed around the group and prepared for another attack. ╚══════════════╝ Quote: Wyverns remaining: 4 of 4 Tailbunkers remaining: 3 of 4

Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Rufio sighed as he listened to Clare's shouts of glee. He had learned from his previous mistake and chose not to even glance in her direction, as he was currently facing off against the remaining three Tailbunkers. However, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed her flying a Wyvern around. Groaning, Rufio smacked himself in the face. "Why do I have to end up with the idiots?"
With another sigh, he dashed underneath the Tailbunkers and rushed off down the street. He needed to get to a more open area, but it seemed that the enemy wouldn't let him. One of the Tailbunkers hit the ground hard in front of him and knocked poor Rufio off his feet. Laying on his back, his eyes widened when he saw six large fireballs zooming straight for him. The skilled keyblader quickly flipped himself back onto his feet and dashed straight for the Tailbunker in front of him. Instead of attacking this foe, he zipped off into an alleyway between two buildings and began kicking off of the walls, going higher and higher until he was standing on the roof of one of the buildings.
Looking down below him, he noticed that four of the fireballs were still chasing him. Glancing around, he quickly noticed the two Tailbunkers that had used this attack on him. Let's see how you like this attack you jerks! Leaping off of the rooftop, he flipped through the air a moment before diving straight at the nearest Tailbunker. As he dove, he held out Zenith straight in front of him and began a corkscrew type attack, spinning around and around until he pierced straight through the enemy's skull and landed beneath it. Soon after, all four of the dark fireballs pummeled the creature, turning it back into darkness.
That's two down. Now for the last two. Turning to look over his shoulder, Rufio grinned at the other two Tailbunkers. There was one on both sides of him now, and they honestly looked pissed at him. The violet-haired individual was trying his best not to get hit again. He couldn't risk taking another devastating blow. I made a promise to you Sano, and I intend to keep it. I'm going to come back in much better condition this time. I'll...I'll...
Suddenly, Zenith disappeared from his hands and Rufio clutched at his head. The twenty-four year-old man began to scream as if he was in tremendous, horrible pain. Not again...not now... Rufio fell on his knees and began shaking his head furiously left and right. More images began flashing through his mind. He had fought these before, and images of him casting a Blizzard spell washed over him, bringing more and more questions to his mind. But more than that, he recalled another image: a king.
Rufio was kneeling before the king of some world, most likely that same one he had remembered seeing Virule on in a previous memory. This king was ordering the young man to venture out into the wilderness surrounding his kingdom to hunt for three gigantic Heartless that roamed the area. In this memory, he recalled that he was already exhausted from battling wave after wave of Heartless that had managed to enter the city. Inside, Rufio felt like all of this work could be the end of him, but at the same time he just knew that he had to continue fighting to protect the innocent people in the city.
Then suddenly, nothing. Opening his eyes again, Rufio winced in pain as three large fireballs struck him, knocking him to the ground and damaging him worse and worse. When the attack finally ended, Rufio lay on his back, staring up at the sky. In a moment, he was back on his feet, staring blankly at the Tailbunker that had attacked him. Raising his hand, he mumbled "Blizzard." and shot seven icicle shards straight at the two Tailbunkers. Rufio's eyes remained empty as more memories of past battles began to flash through his mind. At present, he was caught between the present and the past, and there was no telling what would happen when he finally came to again. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Stone Golem Armor:Great increase to defense! Clare "Iris...." ╔══════════════╗ ❀ Four Wyverns still remained, one was still angry that a person was on its back still. As Clare circled above the two Wyverns that still had no damage, she slashed her keyblade again and hit one of the Wyverns deep in its side. It burst into darkness and faded. Three more Wyverns remain. The other Wyvern turned its head when its friend faded into nothing. It lashed out at Clare and bit her in the arm. Clare screamed and hit in the eye with her keyblade. The Wyvern let go, and her arm was now bleeding. She winced and clung to the Wyvern she was riding on.
She needed to be more careful. She heard a scream and turned her head and looked over her shoulder. Rufio was in trouble. Two Tailbunkers, one on one side and the other on the opposite side, were watching him. "Rufio!" She pulled back on the spike and the Wyvern looped up into the air then flipped over the two other Wyverns. Three fire balls hit Rufio. "Don't stand there! Move!" She yelled out to him. Rufio fell to the ground then stood back up. He cast a Blizzard spell at the two Tailbunkers. "Rufio!"
Clare braced herself. She was going to try and take one of the Tailbunkers out and grab Rufio. The Wyvern dived towards on of the Tailbunkers and she pulled back on the spike on the Wyvern's back. The Wyvern reached out its clawed talons. The Wyvern landed hard on the Tailbunker's back and Clare stabbed the Tailbunker in the back. It burst into darkness and faded. The Blizzard spell ice shards nicked her skin. The cold razor ice burned when it sliced. Clare pulled hard on the Wyvern's spike. She needed to move it towards Rufio and out of the spell. The Wyvern bolted towards Rufio and Clare reached down and grabbed Rufio and pulled him up on the Wyvern's back. She sat him between the spike and herself so he wouldn't fall off if the Wyvern decided to spiral again.
Clare looked at Rufio's eyes. He was in a dream like daze. 'He must get like this when he's remembering something. He was like this in the hospital.' She thought. "Rufio! Rufio!" She felt the Wyvern wanting to go into a spiral again. She fought with it to keep it from spiraling. There was no telling how long he would be like this. She looked back at the two other Wyverns. The last Tailbunker joined their ranks. She was fighting hard with the Wyvern she was on. "Rufio! Wake up!" ╚══════════════╝ Quote: Wyverns remaining: 3 of 4 Tailbunkers remaining: 1 of 4

Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ A young, pink-haired woman was pleading with Rufio not to fight anymore. Apparently he was too exhausted and had been fighting for about a week without getting much rest. Unsure as to who this woman was, Rufio shrugged his shoulders and insisted he was fine before leaving the city. Out in the wilderness area, the violet-haired man seemed pulled towards the mountainous area nearby. Once there, almost as if on cue, three giant Heartless...
"Heartless mountains? Huh?" The skillful fighter looked up at the three enormous Heartless and groaned. I guess this is why that girl pleaded with me not to go. Ah well, nothing to do now but fight. At this point, Rufio began what appeared to be a rather futile fight with the mountainous Heartless. After some time, he managed to win, but his right arm was broken in the process.
Suddenly a flash, and he was back in the city, that same pink-haired woman tending to him. Rufio felt comfortable laying in this bed. Looking around, he noticed that he was in the castle again. "Why am I here? Just who am I?" When the girl simply continued what she was doing, almost as if she hadn't heard his question, Rufio sighed. Of course, he was trapped in his own memories.
Outside of his mind, Rufio's body appeared to be working on instinct. Without warning, he suddenly stood up on the back of the Wyvern and fell off backwards, spiraling through the air. When a Wyvern attacked, Rufio latched his left arm around the beast's neck and swung himself around until he was sitting on its back. At this point, he whacked it on the head a couple of times and forced it to turn. After a moment, he had taken down the third of the Wyverns and was now flying straight for the last remaining Tailbunker.
Now where am I? Stained glass pillars? Somebody I can't see is talking to me. I've been here before...is this how I got Zenith? Rufio had shifted to another memory once again. This time he was remembering his Dive to the Heart, and he was listening silently as the voice spoke to him. Without really understanding what was going on, Rufio felt himself moving without being able to control himself. Shouldn't be surprised, this is a memory after all. With a shrug, he picked up the sword and chose to give up the shield. He needed to be able to help everyone out, and he figured the sword was a great choice to protect his family and the innocent people of his kingdom. Giving up the shield wasn't the easiest decision, but it was something he had to do. Rufio had always been curious about magic, so he definitely didn't want to give up the staff. "I kind of wish I could have chosen to take all three. But rules are rules I suppose."
It was at this point that a rather curious creature emerged from the glass and attacked. Rufio was shocked that he had to fight something so huge, but at the same time he felt thrilled. When Rufio rushed to attack the creature, he had to close his eyes as he experienced the same bright flash and was shifted into another memory. More battles. Wait...
Rufio suddenly began blinking his eyes and he looked around at Sunset Terrace. "That...what just happened?" He clutched his head with his left hand, finding that his right was currently busy tearing into the last Tailbunker with his keyblade. When it suddenly faded and the violet-haired man began to fall to the ground below, Rufio's eyes widened again and he began to scream. "Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap!!!!!!!" My memories are going to be the death of me someday, I just know it! ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Stone Golem Armor:Great increase to defense! Invulnerable to piercing blows to the chest. Clare "Iris...." ╔══════════════╗ ❀ Clare fought with the Wyvern she was on. Suddenly Rufio stood up and fell off the Wyvern's back. "Rufio!!!!!!" She yelled. 'This is crazy!!!! He's not waking up!!!!' She pulled right on the Wyvern's spike and the Wyvern turned sharply. The Wyvern dived past its other Wyvern friends. Rufio hung from one then climbed up to his back. He was beating it with his keyblade. "Rufio!!!! Wake up!!!!" He could not here her. The Wyvern he was on flew towards the last Tailbunker.
The Wyvern turned to darkness then Rufio dropped onto the Tailbunker. "Damn it Rufio!!!!! Snap to before you get yourself killed!!!!!" Clare pulled on the Wyvern spike and flew up next to the Tailbunker. Clare looked at Rufio's eyes. He was still locked in his memory. "Rufio!!!!!" He was hitting the Tailbunker with his keyblade. He shook his head and snapped out of the memory. "You've gone crazy! That's what just happened!" She snapped a reply at Rufio. "Get over here before you......" The Tailbunker faded to darkness and Rufio fell fast. "Damn it!"
Clare pushed forward on the Wyvern's spike and it dived straight down. The Wyvern raced with gravity and became parallel to Rufio in the air. "COME ON!!!!!" She yelled at the Wyvern, her faced had an expression mixed with panic and courage. She needed the Wyvern to pull ahead of Rufio. The Wyvern raced in its descent, racing straight towards the ground. Clare held on tight as the Wyvern finally pulled forward from Rufio. Clare pulled back and the Wyvern pulled up in a sloping curve. She reached up and grabbed Rufio's arm and pulled him in close behind her. "Hold on and don't let go!" With Rufio safe on the back of the Wyvern, she pulled back on the spike and the Wyvern ascended into the sky again. Two Wyverns remained...the one they were on and one that followed behind them.
Clare looked over her shoulder and held her keyblade tight in her hand. She winced from her wounds, but she would fight the pain and get through it. The other Wyvern was gaining speed and coming in close. "Hold on!" The Wyvern they were on spiraled up into the air. They looped over the other Wyvern and came up behind it. The Wyvern leveled out. Clare held out her keyblade ready to strike. The Wyvern raced past its friend and Clare lashed out at it. Her keyblade struck the Wyvern in the back. The Wyvern cried out and burst into darkness.
One more left. She needed to land and take it out. She pushed forward on the spike and the Wyvern descended. It was a rough landing on the street. The Wyvern crashed into the street, not used to being on the ground a lot. The two people on its back were sent tumbling. Clare winced and slowly stood up. The Wyvern shook its body and looked at Clare. "It was a fun ride while it lasted." The Wyvern roared and charged her. She struck it with her keyblade in the chest, stabbing in. The heartless roared out and bit down on her shoulder before disappearing into darkness. Clare screamed out in pain. She dropped to her knees and gripped her shoulder. It hurt a lot, but she expected it to lash out at her before it died.
There was a green orb of light at the tip of her keyblade. Her wounds healed and she was no longer in pain. "Huh....." She looked at her shoulder and arms. "Healing? I can do that?" She looked over at Rufio. He was wounded too. She quickly got up and stumbled over to him. "Rufio! You okay?!?" A word flashed in her mind. She spoke it with out thinking twice about it. "C-cure..." There was another flash of green light at the tip of her keyblade and the light engulfed Rufio and healed his wounds. Her keyblade faded into orbs of light. "Rufio? Are you alright now?" She looked at him. ╚══════════════╝ Quote: Wyverns remaining: 0 of 4

Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Rufio stared at Clare blankly for a moment and sighed, lowering his head. "Yeah. I'm all right. I just experienced wave after wave of memories...nothing to help me really figure out who I am. It was mostly battles, some pink-haired woman...my Dive to the Heart I think, and me talking with a king. I think I'm from that world. I just don't know what that world is called or where it even is. I've apparently been fighting Heartless...and other creatures, for a very long time."
Shrugging, he turned to start walking away so they could return home and report back to Sano, but a rather furious-looking woman blocked their progress. Glancing back at Clare, he quickly realized that she was probably from the Guild. Raising his keyblade, Rufio stepped in front of Clare and narrowed his eyes. "I'm not sure who you are, but if you're pissed because we killed those Heartless, we're sorry. They were terrorizing the people here, they had to be stopped."
Lorelei stared hatefully at the Protega duo. Tears were streaming down her cheeks at having seen the last two Wyverns slaughtered by the girl. When Rufio spoke to her, Lorelei turned her gaze on him and shook her head. "You killed my babies! My friends! Those were some of the first that Master Shadow Man gave to me! How could you?! My babies were innocent!" Gripping her staff tight, Lorelei held out her left hand and fired Blizzard spell after Blizzard spell at Rufio. She was so upset that she didn't care if she was going to get in trouble later, she just wanted to hurt those responsible for taking her friends away from her.
Rufio's first instinct was to dodge the spells being hurled at him, but he remembered that he was trying to keep Clare safe, so he stood in between Lorelei and Clare and did his best to deflect the Blizzard spells back at the ground. This woman was just upset that her dear friends had been taken away from her, so Rufio couldn't bring himself to attack her. When a Blizzard spell struck his sword arm, Rufio winced and clutched at his arm, receiving blow after blow after blow from the spells being hurled his way. When they finally stopped pelting him, Rufio stared at Lorelei and watched as she vanished through a Dark Corridor. Afterwards, he shook his head and sighed.
"Figures. I'm never going to come back from a mission in one piece at this rate am I?" Chuckling softly, he turned and nodded at Clare. "Come on, we need to get back." Rufio's body was battered, bruised, and he had many gashes that were causing him to bleed out pretty badly. He began limping towards the Gummi Ship, and once he got inside and sat in his seat, he closed his eyes and grimaced from the pain. Girl, I hope you know how to fly one of these. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Stone Golem Armor:Great increase to defense! Invulnerable to piercing blows to the chest. Clare "Iris...." ╔══════════════╗ ❀ Clare listened to him and followed him when he walked. Before she could reply to Rufio, a woman was glaring at them. Rufio jumped in front of her. The woman was upset and crying. The woman cast Blizzard spell after Blizzard spell at Rufio. Clare could not take it. "Stop it!!! You're the one harming the people that live here lady!" She saw Rufio pull back some when he was hit. She looked past Rufio's shoulder and saw the lady leave. He was wounded again. She frowned. He protected her and got hurt. "Thank you Rufio." She smiled at him.
When they arrived at the Gummi ship she saw Rufio sit down in one of the chairs. He was bleeding more. "Iris!!!!" She called out her keyblade again and walked over to Rufio. "Cure!" She pointed her keyblade at Rufio and healed him again. "Can't have you bleeding everywhere." She smiled at him. "You should take a break when we get back. I think you really need one." She walked over and looked at the ship console. "Hmmm. Shouldn't be too hard to fly." She turned her head to look at Rufio. "You'll find out who you are. You'll get your memories back." She nodded. "I have an extra leather bound journal if you want to record your thoughts. It may help you to piece your memories together." She smiled. "I'll try to help the best I can, though I just met you moments ago back in the medical wing." She nodded and turned back to look at the ship console.
