Winhill GardenThe lobby of Winhill Garden is by far one of the largest lobbies of any of the Garden's because the lobby actually makes up the entire inside of the Garden with buildings inside. There are walkways to each of the building as well as a small lobby area for each walkway. At each lobby area, the lobby looks out into the central reflecting pool that leads to the elevator that goes to the second and third floors. The top of this area is made of glass so that light may constantly shine into the reflecting pool giving the entire area a blue hue. The walkways to the elevator are above the water level by ten yards allowing for the reflection to be spectacular. During nights, the reflecting pool reflects the stars in the sky as well.
Each of the outlying buildings is large and tall. The areas outside of the walkways are all grassy and slightly rolling hills. There are a few trees scattered about here providing some shade for people who like to laze in the grassy fields. The auditorium has a roof that can be drawn back with the walls descending down to open it out into the open air. All the walkways are a sound ten yards above the grass below with stairways leading down allowing for people to actually walk under the walkways and hang out there.
The second floor of the Garden is filled with classrooms that extend in a halo around the center, leaving it open for light to reach down into the reflection pool. There is also a third floor that extends back from the center and holds official meetings rooms and also a ballroom. The headmasters office is located here.Click for Winhill Garden's Layout

The sun was shining brightly overhead in the mid day, the wind blowing gently through the air going along it's way as it always did. With the open plains around Winhill, it was easy for the wind to blow through and sway the grass that grew tall where it was left alone. Amid this swaying grass, Winhill Garden rested firmly on it's foundation. The walls that rose about the walls kept the fields inside them safe from monsters and the like, those whom attended the Garden having a great deal of safety even in relaxing in the fields inside the walls. The wind swayed the grass gently, giving the scene a rather calm feeling. Compared to the mission from three days ago, this was indeed very calm. Amid the blowing grass, something could be seen darting playfully about. Due to the very color of the creature that darted about, it was almost impossible to tell what it was. It certainly seemed to be enjoying itself though, moving quickly through the grass in a zigzagging pattern. Amid the serene surroundings, the little creature likely wouldn't even have been noticeable.
The grass inside of the Garden was maintained well, though the farther out one got, the more tall the grass was. that being said, the grass was not very tall, it just happened that they creature moving was small, though bigger than a small dog. A figure lay in the sun, basking in it, in fact, even as the creature approached, it slowing to a stop next to him, it's appearance becoming more clear. Carbuncle slowed to a walk, going next to the man laying in the grass with his eyes closed before curling up next to him as if this were nothing new, that this is what they did on a regular basis. As for the man, his yellow eyes opened and glanced over at it was a smile before reaching over with his left hand to scratch it's ears, his right arm still in the sling it had been in since he and Lisanna had been pulled from the water after the destruction of the bridge. He remembered the moment vividly, but it wasn't something he chose to dwell on. He remembered the final moment of seeing his sister staring in shock as the darkness prepared to overwhelm her, Kalay being forced to jump from the bridge with Lisanna in his arms. He hadn't even though as he jumped, knowing he couldn't save Ellale. That fox though...
Kalay glanced down at his arm. They said he'd torn it out of socket from the explosion, which was one reason it was in a sling. He had been easy on the arm since that moment. In Kalay's opinion, hitting the water so fast it had been like glass had been what had torn his shoulder out of socket, but he hadn't had the energy to argue about it. He also knew, now anyways, that Ellale was alive. He couldn't say well because she'd been unconscious for the past three days. Her life signs had been growing stronger though, and the doctor had said she would likely wake soon. He hoped that was the case. He hadn't seen much of Lisanna since they had fallen from the bridge. She was fine, as he knew, but that didn't mean he hadn't worried for her at the time. She was a close friend. "Just a close friend?" Kalay glanced down at Carbuncle as he heard the soft voice in his head. With a faint breath, Kalay laid his head back and closed his eyes, relaxing, choosing wisely to not answer Carbuncle's jab.
He had spent most of his time out here recovering, usually alone. It wasn't often that anyone came to find him. With Ellale unconscious, the only person with a reason to find him was Lisanna, and Kalay knew she probably had students to worry about and take care of. Kalay himself was tired. He was always tired as of recently. It was probably from the trauma of the end of the mission, but he was alive and well, and he greatly enjoyed his time out in the fields around Winhill Garden with Carbuncle. The rabbit GF certainly seemed to enjoy it as well. The wind blew past the pair gently, carrying on as if nothing had happened, nor nothing was going to. In all, it was peaceful. Kalay almost wished life could be as simple as laying in a field of grass with the wind blowing around gently, but that was like ignoring the things right in front of him. For all he was lazy, he did have his moments. "Not to mention that they figure out their exam results today. I wonder when that starts... probably in a bit..." Gentle the instructors voice faded off as he relaxed on the ground. Had he fallen asleep? Perhaps... ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤ Magic Stock: Haste 2 Cure 2 Aura 1

Riyel "The Quiet One" Vicaria Now I think I understand How this world can overcome a man Like a friend we saw it through In the end I gave my life for you Gave you all I had to give Found a place for me to rest my head While I may be hard to find Heard there's peace just on the other side
Not that I could or that I would Let it burn under my skin, let it burn Junction: Ifrit Level: 6 Health: 560/560 Location: Winhill Magic: Fire(3) & Ice(2) §▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ {{Ooc:// }} {Current Theme Song: Dear God- Avenged Sevenfold}
Pain had been what Riyel felt over the duration of the explosion. Pain and darkness were his dwelling. Perhaps it had been a foolish mistake on his part. As soon as Bahamut was summoned, all Riyel could do was stand and watch what the beast dealt towards the enemies below...but when the sudden explosion erupted, Riyel barely had time to jump off the bridge before half of his body was engulfed in the chaos, himself falling and passing out below. Who had dragged him out was a mystery within itself but at least he had been saved and taken back to the Winhill Infirmary, which was where he was now. Luckily though, he was getting out of the infirmary today and would be able to catch up with what was occurring around the Garden and with his fellow teammates. But first....
"Needles....are made by the Devil himself." Riyel muttered darkly, as the nurse jabbed his arm with antibiotics. The p***k itself, the nurse included, hurt and he just could not bare to watch it. But it was over and done with as his eyes managed to look down at the rest of his body. The destruction had encased half of his body in its grasp. Thus, part of his body-his legs-was covered in bandages. Luckily, with a bunch of healing and a ton of rest, he had healed fully it seemed as the nurse returned with scissors and slowly began to snip away at the wrappings, the pieces slowly falling away to reveal the newly repaired skin. An eased sigh left Riyel's lungs as finally he could see his legs, his limbs finally capable of being used fully again.
Of course, the nurse made him run through multiple check ups but in the end, he was given his Gunblade and clothing, or rather what was left of it. A small sigh left the boy as he looked at the burnt cloth...that was wonderful. Fricking great. Muttering to himself, he grabbed his one spare change of clothing and placed it on before looking around the infirmary. Well....he was better off than most. Many had lost limbs, entered comas...or died. Riyel shuddered at the thought of that...passage and brushed it aside. He was one of the lucky ones though. But everything could only get better from there and there was absolutely nothing to truly be worried about right now. Winhill was safe. There was no other place to be right now. With a sigh, Riyel grabbed his Gunblade and took his leave, walking out of the infirmary slowly only to sit on a bench located outside.
Really, this was what he wanted to do right now. Sit down...and think. That attack had dealt massive damage towards well.....everything. He had no idea though what had happened to the others, Nona, Lloyd, Sophia, and the others. There was just too much chaos to truly perceive anything that had been occurring. Too much. A grunt was all that came from Riyel as he thought of what had happened. Stupid....stupid, stupid, stupid. Why hadn't he ran away as soon as the bomb was set? Instead, he had to watch Bahamut go to town with the enemies and look what had happened to him?! Almost killed because he was awestruck. Riyel's face turned dour at the thought. Five minutes free of the infirmary and he was already hating on himself...well done on his part.
But that wasn't the only thing...Ifrit had said a single word towards Riyel. The only explanation that the boy could come up with was that the fire demon was frustrated and angry with him for some odd reason. Riyel didn't even want to dwell on what it was. The sun however, was shining out of a window, hitting where Riyel was on the bench. So warm...he yawned and lay against the wall behind him...snoozing once more.
▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§ I hope it's worth it Here on the highway, yeah I know you'll find your own way When I'm not with you

"He is her only child, and she being an only child herself who is to take over?" "It will have to be a cousin, I will see that the necessary arrangements are made." "But the boy?" "He cannot stay here. All proof of her existence is to be wiped clean if the Family is to exist as it has all these generations." "I will have my people see to it." "And I will see to the boy... "Then it is settled. From this day forth, Ariadne Ignatius no longer exists! And neither does her son, Eamonn."
Nnn... Eamonn groaned, turning over and burying his face into his pillow as the wind blew his sanguine curtains open just enough to allow for the morning sun rays to pierce his darkened room, the rays touching his face, causing the red-haired male to stir from his dreams. It was too late, however, to return to sleep. Having slept as much as he had the last several days, his body had received more than enough sleep; and was demanding exercise, even if it was just to sit up. Burn me to my bones, I still flaming ache. Eamonn thought, pushing himself up, the covers sliding down to reveal a bareback as he sat up. He grimaced as he moved, his every muscle and fiber aching still, the bandages he had wrapped around his midsection and right arm feeling loose on him, to the point he unconsciously reached down to tug on them, pulling them tighter around his body. As if blowing myself up wasn't enough, the bastards still had to go and blow us all up to kingdom flaming come. Even without the destruction of the bridge Eamonn had expected to wake up sore and hungry, but after what had happened in Doling three days ago he had been all but able to move while doctors and nurses checked in on him, before finally releasing him the night before after much arguing and persistence on his own part. I'm alive though. And that is more than what I can say about the rest of us... He was thinking of Macaria, in particular. Of the teams that were on that bridge, escaping the city, she was one of the many who perished in the attack. Just got unlucky, I guess. Eamonn thought, grasping the covers and pulling them off, sliding out of the bed with achy movements, groaning as he stood straight. This is going to be a long day...
Drawing the straps of his boots tight, Eamonn tied them off in an intricate knot that would hold throughout the day, and stood. Having cleaned himself up and dressed, Eamonn was in the mood to work up a sweat, as well as an appetite, before hitting the cafeteria and feeding himself. Memories still flashed in the back of his mind, the distant call of a young boy crying for his mother grating on Eamonn's nerves so much he ground his teeth until his jaws ached. Quit whining... Eamonn grumbled to thin air, standing abruptly from the couch, slamming his feet down to create any kind of noise in the dead silent form, then striding to the door. He paused for only a moment, lifting up the red jacket from it's place on the coat rack and sliding it on, buttoning it up deftly before unlocking and pulling open the door; stepping out of his dorm and slamming the door shut behind him. Damn he was aching.
Not enough, it seemed, for as soon as he hit the Recreation Center he was on the floor, grabbing a random person and sparring with him. It was only a training spar, and yet Eamonn did not let up on his partner, floating in an endless void as he pushed those memories, those feelings into the flame of his mind. "Maybe we'd better take a break..." His partner suggested uneasily, declining another round and going to the side of the sparring room where a bench was built into the wall. Tch. Eamonn clicked his tongue, not even bothering to seek out another partner. Where's Maia when you need her? He growled inwardly, flipping a towel over his shoulder before hitting the showers once more. And yet, as he left the recreational center his body still demanded for movement. It demanded to work, and the thought of just sitting down was far from appealing to him after three days spent in bed. Damn it all... He thought, kicking at a rock that had somehow wound up outside the Rec. Why do I have to feel so useless standing here? He didn't need anyone to give him an answer for that question. It was because despite these years of training and hard work, just when he thought he was strong someone like Caize Ovelen, and that strange white-haired b*****d who made it rain sunshine and daisies when he appeared had to come along and remind him just how insignificant his strength was compared to theirs. Power... He thought, closing his eyes and clenching his fists. If he had more power, he wouldn't feel like this. If he had had more power, he would never have been cast aside like a ragged doll. Maybe if he had had power...
"Eamonn." That snapped Eamonn's eyes open, and a quick glance around him to see if he was alone or not strangely relieved the red-haired man, when he saw he was. Just hungry, that's all... He told himself, adjusting the collar of his jacket as he pushed himself to move, deciding that he might as well get some food down him before evening rolled around and setting off for the cafeteria.

Even if I can't win against anyone, I won't lose to myself. But for sure, my losses will make me grow stronger! Junctions: Leviathan Level: 6 Health: 500/500 Mood: Excited Location: Winhill Garden Magic: Water (3), Blizzard (2)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Song of the moment: Aftermath
"SOPHIA!" That was the only thing Lloyd could vividly recall. Everything before and after was a rushed blur. But Sophia’s face...that look of terror...it was still clear in his mind. He could vaguely recall his comrades running, then a GF summoning decimating enemy forces. However, a void that claimed so many and seemed inescapable expanded. Those memories were a messy mixture of terror and screams. He felt of her clinging to him as Lloyd refused to let her fall into the infinite blackness. Then came the explosion. The only thing he could remember was safeguarding Sophia and watching the sky slip away before feeling the bite of impacting with the water. After that Lloyd woke up undergoing medical care for his wounds. Miraculously his bones were all intact but many were bruised from the strain they endured. Now three days later here he was, asleep in the underneath a special project he was working on in the smithy and armory workshop. Eariler in the day he visited the infirmary to greet the still unconscious Ellale. It pained his heart to see her asleep from what she endured but he was glad she was at least alive. Next to her bed he left a basketful of forget-me-not flowers by her bedside. Within the basket was a little teddy bear huddling the message "Wake up soon Pretty Kitty" with a crudely drawn picture of Lloyd's face and a thumbs up. Afterward he traveled to his workshop and began to work on a certain project he started awhile back. Eventually however Lloyd nodded off while in the middle of work. A white curtain was over top of it and Lloyd could be heard snoring underneath his welder's mask. "Oye Nipal!" one of the students called loudly. Lloyd jerked up right and hit his head with a ting. Lloyd lifted his mask mumbling curses before answering "Yeah what is it?" he called back. "It's about mid-day you should get goin! Don't forget the ball is tonight" they added. Lloyd slid out from underneath the curtain and got up. He hung up the mask, workers apron, gloves, and numerous tools. After cleaning himself up a bit Lloyd finally left the building and exited out in the vast lobby of Winhill garden. With a deep breath the blond walked along the path heading toward the library. A slight breeze blew his hair, which he now wore down since returning from the examination. Lloyd wanted to distance himself from that day as much as he could. It was then he had gotten a taste of true battle..and it was nothing to mess around with. Healing up had given him a lot to think about. It also made him appreciate peaceful moments like these. Just to be able to breath and enjoy life was such a precious gift...and after losing a few comrades that day, Lloyd vowed never to forget it. It’s funny how much an individual could mature from living through an ordeal like that. Lloyd absent mindedly walked toward the library while lost in his thoughts.’’’ Today was certainly a nice day, plenty of sunshine and there was a good atmosphere around the garden today. Finally though Lloyd entered their library and it was full of rows upon rows of book. This was a good place to study or just relax somewhere quiet. There was another reason Lloyd had come here today however. He scanned around and eventually saw a certain lavender haired young woman wrapped in her studies like usual. With a mischievous smile the blond slowly snuck up behind her chair ever so slowly. "RAAAH!" he shouted in an attempt to shock her.

She was sitting at a desk with four books open in front of her and a notebook that she was writing in. It was clear she had already written a lot in the notebook and was still adding more. She lifted her eyes from the page and look up and into one of the open books. Her body seemed to tense when she saw the word Explosion in the book. She chewed on her bottom lip and fiddled with her pen as she remembered what happened only three days ago.
Sophia never expected her exam would be so horrific. The whole thing started with an explosion and seemed to end with one. She seemed to run out of heals quickly and she really thought it was the end. Lloyd had come to her rescue though, thankfully she had at least one more heal for him before they got back to rest and recover. Sophia took a day or two to get out of the shock she was in from the trauma of it all. It almost made her scared to go back out there. She became ashamed of her actions though. She barley did anything due to fear.
Gripping her pen and teeth she decided she should just go back to studying and forget about the Exam for now. She went back to reading her book then went to write things down. Suddenly someone screamed in her ear. Letting out a loud and girly Squeak, Sophia jumped and ended up dropping her pen and hitting the table. She quickly whipped her head around to see Llyod standing there. Ever since the Exam she had been a little jumpy... People around the area seemed to giggle but the librarian didn't look to impressed. "L-Llyod!!!" She exclaimed and quickly grabbed her pen, only to look up to the librarian. "I'm afraid I am going to have to ask you too leave" "B-but I..." The librarian only shook her head and walked away.
Sighing, Sophia was now walking through the halls of the garden with Lloyd, carrying 2 books with her and her notebook. "I swear you have way too much energy" She said with a bit of annoyance to her voice. She glanced over at him then quickly turned to looking straight ahead when she felt her cheeks get warm. He was so much more attractive with his hair down but she couldn't seem to find the words to tell him that. Suddenly Sophia started to get a little worried she had hurt his feelings or made him feel bad for getting angry. She stopped and put her hands behind her back, starting to fiddle with her fingers. "Thank you for getting me out of the library though... I guess I have been in there since the exam..." She said softly and looked down at the ground. She wasn't too good with her social Skills.

To his left, the wall was designed with a simple yet eye-drawing wallpaper, on which numerous framed photos were hung, as well as degrees and diplomas the headmaster had earned during his life. To the right, the wall was nothing more than one vast bookcase, books squeezed into the shelves to it would have taken all of ones strength to pull even a small book out of the shelves, something Sou-Ho knew from experience as a child. Behind him there really wasn't much worth looking at. There were a pair of cushioned chairs, as well as a matching sofa against the wall that held the door, which opened up into a hallway that led to the elevator that made for the only access in and out of the headmaster's office. Before him, however, was the real reason Sou-Ho was standing here. Before him, seated at the large desk that both as a child, and even now, always seemed gigantic, in a high back chair that made the headmaster look as tall as he was, was Kelsier O'nais Nebulous. Sitting forward, elbows on the desk and fingers intertwined so he could rest his chin on his interlocked thumbs, the elder man's eyes were closed, and expression almost calm if not for the way his brows furrowed as he listened as Sou-Ho gave the collective reports of all of the instructors and operatives who had been present at Aurel. Well, those he had found had any information worth reporting, as well as his own report.
"I must admit, Sou-Ho, that this report is quite troubling..." The Headmaster said, causing a c***k in Sou-Ho's still expression. "It is troubling to know that they were able to intercept the teams so early into the mission. It leaves me to believe things I would prefer not believable. That there may be one leaking information out of our garden to outside sources that would endanger the lives of children..." The headmaster stood, turning away from his desk and walking to the wall-wide window which admitted most of the light into the office with a troubled look on his face, though his voice was as calm as ever. The headmaster crossed his hand behind his back, staring past the glass at the garden below, so himself saying, "Troubling, indeed." Sou-Ho was silent as the headmaster spoke, staring without sign of emotion at the back of the man he had once called grandfather. "It would seem that Galbadia is growing to be quite the entity, these days. In the past we were all so concerned with Esthar and the Sorceress Adel, that we never truly worried about what those around us were doing. Even now, we are all stepping on eggshells when it comes to sorcesses. It would seem we have not been paying due attention to our neighbors as, perhaps, we should have."
All was silent in the office for several minutes, neither instructor nor headmaster moving. Finally, however, the stillness was broken, the headmaster turning around and strolling around to the front of the desk so he stood before Sou-Ho, the headmaster towering over even his grandson. "Nevertheless, a new mission has come in from Balamb Garden, requesting our assistance in a serious, and rather pressing matter. Saying this, he turned to take up a manila envelop from off of his desk, holding it delicately in his hands as he turned back to face Sou-Ho, handing it to him as it spoke. Unfortunately we are rather lacking in operatives. We were never, truthfully, a large Garden to begin with, and with recent activities we have operatives spread out all over... The headmaster sighed, giving a look of disappointment as if it were a shame. That being the case, I would like it if you were to select a team of people from those who will be graduating this afternoon, as well as put together a secondary team which I would like you to head for a private assignment. The details are all present in this envelop, you shall see. Sou-Ho took the envelop, tucking it beneath his arm and remaining statue straight before his grandfather, who smiled and turned back to reseat himself. I shall see the team is put together by the end of the week. They will need as much time to recover after their exam, and then they will be able to perform at top capac- "You have until tomorrow morning to have a team put together and ready to depart."
Sou-Ho's mouth dropped as he was cut off, staring incredulously at his grandfather at what he had just heard. You can't be serious! Sou-Ho exclaimed, taken off-guard by his words. They will need at least two days before they are ready to set out! These cadets have just went through an exam that would outrank even the most serious of missions that an operative would be sent on, and have all nearly paid for it with their lives! Some of whom did! Sou-Ho said, balling his hands into fists so his knuckles went snow white. Some of them have only just left the infirmary, and yet you intend on sending them out onto their first mission not even twenty-four hours after they have graduated? You ask for more of them then what you should!
The headmaster was silent for several moments, matching mulberry eyes that stared heatedly at him staring back at his grandson in a cool manner. As I have said, Sou-Ho; we are tight on operatives. Had this been any other mission I would have been allowed for some leeway, but in this case I have little choice but to assign this mission to those who graduate this eve. You will know once you have read the contents of the envelop why we are so pressed for time. Sou-Ho turned his head away from his grandfather, boring holes into the wall with his eyes in clear disagreement. Tomorrow, Sou-Ho. See that two teams are put together and that they are ready to depart and be briefed for what is being asked of them. Had I had it my way, my son, they would never have been sent on this mission.
-----------
When Sou-Ho left, returning to his dorm as instructed to read the contents of the envelop in private, Kelsier Nebulous returned to standing before the window, looking down at the garden below at the numerous cadets and instructors taking a break from their studying and enjoying the fine, sunny day. This is for the best. He thought, exhaling the breath he had been holding in. Isn't it?

”Get some rest and take those pills the nurse gave you! I'll be back to check on you later, okay? Bye!”
Lisanna gave the student a fond wave and then the door of the boy's room closed with a soft click behind her as she left. He was only a few years younger than herself, but Lisanna felt as if the disastrous mission they had both participated in had aged her at least ten years, so that she now felt much older than the injured students she was visiting. Well, more like 'recovering' than 'injured', actually. She was doing the staff at the Infirmary a favour by checking on the students who had been deemed well enough to leave and spend the remainder of their recovery in their dorms, in order to make space for some of the less ‘fortunate’ students. Lisanna shook her head. So many had been injured on that bridge...some even killed. Her thoughts flashed to Macaria and the girl let out a weary sigh. It did no good to dwell on this sort of thing. It was certainly a tragedy…and those lost would be mourned…but to allow grief to take over was just not healthy. She couldn't help the dead, after all. She could help the living though, and that's what she'd been doing for the past few days since she'd woken up in the Infirmary herself, feeling slightly dazed and rather like she'd been hit with a sack of bricks, her whole body aching from some kind of impact.
She could remember nothing beyond passing out after taking down the wasps, but she'd been told what happened. How she’d survived no one could tell her, because of all the chaos at the time. But it didn’t matter…she knew. And now that she’d finished her rounds, she would do what she’d been meaning to since the moment she’d woken up. Her feet guided her steadily through the building, along various corridors and walkways and finally down the stairs onto the grassy, peaceful fields of Winhill Garden, where she knew she would find him. After wandering for several minutes it didn’t take long for her to spot the two figures in the grass. They were some way away, but the girl was not in any particular hurry. She made her way over at a leisurely pace. Soft footfalls on the grass could be heard as she eventually approached the sleeping form of Kalay. ”I knew it was you...” Lisanna said softly after a moment or so, essentially announcing her prescence whilst trying not to startle the guy, if he really was asleep. Her long white hair curled slightly in the faint breeze, which also made her dress ripple as she walked. Her tone was warm and calm as she spoke, like the sunlight that shone down on the field. ”When I woke up in the Infirmary, wondering what had happened, I remembered hearing your voice in the dark.” She came to a stop several feet away from him, watching him with a smile.
”You saved my life...thank you.” The girl went quiet and looked off into the distance for a bit with a thoughtful expression, before eventually turning her attention back to the figure on the ground. Her gaze lingered on the sling he wore on his arm. ”I wanted to come and see you sooner...but after the mission everything's been a little crazy around here. I'm sorry.” She sighed and moved closer, tucking her skirt beneath her as she knelt on the grass beside Kalay. ”How are you doing?” She asked him seriously, folding her hands together on her lap and watching him. Of course Carbuncle was beside him, as always, and Lisanna cast the creature a friendly smile. Even though she found him adorable she never forced her affection on the GF, for that would be rude. She never picked him up or petted him unless he came to her. She was happy to see him, though. Infact it was just nice to see the two of them together in such a calm environment after everything that had happened. Lisanna lifted her head and looked up at the clouds drifting over. ”I heard about Ellale...if it helps, I have faith that she'll pull through, Kal. Really.”▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊰ ✮ ⊱▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lloyd laughed when Sophia jumped with a squeak and left her study area in disarray. "Haha I gotcha!" he said noticing the other students laughing at his little stunt. When the librarian gave them a unimpressed look Lloyd gulped a bit. See he and this old woman just never saw eye to eye, especially since Lloyd was the bane of all things silent. Lloyd opened his mouth to protest when Sophia and he were told to leave but the librarian shot him a glare that shut his mouth. The two of them were now walking alongside the other passing a few students as the sun shined down. The garden was alive with activity today, giving the whole atmosphere a pleasant feeling.
"Stupid hag" Lloyd said placing his arms behind his head with a pout. Sure he'd never say it to her face but that was fair they just got kicked out! Well sure a library was made for studying and all that, but what was wrong with a little fun? Oh well. Although, Sophia did get in trouble because of Lloyd’s foolishness. "Eheh sorry.." he replied to her puffing out one of his cheeks then letting out a huff. Of course he felt bad about getting her kicked out..but at least now they could hang out right? Lloyd kept looking forward failing to notice her blush. He blinked though, upon realizing she wasn't walking next to him and turned around. Sophia was standing there sheepishly then more less apologized to him.
The blond lowered his arms from behind his head a bit surprised "No worries!" he replied with a smile. Ever since she'd come back that the examination had taken a toll on her. The library was like her place of refugee but Lloyd didn't want to just let her get anti-social because of it. Even though...those memories were painful ones. At the moment they were on one of the pathways over the reflective pool with calm water. He didn't want to upset her by bringing up the past so he had an idea. "Oh! Today is the day we find out the results I think! Not to mention the ball is tonight" he said cheerful. "I'm not sure about you but I can't wait to have some fun" he added showing off a few simple dance moves.

Ivaria Kaizen Level: 7 Health: 800/800 Mood: Let's see how this goes... Location: Winhill Garden, Outside Sou-Ho's room Guardian Force: Ares Theme Music: And today, I leave you But I’ll be back someday And as I fly away My hope is that we’ll meet again I’m off to my home away from home I will miss you, but I know you know
I’m coming home to Winhill "Judging from the way you're walking...and the rather dour frown upon your face, talking with the Headmaster didn't go too well, now did it?"
Next to Sou-Ho's dorm door, stood a lone woman with blonde hair, a small book in her hand while a pipe smoked in her mouth, her attention on the book but apparently on more than what was apparent. With an exhalation of smoke, the female SeeD lowered the book and slipped it inside of her pocket, her eyes seeing Sou-Ho through the thick smog that was released from her lungs. She herself didn't seem the least bit tense. Actually, relaxed would be a more beneficial term to appropriate for the woman. It could be determined from the way she stood-leaning against a wall-or the simple fact that she was smoking while reading a book. Obviously though, she wasn't here out of pure coincidence but rather on a personal mission for normally, the woman was laying down sleeping or doing something that didn't involve a high amount of energy.
She looked Sou-Ho up and down before chuckling slightly, taking the pipe from her mouth and twiddling it between her fingers. Her eyes closed before returning back towards the man before her. "Not the most...orthodox mission, I assume? Because you look like s**t, Sou-Ho." She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts before continuing, "And the fact that the death ratio was rather...high... I heard about Macaria." The poor woman...her luck had run dry it seemed but that was a recurring theme it seemed. Luck and skill was what made composed a SeeD, and if you had no luck...you were dead in a heartbeat. Macaria was simply one of the many...and one of the few.
"So...care to inform me? What's going on...I'd like to know. I'm fully recovered from that last mission, and well...I guess ready to get back into the game." Her voice remained calm, almost at ease as she spoke to the man before her. On her last mission, she had been injured by a group of Bomb explosions, shrapnel entering her lower back and driving through her legs. That had been months ago, however. Her eyes looked down upon the scorpion's tail on her arm, a tattoo that gave her the nickname Scorpion, among other things...but really it was what Sou-Ho said that mattered. I’ll take you everywhere I go I’ll show you everything I see And as we say so long I know your tears wish me well It won’t be long till I’m back again We will meet again, we will meet again, you’ll see
I’m coming home to Winhill

Riyel "The Quiet One" Vicaria Now I think I understand How this world can overcome a man Like a friend we saw it through In the end I gave my life for you Gave you all I had to give Found a place for me to rest my head While I may be hard to find Heard there's peace just on the other side
Not that I could or that I would Let it burn under my skin, let it burn Junction: Ifrit Level: 6 Health: 560/560 Location: Winhill Magic: Fire(3) & Ice(2) §▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ {{Ooc:// }} {Current Theme Song: Dear God- Avenged Sevenfold}
Loud....noises.... Riyel's eyes snapped open quickly, both of them looking up towards the loud voice that Riyel could associate towards a single individual. Lloyd....ugh. Grunting irritably, Riyel stood up while holding his Gunblade, the weapon being placed on his back as he walked up the next flight of stairs to be on the same level as Lloyd, only to see what he called....dance moves. Rolling his eyes, Riyel walked up to Sophia and the blonde wonder and stood there, observing both of them before letting loose a chuckle. He had wanted to get mad for waking up...but it just seemed he never really could get mad. It was a curious trait about him but it was what made him Riyel.
"I'm sorry that this chimpanzee is bothering you Sophia." he said in comfort, his voice soft but warm, "Shall I call the zoo to retrieve him?" His eyes looked at Lloyd as Riyel slowly leaned against the wall, looking at the man, "And you...you woke me up." A very weak accusation but it was open, however there was no spite in his voice but rather joking. But a tingling feeling in Riyel's legs made him look down, his legs still hurt at times from the burns, just small effects of the drugs they'd given him but RIyel only hoped that those would go away soon.
Yet that really didn't matter. Riyel may be quiet...but he felt the need to converse with his teammates...because they had certainly endured something horrid together. Whatever that explosion was and Riyel just felt the sudden urge to branch out...whatever that was...
▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§ I hope it's worth it Here on the highway, yeah I know you'll find your own way When I'm not with you

A blood red sky. That was the most prominent thing in the memory, or dream as one might call it. Kneeling in a field of blood, holding his side where he was bleeding profusely from. Bodies around him, dead already or in the process of dying. He was used to these dreams. He never told anyone, but this was the reason he slept so much during the day, it was the easiest way to escape such dreams. He hadn't done a good job this time, though. Usually the nightmares only came at night... He pushed himself unsteadily to his feet before collapsing to his knees. He was dying. He knew the feeling, he'd felt it before on more than one occasion. Most SeeDs were used to the feeling, naturally. He coughed, blood spilling the ground beneath him as he glanced over his shoulder. It was coming. He had to go, otherwise they would all die. He forced himself up, and stumbled on. This was how the nightmare always ending, stumbling through a sea of dead. It was terrible...
Carbuncle's ears perked up as the sound of someone approaching reached his ears, the GF slowly giving a yawn before shifting it's head to laying on Kalay's chest, looking up at the figure that had approached lazily. Kalay, on the other hand, didn't so much as move. He seemed so relaxed on the ground even though he was having a nightmare. It was almost like his expression never changed. It was odd for a nightmare though, being that he had no trouble awaking. Her voice caused him to slowly open his eyes and glance over at her, almost as if he had never been asleep at all. Her hair curled in the breeze naturally, her eyes looking down at him with a smile. He could have picked out her voice from anywhere, honestly. He didn't trouble himself with many people. He offered a faint smile as she mentioned hearing his voice in the dark, offering him thanks a moment after. She turned her attention to the distance, Kalay turning his eyes to the sky for a moment, adjusting his arm beneath his head before closing his eyes. She offered and apology that she didn't need to offer, taking a seat next to him that prompted him to open his eyes again and glance over at her with a somewhat gentle look.
"You don't have to thank me. I didn't save you expecting thanks, but you're welcome. I wanted to save you." He stated in a matter of a fact tone, chuckling lightly before glancing down at Carbuncle as the GF climbed over him and curled up next to Lisanna, resting his head on her leg gently. The GF hardly seemed concerned as it quickly fell asleep, resting on her legs as if nothing were different between Lisanna and Kalay in terms of a pillow. Kalay actually chuckled lightly as he watched before looking up at her. "Don't worry about it. I knew you were busy. I've been fine out here, resting with Carbuncle. He keeps me company when I'm alone. It's good you've kept yourself busy. It probably keeps the thoughts away." But what did that say about him, who did nothing? Perhaps Kalay was a strange type of person. Her question didn't even phase him as he stretched with his free arm, offering a yawn and turning his eyes to the sky. How was he? That was a good question. He looked fine, but who really knew with Kalay as to what was going on in his mind. He let silence go between them, letting Lisanna bring up Ellale. In response, the man simply nodded his head, as if nothing were wrong.
"She's stronger than she looks. I know she'll pull through. Her signs have gotten more stable each day. I visit her in the morning before others come in to see her. She's got more friends than I realized... much more than I expected." He let his voice grow softer as he spoke. Was he being tough, of did he really feel that way? It was hard to say really. He never let anything show on his face or his manners, so it was impossible to read him for emotions. Lisanna was one of the few who could even tell when something was really bothering him. He watched the clouds float by for a moment before nodding his head lightly to some unspoken remark. "Honestly, I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me, Lis. You should worry for the students whom haven't seen such destruction before. They aren't used to actually seeing someone die. You've seen people die before, as have I. We're both already used to accepting death as a reality. Some of them... they didn't even handle killing the soldiers well. I could see it in their eyes. They weren't ready." He said with a sigh. He knew she had seen the results as well. It was fact, many of the students hadn't been prepared. It was a miracle it had turned out as it had. It wasn't that they hadn't been prepared properly, it was that in reality they expected magic to heal everything, and it couldn't.
"But how are you, Lis? That's the first time you've had to go on a mission and see the children right." Children wasn't the right word considering they were all near the same age, but he used it none the less. Caize had said the same thing... "Are you holding up? Do you have anything on your mind?" His voice was soft, concern in it even as he watched the clouds float by above them, the wind blowing gently by. He was... almost frustratingly calm. Lis was probably used to this, this was how Kalay was. He never let anything bother him greatly. The only time he had ever done something that might have surprised her was when he saved Nona. He had almost killed himself to do it, in fact he had died. She had to have noticed he had some quality that made him immune to any concern. That was the only way to explain how he could keep so calm, even after having almost died. "I worry about you, more than I worry about myself. I'll be fine, but I don't know how you handle it all. I have Carbuncle, but Zethar is not like that for you." That was a true statement. Kalay always did have Carbuncle, even when he was alone.◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤ Magic Stock: Haste 2 Cure 2 Aura 1

Two things that Sophia wasn't looking forward too. She had a bad feeling in her stomach that her scores weren't good and she didn't want to face the dissapointment when she finds out. The ball, wasn't her cup of tea. She was too shy to dance and she didn't talk to many people. She also saw no point in watching everyone dance ad talk while in a corner alone. "Act-" Sophia was about to speak when suddenly Riyel joined them and began teasing Lloyd. She watched him walk over and smiled a bit nervously. "I dont think thats Necessary but thanks for the offer." Sophia said softly and glanced at Lloyd. "Sorry We woke you up Riyel." She said and smiled at him. She would ask him about the ball but she wanted to get off the subject since she didn't want to tell everyone she wasn't going.
"How has your recovery gone?" She asked him as she fiddled with her fingers and glanced over at Lloyd. "I was wondering about your recovery too. You both got pretty beat up in that last explosion and I didn't have many heals left." Sophia quickly stopped talking when she realized that she was talking about that horrific moment. She suddenly remembered the fear that shot through her body, the screams that rang through her ears. Her eyes widened and she took a small step back, visibly shaking a bit. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up." She stammered and looked down. She felt like running away now and not coming out of her room.

Lloyd was looking at Sophia when he's attention was gained by the other blond Riyel. Lloyd's demeanor changed when Riyel, although jokingly, called him a chimpanzee. Call the zoo?! Oh that was it. "C-CHIMP?! YOU WANNA GO PRETTY BOY?! I'LL PUMMEL YOU INTO NEXT WEEK!" Lloyd barked rolling up his sleeves. Though he had no intention of actually harming Riyel he still made a fuss. "Hmph well it’s about time you had a wakeup call" he added crossing his arms with a huff. The comedic scene did good to remind ease Lloyd's mind so he could enjoy this current peace, no matter how fleeting it would be. Lloyd could tell that his previous questions caused a nervous shift in Sophia's demeanor and he frowned a bit. 'Way to go Nipal..' he said mentally feeling bad once more. It was then Sophia inquired about the recovery of Riyel and he from the mission. She also mentioned how badly hurt they both were and it brought back the memories of Lloyd grasping onto Sophia tightly trying to keep them both alive.
Perhaps..that moment was the absolute spike of sheer terror and courage he had ever felt in his heart. The only thing he could do was make sure he kept Sophia safe. In the chaos of that void and preceding explosion...it was all he could do. Perhaps a fit of madness overtook him, but Lloyd was determined to at least preserve her life..even at the cost of his own. Why did he feel such a way about Sophia? Suddenly he was snapped away from his thoughts as he noticed her looking down. No doubt she was recalling the events. Without a second though he placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a warm smile. "It's ok" he said with such care as if he was afraid to speak any louder.

Riyel simply nodded towards Sophia while looking towards his fellow blonde with a mere roll of his eyes. Of course, it was hard to take Lloyd seriously and this case was certainly no exception. Riyel leaned his head back as he looked up at the roof of the building while searching deep within his thoughts for some piece of information to browse over. But when Sophia spoke to him once more, Riyel's head stood back at attention as he rethought what she had said...it was something that he loathed to think about...and really could not recall at all.
That was it though. He really couldn't remember anything beyond a lancing, burning sensation all over his legs and the crack as he smashed into the water...then...nothing. But that was mainly it. Then he woke up all covered in bandages from head to toe, his legs wrapped more intensely. Other than screams...there was no noise truly coherent to him. "It's...okay..." Riyel reassured him, himself not truly believing it half way though. "We're all going to have to ...get over it." Hopefully they could....they couldn't linger on it forever....could they?
