In retaliation he dyes her hair black and multi-colored and styles it in a mohawk... So as if they don't look ridiculous enough, Eire wants to go to the movies... Phrixos, whatcha gonna do?

Sudden Storm
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [11/27/2011 4:02:56 PM] Jinx: The shimmering void opens, and out of it steps a young man. He's tall, and even at a distance you can see powerful muscles and a graceful gait that indicates an almost perfect sense of balance. His hair is blood red and long, spilling down his back. At the moment it's gathered in a tail. His clothing fits snugly to his body and hints at the powerful muscles beneath rather than show him off. Strong shoulders and arms are shown with his sleeveless shirt, dark red with black straps in the gothic fashion. His pants are also dark red with more black straps, though slightly more elaborate than his shirt. His black boots make surprisingly little noise as he crosses the room, looking thoroughly bored.
[11/27/2011 4:11:42 PM] Yushika: A woman with soft grey hair that falls to her waist sits under a tree in the room, her pale skin glistening under the lights. A book is placed in her gloved hands, red eyes flipping over the page, a gloved finger turning the page, and then once more resuming the activity. When a male arrives she doesn't look up, merely folding her pale legs, showing red socks. Apparently she does not wear shoes. Her dress is short sleeved, a red crescent moon on the soft, silver, glimery dress. It falls to her knees, spilling over gracefully into a fan shape on the ground. Perhaps she notices this man, perhaps not. She is more wrapped up in her book..
[11/27/2011 4:16:46 PM] Jinx: The room shimmers, suddenly changing to a scene outside. The land is mostly clear, with trimmed grass and trees dotting the land here and there. Sand and playground equipment appear nestled among a few trees not far away, and the man winces as small children appear with it. He scowls at the noise, and casts his eyes around. A nearby tree with a single quiet woman sitting under it catches his eye. He makes his way over, pleased that the trunk is broad enough to count as a separation, and flops down on the opposite side. He brushes his long hair over his shoulder and folds his hands behind his head, leaning against the tree.
[11/27/2011 4:19:38 PM] Yushika: The movement doesn't bother her, this tree is for everyone, after all. Her eyes flick up once when a ball is thrown her way, though she doesn't react when the owner rushes up, retrieves it, and wanders off, merely returning to her book. She almost forgets the man is there, but when his shadow arches around the tree she wonders if he will try and speak to her. She isn't sure if she wants him to, she's in a good part of the book...
[11/27/2011 4:29:01 PM] Jinx: The man makes an annoyed growl in the back of his throat when a brightly colored ball sailed towards the tree, thunking on the ground nearby. Granted it's on the woman's side of the tree more than his, but it is still accompanied by an annoying child, laughing and shouting playful insults in return to whoever threw the ball in this direction. He slowly begings to relax after the child runs off, and goes back to relaxing. His eyes, glimmering like two chips of onyx, stare upward at the sky. Briefly his mind goes to the woman as he hears the sound of a page being turned. Is she over here because she finds children annoying too?
[11/27/2011 4:38:53 PM] Yushika: When a child runs up to her she looks up, noticing a ball by her foot. When did that get there? Smiling slightly, she lifted the ball and handed it to the child. "Here." Was her simple reply, nodding softly when the child ran off. Once more she turned back to her book, glancing up when clouds rose. Hm. Her humans doing? Meddlesome...
[11/27/2011 4:43:11 PM] Jinx: The man glanced up at the crowd, expression blank. It wasn't that he didn't mind clouds and overcast days, but if this was the indication of a cold-front or rain then /that/ would be a whole different story. Sitting outside when soaked or shivering wasn't really relaxing...
He heard a rustling on the other side of the tree. Ah, that woman would probably be even more worried since she had a book with her.
[11/27/2011 4:44:23 PM] Yushika: Glancing up at the sky, she rose, beginning to move off. Turning, she wasn't sure how long this man would stay. Her hand shimmered, an umbrella appearing in it seconds later. Approaching him, she merely set it down for him and then walked off to find the house her human have given her in this world.
[11/27/2011 4:50:23 PM] Jinx: He heard the sounds of soft footfalls in the grass approaching him, but didn't move from his laid-back position. He caught sight of the woman in his peripheral vision, setting something down then straightening and walking away. He waiting until the sounds of her footsteps had long since faded, then reached over and grabbed what she had put down, holding it in front of his face. An umbrella. Huh. At that moment a soft rumble of thunder sounded. Looked like it was time to get up. He rose, wondering what the heck he was gonna do with the umbrella. Finally he just shrugged and decided he'd carry it with him. He could always use it if it did start to rain on his way home. Maybe he'd come back later and see if the woman was here, and return it.

Evil Has A Pretty Face And A Pleasant Laugh
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [11/27/2011 5:14:33 PM] Jinx: Phrixos looked out the window of his apartment. The sun had been shining for days now, and the ground should have dried up enough that he wouldn't get wet if he wanted to take a nap in the park. Even with the brats running around and playing, it was quieter there than it was here. Price of living cheap, he supposed.
He collected the umbrella, feeling immensely stupid carrying it when it was sunny outside. He arranged his features into a scowl and just ignore everyone, and at least if people talked they waited until he was out of earshot to do so.
When he arrived at the park he glanced around, looking for the woman. Nothing. The sky still flickered to his eyes though, a sign of two mental realms colliding, so maybe she'd show up? He found the tree that they'd been sitting other, distinctive in it's size and setting away from most of the playground equipment, and settled under it. Even if the woman didn't show up, he was going to get in some relaxing.
[11/27/2011 5:20:41 PM] Yushika: When Eire returned she still didn't have shoes. This time she didn't even have socks, book in her hands, now ungloved. It was a different book though, bigger. As she headed for the tree she spotted the man from before, going to the opposite side from him, sitting down and rearranging her dress which was now a yellowish grey, falling just slightly past her knees. The children's loud yells hardly distracted her, not much could.
[11/27/2011 5:26:49 PM] Jinx: Phrixos again heard the soft, even footfalls of someone approaching at a walk. Not a kid, and given that they didn't hesitate it probably wasn't some chick trying to work up the nerve to approach him and hit on him. He hated it when they did that when he was clearly trying to relax...
A quick glance confirmed his theory, though the woman's clothing had changed a little. Phrixos glanced down at his own clothes, the same he'd worn last time he was here. He didn't really have a large variety in his wardrobe anyway, everything was black and red with chains and straps, and these boots were the only shoes he owned.
He waited for the woman to settle, when the rustling of fabric quieted and the only sound was the hiss of paper sliding against paper. He reached down and picked up the umbrella, swinging it around so that the handle probably appeared somewhere near the woman's shoulder and lightly tapped it on the tree to get her attention so she could grab it.
[11/27/2011 5:43:49 PM] Yushika: Eire didn't hear the noise, to absorbed in her book. The males rumbling around didn't have an affect on her, flipping the page once more. She only looked up when the umbrella accidentantly touched his slim shoulder, looking up to see it, taking it gently, and nodding. "Thank you." With this, she merely swept it under her leg, rested her leg on it, and began to read once more.
[11/27/2011 5:48:30 PM] Jinx: ((XD This feels like Takashi and Aiken all over again, but harder!))
[11/27/2011 5:49:17 PM] Jinx: ((*looks at Phrixos* Why it so hard for you to make friends?))
((Phrixos: *shrugs* Don't need 'em.))
((OTL))
[11/27/2011 5:49:58 PM] Yushika: (( LOL ))
[11/27/2011 5:53:44 PM] Jinx: Phrixos grunted in acknowledgement of the thanks, leaning back against the tree. Man but it had been hard to get that chick's attention! The instant anything so much as twitched in his peripheral he was on it, and he'd been waggling that umbrella for at least half a minute. She was cute too, it must be a freakin' miracle if a creep hadn't tried to take advantage of her yet.
Briefly he wondered what the heck could be so interesting about a book. Granted he didn't read them very often so maybe he was just biased like that. Still. Stories were stories, which were very nice and all but they didn't help you beat off attackers or solve your problems.
[11/27/2011 5:57:14 PM] Yushika: (( *Can see Belial messing with Eire now... thanks Phrixos. ))
[11/27/2011 5:57:33 PM] Jinx: ((*is already holding back Ab* Yea, thanks Phrix...))
[11/27/2011 5:57:41 PM] Yushika: (( DO ITTT ))
[11/27/2011 5:57:53 PM] Jinx: ((*shoves Hugin into Eire's arms* Here, take this child and your books and hide.))
[11/27/2011 5:58:00 PM] Jinx: ((What, throw Ab into the mix?))
[11/27/2011 5:58:06 PM] Yushika: (( *Grins* Yes. ))
[11/27/2011 5:58:14 PM] Jinx: ((....You're evil.....))
[11/27/2011 5:58:20 PM] Jinx: ((.....*does it*))
[11/27/2011 5:58:29 PM] Yushika: (( Waits ))
[11/27/2011 6:09:09 PM] Yushika: (( *whisltes* ))
[11/27/2011 6:09:15 PM] Jinx: XD Sorry
[11/27/2011 6:13:05 PM] Jinx: "Oi, Phrix!" Phrixos jerked up, the silence suddenly shattered. "Speak of the devil, and he shall appear," he muttered under his breath, sitting up to look at the new arrival. The man striding up to the tree, a sometimes friend sometimes enemy, was the very essence of a creep.
Abaddon, or Ab, for short, was actually a very good-looking guy. He had hair just as red as Phrixos, though perhaps a shade or two lighter. It was short, only about chin-length, with bangs than flopped into his eyes and framed his face with a casual elegance that made ladies stare. Actually just pick a feature and ladies stared, from his brilliant crimson eyes with their long lashes to his well-muscled body, to his skin, smooth and healthy looking, a nice pale alabaster.
His clothing was similar to what Phrixos wore in style, fitting without clinging and liberally covered in straps. Ab's clothes were actually a touch more extreme, with a few spikes and chains as adornment in addition to the straps. Even his necklace was a chain. The fabric was all black, and though he thought all the decoration was irritating Phrixos had to admit it /was/ kinda cool. The chains draped in an impression like a spider web, and the straps were all a brilliant orange/red that looked like stripes of flames.
Because of their similar style of dress, hair color, build and pale skin, the two were often mistaken for twins or brothers. /'Yet even though I dress simpler I look scarier cause I frown more,'/ Phrixos thought, eyeing that bright smile Ab was flashing at him. The reverse was actually true. Phrixos might look scary, but he did have a sense of honor. Ab was a user, and, Phrixos suspected, an abuser. The man took too much pleasure in pain for his liking. [11/27/2011 6:14:18 PM] Jinx: Phixos stood up, walking towards Ab to try to head him off. He didn't want his approaching the woman at the tree and bothering her. "What's up man, you could have just caught me at my apartment."
"Nothing major," Ab replied, and Phrixos was disquieted to see his crimson eyes flicker over his shoulder and at the girl sitting there. "Just wanted to stop by and chat for a bit."
[11/27/2011 6:20:24 PM] Yushika: Eire's pale legs folded once more at the loud yell. Whoever it was was not a child. She didn't look up, brushing hair from her eyes once more, setting the book on the ground, and leaning over it. She didn't seem to really notice the men talking or what they were talking about, head glancing up only once to check the sky for clouds. No, today it seemed reasonable. Briefly she turned to look at the men finally, large eyes flicking back to the book.
[11/27/2011 6:28:50 PM] Jinx: "Then let's go somewhere else. Last thing we need is a brat wandering up here and his momma calling the cops cause she thinks we're weirdos. In your case, she'd be right." Phrixos felt a bit of satisfation at seeing Ab's eyes flicker in annoyance before the mask came back up.
"Phrix dude, that hurts! You know I'm a nice guy. Besides," Ab put his hands on Phrixos' shoulders, turning him around and pointing, "why would we want to move somewhere else when we have such a nice view here?" Phrixos quickly averted his eyes, stamping on his blush before it could appear. The woman's dress wasn't a skin-tight affair, so with her leaning over her book like that...
Phrixos jerked an elbow back, hitting Ab in the gut. "Jerk," he hissed, hoping Ab was just teasing him again; that would mean his attention was mostly focused on Phrixos and not the woman. He didn't have to know her to want to protect her; any chance he got to spare a woman from Ab's attentions, he took.
[11/27/2011 6:33:43 PM] Yushika: Movement, lots of it. Her books was far more interesting. Though when she saw a sharp movement from the corner of her eye she checked to make sure no one stabbed one another, pleased when she saw nothing, and once more looked at her book. She was tempted to sit up and ask her human why she was intent and shoving so many distractions at her... She just wanted to read, everyone was so loud.... She was about to head off somewhere quieter, somewhere alone.
[11/27/2011 6:41:02 PM] Jinx: "Come on Phrix, where's your sense of fun?" Ab drapped over his shoulders, and Phrixos had to fight not to flinch away or tense up. He knew Ab's tastes weren't strictly limited to women and he was pretty sure willingness didn't matter much when Ab wanted something. He was always very careful around Ab. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything for the woman, and there was no way to warn her. /'Walk away,'/ Phrixos thought hard, willing the woman to hear, /'Get up and walk away quickly, get out of sight.'/
"Hey baby! Why you just sittin' around and reading? It's a nice day, why don't you let a couple studs show you around?" Phrixos paled, shooting a black glare over his shoulder at Ab. Ab ignored him, his red eyes focused on the woman. He didn't like the hints of cruelty playing at the corners of his smirk.
[11/27/2011 6:44:08 PM] Yushika: Red eyes flicked up, blinking blankly at the man. She seemed slightly annoyed, closing her book after she had carefully slipped a leaf where she was in the book, setting it down and away. "Studs?" She looked up, folding her legs to one side, straightening her back, and putting her hands in her lap. "Show me where?" Ah, she could form sentences. Her voice was sweet and smooth, though it held a detachament as if she was half in the converstation and half elsewhere.
[11/27/2011 6:52:18 PM] Jinx: "Come on now, don't be like that," Ab crooned in a silky voice, putting on a charming smile that didn't reach his eyes. They openly lingered over her face, chest and legs. He suddenly began moving forward, towards her. Phrixos' arm snaked out and grabbed his elbow as he brushed back, holdiing Ab in a crushing grip.
"Ab, leave it. She's not one of your whores."
Ab smirked, not at all preturbed by the black eyes that glittered with anger and bored into him. Quite the contrary, he loved making Phrix's eyes go intense with anger or hate. "Whores? Come on Phrix, you know I've never had to pay anyone anything to spend time with me." He looked down at the pale hand, gripping his elbow so hard that tendons stood out. "Gonna let me go now? I'd hate to ruin that pretty face of yours."
[11/27/2011 6:53:19 PM] Jinx: ((Apologies if it seems like they're ignore her a bit. Just a warning, Ab touches or grabs without asking permission. If Eire tries leaving and he doesn't want her to, he'd grab her.))
[11/27/2011 6:53:30 PM] Jinx: ((Just poke me if I cross a line.))
[11/27/2011 6:53:51 PM] Yushika: (( I don't mind. There is no crossing with me. It's all story and rp, things happen in rl, so they happen in rp~ ))
[11/27/2011 6:55:24 PM] Yushika: Eire watched the two, noticing the males arm and how the tendons stood out. Were they....fighting? It seemed so by their facial expressions. Though, she looked up, head tilting. "Like what?" She asked softly, watching the man with intense dark eyes. She didn't understand but.... Standing, she brushed her dress of, picked her book up, and nodded. "If I go with you will you stop fighting? You are disturbing the children and the peace."
[11/27/2011 7:05:51 PM] Jinx: "No-," Phrixos started to protest, but Ab quickly overrode him. "Of course dearie, wouldn't want to startle the kiddies." He looked pointedly at Phrixos' hand. "Come on Phrix, she said she /wanted/ to hang. Don't start a fight." The Ab leaned forward, whipering quietly in his ear. "With that angry look and the way you just grabbed me, the police are gonna think you started it all. Do you want to spend the night in jail, cause that means I can have the whole day with your pretty friend without you breathing down my neck."
Phrixos stiffened and dropped Ab's arm like it turned white-hot. Ab pulled back and a smirk crossed his pretty face. He turned back, a normal smile replacing the smirk, and walked up to the woman. "Don't mind him sweetheart, Phrix just has a nasty temper." He reached out and seized the woman's chin, tilting her face up. "Huh, you're even cuter up close."
"Ab," Phrixos hissed, glancing at the playground. Some of the kids had noticed the big and "scary" adults, and had stopped to watch.
[11/27/2011 7:09:26 PM] Yushika: Eire blinked at him, removing her chin from his grasp by very lightly putting her slender hand on his, leaning back and away. She didn't hold a hostile look, red eyes blinking at him before she shook her head. "Thank you." She responded with, though she glanced at the children. A sudden smile touched her lips, hand touching Ab's slightly. She was more interested in removing him from the children then herself at this point. Besides, she hadn't seen a reason to be frightened, not yet. She glanced at Phrixos, nodding at him in greeting. Once more, she looked at Ab, frowning just a little. "Why were you two fighting?"
[11/27/2011 7:17:51 PM] Jinx: A flicker of annoyance crossed Ab's face when the woman gripped his wrist to pull free. At Phrixos' hiss he glanced at the kids from the corner of his eye, and the flicker of annoyance went through them again. "Come on, let's go somewhere a bit more....private," he said, suddenly grasping the woman's hand in a grip not quite tight enough to be crushing, but so firm that she couldn't pull away, and began leading her further from the park.
Phrixos moved to pick up the umbrella the woman forgot and quickly followed after Ab and the woman, casting glances over his shoulder. He'd probably never be allowed back here again, moms would see him and all the cops. Geez, why did Ab have to ruin everything for him?
No, that wasn't important right now. What mattered was following Ab and making sure the woman was alright. He might be nice enough right now, but eventually he'd make his move. Some women didn't care, too enchanted by his pretty face, but if she tried to tell him no and didn't have anyone to help her... Phrixos had seen Ab with some of his women before, and even for an antisocial person like him their bruises and frightened or curiously empty eyes made him shudder.
[11/27/2011 7:24:19 PM] Yushika: At the grip around her hand, she looked up, allowing herself to be pulled forward, though she seemed unhappy with this. Watching the male as she was pulled along Eire glanced at Phrixos', blinked, and looked at Ab's hair. Brothers? Oh... She had a gut feeling that this was a bad idea, but she firmly believed in peace. A park was supposed to be happy and peaceful, she couldn't let Ab and Phrixos just fight and bicker and ruin that. It was one of the few public peaceful places... "Where are we going?" She asked quietly, slightly more worried about her book, which was threatening to fall from her free hand. Without her other hand she was having a hard time holding it with her small hands.
She glanced back at Phrixos, offering her book to him. "Please?"
[11/27/2011 7:32:31 PM] Jinx: "Just somewhere we won't be disturbing anyone," Ab said silkly, looking sideways at the woman from under his lashes. His chain necklace clinked softly as he looked over at Phrixos, who had moved forward to take the book and held it along with the umbrella. "Phrix likes to stick his nose into things that don't concern him and cause fights, don't you Phrix."
"Only cause I know you," Phrixos responded in a quiet voice, though a hint of anger still smoldered in his black eyes. He couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't sound like he was overstating or arguing, so instead of wasting his time on that he tried to think of ways he could get the woman alone and away from Ab, and warn her off.
[11/27/2011 7:42:20 PM] Yushika: "Oh." She looked over at him, Phrixos that is, and smiled, this time a warmer smile. "I don't mind. Just next time please do it away from the children." Looking up at Ab she had the feeling that these boys did /not/ like one another, yet she couldn't see why yet. Her smile falling away, she looked up at Ab, hand stilled clenched. She turned back to Phrixos, nodding.
"Thank you for holding my book." She said softly, looking at the umbrella. Oh. OH. She was making him a purse... "I'm sorry."
[11/27/2011 7:52:59 PM] Jinx: "It's fine," Phrixos grunted, hooking the end of the umbrella over the wrist of the hand that held the book so that he had one hand free. He reached out and lightly tapped the woman's free hand, holding his out in an invitation to be accepted or rejected as she felt. He felt Ab glaring at him over the woman's head, but didn't look up to meet his eyes.
"What's up, thought you didn't like touchy stuff. What, you think she's gonna get lost of we don't hold both her hands," Ab said in a jokingly cheerful voice, all while his eyes pierced Phrixos' head. Phrixos looked up and black met red defiantly. "Well since we're both escorting her off to whatever place you think is good to hang out at, I thought I'd be a gentleman and offer. It's not like I just /grabbed/ her." He glanced pointedly at Ab's hand then tossed his hair over his shoulder, his own free hand still offered.
[11/27/2011 8:06:00 PM] Yushika: Eire felt like an object for a second, watching Ab's words. The tap had barely fazed her, though she glanced over, spotted the hand, and looked up into Phrixos' eyes. She stared at him, as if considering what to do, and then placed her hand in his, trusting the hand offered to her. It seemed Phrixos had more concern for her then the other, eyes flicking over at Ab.
"Eireonite." She said quietly, mostly to Phrixos since she doubted the other one cared that much. "My name is Eireonite." She looked up at Ab, his joking tone seeming to relax her slightly, taking it for kindness she was sorely mistaken by.
[11/27/2011 8:21:08 PM] Jinx: "Phrixos," he responded, then nodded at Ab. "That's Abaddon." Ab looked irritated, which please Phrixos. He knew why too; Ab didn't like people knowing his full name, because of the chance they knew it's origin. Based on that alone they treated him with caution, and just a little caution was all it took to see behind the mask. Phrixos was aware his name didn't have that much better an origin, but he didn't try to play people like Ab did so it never bothered him.
"Don't give out my full name dude, it sounds too strange," Ab complained lightly, running his free hand through his hair and ruffling it, though it still fell artfully forward into his face. Phrixos shrugged. "Sounded like she had an odd name too, so didn't think ours would be that outlandish to her," he said like it didn't matter, though he watching Eire sideways through his own long lashes. He wondered if she knew what their names meant, or if her books were all happy ones.
[11/27/2011 8:26:46 PM] Yushika: Eireonite looked over at Abaddon, shaking her head. "Depths of Hell, Abaddon." She whispered. "Phrixos, hated by Ino." She watched the two, head shaking. "Your name does not matter, it cannot be strange because it is you. Before we named things names were simply words. Hell was just a word, and then it became bad in peoples eyes. It is not the name that defines a person, it is the person themself." She knew of a few foxes with names, such as Vetis and Nyx, who had names of demons and yet... they weren't.
"I like your names." She mused lightly, eyes flicking to Abaddon. "If you do not like your name...why not change it?"
[11/27/2011 8:38:07 PM] Jinx: Phrixos blinked, the smallest of smiles quirking on his lips. This girl had spunk...
Ab spoke up, voice vaguely annoyed. "I can't change it cause I doubt /this/ guy," he pointed at Phrixos with his free hand, "would ever call me by a new name." Phrixos shrugged. It was true he'd always think of Ab as Abaddon. It was also true that he thought Ab was too attached to the name to ever give it up. It suited his grasping love of power and narcissism perfectly.
"Anyways, this is feeling a bit crowded. Why don't you," Ab reached around Eire toward the book and umbrella Phrixos held, "give me those, and then you can go on your way. I'm getting the impression that you don't want to hang out anyway. Unless you /want/ to join us, in which case you know my address." Ab smirked, and Phrixos had to hold back a shudder at the implied meaning he read Ab's eyes.
He could have ran then, bolted and had nothing to do with it. Ab really did scare him sometimes, and with Eire to occupy him Phrixos could make a clean getaway. He didn't really know the woman, why should he feel guilty at leaving her? And yet... His hand tightened on the book, conscious of the weight of the umbrella hand on his wrist. She was nice, and unless he was /totally/ off in his reading of others she wouldn't be up for Ab's idea of "fun".
[11/27/2011 8:42:37 PM] Yushika: Eire saw the smile, returning it with her own small one, looking up at Abaddon. "So you are that concerned about how Phrixos calls you and how he feels?" A smile touched her lips again. "It seems you really care about him." Ah, one could not blame her. Abaddon had said he wouldn't change his name because of Phrixos not being able to use a new one, of course she'd think they were friends. Perhaps they were frenemies? She watched the arm reach around, looking at Phrixos and then Abaddon.
The tightened grip on her book made her head turn, wondering if Phrixos was unhappy. She looked up at Abaddon now, blinking. His address? Were they.../those/ kind of friends? How...sweet.
[11/27/2011 8:44:51 PM] Jinx: ((.....Eire make me sob just a little, and Phrix OTL a bit))
[11/27/2011 8:44:58 PM] Jinx: ((XD))
[11/27/2011 8:45:18 PM] Yushika: (( LOL. ))
[11/27/2011 8:45:28 PM] Yushika: (( You can't blame her. ))
[11/27/2011 8:48:40 PM] Jinx: ((No, and it's actually delighting Ab cause it plays to his game of seeming harmless. Phrixos wishes Eire could read thoughts or something lol.))
[11/27/2011 8:50:16 PM] Yushika: (( DAWWW. D: ))
[11/27/2011 8:52:59 PM] Jinx: Ab smirked. "Oh yes, I care a lot. I'd care a lot /more/, but Phrix likes to play hard to get." He chuckled, a deep and rich sound. Phrixos found himself listening to it, and wondered how the heck was life fair that someone like Ab himself got so many pleasant physical qualities when the man himself...
"I'm not one of your whores either," Phrixos he snapped at Ab, voice a bit sharper than he'd intended.
"And yet you protest it so vehemently. Denying a secret fantasy?" Ab tilting his head to the side, red locks falling gracefully to frame his face and looking at Phrixos through slightly lowered eyelashes.
"I'd say that black eye I once gave you clearly states my thoughts on such things," he replied, voice and body equally stiff.
[11/27/2011 8:54:33 PM] Jinx: ((Well for backstory purposes Ab did molest Phrixos once. He's stronger than he looks, for a pretty boy. Didn't get far, since Phrix is strong himself, but that's why he's scared of Ab. He /knows/ Ab is stronger than he looks, and secretly wonders if he /could/ overpower him.))
[11/27/2011 8:55:00 PM] Jinx: ((And if he could, well, needless to say....))
[11/27/2011 8:55:18 PM] Yushika: (( Molest? SINNNNN. SIN. ))
[11/27/2011 8:55:25 PM] Jinx: ((I think I might have mentioned this before, but trivial things like willingness don't matter to Ab.))
[11/27/2011 8:59:07 PM] Yushika: Eire felt the hostile speech, gripping both mens hands tighter. "Can we not?" She asked softly, looking at both. "Though I honor your two affections for one another, perhaps you can show it in a kinder way?" She asked, her head tilting. "Are you two brothers?" When did she start talking this much? Her lips pursued, deciding not to continue speaking until spoken to now. She was growing carried away, she wa the type to listen to people and their stories, not her own.
[11/27/2011 9:07:11 PM] Jinx: "All my immediate family has black eyes, and I'm the only one with red hair," Phrixos responded before Ab could say anything. He toyed with the idea of telling Eire about what Ab was like. Would she even believe him? Given how she thought they fought a lot as it was already, and Ab's ability to make doe eyes, probably not. The only way she'd know is...
"Anyway it's more like we tolerate each other than there's any kind of affection. You wanna know why, you just gotta spend a day in his company alone. Not even a full day, I would think." Ab smirked.
"Why is that a suggestion? I'd be happy to take sweetie here off your hands. A whole day would indeed be marvelous."
[11/27/2011 9:11:34 PM] Yushika: An object. She was an object, she detested this. She really did. Though she kept her peace, watching the men. She wanted to ask if they were mates but she highly doubted they were. Such a suggestion may only serve to piss them off. So, instead she just smiled at the two. Briefly she looked at Phrixos, wondering if he was going top leave her to be alone with this.... man. She still wasn't sure how she felt about him. He was... she had her suspicions, though perhaps she was just being judgemental.
[11/27/2011 9:28:48 PM] Jinx: Phrixos froze in indecision. This was just getting to be too much for him. He glanced at Eire. Either she was exceptionally dense or she was fine with having "fun", even if Ab's fun wasn't usually for all kinds. "Whatever, I'm out." He freed his hand from Eire's and looked her in the eye. "You should walk too while there's still witnesses around, unless you're hiding a dark side behind a pretty face as well." He turned and strode off, moving quickly, so aggitated he forgot he still had Eire's book and umbrella clenched in his hands.
[11/27/2011 9:29:47 PM] Jinx: ((I think what he does next depends on Eire's reaction. There's a few possibilities.))
[11/27/2011 9:31:08 PM] Jinx: ((Sorry he just went like that though, Ab does that to him and he thought it would be rude to drag Eire with him. Ab would just follow anyway, and for all he knows Eire's into Ab and doesn't want to go.))
[11/27/2011 9:34:16 PM] Yushika: Eire watched Phrixos, eyes flicking to Ab. Something was wrong, with how they interacted and how Phrixos had seem so... off. Then again, she didn't know him. However, Abaddon seemed to.... she didn't like to judge a person by their cover but it wasn't his appearance. Somethign was wrong. She had felt alone when Phrixos left. She didn't /like/ being alone with Ab. For the first time, fear kicked in.
"I'm sorry, I should go." She released Ab's hand, making a move to follow Phrixos.
[11/27/2011 9:34:24 PM] Yushika: (( Violence is fine, idc. It adds to character development. ))
[11/27/2011 9:40:05 PM] Jinx: ((Since it's Ab alone this time, I'll throw in some action.))
[11/27/2011 9:40:10 PM] Yushika: (( Kk~ ))
[11/27/2011 9:44:57 PM] Yushika: (( *Whistles while waiting* ))
[11/27/2011 9:49:27 PM] Jinx: ((Sorry, I'm staring at it like, "This is how you write this kind of stuff, isn't it? I /think/ it's right..."))
[11/27/2011 9:49:43 PM] Yushika: (( LOL. ))
[11/27/2011 9:52:17 PM] Jinx: ((lol Well I just worry that my writing isn't any good.))
[11/27/2011 9:52:21 PM] Jinx: Quick as a snake Ab reached out and grabbed Eire's wrist again, but this time he wasn't gentle. "Go? We haven't even had fun yet." Squeezing hard enough to leave a bruise he suddenly moved forward, forcing Eire to either keep up or be dragged. As they had walked they actually left the park and had gone down a couple city streets. They were actually at the border of the residentals, the crummy apartment complexes; Phrixos' apartment was only a few blocks away. Ab dragged Eire into an alley, far enough where they couldn't be seen unless you stood directly in the mouth of the alley.
He stopped and looked down at her, a cruel smirk playing across his face. "You're just like Phrix you know. You think you can just walk away and I'll allow it." He pushed her against the brick wall, pinning the wrist he held next to her head and using his body to pins hers to the wall in such a way that she couldn't kick him in a potentially painful spot. He seized her chin with his free hand and roughly tilted her head back. For a single moment he looked her in the eyes, his own filled with cruel amusement, then his mouth was on hers. His lips forced her open and his tongue forced it's way into her mouth.
[11/27/2011 9:53:10 PM] Jinx: ((Shower now, poke me when/if you want Phrixos to show up again.))
[11/27/2011 9:56:51 PM] Yushika: Fear. Raw fear. She felt it explode in her stomach, felt it as he dragged her. She was right, this man was frightening. A quick yelp escaped her lips, dragged behind Ab. She was forced into the alley, attempting to rip away. "Abaddo-" She was cut off by those frightening eyes engulfing her, eating at her soul, setting her on fire with fear. And then she was kissed.
No. Why? She had done nothing wrong, she just wanted a peaceful life, just... that was all. She was scared. He was... Her eyes shut, struggling against the hands holding her wrists, and then she bit, hard. She bit on the tongue, attempting to get him off her. To get away. So this was why Phrixos hated Abaddon. And now... she hated both of them, a rare emotion for her. A man that had left her to be... what was this? And the man...doing this.
She wanted to melt into the ground.
[11/27/2011 9:57:05 PM] Yushika: (( You can have him enter whenever, but be warned she will be afraid of Phrixos ))
[11/27/2011 9:57:35 PM] Yushika: (( I actually plan on Ab hurting her in a way that she is frightened of everyone. Phrixos tries to help a little, sticks around a bit. Maybe from guilt, maybe because he cares. ))
[11/27/2011 10:07:41 PM] Jinx: ((Well Phrixos will be able to relate anyway, though how far do you want Ab to take this?))
[11/27/2011 10:08:21 PM] Yushika: (( Mrhm. Just a little further to freak her out beyond belief, and then he is about to go further when Phrixos walks in ))
[11/27/2011 10:08:32 PM] Yushika: (( *Bad person* ))
[11/27/2011 10:10:16 PM] Jinx: ((XD *is also bad, will be writing most of this* So some ripped clothes and touching, those he doesn't go all the way with her?))
[11/27/2011 10:11:02 PM] Yushika: (( Yup. Oh poor Phrixos, having to deal with her after. ))
[11/27/2011 10:11:26 PM] Jinx: ((Also give me feedback. How'd I do on that scene? Too abrupt, not enough details, writing style a bit off?))
[11/27/2011 10:11:45 PM] Yushika: (( It's perfectly fine, I understood everything and it didn't freak me out. :3 ))
[11/27/2011 10:16:15 PM] Jinx: ((*nods* Okay, give me a sec to write for Ab. lol I think I hesitate more with this style of writing cause I try to find the balance between too little and too much.))
[11/27/2011 10:16:57 PM] Jinx: ((Also, though interesting for character development, will be sad if this makes Eire a lesbian > n> *determined to lock Ab away after this* Bad Ab, no making the pretties les.))
[11/27/2011 10:17:33 PM] Yushika: (( LOL. If Phrixos does a good job she'd fall for him :3 But if he did a bad job.... lesbian it is. ))
[11/27/2011 10:18:33 PM] Jinx: ((Hmmmm, can't say yet what kind of job he'd do. Emotions are a volatile thing, anything can happen and plotting tends to be purest folly on the parts of creators.))
[11/27/2011 10:18:52 PM] Yushika: (( Mmm, true. ))
[11/27/2011 10:42:44 PM] Jinx: Ab withdraw from Eire's mouth with a hiss of pain. He pulled back to look at her again. Perhaps if there had been rage in his eyes the situation would have at the least made more sense. Instead there was a kind of sadistic amusement. His grip on both her wrist and chin tightened. "Tsk tsk. So the little dove has some hawk in her after all," he said in silky tones, bringing his face closer to hers. "Or maybe not. Let me show you what it feels like to really use the power of pain."
He lowered his face to her neck, running the tip of his nose briefly up and down the skin and then lightly nibbling at it. When he reached the spot where her neck met her shoulder he suddenly bit with force, hard enough that a bruise was already starting to form. He didn't actually break the skin, deliberately stopping just before he reached that point.
His mouth went back to hers again, and this time he paid a bit more attention to her teeth in case she was still of the mind to bite again. He angled his head so that she was pinned between his face and his arm holding her wrist, then released her jaw.
With his free hand he began to explore her body, trailing down from her shoulder to cup one of her breasts then moving down to trail across her flat stomach and the curve of her waist. His hand moved up to run fingers through her hair at the back of her head, tightening and pulling her face away from his so he could breath and stare at her again, then moving his face back to hers. If she couldn't use her mouth or catch her breath, she couldn't scream...
His finger dug into her wrist, drawing blood now. His other hand moved over her body again, this time impatient. He grabbed the sleeve of her dress and pulled violently, rewarded with the sound of cloth ripping. His hand snaked through the hole he had made to explore bare flesh.
[11/27/2011 10:43:12 PM] Jinx: ((You want to post something for Eire now, or should I have Phrix jump right in at this point?))
[11/27/2011 10:44:06 PM] Yushika: (( I'll post a quick thing for her then you can do Phrixos ))
[11/27/2011 10:47:27 PM] Yushika: There was something about this that seemed impossible. She had just been reading a few hours ago. Reading. Now... this. This painful, frightening violation. She wanted to scream, wanted to cry out and yet she was stopped by this violent man. Her struggles became violent, pinned down easily. Her throat never had the chance to scream, he wouldn't allow it it seemed. Was this it? Was she going to be raped and then thrown aside, perhaps killed?
Rape. That was what this was. She knew this was where this was leading. Her, the one that revolved around peace... this didn't make sense. Finally she felt her fear take the form of tears, trying to bite, kick, scream, anything, and yet she couldn't. She wanted her brother. She wanted him to find her, she wanted to curl into his chest and sob. She wanted someone she loved. This man was going to destroy her innocence, this man was going to break her.
[11/27/2011 10:57:11 PM] Jinx: Ab chuckled deep in his throat when he saw the tears starting to form, pouring down her face. He always loved this part of breaking innocence into little pieces.
Something suddenly came into his peripheral vision. He didn't even have time to look with a fist connected, hard, with the side of his face. A hand curled around /his/ wrist, and before he could recover from the first blow another was added to his gut. That combined with a kick to a very......delicate spot and Ab started to fall to the ground. He was stopped short by his necklace begin grabbed, and this his face was pulled forward to meet the fist flying at it. He fell to the ground, feeling a foot encased in a heavy boot slam into his ribs, then there was a sound of running and his own ragged breath. Ab considered the mane of dark red hair he'd seen flying around in the whirling attack. This called for punishment, oh yes...

We're Safe Here
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [11/27/2011 11:06:32 PM] Jinx: Phrixos had been in a highly charged state when he stormed away, heading to his apartment. It wasn't until he reached the building and calmed down that he realized he still had Eire's book and umbrella. He hesitated, then his conscious added a throb of his own. He really didn't like leaving Eire behind with Ab...
He turned and backtracked, trying to think of where they might be. He was only a few blocks from his building and passing an alley when a flash of bright orange/red and pale silver caught his eye. He looked and saw Ab and Eire. For a moment he froze, unsure of what to do. Then he saw the way Ab held her, the tears on her face. It was when Ab ripped her dress that he shook off his spell and moved forward, as quickly as possible while remaining silent. He'd gone for Ab's face first, wanting him off Eire and hoping to disorient him. Next had followed punches to the gut and privates, both meant to cause pain and disorient. Another punch to the face, pulling Ab towards him to give it more force, and a strong kick while he was on the ground. Ab was remarkably hardy, and Phrixos didn't think this would last long. From the look of Eire she wouldn't be able to react quick enough...
With a mental apology he turned, bent and picked her up, draping her over his shoulder and ran for it. His apartment wasn't far away, and while Ab might know where it Phrixos had locks on the doors and a phone if he needed it. And somehow he still had ahold of the book...
They made it in record time. Phrixos had a room on the second story, and took the stairs at a run. As tired as he felt, he could imagine Eire was feeling much worse. He didn't actually pull her into the apartment, afraid that it might scare her more. They stopped in the hallway, right outside his door. Breathing heavily, Phrixos carefully lowered her down.
[11/27/2011 11:10:12 PM] Jinx: ((I imagine she might start freaking out at some point before they reach his apartment, but he doesn't think staying on the street is safe atm. Better to be in a building with witnesses.))
[11/27/2011 11:14:19 PM] Yushika: Movement, flashes, and suddenly she was released. She fell to the ground, body crumpling into herself. Shock stunned her. Everything was... to fast. To much. Her hands covered her eyes, tears flowing as her heart pounded and then her world froxe. Everything was frozen.
And then she was lifted. That was when it kicked in, her bright fear becoming a loud scream. She lashed out, the usually sweet woman claw at the man holding her. She saw red, that was all she saw. She wasn't sure whose red it was, did it matter? An object, grabbed and flung over a shoulder like a thing.
A building... when she was set down her eyes flicked up to the man, widening in absolute terror. It was the man that had let this happen. Phrixos. And now.... floor...door...stairs... a home. A hallway to an aparament. He was blocking her escaping, and so she leaned back, using her arms to cover her face, legs drawing up into her chest, shaking as she hid. He was going to hurt her, obviously. Why else would he have returned to a scene he had let happen and take her?
jinxgirl5 Phrixos thought he was tired. That was before the adrenaline drained from his body, and suddenly his legs were shaking as though made from jello and he was in danger of falling on top of Eire. Given what she'd just been through, common sense was already telling him he'd better not touch her without permission now that the danger passed. Well, common sense and maybe a little empathy. Actually falling on her probably constituted as worse than touching. Phrixos shoved himself backwards and staggered, his back hitting the wall of his across-the-hall neighbor. He slowly slipped down to the ground, his legs not wanting to hold him anymore, trying to catch his breath. For a moment there was silence filled only with two sets of harsh breathing, one exhausted and one bordering on breaking into sobs. "We're....safe here. Ab...knows....there's no..easy way to....get into my...apartment..and I have..a phone to call the...cops...if he tries," Phrixos managed to gasp out between breaths. He paused again, still drawing in ragged gasps of air. What did one even say in a situation like this? He knew how Eire felt, since minus the ripped clothes the exact same thing had happened to him. The main difference was he'd had to save himself. Even to this day, a shot of terror traveled down his spine when he remembered how strong Ab had been, and how his escape had been of luck more than anything... It had changed him. He'd been a cocky punk, ready to pick fights with little to no reason, a hair-trigger temper and bullying ways. He didn't back down for anyone or anything. Now? He questioned the motives of everyone he met, evaluated new people before approaching with caution. Casual touches made him uncomfortable, with the expection of a few people he knew well. Intimate touches were out of the question! His temper both mellowed and intensified, so it wasn't as easy to set him off as before but when you did set him off... He'd also begun to exercise more, starting an intense routine set to make him stronger so that he'd never feel so helpless again. How could something traumatic enough to change someone ever be made all right with a few words? He drew his legs up, resting his arms on his knees and letting his head drop down on his arms. His hair fell forward to make a blood-red waterfall down his side and the book fell from his hand to the floor with a thunk. His back rose and fell in heaves as he still fought for breath. "Do you...have someone....you can call? Not..safe outside...on foot."
Yushika Her body trembled, still not moving. She barely heard his words, though finally she rose her head just to watch him in fear, pressing more into the back of the wall. "...Yes." She had one person, the mate of her brother. Tithe. She knew her, she knew her number... If she called her would she come get her? She hoped so... the gunner would hopefully scoop her up and take her to her own house, care for her... She once more lowered her head into her body. The stress was becoming to much, it was over bearing her... and then suddenly she fainted. Right then and there. She fell over on her side, causing a soft "thunk" sound. The bare footed girl was not used to any stress at all, and this attack of it... yea. She was done.
jinxgirl5 Phrixos was having a brief moment of selfishness, praying it wasn't a family member she was going to call; male relatives in particular tended to hit first and ask questions later. In this case it probably wouldn't matter either way who Eire called. There she was, this delicate-looking thing with dark bruises, torn clothing, swollen lips and left wrist smeared with blood. There he was, looking like the cover boy of Punk Weekly. Consider the conclusions already jumped. He was pulled from his contemplations by a quiet thudding sound, like something hitting the ground. His head shot up in alarm before his brain caught up, reminding him that it was too soon to be Ab and the sound was all wrong anyway. Then he caught sight of Eire, slumped over on the floor. The narrow hallway filled with the sound of colorful (and anatomically improbable) oaths as Phrixos lurched to his knees, shuffling over to kneel by Eire. He felt a moment of relief when he saw she was still breathing; fainting was better than dying, especially in front of his door. Though he probably would have deserved it... Phrixos stared at Eire, still as a statue while he hesitated and pondered over his next move. It was actually obvious, but he had to make sure he got it right or things would get a lot worse when she woke up. First he stood and went to his door, unlocking it and opening it up wide. He went back to kneel beside Eire, balanced on the balls of his feet, and carefully working his arms under her. He drew her up, cradling her against his chest, then stood with a soft grunt of effort. _____________________________________________________ Phrixos` apartment layoutPhrixos double-checked the locks on his door, then turned to face his apartment and hesitated. When he first carried Eire in he'd put her on his bed, then went back to the hallway to get the book and umbrella that started all this, then locked his door behind him. Then had come all the tough stuff. After dithering for a moment and making sure his couch was clean (it was, he was actually quite neat) he moved Eire from his bed and drapped his single spare blanket (fleece, usually kept in the closet until it got cold) over her upper half, sending a brief thanks to the Deities that he'd done laundry yesterday and the cloth smelled like clean soap. If it wasn't for the torn clothing he wouldn't have covered her at all, since it was warm in the apartment and if she woke in a panic the blanket might feel like it was trapping her or something. He just wanted to help perserve what little dignity she must have felt like she possessed at the moment. He put her book and umbrella on the coffee table, easily within her reach for when she woke up, then started wandering the house. The book and umbrella were joined by a simple shirt with a fast-food logo (Gift from his absent-minded sister Nanna, he had a couple others from her that he used as sleeping clothes. This one was fresh-clean and hadn't been worn yet.), a sealed bottle of water, his cell phone (he usually forgot it at home), and some first-aid paraphernalia. The last he had hesitated over. Since she hadn't woken either time he moved her and her left arm was in a good position for it he took a chance and cleaned her wrist to remove the blood and disinfect the marks, then smeared more disinfectant ointment on it and wrapped the whole thing with bandages. It was actually a tidy bit of work considering how quickly he moved to get it done; if the nail punctures hadn't started to bleed sluggishly as he cleaned them he wouldn't even have bothered with the bandages, just to keep touching to a minimum. He left the first-aid stuff on the table just in case there were more cuts not immediately obvious or if she needed painkillers or something. Now he just had to figure out where to put himself. Even if he hadn't seen the fear in Eire's eyes when she looked at him, Phrixos knew it might be awhile, if ever, before she became comfortable around guys again. He didn't want to stay in the living room, that was too close, but he wanted to be immediately visible so she didn't panic or if she needed him, or both. Sitting in front of the door would be bad, and with the locks in evident display that should be enough to make her feel safe that Ab wasn't getting in the room. He glanced at his bedroom. Well the couch was positioned so that all Eire had to do was sit up and she was looking in his bedroom. The room wasn't big and the bed was kinda right there, he could go lay down on that. Yea, that might be best. He kicked off his boots by the entrance, then hesitated. Going to his kitchen he pulled out a pen and pad of paper from a drawer and hastily scribbled down the address to his apartment complex and his apartment number, just in case, and left it on the table next to the phone for Eire. Finally he got to his bedroom, pulling his long hair out of its tail and crawling on the bed to lie on top of the covers. He shifted a bit to lay on his side, hair fanned out behind him, and just stared out the open window, waiting. Slowly the sun began to descend; his window faced west and seemed to be positioned just to catch the most sun. He tolerated it for a moment then had to close his eyes, just laying there and feeling the warmth on his face. Must be almost 6 pm, Eire had to wake up soon. The thought made him unaccountably nervous until he forced himself to relax. The day's events and the warmth of the sun caused him to slip into a light doze.
Yushika Now, when Eire woke she did panic. Almost went for the knives in the kitchen. However, she had managed to compose herself, look at the paper, and called her friend. While she waited she curled on the couch, legs drawn to her chest and head resting on the knees. Her eyes trailed down to look at her bandaged wrists, flinching at the memory of just how they got there in the first place, head turning away. Though, to be bandaged they would have to be by.... that man. Had he done this? Once again she raised her hands, hastily shoving them back into her lap. No. She didn't care if he had. She still didn't trust him. ~~~~~~ She had dozed off, having clung her umbrella and book to her chest and fallen asleep sitting up. When the sound of a faint knocking on the door interrupted her sleep her eyes flicked open, hastily throwing aside her objects violently and rushing to the door. When she checked through the peephole, flung the door open, and literally jumped into the surprised womans arms she felt that frightened, small feeling inside her chest vanish. Warm, strong arms wrapped around her tightly and she felt the handle of a gun press into her hip, looking up at the taller woman. The woman had hair that fell to her shoulders, just a little past. It was wavy, bangs swept to one side. Her hair had natural red tips, the rest a dark, raven black. Her red eyes glowed, illuminating the womans pale face. She was beautiful, yet had a coldness and harshness to her that could scare of anyone. Her outfit was a simple tanktop, a halter belt, black pants, and a leather black trench coat with red velvet interior. Her many piercings and accessories made her look rough, though her beauty out shined that. Her heavy boots made a soft thud noise as she entered the room, grabbed her twin guns from her belt, and turned to Eire. "Where is the son of a b***h?" She snarled, idly running a black nail over a gun. Eire wasn't sure what to say, her eyes flicking away as she closed the door. She didn't know. Phrixos had abandoned her, yet wrapped her arms...She wasn't sure what to do, so the woman merely walked and began to explore the house.
jinxgirl5 "You know, I really dislike guns," came an off-hand comment from the bedroom door. Phrixos was there, leaning against the frame, body a bit tenser than his casual tone would lead one to believe. "Given the circumstances, I'll make an exception." He was a light sleeper anyway, and this time he'd only been cat-napping; he woke immediately when Eire made her phone call, drifted a little, then woke again when the knock on his door had sounded. He'd barely had time to get off the bed and his hair was still unbound, most flowing down his back but a large portion resting over his shoulder. He gave the strange woman a quick once-over and felt a stab of amusement that he kept off his face. He and she were complete reverse images of each other. She had red eyes, he had black. She had black hair with red tips and he had red hair with black tips, though given how much longer his hair was his tips weren't as pronounced as hers. She wore mostly black with red touches, he wore red with black touches. Even their clothing style was similar. Yet another person who looked like they could possibly be related to him, but that was neither here nor there at the moment. Phrixos made no attempt to move from his position in the doorway, arms crossed in front of him with his hands visible enough to show they held no weapons. Except for his chest rising and falling and the barely perceptable shifting of his eyes, he stood still as a statue. His eyes moved to Eire, and his expression altered briefly into a questioning one before returning to neutral. "I'm assuming Ab's the son of a b***h," he remarked, voice still off-hand and glancing at the strange woman briefly. "Does that make me the b*****d, or have you still not decided how much blame you want to lay on me?" He shrugged, more red hair spilling over his shoulders. "I thought my dropped comments and body language was enough of a hint. I didn't make a direct remark mostly cause I figured you'd think it was all talk since he and I had been arguing. In hindsight, you probably thought that anyway with my subtle hints. You seem more innocent than naive, I'm sure any other time you'd have caught them." A shadow of bitter anguish ghosted across his face. "They say hindsight is always perfect," he said, catching Eire's eye then dropping his gaze down to the floor. "It's not an excuse, but I played out all the scenarios. No matter what I did or didn't do, Ab would have eventually gotten to you." His hands slid up to grip his arms above the elbow, fingers contracting until the skin stretched tightly over his knuckles, the only sign of stress he showed.
Yushika Eire backed into Tithe, allowing the taller woman to push her behind her. "I didn't know." Eire whispered, hands on Tithe's shirt. "How am I supposed to see this "hints" if I never even talk to people! People don't talk to me! Men don't talk or speak or come up to me! My life is peaceful and then... And then you left me to that thing." She flinched into the wall, head lowering until her hair covered her face, shutting down. Tithe watched the woman, turning the safety off her twin guns and aiming it at Phrix's face. "I say you tell me where to find this man or I will shoot you." She snarled, moving closer to Eire. "Now. Write it down." She jabbed her gun towards the paper Eire had written her phone number on, her gloved hand reaching out to touch Eire's wrist, pulling the girl towards her, not minding that Eire was clearly not even there at the moment, stumbling towards Tithe like a broken robot.
jinxgirl5 Phrixos gave a short bark of a laugh. "What do you read in those books of yours? Even if you've never personally experienced something, you mean to say you haven't read about it either? Every story has a villian." He briefly wondered if maybe he was just biased in that regard. After all both his parents had horror stories for pasts, and they were the stars of those stories. Perhaps he hadn't been personally involved in many of the evils of life, but he was aware they existed. He sighed, pushing himself up from the wall and turning into his room. He emerged with a hair tie in one hand, gathering up his hair in the other. He didn't even glance at Tithe. "Can't help you. I don't know where he lives and I really don't want to." He finished tying off the tail and flicked it behind him, then looked up. "You're a young and attractive female though, so you shouldn't have trouble finding him. Just loose some of the tough look and canvase the area. He'll probably find you. Get her," Phrixos jutted his chin at Eire, "far away from here. Make sure no one follows you. Make sure he doesn't see you with her, or Ab will keep his distance from you." He looked over at Eire. "Sorry, but never go back to that park again, or take someone with you if you do." He looked back at Tithe. "Now is that all? I've got my own tracks to cover, and with your guns and the way Eire's looking at me neither of you want my help."

Healing Is A Long, Hard Road
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: jinxgirl5 Phrixos sat on the floor, one leg with a foot on the ground so his knee was chest level and the other stretched out in front of him. He had an arm propped on his knee while his head and back pressed against the wall behind him. Windows provided all the light and the only sounds that came from inside were his soft breathing and the hum of the refrigerator. A variety of sounds from outside reached his ears, from lawnmowers to dogs to cars passing by. He shifted, and winced when his injuries protested the movement. He'd rather be lying down on his bed, but he'd fall asleep if he did that and he was waiting on the mail to arrive. His eyes drifted to the brown moving boxes stacked around the room, all of them untouched. He'd started hunting for a new place to live immediately after Eire and her sister-in-law left, living out of hotels while he searched the market. It hadn't taken long to find a place he liked, but trying to make sure he covered all his tracks proved to be a tedious task. He was positive that no records of his family or their pasts existed, but he was hesitant to bring them into his problems. Instead he managed to get in touch with an old acquatinace of his father, though it had been extremely difficult to track him down. Phrixos had rather liked the man's dry wit and had talked him into helping; while Phrixos made the payments the house was technically under the man's name, and the man and his son had been the ones to go to his apartment and get all this things when it came time to move. A chill went up Phrixos' spine. 'I just pray I got far enough away,' he thought. The hotel hadn't been far enough apparently. It was his last night there before he moved into his new house. He'd been leaving his room to get something to eat, opening the door when something slammed into him. What had followed, unfortunately, he could remember quite clearly. He tried burying it under a fog, not wanting to remember. The only blessing he still had left to him was that Ab had no idea about his plan to move. That had been three days ago. Phrixos didn't want to be in public until all his wounds healed, so had not left the house except to get his mail. There wasn't really much to eat, but he found his appetite sorely lacking anyway. The sound of a slow-moving vehicle, constantly pausing, caught his attention. He listened carefully and caught the quiet sound of metal scraping on metal by the time it reached his neighbor's house. He waited a few minutes until the sound of the vehicle had faded away entirely, then slowly and painfully drew himself upright. He moved cautiously, trying to get into a certain rhythm so that anyone watching might think he was tired rather than hurt. Before opening his door he make sure his hood was pulled up and hiding his face in its shadow, then stepped outside. He shuffled as quickly as he dared to the mailbox, pulling open the cover and grabbing its contents then turning straight around without looking through any of it. A sudden gust of wind sprung up out of nowhere, pulling at his loose clothes and shoving his hood away from his face. Phrixos swore, hand flying to catch it and pull it back in place. He knew that more of his face was vivid purple-blue bruises than normal skin, and though the swelling had finally gone down the marks were enough to alarm anyone. He didn't need any do-gooders in the neighborhood making a fuss and potentially drawing attention. All he wanted was to disappear... [9:20:24 PM] Yushika: Eire didn't want to be seen anymore. Her hands trembled whenever she touched the door knob, she had only recently ventured to the market, sporting a hood over her head and a knife at her belt. A knife... so sweet, so friendly, so much like a hippie, and she had a knife? It didn't make sense. Her fear caused her to jerk away when a man brushed against her. Caused her to flinch into a stand, perhaps knock over a melon or two.
Now? It was a feat for her to go to the market, so the mailbox should be fine. Her heart leapt in her chest, hand gripping her knife from the inside of her jacket as she headed for the door, slipping outside. She had moved to this small house, far from those....horrorfic men. The man who had hurt her and the one that had left her... she was okay, now. Safe.
Right? So, when she headed to the mailbox she didn't need to look so...frightened. Right? ....Right.
[9:25:11 PM] Jinx: Phrixos felt a small sigh of relief escape his lips. He'd gotten his hood up right as his next-door-neighbor came out, also to get her mail. Once upon a time he'd have watched, made observations to store away in the back of his mind for another time. Now? He couldn't bring himself to care much.
A new gust of wind sprang up. Forewarned, Phrixos turned so that the wind pressed against his back, actually molding his hood to his head. His black eyes lifted from the ground briefly to spot his neighbor. She too was wearing a hood; the wind yanked at the cloth and half-pulled it down.
Letters hit the ground with soft thunks as nerveless fingers lost their grip. Phrixos instantly bent to grab them, eager to be back inside. He cursed as the wind whisked the last letter from under his fingers, towards the woman he thought he'd never seen again...
[9:37:27 PM] Yushika: When the wind ripped away her hood she had already seen the letter, bending over to pick it up with slender fingers. When she stood and her eyes rose she stopped, eyes widening. First, with fear, then hurt, and then fear once more. She almost ran away, almost grabbed her knife, however instead she just jerked her head away, extending her arm out.
That man...
"This is yours." She said lowly, in a dislocated tone. His. Her fingers were gripping the letter hard, trembling. She didn't know what to say....what to do... she was scared and hurt, and most of all.. She had discovered a new emotion.
Raw anger.
[9:49:56 PM] Jinx: Phrixos felt like his heart was in his throat. He mentally double-checked his clothing; shoes and baggy pants covering his legs, baggy hood covering arms, hands, and face, shirt with collar turned up to hide what the hoodies missed.
His reasons for hiding behind cloth were simple enough. Someone who saw him might think it was bad enough for the hospital and call in on him. Hospitals meant records, which meant a way to be found. Pride had never played into it; he was far too empty for pride.
But her... More than anyone, Phrixos didn't want this woman to see his hurts. She couldn't be allowed to know. It was simpler if didn't, simpler to let her hate him. Maybe her hate could help him keep her away...
He kept his head down, face hidden in the shadow of his hoodie. He couldn't snatch the letter and run like he wanted, for he was far too injured for that. He tried to at least look like nothing was wrong as he reached for the letter, only the barest tips of his fingers visible from beneath his longs sleeves.
"Thanks," he muttered, grabbing the letter with the tips of his fingers. Now he just had to hurry and get out of here. Quickly, before she noticed anything.
[10:20:25 PM] Yushika: Her hands jerked to her side, head turning towards her shoulder. Quietly, almost a whisper, she managed one response. "It's going to storm soon, make sure you're ready for it." With this she turned on her heels, stopped for a second, and then walked towards her house.
What was she supposed to do? Speak to him? No. She didn't.... she stopped, head turning back. Was he..bruised? That... that wasn't her concern. She shouldn't concern her with him, or the bruises, heading back inside. Yet...
It wasn't in Eire's nature, no matter how he had screwed her over, to not at least worry a little. The bruises looked physcial, as if someone had lashed out... as if...
[10:25:33 PM] Jinx: Phrixos muttered something noncomittal in response to Eire's comment about the storm, already turned towards his house and anxious to be back inside.
In his haste his gait was a bit more limping than he'd have liked, but once his door closed behind him he breathed a sign of relief.
[10:25:53 PM] Jinx: ((You can have Eire do something or skip to the storm, whichever ya like.))

Darkness Hides And Reveals
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [1/14/2012 4:40:32 PM] Yushika: The storm frightened her, more than anything. It had been hours since she had seen that man... now stuck in the house. Her heart thudded, clinging to herself as the thunder raged. Now, more than ever, she wanted her brothers, or her sister-in-law. She was... frightened. It didn't help that the violent storm was getting louder as the night went on, her hands gripping her arms to the point of bruises.
"Brother." The lights flickered, her head raising. Suddenly, they went out. No. Darkness... her heart thudded rapidly. Darkness meant she couldn't see, meant that man could come and she'd never know. Meant she was alone. She hated it.... she was..... A loud scream escaped her throat, perhaps loud enough to hear outside, her hands flying to cover her head, curling her legs against her chest.
[3:35:22 PM] Jinx: Phrixos was sprawled out on his mattress. It was sitting on the floor with a single blanket thrown over it, the frame propped up against the wall and the rest of his bedding in a box somewhere in the living room. He hadn't been able to summon the will to do more than that single blanket, and probably wouldn't have had the strength either.
He stared at the ceiling, listening to the wind rattle the windows and tear at anything it could reach. The room darkened prematurely with the clouds covering the sky, lit by the semi-frequent flashes of lightning. It produced so much thunder it was like the sky was growling.
None of Phrixos' lights were on; he never really turned anything on besides to plug in his fridge. Right as a particularly brilliant flash of lightning struck a high-pitch scream sounded, the end drowned out in a cascade of thunder. Phrixos sat bolt upright, wincing a bit as muscles protested. That sounded like it came next door. Could...?
He wrestled with himself for a moment, then decided he couldn't take /not/ knowing. He pushed himself upright, hobbling to the door. The instant he stepped outside the wind tried to snatch him up. The sky opened and spilled freezing rain as if it had been waiting for him. He was soaked by the time he reached Eire's door. He hesitated, hand on the knob, then turned.
It twisted smoothly under his hand. Unlocked. Phrixos stared at it for a moment, then muttered something under his breath about something to do with girls who didn't know squat about safety. He took a few cautious steps into the dark entry, closing the door behind him and letting his eyes adjust to the light.
"Eire," he called out softly, bracing himself in case this was a trap. "You alright?"
[7:14:50 PM] Yushika: Eire was curled against the wall, her hands around her ears as she hunched down, the sound of the door unlocking only adding to her fear. However, a familar voice rang out. She hid further into the wall, letting out a tiny whimper as she heard footsteps.
What was she to do? Hide? No. More lightening, each flick of light sending a memory of a frightening man grabbing her, sending an image of cruel nails digging into her, of a poisionus smirk watching as her heart hammered. Her heart pounded, fear kicking into her and skin feeling of ice. What was she to do?
The next bolt was loud, the house shaking, enough to cause even another screech from her as her body leapt from where it was, seeking that figure. Immediatly she found them, her arms wrapping around the warm body, desiring something /warm/ to protect her, something alive. It was the man, she knew, the one that had left her, and yet she allowed it to be him, her terror beyond clear thought.
[7:36:16 PM] Jinx: Phrixos hissed in pain as Eire wrapped her arms around him, his cracked ribs and various bruises protesting loudly at the pressure. He wrapped his own arms about Eire, ready to pry her off in case she was about to cause any more damage to his battered body but trying to be gentle about it. He didn't want to startle Eire into hurting him either.
"Heard you scream," he said through clenched teeth. "Came to check on you. Can you loosen your hold, it hurts." It wasn't just his injuries, though that was most of it. Some was that he hadn't been taking care of himself at all.
He still bathed and kept clean, refusing to allow himself to wallow in filth, but he didn't eat nearly often as was healthy and going to the mailbox was the most exercise he got in a day. His long hair desperately needed to be brushed, a few tangled strands hanging loose and framing his face, falling into his eyes.
[5:04:06 PM] Yushika: She moved away rapidly, hitting the wall nearby accidentantly. Slowly, she slid down into a sitting poistion, drawing her legs up to her chest. She couldn't see the man in the dark, only could hear his voice, and it sounded pained. Slowly, she rested her chin on her knee caps, letting out a sharp cry as lightening and thunder flicked into the air, the house shaking.
Why? Why was this man here? Why? Eyes flicked open gently, narrowing rapidly into the dark. She was usually gentle and kind, and yet now, agigated by the storm, she was growing severly tense. This man was here, did that mean.....
So was /he/?
[5:23:03 PM] Jinx: Phrixos reached out a hand to steady himself against the wall, letting out a thin cough. His other arm moved as though to wrap around his middle and hold his ribs but he stopped and let it hang by his side.
For a few moments there was only the sound of the storm and two sets of harsh breathing.
Finally, "Just wanted to make sure you were alright. I'll go now." He tried to push the pain back and gather himself up to move.
[5:39:19 PM] Yushika: Her hand darted out before he could move, gripping the edge of his shirt gently. "Please." Even if he was a monster, even if he had left her alone.... she didn't wish to be alone. Why did she move here? To avoid /him/? Yes....but now she regretted it. Away from Tithe, away from Adonis.... she was alone. And now this man, this familiar beast lived beside her. And yet, despite her pain, anger, and hurt she clung to his shirt. She did not wish to be alone.
"Please, don't go."
[5:54:35 PM] Jinx: Phrixos stopped. If he was going to be honest with himself he wasn't entirely sure he could make it back to his house, not with the storm like it was. He should have wrapped his ribs after he realized they were cracked, but he'd been so indifferent about it...
After a few more moments of silence, "Okay." He leaned with his back against the wall, trying to keep his legs underneath him and his breathing under control. He put his head against the wall, facing the ceiling with his eyes closed.
"Just...don't hold onto me like that again please."
[6:13:08 PM] Yushika: When he agreed she almost heaved a sigh of relief, nodding as she leaned further into her legs. Should she thank him? .... She wasn't sure anymore, wasn't sure if he not only to thank him or if to even ackowledge him. Yet.... shifting, she could swear she saw marks on him when lightening flashed, though perhaps it was the light...
"..... Why..." She stopped, shaking her head. No. Asking why he moved here was dumb. Biting the bottom of her lip, she moved away from him as her heart seemed to frantically pump faster, realizing finally that not only had he abandoned her, but... he could be dangerous.
Yet, hadn't he taken her to his house? Hadn't he....cared for her? "Why did you take me to your home, before?"
[6:37:02 PM] Jinx: Phrixos opened his eyes, staring up at the ceiling and feeling like a lead weight was in his chest.
"Does it matter," he asked, then chuckled tonelessly. He stopped, slightly out of breath. "I was scared," he said, voice so neutral he might have been talking about someone else. "I allowed myself to be provoked, and I ran. If I'd been thinking, if I knew you better and didn't just misunderstand... Maybe it could have ended differently."
Phrixos closed his eyes, silent for a moment and trying to catch his breath, forcing himself to remain still and keep from holding at his chest. Then, quietly, "Differently, but a bad ending would have happened eventually. There won't always be someone to save you, and it just takes one time...." He forced down a bit of panic that surged through his body, reminding himself the past couldn't hurt him...
He gave another short, toneless laugh. "Doubt that matters to you. Apologies change nothing and don't take away any of the horror you suffer."
[7:01:01 PM] Yushika: Her head raised, body stiffening. "What do you mean by misunderstand?" She breathed, fingers gently touching her hair for comfort, flicking strands between thumb and index finger. Lightening bolted again and she covered her ears, a low whine escaping her, choked back. She was becoming quieter and quieter at each strike of lightening..... thank dieites.
Removing her hands from her ears, she shook her head, eyes lowering. "It does matter." She whispered quietly, looking down to the ground. "Apologies may not change anything, but they are worth saying."
[7:14:44 PM] Jinx: Phrixos opened his eyes again and looked down, glancing at Eire then looking back at the ceiling. "The misunderstanding that I thought you could see what I saw. When you lose your innocent view of the world, you forget how innocence sees."
A particularly bright flash of lightning threw Phrixos into high relief, followed immediately by deafening thunder. He flinched from the bright light and hissed in pain as the sudden movement made his body protest, hanging his head and letting stray bangs hide his face.
[7:21:17 PM] Yushika: Her head turned to look at him, nails digging his her palms. Was that how it was? "You thought.... I knew?" She whispered, gritting her teeth. "That I'd let that man do those things?" Horror struck her face, however, as lightening struck she saw his features, hand reaching out and stopping.
She was right. He looked sick. Moving from her position, she pushed back his bangs from his forehead, lifting them upwards as she lowered her face to see his. "Phrixos, that is your name, right?" She asked, red eyes locking on his. Releasing his bangs, she stood, heading for the kitchen.
[7:35:50 PM] Jinx: Phrixos met Eire's eyes for a moment, then looked to the side. He would have pulled away, but she'd released him and was already moving away. A blush stained his cheeks.
He didn't want anyone to know about this. He'd tried so had to become strong, and in the end it hadn't been enough. He was weak, and some scum had broken him. Of course he didn't want anyone to know...
Without reazling it his arm had moved up to finally curl around his side. He ducked his head again, trying to hide his face behind his bangs even though Eire had already seen. Maybe he was hoping she hadn't looked close enough, and wouldn't if he willed it hard enough.
"This-this is a bad idea," he said, shaking his head and taking a stumbling step. "I shouldn't be here. I-," he stopped, pressing his forehead against the wall.
[7:44:56 PM] Yushika: As he began to move away she returend with a cup of water, spotting his position. "A bad idea?" She questioned gently. "Why?" She moved closer, pushing the cup into his hands, grabbing his fingers, and closing them around the cup, looking at his head against the wall. "You said you'd stay..." She whispered, fully intending on using that to her advantage. He didn't look well.... Now that she thought about it she rarely saw anyone go in or out of that house....
"Phrixos." Since he hadn't corrected her earlier that must be his name, her hand gripping his free one and tugging gently, ever so gently. "Lie down on the couch, please? I'll stop harassing you, promise."
[7:50:34 PM] Jinx: ((Which hand did which? He's got arm wrapped around his ribs with his hand curled around his side, and one arm hanging free with his hand dangling.))
[7:52:16 PM] Yushika: (( She moved the arm wrapped around his ribs, thats the one she pulled to take to the couch-
[8:06:41 PM] Jinx: Phrixos' hand seized tightly on Eire's. He forced himself to relax it, shame briefly chasing away alarm. He had to loosen his grip on the glass as well, afraid he would shatter it.
"This....getting involved with me. Didn't end so well last time, remember," he said, keeping his face pressed to the wall. For a few breathes he was silent.
"You don't need.....to see me like this," he said quietly from behind the curtain of his hair. "Just...don't."
[8:15:26 PM] Yushika: She stopped when he grabbed her hand, quiet as she listened. Gritting her teeth, absolute fury reached her usually gentle face, wrenching her hand away. "Knock it off." She suddenly growled, head shaking. "It wasn't you." She snapped back, memories flicking into her mind, cringing. "It wasn't your fault. You said before you didn't know, right? Unless you lied. Unless you wanted him to hurt me. But, I'm going off what you said. Innocence, you thought I wanted his advances. Perhaps you weren't so observant, perhaps. But,"
She eyed him with narrow eyes, touching his wrist again. "Maybe it didn't end well, but I can see you're hurt, too. Something happened to you, and I won't ask what. But, you helped me, right? It's rude to think I'd just let you stay here, not well, when you went out of your way to take care of me."
Her features softened, lifting the curtain of hair so her eyes met his. "Phrixos. Come to the couch. I know you have honor, most men do, such a silly thing. So, all I'll do is make you drink the water and you can rest. You said you'd stay, please don't go."
[8:31:39 PM] Jinx: Phrixos flinched and looked away. Slowly he lifted his head, still trying to keep his loose hair as a barrier, and moved even more slowly towards the couch, each step deliberate. Still trying to hide the extent of his wounds
Eire might have thought his desire to hide from her was an issue of honor, or pride. Perhaps that was part of it, and would have been all of it had it been anyway else. But this was Eire.
This could have been her. Would have been, if he wasn't there. He didn't want her to experience any more horror than she already had, nor did he want pity...
He finally reached the couch and slowly sank down on it. The glass of water balanced on his knee, sharing the space with his wrist with his arm held close to his side. More hair escaped his depleted ponytail, hiding his face further.
[8:37:27 PM] Yushika: Eire followed him, hands extended just in case he fell. She sank into the ground by his legs, resting her head on her arm which she propped onto the couch. "Thank you." She mused, yawning slightly. She watched him curiously, hand reaching out to undo his pony tail, sitting up more so she could reach. She failed, having to stand, moving so she was in-front of him as she touched his hair gently, pulling it back into a pony-tail once more, then sitting back down.
"You can sleep, I don't mind." She added, yawning once more. As more lightening flashed she twitched, pressing into the couch from the floor, worry on her face. "Doesn't the storm...scare you?"
[8:46:44 PM] Jinx: Phrixos smiled tiredly despite himself. "I can't," he said simply in response to Eire's offer to let him sleep.
His jaw tensed as more lightning flashed, turning his face away to look out the window and pulling his limbs closer to his body. "Storms never scared me," he said, watching rain lash the glass. "My family's what you might call extreme. We're hard to scare."
[8:50:29 PM] Yushika: Twitching closer to herself, she wrapped her arms around her legs. "Oh." Was all she said, covering her ears as another flash rang out. "I.... I lost my family for a bit." She whispered, fear in her voice. "They vanished and I was alone. It was a storm when I lost them, it seperated me from my siblings and parents..." Her nails dug into her skin, drawing blood faintly as the storm seemed to hit it's peek, violently shaking the house.
"Storms always made me remember that time, and now, it's making me remember another." She narrowed her eyes at the ground, shaking her head. "You're lucky to not be frightened." She added, drawing her chin onto her knees. "Yet, everyone has a fear..."
[9:00:45 PM] Jinx: Phrixos glanced down at Eire as she spoke. She pulled at his heart, this tiny woman that had so much sadness and misfortune yet still found room inside herself to care.
His whole family would have scoffed at the idea of being scared of a storm, but then his family was the kind that was hard to intimidate. There was only one thing that scared his family. Even his mother, though she'd never admit to it and it wasn't her /main/ fear.
"I already know what I'm scared of," Phrixos said, looking back out the window. He brought the glass up to his face and took a tip of the water, but after neglecting his body for so long it wasn't wise to push more than small portions of anything.
[9:04:53 PM] Yushika: She didn't press further, nodding gently. However, as the storm range she twitched each time. The storm paused, long enough for her tired eyes to close and head to begin to lean to the side, until, finally, sleep overcame her, and by the next time thunder vibrated her head was leaning against Phrixos' leg, arms drooped against the ground, and hair covering her face.
Perhaps later she would thank the storm. This man she so feared, this man that she held a grudge against... perhaps he was not the monster she had thought he was. And if this storm had never happened she would never have discovered this truth.

Why
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [9:36:06 PM] Jinx: Phrixos was laying on his bed, a thin sheet in disarray around him that hardly covered him at all. His blood-red locks were splayed around him and he was covered in a light sheen of sweat, causing his bangs to stick to his face. His breathing was rapid and shallow. He seemed to be sleeping but not pleasantly, a frown marring his face, his eyes moving rapidly under the closed lids and he occasionally let out a soft mumble.
It had been a week since the storm knocked out the neighborhood's power. He'd stayed while Eire slept and watched her, listening to the storm until it died and was replaced with gentle rain. He'd left in the morning after Eire woke up, weak daylight trickling through the windows and cutting through the darkness that hid him. Power had come back later that day, sometime while he was forced to nap.
Phrixos was both better and worse. The bruises had started to heal, the smallest faded away and the large ones a brown-yellow instead of blue-black. Scratches were slowly healing, muscles and ligaments had time to heal and rest. His ribs still pained him when he moved, but it was less than the agony it had been before.
But he still wasn't taking care of himself. His ribs would have healed quicker if he wrapped them, but he couldn't do it himself because of the pain and he refused to ask for help. Scratches that should have faded to pink lines still sported scabs. His body couldn't heal as fast because he wasn't giving it what it needed. He'd always been in excellent shape, but every spare scrap of fat he'd had was gone. His muscles were still there and still held definition; after a lifetime of honing it would take longer for those to waste away, but already his flesh clung tightly to his bones and gave him an unhealthy look.
Phrixos had persisted in hiding it all from Eire. After the storm she'd shown a bit more interest in him, and he had to be more careful when he left his house. He was sure she was already suspcious, but hoped baggy clothing would continue to fool her.
He wasn't suicidal, didn't plan to waste away into nothing even if he was already well on that path. If, sometime in the future, anyone ever asked him why, he would have said the simplest answer was he was clinging to life with no interest in joining it. He had a will to live or would have already died, but he couldn't find a why. Why should he get up? Why should he eat more than the bare minimum? Why? He had no answer.
[9:42:17 PM] Yushika: She stood before his door nervously, arms gripping the basket of food and water to her chest. What was she going to do? Ring the doorbell.... of....of course. He looked sick, and those baggy clothing...
Ever since he vanished in the morning she had fretted and worried. Cooking was all she could do to ease her mind, and she ended up making way to much. Would he see it as fake, though? Wasn't that the ultimate way to force yourself on your neighbor? Make "to much" and shove it on them?
....... Fine! Quickly, she rang the doorbell twice and darted behind a tree in his yard, bright red eyes peering out, watching the door.
.... This wasn't creepy at all....
[9:56:10 PM] Jinx: The sound of the doorbell jerked Phrixos out of his uneasy sleep. He lay there for a moment, shivering and burning by turns. Sleep had was almost always plagued by nightmares now, a horrible prison he would gladly give up and /did/ give up until his body reached its limit.
Slowly he dragged himself upright, whimpering a little as he jostled his ribs. Amazing how less than a month ago he would have despised the weakness of his body and mind, yet now all he felt was a kind of numbness.
Staggering upright he stepped forward, leaning heavily on the wall. He paused at the end of the hall, trying to gather his legs underneath himself; there was no wall to help him to the front door. He took a step forward, trembling, then another. One more, away from the wall, step by step.
He only made it halfway. Phrixos' legs gave out and he barely had the energy to keep from bashing his skull against the floor. He stirred on the ground, gathering his arms to him and making a token attempt to push up, only to collapse again.
He lay there, breath shallow, unable to even muster the will to be alarmed. He was so tired yet he fought the darkness gathering to pull him under, for nothing but terror awaited. Briefly he wondered if even the darkness of death would bring relief.
A soft, breathy chuckle escaped him. Oooh, if his family could see him now. His mother would probably be disgusted with his weakness, his father would probably be pissed. His sibs would probably range somewhere between disgusted and pissed. They'd never let him hear the end of it, that much was for sure.
[10:01:07 PM] Yushika: When the door didn't open she tilted her head out further. Was he...home? Was he alive? What if... what if he died?! Oh god! He was sick, she had noticed that! What if he was rotting away?! Worry hit her heart, moving towards the door, banging on it with her hand.
"Phrixos?!" She cried out, fear in her voice. "Are you okay? Are you alive? Phrixos? I... you were sick... a few nights ago... have you taken care of yourself?!" What if he hadn't.... oh god...
[10:13:19 PM] Jinx: A voice reached his ears, seeming far away. Eire? Life flickered briefly in his black eyes. He started to attempt to push himself up, then his body froze as though a heavy weight settled on him. Another breathy laugh escaped, this one with a slightly hysterical edge to it, and a single tear fell from his eye when he blinked and landed on the floor.
Could he do anything right? It seemed no matter which was he turned, he was hurting Eire. Part of him wanted to open that door, to reassure her and stop that edge of panic he heard. But if she saw him, how much more would he hurt her? Another tear fell and Phrixos clenched his hands into fists, teeth gritted in distressed frustration.
What should he do?
[10:18:14 PM] Yushika: "Phrixos." Eire whimpered slightly, afraid to touch the doorknob. Was it unlocked? Would he be angry if she just...opened it? A thump made her jump. He was home! This renewed her worry, hitting the door again. "If you're hurt, I can call 911. At least you're alive. If, I'm annoying you just say so... I made.... food. To much. Some of it is for you, if you'd...like."
[10:26:31 PM] Jinx: Alarm shot through Phrixos, the spike of adrenaline giving him the strength to find his feet and stumble to the door. His fingers trembled almost violently as he twisted the lock, but he got it open.
His shoulder was against the door and supporting him while he worked the lock, so to open the door he had to take his weight again. He managed, but even with the adrenaline his limbs trembled and he seemed short of breath, waist-length hair hanging in lank curtains around his face.
He braced one arm against the front door frame and held the door knob tightly with his other hand. "Don't you dare," he commanded in a breathy voice through the foot-wide gap, sunken black eyes fierce as he looked at Eire. "Don't....you dare.....call...the damn....cops." He coughed and a wave of dizziness flooded through him as he fought for breath. Was he sick as well as weak? Did it even matter?
[10:28:35 PM] Yushika: "Phrixos!" She didn't think before she moved forward and hugged him tight. "You aren't dead!" She moved away, frowning abruptly. "Though your manners may as well be." Her hand touches his forhead, sharply jerking back. She matched his look with her own fierce stare.
"You have treated your body horribly. Come." Without inviting herself in, she took his arm, drapped it around her shoulder, and gripped the basket tightly. "Lead me to your bedroom or couch. You need serious maintance."
[10:37:14 PM] Jinx: Phrixos instantly fell down to his knees. He would have hit the floor again, if he hadn't been facing the wall. He only barely heard Eire but couldn't answer her. It was a miracle he hadn't blacked out from the pain in his ribs when he'd hugged him like that. For a moment he'd forgotten how to breath. He had to take shallow, rasping breaths; anything else hurt too much.
[10:38:41 PM] Yushika: At his collapse she yelped, shock rushing in her eyes. Oh. Well. This.. "I... I'll call the doctor, just wait here." She yelped, setting the basket down and making a move to go for his phone, wherever it was.
[10:49:10 PM] Jinx: Phrixos' hand darted out and grapped Eire's wrist in an iron grip. "No," he pushed the word out as forcefully as he good, eyes closed and brown wrinkled in a ferocious frown. "Doctors...ask questions. They'll....find things. Ask...more questions. Can't....can't..-"
His grip tightened fractionally and he turned his head sideways, cheek pressed against the wall and black eyes glinting with an undefinable emotion. "Some things....can't reveal. Only...make it worse." He started coughing again and had to release Eire's wrist, planting his freed hand on the floor to keep himself on his knees.
"Promise," he gasped, looking down at the floor. "Promise....won't call..."
[10:51:10 PM] Yushika: She winced when his grip tightened, however stayed where she was, watching him. Slowly, she moved closer to him, eyes narrowing at him. "Only if you let me be your doctor, then." She said, pressing hair from his eyes. "Then I won't call, I promise."
[11:02:53 PM] Jinx: His arms and upper body started to tremble, and a tear fell from his eye to streak down his face and hit the floor. He chuckled, breathy and weak, closing his eyes. "So.....pathetic," he said, still chuckling, and despite his closed eyes more tears began to leak through. "Can't...win...no matter....what I..do." His hand on the floor clenched into a fist, the skin stretching tightly over the bones.
"Bedroom....down..hall. On...left."
[11:08:13 PM] Yushika: His tear made her raise her hand, whiping them away. "You're winning." Was all she said gently, quietly, as she lifted him and staggered, almost falling over. However, he was lighter than needed to be, so, despite his size she managed to get him to the bedroom, flop him on the bed.
"Okay. Stay here." She ran away, returning with a bowl of warm soup and smiling at the man gently. "Food. I'm going to feed you only a little, so you're body doesn't freak out, okay?"
[11:21:19 PM] Jinx: "Can't sit up," Phrixos said, voice still quiet but some of his breath returning. He gestured weakly at his torso. "Some cracked ribs. Can't support my upper body properly, so it hurts to sit up."
He let his hand fall back to the bed, eyes flicking up to the ceiling. "Couldn't even eat half that anyway." He looked back at Eire. "I haven't.....haven't really had an appetite."
[11:23:03 PM] Yushika: Shaking her head, her eyes narrowed at him. "I'll only give you three bites, okay? Then, I'll give you a sponge bath, and then wrap your torso. After that I'll work on cleaning your house a bit." With this, she scooped a little soup into her spoon and pressed it to Phrixos' lips, smiling warmly.
[11:29:41 PM] Jinx: Phrixos felt a tiny smile tug at the corners of his mouth at Eire's sassy reply. He parted his lips and allowed her to tilt the spoonful of warm liquid in his mouth. Swallowing was difficult from this position, especially when he didn't really feel like eating, but he tried and succeeded in getting three spoonfuls down.
((Wanna do like maybe a tiny time skip? Eire's reflecting on Phrix's condition (and maybe that sponge bath >;3) while she's cleaning. Phrix is napping, has a nightmare, etc.?))
[11:30:16 PM] Yushika: (( Oki doki! You got it! ))
[11:30:34 PM] Jinx: ((Yay! Cause I has a kinda plot about that XD >3))
[11:32:15 PM] Yushika: So. Eire had bitten off more than she could chew. Her blush was dark, hands shaking as she cleaned the area around the sleeping mans bed. Oh... his chest was rather.... NNNNN. Shaking her head, long hair flipped over her shoulder, falling in lazy grey strands. She was going to die if she kept remembering how.... toned? Toned he was. Sure, he was severly under weight, but he still had a nice figure. And, those eyes that watched her briefly, she was starting to become nervous whenever they fell on her.
"Hmpf. He finally slept, though. I feel like he'll be more grumpy when he's healed more..." Yet, that thought made a tug at her lips into a light smile. She'd be prepared~
[11:47:55 PM] Jinx: Eire had made good on that threat of a sponge bath. Weak as he was, he still found the energy to be mildly amused. Eire had blushed like crazy the entire time, especially after meeting his curious eyes. She'd been quite gentle when she helped him sit and wrapped his ribs with the bandages he had in his bathroom, and honestly it /did/ feel better to have the sweat off him.
Deities, he was going to owe this chick so much...
His body had demanded sleep, and Phrixos relucatantly gave in. Maybe with Eire around, he could escape his nightmares. Just one night would do wonders. So he allowed healing darkness to pull him under.
[Floating in darkness. Suddenly he's in a room. He hurts so much, can feel blood flowing from a cut on his head. Tries to wipe it away, but his arms are tied. Suddenly aware his legs are tied too. Panic starts to set in. A face suddenly blocks his vision. Red hair, red eyes, a cruel smile. A purring voice, rich, but he shudders at the sound of it. "Oh good, you're awake again. I already have everything prepared, I was getting bored. We can pick right up where we left off." That face, moving closer. Hands roaming his body, nails digging into his flesh. Hurting him, claiming him...]
Remembered pain mingled with real pain as Phrixos thrashed on the bed, trying to "free" himself. He cried out wordlessly in such a blend of emotions it would be impossible to pick any one out. What was real and what wasn't? He couldn't tell, he just couldn't tell anymore.
[1/29/2012 11:56:59 PM] Yushika: Thrashing. He was thrashing, and crying out. She dropped what she was doing, heading for the man and touching his cheek. She did the only thing she could think of, crawling into his bed, sitting, and gently pulling him into her lap, stroking his head.
As a child, before the seperation, her mother would do this for her when she was scared. Though she was awake, she was sure that this, if anything, could at least stop the thrashing from Phrixos. Gently, she moved hair from his eyes, smiling at the man.
Hurt. He was hurt, and yet she didn't know how or why. Though, she wouldn't ask until he told her, if ever. Leaning over, she kissed his forehead, humming in her throat. This man was not the man she had thought he was. Quietly, she hummed the tune of a lullaby, stroking his hair as she watched him. Hopefully he wouldn't lash out, or wake and attack her.
[12:09:39 AM] Jinx: ((He's going to be....a teeny bit violent in reaction. Nothing that would leave more than a bruise, and not even a bad one. Mostly it'll just be a bit of a scare. That alright?))
[12:10:02 AM] Yushika: (( Kk. ))
[12:26:39 AM] Jinx: Someone grabbing him, touching him...
Speed was an inherant trait in his family. Phrixos struck out and hit nothing but air. His hands came up and seized on those touching him, his eyes flying open.
Black eyes, another family trait. Anyone who'd met Lamia could testify how frightening black eyes were when they were empty. There was nothing in Phrixos' eyes, no recognition, no emtion. He was simply lashing out at a percieved danger.
Red eyes
His hand lunged forward, seizing around throat, fingers firm and thumb ready to crush all the delicate workings. All his frailness, all his lack of strength, gone in face of the animalistic energy of one fighting for their life.
Those empty black eyes stared into the red ones for the longest time while Phrixos took in short gasps of air, chest heaving under the bandages.
Slowly, without visible prompting, his hand holding one of Eire's wrists relaxed. The hand encircling her throat shifted, thumb sliding up her chin and along her jaw, brushing her cheek as his fingers turned gentle against the back of her neck.
All at once a look of utter horror flooded Phrixos' face, awareness flooding back into his eyes. He snatched his hand away as though Eire had burned him, and rolled on his side. He sat up on the edge of the bed and used it to push himself into a sitting position, stumbling into an almost run to the nearest corner. His back slammed into the wall and he sank down, head hidden in his arms. He welcomed the new pain from this movement, he deserved it.
"Why? Why the hell am I always hurting you?" He looked at at Eire, eyes bright and full of self-loathing when they found her throat. He looked away. "I ******** deserved this, every bit of it, for just..." His voice hitched and he trailed off. "Hell, I'd ******** deserve to go to a hospital. Let the doctors ask all their stupid questions, get all the stupid paperwork leading a trail right to me, and have that b*****d find me and hurt me all over again." He glanced at Eire then looked away, a tear of helpless anger running down his cheek. "Why can't I ever stop hurting you," he exploded, the buried his face in his arms.
[12:37:28 AM] Yushika: To say she wasn't afraid would be a lie. Her eyes widened in absolute fear, images of a man that wasn't Phrixos flashing in her head. Her scream was cut off, terror as the memory faded and all she saw, for once, was empty black eyes staring at her. Her body went stiff, hands flying up to touch the hands around her neck, weakly trying to pry them off. When they released her she touched her neck, hunching over as tears formed and fell, fear striking her numb.
Those eyes. They had nothing in them. They were not his eyes, she told herself, trembling as she held her neck. Those eyes were lifeless, broken, numb. Perhaps that was what scared her the most. Not the hands around her throat, ready to end her small life there. Not his sudden strength that could crush her. No.
Those eyes.
What if she came here and found him lying there, cold and lifeless. Would his eyes be like that? Would she see those empty orbs? Slowly, she looked at Phrixos, numb to the core as he spoke. No. She didn't know why her heart hurt, why she wanted to scream at the image of his lifeless body, of his eyes. She didn't. Yet, as he yelled and blamed himself all she did was stare, and then finally she rose from the bed, approaching him.
"You don't deserve it." She whispered, thought she looked absolutetly lifeless as she walked to him. "Someone hurt you." She said, and suddenly it clicked. "He hurt you. Abaddon." She kneeled before him, still empty as she kneeled. "He did horrible things to you. Hurt you. Abused you."
Slowly, she reached out, touching his cheek gently with her hand. "You didn't deserve the pain he brought to you. You never did. You never will. You attacked me out of fear, the conditions of your life made you this way. But it isn't your fault, Phrixos." Slowly, she leanded forward, closer to him, unafraid as finally she focused on him. "And, no matter how much you blame yourself I won't. You never meant to hurt me. I won't ever hold a grudge against you again." With this, she lifted his head, moving hair from his eyes.
"He hurt us both, and scarred us both. Can't we rely on one another? I'm not going to blame you for earlier, and I'll say it every night, every day, every hour if I must. You don't deserve this." With that, she kissed his cheek gently, touching his hands with her own as she tugged gently.
"Now, come to bed. I need to fix your bandages and then you can sleep, if you can."
[12:52:18 AM] Jinx: Phrixos' breathing was unsteady. He squeezed his eyes shut, thin tracks of salt water running down his cheeks. His throat worked like he was trying to speak, or maybe stay silent.
He allowed Eire to lead him back to his bed and sat while she examined his bandages fixing them. Finally he broke the silence.
"I can't sleep, Eire. Everytime I try, everytime I close my eyes,-" he shut his eyes, shaking his head. "I relive it all. Everything he did. Everything he /said/." Phrixos shuddered, hiding his face in his hands. "How can I sleep if I have to wonder what I'll find next time I wake up." He lifted his eyes and looked around at Eire, eyes haunted. "I almost /killed/ you."
[12:55:26 AM] Yushika: "Almost. But you didn't. You stopped." She looked at him, watched him, and slowly she touched her neck. "I trust you, Phrixos. You stopped. Something inside you made you stop. Yes, you may lash out again, but I trust the side of you that stops."
Gently, she slipped into the bed, gently, very gently so as to not hurt him, she snuggled closer to him, nervously looking at him with large red eyes. "I heard sometimes when you can't sleep having someone beside you helps. I'll stay right here, awake. I can look out for you, and you can sleep knowing I'm here, someone warm and alive. And, if he comes I'll scream." Reaching out, she brushed more hair from his face, smiling warmly. "And I won't take no for an answer."
[12:55:47 AM] Yushika: (( I never expected she could be so sweet. D: ))
[12:58:09 AM] Jinx: ((Have her spread some of that sweetness my way would you, Phrixos wants to kill me for have him hurt Eire, even if it was due to a night terror > _>))
[12:58:26 AM] Yushika: (( DAW. But it got her to snuggle to him? ))
[12:59:15 AM] Jinx: ((Yup, that was my plan b=u=))
[12:59:32 AM] Yushika: (( Lol. :3 ))
[12:59:46 AM] Jinx: ((Oh, is she inside his arms or is she holding him?))
[1:00:13 AM] Yushika: (( mmm. She wiggled closer to him, so most likely inside his arms. Though she's not touching his chest at all. Paranoid of hurting him. ))
[1:07:55 AM] Jinx: Phrixos' breath caught in his throat. Seriously with all the weird breathing stuff he was doing today his lungs probably wanted to quit and find a new body.
For a long time he just watched her, black against red, searching. Finally he seemed to find whatever it was he was looking for. He closed his eyes. "Alright." He opened his eyes, and something in them had changed. If black had never looked warm and delicately tender before, it did now.
He closed his eyes again, and just like that dropped back into sleep.
A voice is coming, but when he hears it it wasn't what he expected. "Phrixos, it's alright. You're safe, I won't let him hurt you." Such a sweet, beautiful voice. Red eyes, but soft, gentle. So full of kindness. His wounds heal, the blood is gone. He hurts no more. He floats in gentle, healing darkness, with those kind red eyes and that sweet voice guarding him.]
[1:08:26 AM] Jinx: ((And now he's like Edward Cullen and Bella. He /can't/ hurt Eire, it would practically kill him to do so > _> ))
[1:08:49 AM] Yushika: (( .... Cutest. Couple. Ever. Not Edward and Bella. Ick. Phrixos and Eire <3 ))

Pancakes?
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [1:22:13 AM] Jinx: Warm. Phrixos felt so warm. Pain? The pain that had been his constant companion was....gone?
Phrixos opened his eyes and was instantly confronted by a head covered silver-gray hair. He froze, tensing, and discovered a couple things. One, the pain was /not/ gone. Not all the way, anyway. The heat must have relaxed his muscles. Two, he was /starving/ and his body was making it known now that he was awake! Three (and arguably the most important realization, to his way of thinking), he was holding someone in his arms. Like the serious, one-arm-over-waist-other-arm-circled-under-body-and-grasping-his-over-arm, body-pull-right-up-against-his-bandaged-yet-otherwise-bare-chest, legs-somehow-interwined, /serious/ holding. Once he managed to process that much, events from last night came flooding back and the /someone/ he was holding turned into the /Eire/ he was holding.
Oh hell...
Don't get him wrong. It was actually very pleasant, and he hadn't felt this rested and purely content in weeks. Hell, try months or even years. But he clearly remembered a near miss with death on Eire's part (he still cringed at that memory and would probably always hate himself for it), a total breakdown, then.....
Oh....hell....
[1:27:00 AM] Yushika: Shifting, gentle shifting. Eire let out a tiny whine from where she was, arms moving to rub her eyes as she proceeded to remain close, just for now. Warm. Oh. It was a good warm, too. And she felt as if she was being held, a safe feeling. The kind of feeling that made you feel protected and that nothing could hurt you. However, the groggy woman took only a few minutes to finally open red eyes, blinking as light attacked her, and moving to stretch, stopping when her movement was restricted. Eh?
Oh.
A large blush crept across her cheeks and nose, eyes looking up to meet Phrixos. She hadn't meant to sleep! She was supposed to watch out for him! And... and.... their /legs/ were entertwined! And his arms! Her blush darkened, her mouth becoming a nervous smile. "G-Good m-morning." Ah. Words. She could use them. During even darker, bright hot embarrassment flooded through her as she realized he was /looking/ at her. Oh god. So, to hide from his eyes the first thing she did was shove her face into his chest, move her hands over her eyes, and close her eyes.
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fall asleep..."
[1:37:17 AM] Jinx: Phrixos was glad to see Eire's blush. It certainly beat a yelling and a**-whooping. He didn't know if Eire had that in her, but her gun-toting sister-in-law probably would take a fiendish delight in it if Eire called her.
That, and, well... Come on, he was just a man! It was....perfectly natural...when one had a beautiful woman in one's arms....to....ya know....well....
/'Aaaaand this is about to get a lot more embarassing,'/ Phrixos thought with a touch of his old humor, a touch of pink lighting up his cheeks and spilling across his nose. He quickly opened his arms and lifted his legs a bit.
"It's fine, turns out I didn't have a nightmare anyway. You'll have to...errrm, disengauge. I still can't move very well." He resoluately looked up at the ceiling, trying to fill his mind with the familiar patterns and ignore the warmth of Eire against his skin. Bandages didn't block feeling as well as clothes, it seemed...
[1:40:03 AM] Yushika: Eire was not quite as understanding as one would hope, sitting up when he moved away to look at him, hair falling in a messy fashion in her face. "Do you hurt?" She asked, touching his chest, her blush still apparent but slowly fading. Suddenly worry touched her face, heart skipping a beat.
Whenever she hugged him he winced or let out a sound! So.... holding her.... "How do you feel, Phrixos?" She asked in worry, head tilting. "I can tighten your bandages if they got loose. Or make you breakfast."
[1:48:13 AM] Jinx: "Actually the....erhm, heat from you body seems to have acted as a minor pain killer. Whether...ah...I initiated the.....well, anyway," he felt his blush deepen a touch, glancing off to the side now that Eire's face was in view from above. "Looks like that was....erm, gradual enough that it didn't cause pain."
Seriously, how /did/ one describe unintentional snuggling without making it would like unintentional snuggling? Especially unintentionable but certainly not unpleasant snuggling...
"Breakfast-Breakfast would be nice," Phrixos finished, feeling totally lame.
[1:49:57 AM] Yushika: She blinked at him again, looking down. Did he hate waking up with her beside him? Her face paled at that thought. Maybe she was annoying, constantly fretting over him and caring for him. Well.... a determined fire entered her eyes as she looked at him.
"Annoying or not, I won't stop!" She suddenly blurted. Not until he was better! She'd keep caring for him until he was better. Gently she patted his shoulder before darting off, heading for his kitchen and searching for the bare essentials, then realized the little basket she had brought over.
Well. Automatic food~
[2:00:56 AM] Jinx: Phrixos just sat there, totally bemused. What the heck had that been about? Where'd that part about annoying come from? Cautiously he moved his limbs, testing his body. For the first time in days he actually /didn't/ want to just lay in his bed and stare at the ceiling, but given how he'd taken care of himself...
He wasn't under any illusions that he was better. This was just the kind of peace that came from being well-rested. He had demons that would take a long time to get rid of, if ever. But for now he felt like he had a....reason for getting up.
Mostly to make sure Eire didn't have to root through all his things. He had basic applicances that came with the house, but everything he brought with him when he moved from his apartment was still in the boxes. Not that there were a lot, but he could direct Eire to the right ones. There was a couch in the living room, just off the kitchen, so he could rest there.
He was unpleasantly surprised to find how weak he was as he stood. It wasn't even his ribs so much as several malnutrition. Well he /had/ been going through living hell and no sleep. Still...
He was glad he could at least manage the trip from his bedroom to the couch in the living room, though he was totally exhausted by the time he got there and his legs threatened to give with each step.
[2:03:51 AM] Yushika: Good. She had packed breakfast food. Smiling pleasantly, she hummed as she located the microwave. Hm. Plopping the omelette down onto a plate and pushing it into the microwave she set it for a minute, frowning as she stepped back.
"I know I cooked this last night, but I feel like just microwaving isn't good enough." Turning, she nodded. "Well. He /must/ have pancake batter, right?" Poking around the cupboard, she had to stand on her tip-toes to barely reach the top cupboard, grumbling softly.
"Phrixossssss. Do you have pancake batter?"
[2:11:18 AM] Jinx: Phrixos stared at the ceiling, most of his hair tossed over the back of the couch, twisting one strand of black-tipped blood-red between his fingers. Pancake batter? When was the last time he ate a pancake?
"Doubt it," he said, voice normal speaking tone since it hurt to speak loud. He tried to pitch it as best he could. "Everything perishable went into the fridge, and I've just been living off that." There was probably half a bottle of ketchup left in the fridge at this point. Condiments for dinner, odd but actually it worked considering his ability to handle solid foods had began severly degrading at lack of proper eating habits.
"Check the box on the floor by that bar thingy. Island, whatever. All my nonperishables are there. Don't think there's anything you could use though."
[2:11:38 AM] Jinx: ((XD He's like, "What, food? In this house? Psh, uh huh.))
[2:15:24 AM] Yushika: Nodding, she did as was told, horrified. Immediatly, she stormed into the room he was in, pointed at him, and shook her head. "No! When you get better I'm taking you to the grocery store! You cannot live off ketchup and saltines!" Worry struck across her face once more, large eyes watching him. "And if you die I'll cry. End of story."
Ah, it seemed his prescence made the girl more talkative, and more sure of herself, storming off back into the kitchen to take the omellete out, frowning. Well. Fine. He'd get only this, then she'd cook a storm at her house! Yes! Happily approaching the couch, she extended her arms to show off the meal for him.
"Until then, I'll cook for you everyday~"
[2:21:56 AM] Jinx: Phrixos laughed through his nose, amusement pulling one corner of his mouth up into a crooked grin. "Promise I won't be much trouble. I won't be able to handle more than small portions of anything for at least a week."
He eyed the omlette. Honestly it smelled delicious and his body chose that moment to remind him it wanted food. Now! He knew from experience though no matter how hungry he felt, if he tried eating like he normally would he'd probably get sick.
"Constant reheating isn't good for food. I've got plates in the box over there, and probably silverware," he said, pointing to a box sitting where the kitchen met the living room. "Half of that would be my limit. You should have the other half, while it's still fresh. You are a breakfast-eater, right?"
One never knew. Some people couldn't /stand/ eating after they first woke up.
[2:23:51 AM] Yushika: Head tilting, she sat on the floor, not daring to sit beside him less it take his personal space, and handed it to him. "Sometimes." Setting the plate on his lap, she ran off to get silverware, returning with a fork for him and sticking it right into the omlette.
"Though, pancakes would have been nice." A light pout touched her face, sighing. "I'll make sure to get you pancake batter."
[2:29:06 AM] Jinx: Phrixos used the fork and carefully cut the omlette in half, pushing one half closer to Eire and looking at her with a raised eyebrow, glancing meaningfully back at the half he had pushed towards her.
"Pancakes, huh? Maybe to celebrate the one week mark. I'll need to work my way down the food pyramind for now, so proteins and dairy will sit better for the first couple days."
He dug his fork into the egg, cutting off a small piece and transfering it to his mouth, chewing carefully and thoroughly before swallowing. "It's good," he said, offering Eire another small smile and cutting off a new piece.
[2:32:06 AM] Yushika: Watching him, she realized she hadn't grabbed a fork for herself, biting her bottom lip at his glance at the omelette. "I need to make sure you eat first." Honestly, she was slightly nervous of him seeing her eat. Why did those eyes make her blush slightly? Looking at the ground, she fidgeted with her shirt, suddenly jolting upright.
"Shower!' Oh! She was a mess! Having completely forgotten the food she stood up, making a move for the door. "I should shower so I'm not such a mess at my house."
[2:37:12 AM] Jinx: Phrixos blinked. Opened his mouth. /Started/ to say he had a shower here. /Realized/ he was about to say he had a shower here. Closed his mouth. Worked on getting another piece of omelette.
"Ah, right. I'll probably still be right here when you get back." This time his smile was tired. "Guess it takes more out of me to move than I realized."
[2:38:48 AM] Yushika: With a warm smile, she turned around to smile at the man. "I want your half to be gone by the time I get back~" With this, she exited the house, headed for her own, and decided promptly it was time to shower.
[8:46:28 PM] Jinx: "Right, my half gone," Phrixos muttered, poking at the omlette with his fork. It had actually been optimism that he could eat even half. Well egg actually wasn't too filling and it tasted good, but if he ate too much too soon it would be something of a shock to his system.
Ten minutes later Phrixos set the plate down on the floor, half the omlette eaten. He lay back down on the couch, hair fanned around him. It was like streaks of blood against his pale skin. He closed his eyes, feeling himself drift back into a light doze.
[8:57:46 PM] Yushika: Eireonite made sure to bathe herself until her pale skin was red. Usually, she didn't put on perfume, yet when she stepped from the shower she found herself applying the scent of sakura onto her, drying her hair and combing it as she padded to get dressed. Hn. Slipping on a simple silvery dress, she headed downstairs, grabbing a basket and fruit, and headed back to Phrixos'.
When she entered his house she closed the door gently, putting the basket on the counter. Fruit may ease him back into food. Smiling pleasantly, she entered the room where she had left Phrixos, spotting him asleep, smiling warmly. Oh. He had eaten his half. Approaching where he was, she picked the plate up. Perhaps she shouldn't eat it? Perhaps she should wrap it up.
Hair was on his cheeks, reaching over to brush it free strand from his face. Another smile touched her lips. Oh. He was looking better. Good~
[9:10:20 PM] Jinx: Phrixos instantly jerked away, black eye snapped open and staring around as he pulled further back into the couch. One arm went protectively around his ribs, trying to prevent further injury.
His stared at Eire for a moment, then relaxed. His arm drifted back down to his side and he stopped trying to become one with the back of the couch. "Sorry," he muttered, glancing aside. "I don't do surprise so well as I used to."
[9:12:11 PM] Yushika: (( PFFT. Becoming one with the back of the couch. ))
[9:13:00 PM] Jinx: ((XD Thought it was a good description and a bit of funny.))
[9:18:23 PM] Yushika: Eire flinched at Phrixos' movement, but didn't run away. When he finally calmed and spoke she nodded gently, offering a smile. "I'm sorry, I should learn not to touch you so carelessly." Sitting on the ground, she glanced at the omellete. Oh. She was caught with it. Pouting, she set it aside. She really didn't want to eat it, she wanted Phrixos to eat it. The idea of him eating her cooking.... why did it make her smile so much? She fidgeted, smiling gently.
It felt nice, having someone to care for. She enjoyed being helpful, she really did. Looking up at Phrixos, she pushed the plate aside, hoping he'd forgotten. "How are you feeling?"
[9:28:42 PM] Jinx: ((Sorry, ran to get food XD))
[9:28:55 PM] Yushika: (( Tis okay~ ))
[9:33:49 PM] Jinx: "A little better," Phrixos replied, looking at the bandages wrapped around his chest. "Still a bit tired." He leaned back, resting his head against the arm of the couch. "My fault. My immune system isn't at it's strongest right now, so I can't tell what's fatigue or what could be a cold or something."
[9:49:45 PM] Yushika: Nodding, Eire looked up at him, sighing softly. "Get better soon, okay?" She whispered, resting her hesd on the side of the couch, hair falling to one side. "So we can go to the grocery store together, and you can stretch your legs." Her head raised again, stopping. "And we can make your pale skin," She reached out, however stopped. No. Don't touch him. "A little more healthy."
[9:56:37 PM] Jinx: A small smile touched Phrixos' face. "I've always been naturally pale. It kinda runs in the family," he said.
He paused, eyes closing, and just lay there breathing for a moment. Then he spoke. "So, tell me a bit about yourself. If you're gonna be my self-appointed caretaker I'd like to know more about you."
[9:59:12 PM] Yushika: She blinked a little, caught off guard. "Myself?" Now that she thought about it, what did she know of Phrixos? Looking down, she took a bite from the omellete to buy time, though by the time she swallowed she had nothing. "It's rather hard to say something about myself." She finally said, looking up at Phrixos. "What would you like to know?"
[10:05:06 PM] Jinx: "Anything," Phrixos replied, eyes still closed. "Whatever comes to mind first." He opened his eyes and looked at Eire. "Friends. Family. Hobbies." He closed his eyes again. "Anything."
[10:19:55 PM] Yushika: Her body went numb, head lowering slighlty, hair falling in her face. "Family." Her hands tightened, squeezing one another until they turned white, her throat tightening. "I have two wonderful brothers, Blaise and Adonis.... I... if my mother Pandora and father Caelan had more I wouldn't know... My mother has not been around for awhile. Tithe.... she's my sister-in-law and my best friend..." A smile touched her lips. "I have three aunts and one uncle, and I'm sure I have several other members in the family... But..."
She stopped, shaking her head. "When I became seperated from them.... Adonis is the only family member I speak to now, and barely. I love my family, but it's lonely to know I have never been in their lives." She shook her head. It did feel....lonely. Her family didn't need her, she had been gone so long that when she returned it was barely noticed. It.... it did hurt.
She smiled weakly, not looking at Phrixos. "My hobbies include reading, sewing, is dreaming a hobby? I love to cook.... and I love to babysit. I used to babysit, actually. Then I came here." She looked up, cheeks red, eyes slightly watery, hands red from rubbing. "Though, I really hope to babysit again. I love children."
[10:27:08 PM] Jinx: Phrixos frowned a little, eyes opening. "My mom's always been a bit apathetic when it comes to family in general, but if me or any of my siblings just vanished I know my dad wouldn't rest until he hunted us down and learned why. He's /very/ protective of his family.
Well, /most/ of his family," he amended, face twisting into an unreadable expression. "My parents both had bad starts."
[10:33:11 PM] Yushika: Nodding, her head lowered, nails touching the ground. "I like quiet, but, I hate being alone. I..." She stopped, shaking her head. The New Years by herself, the Thanksgiving... lately Tithe would make sure to stop by and include her, which she was grateful, and yet..
No. She shook her head, laughing gently. "I'm sorry, forgive me. What are your hobbies?"
[10:40:27 PM] Jinx: "Hmm, hobbies," Phrixos mused, leaned his head back against the arm rest of the couch.
"Can't really think of any, to be honest," he finally said, exhaling softly. "Fighting, maybe, if that could be called a hobby. It's more like a family tradition."
[10:56:07 PM] Yushika: Shaking her head, she sighed softly. "Just don't fight if you can help it." She took another bite from the food, setting it down, and looked up at him, smiling warmly. "Well. Tell me about your family, then."
[11:30:56 PM] Jinx: Phrixos snorted, cracking open an eye to look at Eire. "Honestly? I'd rather not." He opened his other eye and transfered his gaze to the ceiling. "We're... Well my parents by themselves could be considered monsters to most." His smile held irony to it. "My brother and sisters, we're all our parent's children."
He paused. "I'm second oldest," he said. "I've got one sister older than me, and she's got a twin. My two other younger sisters are a bit frailer physically, but they're hardened to some of the horror of the world. My brother, youngest of the bunch, is a bit more extreme than I am. We're the first children for both my parents."
[11:45:43 PM] Yushika: Her head tilted, nodding at the story. Sighing lowly, she stood, stretched, and put the now empty plate away into the sink. "Phrixos." She called from the kitchen. "Do you have any friends? And family isn't an answer."
[11:52:13 PM] Jinx: Phrixos was silent for a long time. He could have been an elaborately carved sculpture resting on the couch, he was that still and silent.
Finally...
"I guess....this one girl. We were born around the same time, but she was older than me I think. Her name was Priya, if I remember right. We were kinda frenemies, we either got along great or hated each other's guts."
[11:54:15 PM] Yushika: Her head turned, laughing slightly at his words. "Frenemies?" She asked, shaking her head. "Such a silly term. Do you still see her?" She twitched slightly, though disregarded it, leaning against the wall as her legs crossed.
[11:56:13 PM] Jinx: "No," Phrixos replied simply, and a lot quicker than it had taken him to answer the previous question. "I haven't seen her in a long time, actually. We hung out a lot more when we were kids, then we grew up and just kinda went our own ways."
[11:57:43 PM] Yushika: At his quick answer she looked down, feeling slightly ashamed. Was it a weird question? Sighing to herself, her head raised slowly, looking up at the ceiling.
Hm....
"Phrixos!" She suddenly said, looking at him through long lashes. "Get dressed, please."
[12:00:40 AM] Jinx: Phrixos turned his head towards Eire, a bit startled by the sudden change in topic. "Why," he asked, feeling a bit dumb as though he were missing something.
[12:02:55 AM] Yushika: "I'll tell you later." She mused back , looking at her dress quietly. "Would you go out in public with me?" She asked, looking up and raising her arms to lift her hair into a loose bun, tying it with a hair tie. "You might want to tie your hair back, it's hot outside today."
[12:07:14 AM] Yushika: (( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1EJSxxvarA&feature=related ))
[12:07:38 AM] Jinx: Phrixos sighed softly. He was still a bit tired and not sure how much energy he had in him to spare. He could move around well enough to get around his house, but what did Eire have in mind?
"How important is this," he asked.
[12:10:51 AM] Jinx: ((Aw, cute song :3 ))
[12:11:28 AM] Yushika: "Mmm. Not very, but it'd be good to have you moving around. And... you need feed here. Unless you want me to buy you old nannie's food you might as well come with me." She paused, folding her arms slightly. "Mmm. And maybe I'll even buy you some glittery body soap."
[12:11:45 AM] Yushika: (( It reminds me of Andraste ))
[12:14:18 AM] Jinx: Phrixos groaned and hauled himself into a sitting position, being careful of his ribs. "I'm up, I'm up." He looked at Eire with a raised eyebrow. "You'll have to help me though. I can't raise my arms to brush and tie back my hair, or put on a shirt without pain."
His eyebrow quirked up a bit higher. "These pants I've got on will have to do, unless you want to help me change those too."
[12:17:07 AM] Yushika: Suddenly, she blushed brightly, closing her eyes and shaking her head side to side. "N-No!" She squeaked. "Those pants will do!" With that, she rushed off to find the brush, the blushing girl also heading for his dresser. Ah... shirt... shirt... What was the coolest shirt he had? Hnn.
.....
She suddenly realized just how sloppily she dressed, always grabbing whatever was nearby and throwing it on.... Ugh. Wait. She /never/ cared before. What.... Shaking her head, she grabbed the first shirt she saw, the brush, and her dignity, returning to Eire, blush mostly gone.
"Uhm.... Which first? Hair or shirt?"
[12:22:22 AM] Jinx: Phrixos leaned back against the couch, amused. He would have chuckled, but that would have jostled his ribs and hurt. Eire flushed was quite adorable, and he felt like he got his revenge for the sparkly body wash gag.
He sat back up again when Eire walked into the room. "Shirt," he said. "That way any work you do on my hair won't get pulled out. Shirts have a habit of snagging hair ties." He sat and waited, loosing his muscles to Eire could move him about a bit easier and internally cringing at letting his guard so low down.
[12:25:50 AM] Yushika: Approaching him, she frowned at the man, putting the brush in her mouth and touching his arm, gently. "Uhnp." What she was supposed to be saying was "up". Having moved his arms in a way that hopefully wouldn't cause him /too/ much pain, she slipped the shirt over his head, leaning over when it flopped onto his neck. She adjusted his hair, suddenly aware his face was close to her chest, and moving to the side, slipping his arms through the holes in the shirt clumsily.
"There." She had removed the brush from her mouth, pausing in thought. A slow smile touched her lips, giggling to herself as she grabbed the two extra hair bands from her wrist and began to brush his hair. "Hehe."
[12:30:06 AM] Jinx: Phrixos frowned at the sound of giggling. That was one thing about long hair; for some reason girls were always wanting to play with it. He didn't know how his dad stood it, but then his dad had more of a dangerous aura surrounding him.
/'If she does anything besides a braid or ponytail, I'll bring up the breast shot I got earlier,'/ he decided, sitting still and catching his breath over getting the shirt on.

Supermarket Fun
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [12:36:11 AM] Yushika: A dark blush was on Eire's face, and it hadn't left since....since /before/. Not only had she barely said a word to Phrixos, but she had stolen one of his jackets, covered herself, and flipped the hood up. She had sent him off to buy some vegetables while she sought revenge, poking through the gel soaps. Pink.... flower smelling.... ah. Sparkly soap, with the scent of peaches. Good. Now, all she would need to do was take his soap from in the house so he was forced to at least use this soap once.
.....
Were they really that big?
[12:46:25 AM] Jinx: Phrixos was still mentally chuckling. Eire had been blushing and sulking the entire walk over, refused to speak to him, and had even ransacked his wardrobe for one of his jackets. It actually hung really cute on her...
Well it was her fault for giving him the stupid pigtails...
[-flashback-]Phrixos wished he could reach around without causing himself pain. Cause then he would have pulled out the ridiculous pigtails Eire had given him. She was humming and giggling like she was really pleased with herself.
So...he opened his mouth.
"Nice melons, by the way," he commented, looking innocent. "Great angle, not too revealing but got a very good general idea. Not too big, but not too small either. I'd give 'em an A+"[endflashback]
Was it childish? Maybe, a bit. Still, she gave him /pigtails/! What else was he supposed to do?
[12:57:22 AM] Yushika: Stupid, idiotic, dumn, STUPID Phrixos! She scowled, hiding the soap under bread and other objects. "Hmpf!" Turning around, she nearly screamed when a man appeared behind her, his large purple eyes blinking at her.
"Ah, sorry!" He smiled at the younger woman, holding his hands up. "Didn't mean to scare you!" Eire shook her head, apologized, and ran off to find Phrixos. Hm. That man had a scent that seemed to remind her of.. hm...
There was that stupid man! Approaching him, she folded her arms, pointed at the cabbage, and narrowed her eyes. "That too. I'm going to make that the most disgusting soup you've ever tasted."
[1:02:26 AM] Yushika: (( .... ))
[1:02:30 AM] Yushika: (( How is that possible... ))
[1:02:35 AM] Yushika: (( And the man was Yuki. ))
[1:02:47 AM] Yushika: (( I wanted to throw in random Yuki ))
[1:03:00 AM] Jinx: ((Pffffft XD))
[1:05:29 AM] Jinx: Phrixos sighed and added the cabbage to the cart he was using as support. "Then I just won't eat it," he said, turning his attention back to the vegetables. "Which seems counterindusive to this whole mission of food-shopping."
He eyed the cart, trying to gauge if he'd gotten enough veggies. It was hard to shop for food when he wasn't really that hungry, and a headache was starting to build behind his eyes. He was doing his best to hide it. He did feel better than he had in the last couple weeks, but one night of pleasant sleep couldn't undo all the damage...
"If it's going to be a problem for you I can just call family. Or try looking after myself again. Think we need any fruit," he tossed in randomly, wandering from the vegetable section to fruits.
[1:09:45 AM] Yushika: "No, it's not a problem." Was all she said, sullenly following the man to the fruit section. "Just because it'd taste bad wouldn't mean it wasn't good for you." She mumbled, though, she kept quiet after that, glancing at the fruits. "What fruits do you like?" Ah, finally something not sullen. She adjusted the hood when she got a boy trying to see her face more, folding her arms to cover her chest, the basket to the side. Hmpf!
..... "I wonder if they have star fruit..."
[1:14:37 AM] Jinx: "Nectarines....strawberries. Sometimes oranges." He noticed Eire move from the corner of his eye and glanced around. He spotted a boy lurking and sent a black glare at him, causing him to quickly clear off.
"Never had a star fruit before."
[1:28:39 AM] Yushika: "Me either. But, I heard it looks cute..." The boy had run off. Her arm lowered, sighing as she poked about. Strawberries, nectarines, and oranges. She headed for the strawberries first, stopping as she turned her head. Hnn. "Do you like....cake... Phrixos?"
[1:33:14 AM] Jinx: "Depends," Phrixos responded. Since the nectarines were in one of those bins on the floor, and right behind the strawberries, he was running expert fingers over them, testing for proper firmness. He snagged three and put them in a plastic bag, twisting it closed.
"I've never been huge on sweets. Depends on the cake flavor, and whether I'm in the mood for something sweet." He glanced over at Eire as he deposited the nectarines in the cart. "Why, you like sweets?"
[1:39:55 AM] Yushika: "A bit." She mused back, purring strawberries into the cart. She looked up at him, nodding as he dumped nectarines into the cart. Her head turned, eyes widening as she saw a small, yellow, star shaped fruit, hopping over there and lifting it. "It is real!" She exclaimed in wonder. "I thought Tithe was playing another joke! We must get many of these!" With that, she proceeded to grab a bag and star fruit.
"When you get better, I want to make you something to celebrate. I guess a cake is out, though." [1:46:07 AM] Jinx: "Cracked ribs'll need a couple more weeks to heal all the way, so we have time to think up something," Phrixos said. He slowly wheeled the cart over to the orange, prodding at produce as he had the nectarines and picking out three of those as well.
He glanced over at Eire. "Do you need any of the fruit for cooking, or should we move on to another isle?"
[1:46:36 AM] Jinx: ((Oh, were you gonna actually have Yuki run into Phrix or was that just a kinda teaser-moment bump with Eire?))
[1:47:25 AM] Yushika: (( Teaser moment bump, later if Phrix ever introduces her to his family she could be like WAAAAT and he could be like I NEVER SAW YOUR FACE CUZ OF THE HOOD, WHY YOU SCREAMING WAAAAT ))
[1:49:01 AM] Yushika: "We can move on." She had finally finished tormenting the poor fruit, dropping the heavy bag into the cart happily, emptying the contents of her basket inside it as well. "Mmmm." The soap was hidden before Phrixos could see, and she smirked quietly to herself.
"Well." She looked up, smiling playfully. "We could dye your hair pink."
[1:56:41 AM] Jinx: ((Oh, and you totally know Phrixos will use that body wash.))
[1:56:53 AM] Yushika: ((Pfft. He better.))
[1:57:09 AM] Jinx: ((Then prance about in the house with only a towel on, to show off his silky-smooth, peach-sparkle skin >3))
[1:58:15 AM] Yushika: ((And she would blush to death. PFFT.))
[1:58:35 AM] Jinx: ((For every action of Eire, there is an equal reaction of Phrixos >3))
[1:59:35 AM] Yushika: ((PFFT.))
[2:02:44 AM] Jinx: Phrixos snorted. "Right. And why would we do that? I thought the red was bright and attention-grabbing enough." He really had no clue how he and Phanes came out with blood-colored hair, when his dad was midnight black and his mom was snowy white. Only Nanna had gotten Mom's hair, but she wore it a /lot/ longer than Mom deemed practical.
"So what else do you need," he asked, looking down at the contents of the cart. They should be covered on produce, and even the armful of stuff Eire tipped in seemed more than sufficent to him. Then again he didn't cook for himself all that often...
[2:05:48 AM] Yushika: "Mmmmm." She looked up and about, nodding. "I got mostly everything while you were by vegetables. So maybe a microwave meal here and there for the days you are lazy." She stopped turning around and smiling, a laugh escaping her. "But pink would be cute~"
It seemed she was more carefree today, more relaxed than the past few times they had spent together. Which she was. This casual day at the grocery store put her at ease, relaxed her, made her feel just a bit more normal.
[2:10:25 AM] Jinx: Phrixos rolled his eyes. "Right. Tell you what. You let me dye your hair black and multi-colored and style it like a badass punk, you can dye my hair pink."
He wheeled the cart to the aisle of boxed foods and found the microwave section. There were actually some microwave soups as well as noodle things. He stood back and nodded his head to indicate Eire to make her selections.
[2:14:01 AM] Yushika: She considered it, then looking up at him she sighed, folding her arms again. "....Fine." Her red eyes flicked to the microwave meals, opening the door to the frozen shelves. "But nothing permanent. I won't be able to babysit if I look like a punk from a bad movie. And, I like my hair color, you don't see silver a lot these days."
After she had selected a few meals, she put it in the cart, looking back up. "And no cutting it. I realize it's super long, but it's comforting."
[2:19:01 AM] Jinx: Phrixos felt like swearing. He'd hoped his offer would be enough to wean Eire away from her pink hair idea...
"You don't cute mine, I don't cut yours," he finally said. "And no permanent color for me either. It'll have to wait 'til I can lift my arms properly too." Secretly he clung to the hope that, given though time, Eire would forget...
"Got everything," he asked, wheeling the cart around in the direction of the registers and pausing for Eire's answer.
[2:20:26 AM] Yushika: "No, hold on!" She ran off, nearly bumping into another man, squeaking, and running off. Quickly, she hunted through the hair dyes, found a non-permanent one, grabbed it, and ran back for Phrixos, dumping it into the cart. "So I won't forget!" She chirped cheerfully. "Now the registers~"
[2:26:09 AM] Jinx: Phrixos glared at the bottle of pink dye with enough for like he hoped it would implode. "Torturing an invalid," he finally muttered under his breath, actually sulking as he headed towards the register. If it hadn't been for...
He stopped that thought before it led on to another, one he didn't really want to deal with in public at the moment.
He slowly began pulling items out of the cart, being careful of his ribs. Maybe if he was clever enough, he could "misplace" that dye...
[2:29:16 AM] Yushika: Eire leaned on the counter, smiling warmly at the register man and slipping the hood down, her bun coming undone in seconds and hair flowing down. The man blinked, stuttering once or twice as Eire asked about his day. While Phrixos began to unpack the items she extended her hand, took the mans hand into hers, and slipped a card into his palm.
"If you have kids, call me? If you know anyone with kids feel free to tell them, too~ And Phrixos, I'll know if that dye isn't in the bag and I /will/ come back here alone and buy it."
[2:29:21 AM] Jinx: ((............Phrixos just put a veeeeeery disturbing image in my head.))
[2:29:28 AM] Yushika: (( What? ))
[2:30:02 AM] Jinx: ((Well first, he's gonna discover that body wash since he's unloading the cart XD))
[2:30:11 AM] Yushika: (( Oh my. ))
[2:31:21 AM] Jinx: ((Second, /just/ to torment Eire, he's gonna get the pink hair and sparkly body wash and come out in just a towel and twirl around and speak with an overenthusiastic cutesy voice. Just to prove cute doesn't work on him > _>))
[2:31:39 AM] Yushika: (( ...... YES. ))
[2:32:36 AM] Jinx: ((...You = Horrible.
Did you want to have Phrix keep unloading the cart?))
[2:33:00 AM] Yushika: (( YES. ))
[2:35:20 AM] Jinx: Phrixos debated leaving the dye out anyway. But maybe he could hide it in the house somewhere later...
Reluctantly he put the dye on the counter, and kept pulling up items. Halfway through he reached a particular bottle, and raised an eyebrow. He held it up, wiggling it.
"Eire? You moving in the house or something," he asked, eyeing the peach-scented, sparkling body wash.
[2:39:07 AM] Yushika: "It's for you." She said, turning to look at him seriously. "For that snide comment before." She turned back to the man, giggle at his look of sympathy for Phrixos.
"You musta pissed your pretty girl here royally." He mused as he rang the items. Eire blinked, head shaking quickly, hair swinging side to side. "Ah, no no." She rose her hands up in defense, blushing slightly. "He's my-" ....Friend? Could she say friend? Did he accept her as a friend? "....friend." She said this in a tiny voice, wringing her hands together until she had to pay, grimacing at the bill.
[2:45:36 AM] Jinx: "And you gave me pigtails, so I think we're even," Phrixos commented, raising an eyebrow. "And it wasn't a snide comment, it was a compliment." He set the bottle down on the edge of the counter, pushing the cart forward to collect the bags. "You spent enough anyway, so we can just leave it."
Quieter, "I'll pay you back for the food."
[2:48:40 AM | Edited 2:48:53 AM] Yushika: She blushed darker, flipping the hood up over her head once more. Compliment?! HNNNN. Shaking her head, she tipped the bottle onto the counter, watching and protecting it until it was rang up. "It's a gift." She mumbled, still a nice red shade. "A-And the pig tails were cute...."
[2:55:14 AM] Jinx: "I don't know why you're trying to turn me into a girl or something," Phrixos muttered, shaking his head. "I don't do cute." He was seriously starting to hope Eire found a babysitting job, and got a kid she could take her cute fits out on...
[2:56:48 AM] Yushika: "Please?" She whispered, looking at him with large, innocent eyes. "Just once?" She accepted the bags handed to her, struggling slightly. "I guess the soap is a one time thing, the dye would only last about a week."
[3:03:12 AM | Edited 3:04:06 AM] Jinx: Phrixos rolled his eyes. "I said I would if you would. It'll just have to wait a couple weeks. Speaking of...-"
He looked down at the bags they had. "I hope you can carry at least half of these, since we walked. Normally it wouldn't be a problem for me to carry all of them, but I'm still busted up."

Need To Know
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [4:53:56 PM] Jinx: Phrixos stared at himself in the mirror. The shadows under his eyes were faint, almost gone. He'd been sleeping a lot better since Eire had started sleeping with him. He still experienced nightmares from time to time, but they didn't wake him as often as they used to.
He was still pale, but that was his natural skin tone anyway. His build still had that overly thin look, but he didn't look sickly or on the verge of death anymore. He could eat normal portions of food now, and was starting to fill out.
Phrixos brushed his fingers through his long, slightly damp hair. Only a ghost of pain was left as a reminder of his cracked ribs. In another week he would be completely healed. Then there'd be no reason for Eire to stick around.
Another twinge of pain from his chest, but it wasn't his ribs...
Phrixos' thoughts turned to the woman in his kitchen, cleaning up the mess from dinner. He'd come to rely on Eire a lot more than he thought he would in the last two weeks. That box of pink hair dye sat on the shelf behind him, reflected in the mirror and only bringing up more memories.
What would happen when he healed, and Eire left?
[5:01:59 PM] Yushika: (( Did they dye their hair yet? ))
[5:04:19 PM] Jinx: ((Not yet. They're waiting for him to heal first, so one more week.))
[5:04:36 PM] Jinx: ((Then they dye Eire's hair as well >3))
[5:05:48 PM] Jinx: ((That's probably a good opening for the movie thing. Phrix heals, he gets his hair dyed, Eire gets her hair dyed and he styles it punk, to celebrate Eire suggests movies, Phrix is like, "Pink hair and public appearance? Hell no."))
[5:06:01 PM] Jinx: ((And the scene we plotted and all XD))
[5:06:45 PM] Yushika: (( OH YEA ))
[5:12:42 PM] Yushika: She had just finished washing the dishes, pushing her dress sleeves back down and undoing her long hair, smiling gently. Living here was... relaxing. It felt right. It felt just right living here with Phrixos. Ugh.. did she.. She didn't understand her feelings, not well. Being near Phrixos felt just right, and she always smiled when she saw him enter the room. He was the one person that made her smile no matter what. She loved caring for him, yet soon he'd be well and she'd go back to living in her house.
Yea, it was next door, but... It'd be quieter, colder, and alone. Having him just in the same house made her relaxed. Hm. Yet he was getting better quickly... Which meant she should start sleeping in another room to get him and her used to sleeping by themselves. Anyway, he seemed better lately...
Gently setting down the rag she used, she turned around and found Phrixos, smiling at the man. "I'm going to sleep in the guest room from now on." She announced, pushing back a strand of hair. "I think it's the right time."
[5:19:57 PM] Jinx: What little blood was in Phrixos' face drained away, making pale skin just a touch paler. His hands drifted down to grab the counter of the skin, and he looked down. "Oh?" His grip tightened a bit, and he managed to look up at Eire while keeping his expression normal.
"I-I guess so. I mean I can't keep hogging all your time forever. You must miss your own house and sleeping in your own bed. Taking care of an invalid doesn't really leave much personal time." He tried for a smile. It was a bit shaky, but he managed. It only lasted a moment though, then he found he had to look away. He turned his gaze back to the mirror.
"Guess it's a good thing we bought that futon and extra blankets to put in the guest room, just in case. The couch or the floor wouldn't be nearly as comfortable."
[5:24:26 PM] Yushika: "E-Eh?" She frowned softly, head shaking as she raised her hands and laughed nervously. "No no! I like taking care of you, it's just that we're both used to sleeping in the same bed. You won't need me anymore so I thought it'd be best to start adjusting to what our lives will be soon."
Ugh, that flicker in her heart. Shaking her head again, she moved to the side, slipping aside from Phrixos to grab a cup. "Well, I'm going to bed." She mused, getting water and heading to go to the room. Turning around, she smiled at the man. "Oh! If you need me I'll be in the guest room. I can change your bandages if you'd like."
[5:37:20 PM] Jinx: Phirxos managed a more genuine smile. "It's fine. As long as I don't twist around too much, my ribs won't need the bandages anymore." He watched Eire as she walked away, and didn't look back at the mirror until her steps ended and the sounds of her moving around in the room reached him.
He sighed, brushing his bangs away and searching his eyes as though looking for an answer. He scowled, apparently unable to find what he wanted. He shoved off from the counter and slowly made his way to his room.
He stared at the bed for a moment, the slowly crawled in and curled up under the covers. The bed felt so much colder and uninviting with Eire next to him...
[6:47:45 PM] Yushika: Curled into her futon, she had a hard time sleeping. Though, it wasn't impossible. She did manage to slowly fall into a half-sleep state, the state right before you actually nodded off. Her arms were clung around the pillow, needing something to hold onto. She never held onto Phrixos when they slept, but having something nearby was what she needed.
No, not needed. She was already half-asleep, she didn't need anything. He would be better off in his own bed with room to sprawl. Besides, what would his future girlfriend think if they slept in the same bed? Oh...
Future girlfriend. Aha....
[7:22:45 PM] Jinx: Phrixos lay curled in a ball under his blankets, his arms wrapped around his pillow. Lately he'd been waking up holding Eire, even though they'd been going to sleep laying side-by-side normally.
For some reason it always felt right to be holding her...
Now, he just couldn't seem to fall asleep. Every time he tried, nightmares threatened to pull him down into their dark grasp without Eire's warm arms to keep him up...
[7:31:58 PM] Yushika: Finally, finally she fell asleep. Yet her dreams were restless, dreaming of waking up and finding Phrixos no longer moving. Such morbid dreams, it frightened her.. Though she kept asleep, she kept dreaming those horrid dreams. She was frightened of him being... gone. She was frightened of when she went home and she'd never know if he was alright or not...
Yet she stayed asleep.
[8:37:46 PM] Jinx: His body had grown used to sleep. Three weeks ago he’d been an expert at insomnia. Now, his body had a limit. Fight it though he did, Phrixos could not sleep falling into an uneasy sleep.
/Phrixos floated in darkness. He looked around uneasily, waiting. He didn’t have to wait for long…
“Phrixos,” purred a masculine voice from the darkness, causing Phrixos to shiver. Suddenly he wasn’t floating, he was standing on solid ground. And suddenly the darkness was gone. He was in a pure white room that seemed to go on infinitely in all directions. If there was a ceiling he couldn’t see it. There was nothing but white everywhere, aside from his shadow on the floor.
And there, six feet in front of him, stood Abaddon.
“So good to see you again, little bird,” he said, red eyes lighting up and an evil smile spreading on his face. “I was beginning to think you’d left me for good.”
Phrixos firmed his shoulders, trying to hide his trembling and fear. “It is over for good, Abaddon,” he said. “I escaped, escaped right out of your clutches, and now I stand out of your reach.”
“In reality only,” Abaddon replied, stepping forward and beginning to circle Phrixos. It took all of his will to stay in one spot, listening to the echo of boots on the ground, not turning his head to watch Abaddon as he circled. “We both know I can touch you in a dream.” Abaddon stood in front of Phrixos again, closer. A small frown had creased his face. “I will admit to being a bit put out about it though. I thought I had damaged you just enough that the pain would keep you from running.” He reached out, fingers lightly brushing over Phrixos’ nearly healed ribs. “Hmmm. Perhaps I should have actually broken bones instead.”
“It wouldn’t have mattered,” Phrixos countered, trembling now despite his resolve. “My willpower is stronger than any pain you put me through. I would have escaped if you’d broken every bone in my body.”
Abaddon looked amused. “Every body has its limits. I just hadn’t found yours. I also-,” he said, being another circle, “-happen to disagree with the power of your mind. If you were strong enough to defeat me, then why am I still here-,” he was in front of Phrixos, face close, “-in your head-,” hand on his cheek, “-still able to mess with you. Is this the power of your will, Phrixos?” Abaddon laughed and pulled back. “Face it. You’re not strong enough to defeat me on your own, little bird.”
“I still got away,” Phrixos repeated, mouth dry. Abaddon made a face as though he tasted something sour, then became calm again.
“Perhaps. I commend you on the excellent job you did covering your tracks. There also is a lack of any kind of documentation that would tell me who your family is, and you never really talked about them. However-,” Abaddon tapped a finger thoughtfully against his own cheek, “-you mentioned enough. Your whole family has black eyes, you once mention. Well, that’s not a very common trait now, is it.”
Phrixos felt his mouth grow dry. “Common enough,” he bluffed.
“Aaah, perhaps. In the human world there are humans with eyes you could call “black”, nothing more than a very dark brown.” Abaddon waved a hand dismissively. “Your eyes are truly black, with no distinguishing your pupil from your iris. That kind of color is unheard of in humans, unless you believe the stories of “demonic possession.” Abaddon smiled. “And if you think I can’t tell a fox from an ordinary human, you’re very wrong little bird.”
“That would take years, decades. How will you find one of a handful of people in the whole world,” Phrixos challenged, mouth still dry.
“I have my ways, and I don’t mind if our little game has to drag out. It’ll make finding you only that much sweeter,” Abaddon purred, eyes glinting. “So, with that lovely thought in mind, how about a little game?” Abaddon waved his hand, and suddenly Phrixos found himself inside a giant, gilded birdcage. “Where you belong,” Abaddon said, backing up until he was twelve feet away.
Phrixos grabbed the bars, yanking on them. “I’m through playing your games,” he hissed through gritted teeth, trying to pull the frail-looking bars aside. They didn’t budge.
“Oh Phrixos, this time I’m trying to help you,” Abaddon said in a falsely innocent voice. He stepped aside, and Phrixos felt his heart drop.
Standing there, looking pale and terrified, was Eireonite.
“Yes, lovely girl,” Abaddon said, circling around to stand behind Eire and placing his hands on her shoulders. “So, here’s how the game works. It’s quite simple.” He pointed to the cage. “Watch me ravage your….lovely girl, or break through my influence and stop me.” His hands darted forward in a savage motion. The sound of tearing cloth filled the air, and the top of Eire’s dress was half-hanging off her. She looked at Phrixos with wide, terrified eyes as Abaddon lowered his face to shoulder level, his own eyes watching Phrixos with cruel amusement. “Let’s see if you can…”/
[8:41:06 PM] Jinx: Phrixos bolted upright in his bed, breathing heavily. He sat there for a few moments, chest heaving as he sucked in air. He hid his face in his hands and let out a single, dry sob. He sat like that for almost a full minute, then slowly he got out of bed.
Moving quietly down the hall, Phrixos lightly pushed open the door to the guest room. Eire lay on the futon, occasionally stirring and muttering in her sleep. Phrixos trembled and just watched her for a few minutes.
Then, slowly, he crossed the threshold and entered the room. With the same slow, careful movements he got in the bed next to Eire, sliding over until he was almost touching her then slowing wrapping his arms around her.
[8:46:03 PM] Yushika: The movement made the girl twitch, heavily lashed eyes slowly flicking open. Gradually, very gradually she managed to open her mouth, letting out a tired, sleepy groan. Something was beside her. Wait. Something was holding her. Was it part of her dream? Her eyes spotted Phrixos, yet once again she put it to dreaming. Course, he was in his bed. Why would he come to her? Vivid dreams were a pain, but real. She had them before. Stirring slightly, she pressed into the warmth, sleepily yawning.
"What a nice dream." She muttered gently, closing her eyes once more. Strange, a dream inside a dream.
[8:54:23 PM] Jinx: Phrixos let out a short, soft laugh, hardly more than a slightly louder-than-normal exhale of breath. As long as he held Eire in his arms, everything was alright.
Moving slowly and hesitantly, Phrixos carefully leaned forward, trying not to let his weight shift disturb Eire. He pressed a gentle, soft kiss against her cheek, leaning back and laying his head down with his face buried against her shoulder.
[9:06:36 PM] Yushika: At the kiss her cheeks turned a faint red, allowing the man to snuggle into her shoulder. Her hands rose, touching his chest gently. Breathing in his scent, a tired giggle escaped her. "I wish... I wish I could always stay like this." She whispered, eyes shitting once more, having opened briefly. "Really... this is a nice dream." Absently, she moved slightly so she could see the man, kissing his cheek before shifting so once again he was laying where he had moved himself, settling to close her eyes.
[9:18:14 PM] Jinx: "So stay," Phrixos breathed, voice so soft that if he hadn't been so close to Eire's ear she wouldn't have been able to hear him. "Don't leave. Stay here, with me, forever." His arms tightly fractionally.
"I need you, Eire."
[9:18:15 PM] Jinx: /”Let’s see if you can…”
Abaddon’s hand trailed over Eire’s body. Suddenly he grabbed her long hair, using it to yank her down to the ground. Eire cried out in pain. Abaddon stood there, evil smile on his face and eyes glowing redder than the depths of hell.
Whish! Thunk!
Abaddon staggered forward a step, hands moving to his midsection. They encountered a hard, cold piece of metal. Blood pooled around his clothes, running down the pole sticking through his midsection and dripping to the ground. He smirked, turning, and a trickle of blood ran from the corner of his mouth.
Phrixos stood, breathing heavily, arms still out and legs will spread in the wide step he’d taken to give extra momentum to the section of the cage bar he had hurled at Abaddon like a javelin.
Suddenly Eire and the cage were gone. There was a sound of breaking glass, and all the white world was suddenly spider-webbed with black as though it had cracked. “Very good, Phrixos. Very good.” Abaddon and the world of white faded out, leaving only black and the sound of blood dripping. “Just remember that your greatest strength….is also your greatest weakness. Guard it well, cause now I know just how to destroy you….”
[9:22:54 PM] Yushika: Her eyes flicked open, surprise in them. At the tightened grip she didn't move, her hands staying where they were. If this was a dream then it was a cruel one, yet she had a feeling it was not... She didn't respond, not yey. Stay? When did he show signs of him wanting her to stay? Ever since she had taken care of him he clearly told her what he did and didn't want. Was...
No. What he meant was not what she wanted. What he meant was he needed her to watch over him. Yet, she wanted it to mean /that/ way. She wanted it. She found, as she laid there in his arms, she wanted him to need her. She wanted him to desire for her to stay because he... because he /loved/ her. That's what she wanted.
How stupid was she? Of course. It made sense. Her eyes lowered, closing, and she decided that she wouldn't say anything. She'd merely enjoy this moment and pretend, just for now, she'd pretend he had meant something else, resting against him.

Pink And Punk Go To The Movies
Status :: over ::
OOC moments :: this color text :: [9:37:01 PM] Jinx: Phrixos groaned. "You know, I really hoped this color wouldn't hold up to my natural red," he said, twirling a lock of bubble-gum pink hair in his fingers. He released it and let it fall back to his side, sighing in defeat. In the end it had taken two extra boxes of the color to get all his hair. He'd hoped the failed first attempt would have disuaded Eire, but she'd gone out and bought two more boxes of the pink dye.
Which she'd held up with a kind of fiendish glee when he'd opened his door...
[11:12:50 PM] Yushika: Eire was toying with her own hair, which he had dyed recently. She wasn't sure how she felt about it, but she was far too amused by Phrixos' own hair color. Actually, amused wasn't the word. She was down right thrilled with it. Her smile was evidence, grinning at him as she laid on the couch. "You look lovely." She chirped, head tilting as her smirk faded suddenly. "It took a lot of dye, but really, it was worth it." She knew he was going to make sure she regretted this, but really, not much he could do worried her. Besides, she was serious, it actually did look nice. Then again, Eire wasn't that fashion forwarded.
[11:19:17 PM] Jinx: Phrixos scowled at the mirror, looked at where Eire was reflected over his shoulder standing in the doorway. He hadn't let her touch his hair until he'd gotten to dye hers, half-believing she'd refuse and he could wiggle out of it. But nope, she'd gone ahead and let him go through with it. Her silver hair looked better, but he had to admit that she still managed to rock the black with multi-colored streaks going through it.
He hadn't actually put it in a mohawk though, cause he was afraid that Eire would then style /his/ hair in some fashion...
"Well thank goodness I have all that practice at being a hermit," he said with a snort, turning away from the mirror.
[11:24:26 PM] Yushika: Eire raised her head, smirking back at him. She missed her silver hair, honestly... But hair dye washed out. Besides, this reaction from him was worth it. Until he mentioned being a hermit. The woman froze, fingers dancing across the couch before she shook her head. "Wait." She stood, viewing the man. What had she expected, though?
"I was thinking we could go to the movies today. Or tomorrow..." She whispered, suddenly quiet. No. They weren't a couple, yet she couldn't deny her desire to ask him to go places with her. She couldn't deny the desire to do these things with him, and perhaps earn his... Hush. Idiot. Be quiet. Now. Her head shook side to side, eyes raising to view him.
"Would you go with me?" She asked, though suddenly she realized just the consequences of dying his hair. Would he say no? Well, no, why would he? Phrixos wouldn't deny her, right? She smiled playfully, folding her arms. "A little hair dye won't stop you, right?"
[11:27:16 PM] Yushika: (( -at the breast part of the RP. Oh god.- ))
[11:27:42 PM] Jinx: ((The breast part XD?))
[11:28:18 PM] Yushika: (( -he apparently saw her breasts by accident, then later said: "Nice melons, by the way," he commented, looking innocent. "Great angle, not too revealing but got a very good general idea. Not too big, but not too small either. I'd give 'em an A+"
[11:28:36 PM] Yushika: (( This ended with her feeling the need to make the worst soup ever. ))
[11:29:09 PM] Jinx: ((*snickers*))
[11:29:19 PM] Yushika: (( Oh god. I ******** love these two. ))
[11:34:32 PM] Jinx: Phrixos felt a very unpleasant falling sensation in the pit of his stomach and a clamor of voices instantly started up in his head. On one hand it would make Eire happy to go, on the other there was no way he wanted to go in public until this dye washed out. On one hand they couldn’t remain hermits forever, but on the other he was still scared to be out in public sometimes.
And considering his head was like a neon sign right now, that was probably why caution and old, fearful habits won out.
“If it was a little it wouldn’t be a problem, but I look like walking advertisement for chewing gum,” Phrixos muttered, unable to look Eire in the eye as he more or less told her the hair dye /was/ stopping him, and not wanting to see any of the disappointment or hurt that would probably be in her expression.
[11:39:00 PM] Yushika: Her eyes widened, smile fading. Well... She hadn't expected that, honestly. She hadn't expected him to turn her down, however replaced her face with another smile, fake but convicing enough. "Oh! Ah, it's okay. I guess I should have asked before I dyed your hair, huh?" She always stayed over his house lately, perhaps this was his way of distancing them a bit, as well? The slim woman nodded, tossling his hair once she reached him before heading towards the guest room to grab a coat.
"Well. I suppose you wouldn't mind if I went out, then?" She questioned gently from upstairs. "I really want to see it, and it will be discontinued in the theater in three days. It's that horror movie everyone is talking about." The sound of banging could be heard, a hairbrush being set down, boots being grabbed. She was changing, it seemed. She flopped back downstairs, sporting a familiar dress, similiar to the one she wore when they first met, however flowier and one side drapping off her shoulder. Her leather jacket only caused her hair to match her even better, leather boots clicking.
"You don't mind, do you?" She asked, stopping beside him and smiling gently.
[11:45:11 PM] Jinx: Phrixos seriously wanted to walk over to the nearest bit of wall and begin beating his head against it. Of course he minded, but he also had common sense! No matter how much he wanted to, he sensed that forbidding Eire to leave the house on her own, /especially/ since she’d just gotten dressed for it, would not only not work, but would also undo a lot of the work he’d been putting into courting her; the stubborn woman still didn’t seem to believe just how much he cared about her.
It was either that, or admit defeat and go with her. Unfortunately this relationship comprised of /two/ very stubborn individuals.
“No, not at all,” Phrixos said, though he had to unclench his jaw to get the words out. His entire body was a bit stiff as he fought the impulse to do something stupid, like tie Eire up and lock her away; he was pretty sure that scary sister-in-law of hers knew where he lived…
[11:45:46 PM] Yushika: (( I love these two. skjdhaks Phrixos, you're amazing. ))
[11:46:42 PM] Jinx: ((Phrixos: vhundialhfidajn)) ((He's just frustrated ^^))
[11/8/2012 11:49:30 PM] Yushika: Eire smiled sweetly, not really noting the fact the male had a tense jaw at first. She approached him, raising herself onto her tiptoes to give him a gentle hug, something she had been doing for a bit, before heading towards the door. "Don't stay up too long." She joked, brushing now black hair out of her face and grabbing the spare set of keys. With this, the girl opened the door, hovered in the doorway, perhaps hoping he'd take it back and go with him. Still, once again, she wasn't one to sit around and wait for things to happen if they wouldn't.
"Ah. I'll grab some food for tomorrow's dinner before I go home, so I may be a bit." She warned. She knew him, he'd worry. He always did. Slipping out the door, the woman closed the door and headed for the theatre, face contorting into the frown that finally could appear. Well. She shouldn't sulk. They did everything together, some time apart wouldn't kill either of them.
(( You can time skip if you like~ ))
[12:03:28 AM] Jinx: Phrixos tried not to stiffen when Eire hugged him since she would read that the wrong way, not as him fighting the strengthened temptation to grab her and not let her leave. As it was, he had to mentally remind himself to behave as his fingers started inching forward a bit.
He waited until he heard the front door close before he moved, and went to the window to peer out of it. There she was, walking down the street. He watched her until she was out of sight, then went over to the nearest wall and indulged in that head beating he’d been wanting earlier.
The next half hour was a blur of pacing, fretting, and more personal time for his head and the wall to get to know each other. Part of him kept hoping Eire would change her mind at some point and appear home again, but as the minutes steadily dwindled away that hope went out the door. That was about when he’d seriously begun to berate himself. How could he have just let her go off on her own like that, without any kind of protection? What if a creep found her? Or…
He shuddered, pushing away old nightmares before they could fully surface. His pacing took on a near frantic quality and his hair was not only bright pink but was also starting to look funny closer to his head from all the times he had seized handfuls of it in frustration. He finally stopped and looked down at the current handful he had, then looked at the front door, locked in place by indecision…
_____________________
Phrixos stood in front of the movie theater, glowering at the ticket boy and tapping his toes impatiently. Of course he knew the movie had started 40 minutes ago, he wasn’t an idiot. At least his frustration with the ticket boy distracted him from his seething embarrassment at all the looks his hair was getting. He’d pulled it back in a ponytail and hoped the dim lighting would hide it, but apparently it still wasn’t late enough in the day to disguise bright pink for anything other than what it was…
Finally, the fool handed over his ticket. Phrixos snatched it and walked as quickly as he could towards the theater without actually running.
[12:04:21 AM] Jinx: ((It amazes me that it doesn't feel like much time has passed, but it's been a little over 50 minutes > ->))
[12:04:38 AM] Yushika: (( jshdhgasdks the wall and Phrixos' loving relations.... ))
[12:05:31 AM] Jinx: ((XD He's loyal to Eire, promise!))
[12:10:04 AM] Yushika: Eire was being bothered. The girl had slipped into her seat awhile ago and was excited to see the movie. That is, until two males around her age spotted her, each sporting their own bright hair with equally bright streaks. Punks? Skaters? She couldn't tell, but it had only take a few seconds for them to spot her and cackle to one another. It also took them about five seconds to sit on either side of her, reminding her why she should have sat close to the wall.
The past 40 minutes had been spent watching the movie, judging it's special effects, and trying to ignore the increasingly annoying males. It was hard, and eventually she ended up failing, turning a slight red when one made a rather horrid comment about where her clothes should be later tonight. Relief flooded her when one left, the one with green hair, however the teal haired one was determined to sit both the movie out and perhaps attempt to score tonight.
Why didn't she move? She was stubborn. As hell. She came to see the movie, she sat here first, why should she either waste her money and leave before the movie ended or leave her seat? She was here first! If anything, he should leave! Her face was becoming redder as the time went by, and once or twice she had snipped back something rather sarcastic and rude, though she quickly learned this was met with approval.
The girl mentally sighed to herself, staring blankly at the screen. She was going to punch this boy, and everyone knew she was a gentle girl. Far too sweet to do such a thing.... But she was embarassed, nervous, and was growing more and more panicked over when the movie was over, reminded of a male that had molested her awhile ago. Men made her nervous, men frightened her at times, and this male, though not qualified to be a man to her, was starting to worry her.
[12:21:28 AM] Jinx: Phrixos opened the door to the theater and stepped in, giving his eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness and peering around to see if he could spot Eire. It wasn’t hard, actually, the theater was surprisingly empty. Well, she had said the movie was almost about to go out of theaters so it was probably a little…
And that’s where his train of thought stopped. Cause that’s when he noticed some punk sitting next to his girl, practically /leaning/ over her, with a look on his face that instantly made Phrixos want to do a variety of things to him that would be both painful and humiliating. But mostly painful.
Without even thinking about it his feet carried him forward, swiftly and silently, until he was standing just behind them; he’d even edged a little into the row behind them so he was in a superior position for a death b-,….er, physical altercation. Yea, he’d go with that.
“Hey, punk,” he growled in a voice that would have had monster movie makers after him to do voice acting. “Get your a** away from my woman right now unless you want to wear your hair for a tail.” [12:22:04 AM] Jinx: ((Pretty sure you need a hotglue gun for that, unless..... > n> You'd better wash your hands after if you go with the unless!))
[12:22:21 AM] Yushika: (( OH DEAR GOD THAT'S NASTY PHRI. ))
[12:23:55 AM] Jinx: ((Phrixos: *growls* He shouldn't have been messing with my woman then!))
[12:29:58 AM] Yushika: She was starting to wonder if her stubborn attitude was a bad idea, for once. The man was becoming far too close for her comfort, but he had broken her comfort barriar a long time ago. It was when she could /smell/ him that she realized just how close he was, red eyes grimacing slightly.
And then she heard a familiar voice, head snapping upwards to see the equilvant of a demon from hell itself. She gulped, frozen stiff until bright pink hair and familiar dark eyes greeted her. Relief spread across her face, happy to both see Phrixos actually /here/, and the fact she was saved. Though, she did take a second to understand what he had said, turning a vivid red at the imagery.
"Phri-" She was cut off as the male harassing her stammered in response, stumbling over her and out the row. She watched him, red eyes flicking back to view Phrixos. Wait. His woman? She blinked once more, stupidfied by the display. blinking. Out of all of this, out of the fact he came over with pink hair and saved her, all she got out of it was one thing.
"Your woman?"
[12:39:58 AM] Jinx: Phrixos gave Eire a look very similar to the one he’d gotten from the ticket boy just minutes earlier. He took her head firmly but gently in his hands and bent it back ‘til the back was touching the top of her seat and she was staring up at the theater ceiling. He then lowered his own head and proceeded to kiss her in a way that was anything but chaste. He was still gentle with her, but he made sure by the time he was thoroughly done that there would be no doubt in her head.
Finally the need for air won out on his need to make this stubborn woman understand.
“Stupid,” he murmured, face so close to hers that his lips brushed against hers as he spoke. “Do you really think I’d have let just anyone do this to my hair, then make me fret so much I come out in public like this? I was right too,” he continued, bringing his face down to drop a feather light kiss on her. “You just can’t seem go out alone without attracting trouble.”
[12:40:53 AM] Yushika: (( INSERT MY HAPPY SQUEAL OF HAPPINESS RIGHT HERE, KTHX. ))
[12:41:20 AM] Jinx: ((*cackles*))
[12:45:27 AM] Jinx: ((Edited the last paragraph a little, cause the wording bothered me just a bit. Some of my words felt repetitive.))
[12:49:29 AM] Yushika: Eire scowled at the look he gave her. What? What was the look for? The movement caused her to flinch, though it was a reaction these days. Nothing more. His hands touched her face and she allowed him to pull it back, though red eyes watched him curiously. His head lowered and her eyes widened, hands raising suddenly, about to stop the movement until his mouth touched hers. The kiss was not one she had expected, if she had a chance to expect one in the first place. Her mouth released a slight sound, perhaps a rejection at first, her mind unable to comprehend what was happening at first, reminding herself of rough lips that had forced their way onto her long ago. Reminding her of cruel nails that slahed and tore.
Yet, that was for a second, until Phrixos' scent reached her. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and then closed, hands slipping into the others hair as a warm wave spread through her back and body. This was what he meant by his woman. This kiss that was far more than she expected was forcing her to understand, and she was unable to reject it. Unable to because she didn't want to. Unable to because she wanted this man. She wanted to be beside him for as long as he needed her, and then as long as he wanted her. She wanted to be beside him and be his, and his hers.
Red eyes were glazed over as he spoke, not really minding what he was saying. Oh, she heard it, but that wasn't as important to her. The second kiss caused the dark haired woman to smile, fingers toying with pink hair as much as possible without slipping it from its style. Perhaps she was stubborn, but perhaps she was glad she had been.
"If I'm stupid then you must be a fool." She smiled as she spoke, soft lips brushing against his. "But, perhaps it's okay to be stupid if you still want me." Her body leaned upwards, though it was difficult from where she was, giving him her own kiss, gentle and soft, like her. She slid out from under his face, sitting up straight and offering a smile that pratically glowed her joy.
"Why don't you come over here and protect me some more?"
[12:51:21 AM] Jinx: ((>w<))
[12:53:47 AM] Yushika: (( >w< All the feels. ))
[12:57:26 AM] Jinx: ((Yes >w< These two... When we finally finish Hugin x Vetis (we can go with plan B instead of mpreg, B might actually be funnier), and get our other RPs done, we need to start up something with these two. They need lifemating RP, and we need second one for all the babies yup yup.))
[12:57:26 AM] Jinx: Phrixos chuckled softly, thumb lightly caressing Eire’s jawline before he removed his hands and allowed her to sit up properly, eyes showing just how warm black could be while still remaining intense. “Sure thing. Your seat might decide to do more than support you, after all,” he teased, placing a hand on the back of the chair for balance and leaped over the back of the chairs rather than walk around them to get into her aisle. He settled down next to her. “If that happens, you can sit on my lap,” he continued, eyes still teasing but voice completely serious.
[12:59:13 AM] Yushika: (( Oh god. I just skhdkahds I love them way too much. ))
[1:01:44 AM] Yushika: She smiled at his comment, letting a few moments to pass before a scream came from the screen. Now, she was known for grinning during an entire horror movie. She was strange. So sweet, yet thrilled when horror movies were played. However, this was the perfect moment to slip into his lap. Shame? No! How long had she wanted to do this with him? To press into him and be held by him? Far too long, and all it took was pink hair dye and a movie she'd barely remember. So, with ease she slipped right into his lap, slipped her head against his shoulder, and decided she would rest right there the entire movie.
Jinx: Phrixos was a little surprised when Eire actually /did/ slip into his lap, but a smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he securely wrapped his arms around her, eyes never leaving the screen but not paying attention to anything other than the woman he held in his arms. He leaned back in his seat, contentment filling his heart. In that moment everything finally felt right, even if he did have pink hair.
