Jeez, that's disturbing at a profound level. So glad you're OK, LOTF! Kind of makes you wonder if there's any credence to, "It's not your time."

And, of course, I just have to tell a story, too ...

Once I was driving along a divided highway with a 55 mph speed limit, just having left the grocery store. A couple of cars ahead of me, a man tried to run across the road and was hit. I can still see the horrible scene in my mind, and I stopped and called 911. I could see that he would probably die, and he did about a week later in the hospital. If I had left the store seconds before I did, and I mean seconds, I would have been the one to hit him. Talk about nightmares for life.

LOTF, glad to hear you are ok! *hugs*

Fresnel, you bring to mind the time I was going to a farewell for a co-worker, and we were coming down 6th, when a jogger ran a light, and this woman ran her over. She flew backwards about 10 feet, and blood was everywhere. The woman in the car looked positively horrified, and onlookers were running into the street to help the lady who was hit. Everything seemed like it was going in slow motion...and I wasn't even an active participant in it. After I saw it, I kept seeing that woman flying backwards onto her face, over and over again.

Stuff like that just stays with you...burned into your retinas...or into your neurons. :/

I'll pass on seeing anything like it again, if I can.

I know exactly what you mean ... I can't erase the sight of this man bouncing along the road like a rag doll. At first, I thought a mannikin had fallen off the back of the pickup truck ahead of me. My kids were with me but they were small and in kid seats, and luckily, couldn't see anything.

Anyway, on a happier note, I'm liking your pirate getup, Jiggy!

Thanks, ladies. I was having a bit of spirited gloves remorse last night, but I think I managed to pull off the piratey bits ok. Too bad I can't stay dressed one way for too long.

I also dressed Khall as a sort of Cossack because he was slacking and not using the credits I bought him. *hmphs*

Boy have I sailed OT. Muchas apologies. However, it kinda reminds me of my accident thread, in that way. Turned into a much happier place after a short while. Which...is to the good, I think.

Yes, yes it did...

I was just noticing the Imperial Death Cheerleaders banner, and I really don't look threatening in any way at all, do I? I suppose that could be to our advantage though... I could be all cute and cuddly and then sneak in *WHAM* for the attack!

That's why you look like a mad-cute bunny boxer?

I just realized that the goblin costume is not as cute with the brown ringlets. *le sigh*

I may have to revert back to a less obtrusive hairstyle at some point. For now, though, and for piratey goodness everywhere...I'm sticking with this one.

Yay! Keep it for as long as possible. It's really very pretty!

Yep, I think I like the pirate outfit best of all! But you need a parrot and a wooden leg!

Can anybody say "new donation items"?

I will probably be dressing up as a pirate irl toward the end of May... all of our Senior Week graduation activities seem to have a pirate theme to them!

I still say we need a plushie monkey...that would work well, if I can't have a Parrot.

We can ask for pirate theme donation items for September 06, since NATLPD is that month.

biggrin

I want pikkers of Pirate Blossom... smile

Or is that Best Cabin Girl Blossom? Or Bosun Blossom...Or First Mate Blossom?

*pokes* I don't think it's Swabby Blossom, or Scabby Blossom.

Hmmm, do we all need pirate names?

Well, I put the suggestion in the item thread.

Someone already suggested a "full pirate theme;"however, as you can see...it's feasible to pull off that style in here without too much to do, and a little gumption.

So, I added:

Plushie Monkey
Plushie Parrot
Peg Leg

And suggested September release. *giggles* Doubt it will do any good but...at least I tried.
