Never judge a hraapea by its size
Name: Fai Ze
Appearance: Beguilingly small and delicate-looking, Fai's lithe build may make his initial 'fierce' reputation waver in the eyes of one who has no knowledge of his full capacity. Despite his slender frame, however, Fai is quite strong and agile enough to bring down adversaries that are more than twice his size. His hair is a dark ebony color, styled so most of it falls to the right covering his right eye; while he keeps most of his hair to a moderate length he keeps one long ponytail on the base of his neck which divides into four distinctive ones further down (in the same fashion the whydah's tail splits) His eyes are of a dark, rich brown hue and his skin is tan. His wings are dark-feathered save for the white pattern on their inside. Fai dresses in lightweight clothing that allows for freedom of movement and leaves much of his skin exposed to fend against the summer heat.
Personality: There are a number of ways to describe Fai Ze, all depending on the different angles that become accessible depending on your approach of him. Therefore, it becomes hard to say for sure which of those facades are most dominant over the rest. Accepting, beforehand that every personality is multi-faceted it and each aspect of it may be distinctly presented according to situations makes things a little easier. Moving on, Fai displays a set of grossly different personae; one of which is worn in privacy and another one when in public. While when alone he may be regarded as a fairly tolerable person, a bit too quiet, perhaps, and ever-contemplating in his silence when placed among a group of people he will become highly eristic and exhibit aggressive behaviour towards any and all in his immediate environment. The sudden change in disposition might derive from being both competitive by nature as well as his inability to keep everything in range in check. This 'aggressive' behaviour may take various forms from an imminent need for heated competition to downright violent, scornful feelings that manifest without a good reason and at the slightest spark of an excuse. As a result Fai Ze finds himself in a number of fights quite often which makes socializing a little difficult. For this reason approaching him requires subtlety and a deal of carefulness as in not to spark his competitive spirit. If he is among people that
he has he hashe has a certain level of familiarity with he returns to his more manageable behaviour.

Name: Alexandr (Sasha) Majere
Age: thirty five
Appearance: A red-headed, brown-eyed bespectacled man. His build isn't that impressive and he can't really boast for any physical abilities although he appears to be really fast when it comes to running (away). His skin is quite a few tones darker than he would like but at least he can't get sunburned easily.
Occupation: A scholar and tutor by trade, he takes great joy into sharing his knowledge with others. Before he dedicated himself to teaching he was helping his family with their pharmaceutical business.
Personality: A young man whose expressions make him exceptionally easy to read; although immersed in the world of knowledge, he is quite clumsy when it comes to interpersonal skills and becomes exceptionally hopeless and awkward when it comes to the topic of love and women. Despite the rather awkward exterior he can become very stern on a number of matters that concern his family, safety and the teaching-learning process. When he is convinced about something he will stand his ground and defend his belief with all he's got -unless you threaten him enough, so he runs away.
History: Sasha was born in the city of Aerr to a loving couple of pharmacists. He grew up having a relatively normal childhood, happy to live in the city, in his small neighborhood with his friends and whatnot... but had always yearned for more knowledge and new sights. As his wanderlust grew with each passing year, Sasha found himself constantly looking for a way out of his dull everyday routine. This 'escape' came in the form of Ciro, a traveling scholar who was conducting research, recording every sort of life form in existence; plants, animals, insects, even bacteria; all were of equal importance to him. Of course, such an arduous task required help. When Sasha heard he was looking for apprentices to take under his wing to help him with his task he was quick to run to him. Other than him the scholar took a young lady along. That girl was Anna, a strong willed young lady, daughter to a famous mechanic who was going to become another great mentor to Sasha, teaching him a lot of things about engineering and martial arts.
Their travels took them far and wide, from the merciless desert to forests to the the sea... until one day, when travelling through the mountains in mid-winter, they came across a village that was going through an epidemic. Ciro told his apprentices to wait behind and went into the village to see if his knowledge could be of any assistance to the people there. He worked restlessly in the village for days on end, helping to treat the ill and assisting the fatigued doctors there, however as the days flew by his own condition gradually worsened. Worried about him Anna followed him, but she quickly succumbed to the illness as well.
All this while, Alexandr waited and watched until he could take no more and forced himself to leave, never having the courage to actually enter the village after his travelling companions and put his knowledge to the test searching for a cure. He would later regret his decision for years on end, and the memory hurts him deeply, even now, whenever he comes to recall it.
After his departure from the mountains, Sasha returned to his hometown and got back to helping his family, let down by the outcome of his journey and the choice he had made. Soon afterwards, as he was seeking a way to both somehow repent for his acts as well as pass down Ciro's knowledge, he became a tutor which he has been to present day.

That is where Fai came from!
The Pin-tailed Whydah, Vidua macroura, is a small songbird. It is a resident breeding bird in most of Africa south of the Sahara Desert.
This whydah is found in many open habitats including open woodland, scrub and cultivation.
It is a brood parasite which lays its eggs in the nests of estrildid finches, especially waxbills. Unlike the Common Cuckoo, it does not destroy the host's eggs. Typically, 2-4 eggs are added to those already present. The eggs of both the host and the firefinch are white, although the whydah's are slightly larger. The nestling whydahs mimic the gape pattern of the fledglings of the host species.
The Pin-tailed Whydah is 12-13 cm in length, although the breeding male's tail adds another 20cm to this. The adult male has a black back and crown, and a very long black tail. The wings are dark brown with white patches, and the underparts and the head, apart from the crown, are white. The bill is bright red.
The female and non-breeding male have streaked brown upperparts, whitish underparts with buff flanks, and a buff and black face pattern. They lack the long tail extension, but retain the red bill. Immature birds are like the female but plainer and with a greyish bill.
The male Pin-tailed Whydah is territorial, and one male often has several females in his small group. He has an elaborate courtship flight display, which includes hovering over the female to display his tail. The song is given from a high perch, and consists of rapid squeaking and churring. The diet of this species consists of seeds and grain.
