Basically what the title says, who is your favorite NFL player, active or retired. I know I have thought this over a few times, and that teams are not great because of one person, but the team as a whole, but I just wanted to do this for fun biggrin
My fav is Jack Lambert, a Pittsburgh Steelers middle linebacker who was with the team for ten years and went to four Superbowls. He is well known for his missing four teeth, and his face became an icon for the Steelers franchise, as well as the spirit of Pittsburgh. My mother actually met Jack when she was pregnant with me, and she said that he acted like a normal guy, not someone you'd expect to have four superbowl rings on his hand. I look up to Jack, cause he's the kind of person I want to be.

Warren Sapp. I've modeled my football career off of him, he was awesome both on and off the field. Other favorites: Derrick Brooks, Chris Hovan, Jared Allen, Matthew Hasselbeck, A.J Hawk.

My favorite active player is Ray Lewis. But my favorite player of all time, without a shadow of a doubt is Joe Montana.

@Nyuupyon- That was pretty awesome. Steve Young is an amazing QB. I remember my first football game. It was a warm September day in 1998, Steve Young and the 49ers played at home against the Altanta Falcons. Second play from scrimmage Young threw the most beautiful pass I've ever seen at a live game. A 50 yard catch and run to Jerry Rice for a Touchdown. That was the same season the Atlanta Falcons would go on to Superbowl XXXIII and loose to the Denver Broncos, but even though they won the NFC that year, that day belonged to Young, Rice, and the 49ers.
@ KTS- I read a report yesterday saying that Coach Harbaugh is actually staying in touch with Smith and continuing to talk to him. He said that a Head coach must analyze everything and look into every option. With the potential lock out hurting chances of grabbing an available QB in free agency, and the 49ers possibly not finding a QB in the upcoming draft they like or feel should start for them in his rookie season, and with only David Carr on the 49ers roster as their QB, John said he's not completely ruling Smith out right now.

Well he is just looking for a backup for a real starter like Kevin Kolb, or he is cockteasing the 49er fans. You know what I remember from the 98 season T.O. saving the 49ers against Brett Favre's Packers.
