Has anybody at all in this guild been accepted openly in their community as a Wiccan?
I haven't.

I've been accepted by my friends, they've been really great about it. And even my parents have learned to live with it. But my peers in school and stuff would never accept it, they don't need anymore reasons to label me as a freak.

I'm accepted by those who know about it, but I don't go telling everyone, exactly. Nor do I hide it so much either, but I am sometimes careful with my words. Living in a relatively good-sized city that has a decent population of Neopagans, I have yet to run into any descrimination for being Neopagan. Perhaps I'm just lucky? whee

Yeah... My family disbanded me, so I can't even be in contact with them, let alone ask for their acceptance. I am out of school, but that doesn't stop my former peers from gathering groups and coming after me with torches and pitchforks. I'm not kidding. It is an annual sport for them, now. Hunting me sweatdrop
Acceptance comes grudgingly, if at all. Be patient, and explain the Wiccan religion thoroughly to them often. It helps with the understanding. And with most people, understanding leads to acceptance. Oh, and sorry about the poll. I wanted to delete it, but it wouldn't let me.

Lucky you. I can barely show my face around the villages who know me. I have to be a nomad. I hate it. As soon as I can make the money I'm going to move to somewhere far away where nobody knows me. Then I might finally have some peace and quiet for once.... sweatdrop But I digress.
Anyone who is accepted by their community, peers, and family are the luckiest wiccans in the world.

Perhaps I'm just lucky? whee I'm basicly in the same situation. Some people don't like it but they can't do anything about it so every thing is pretty peaceful. I just wish my friend didn't think I'm going to hell razz (it's not because I'm Wiccan, but rather because I'm not Christian).

my mom: Would kill me. my dad: does not approve. my sister: Doesnt care but finds it mildly amusing my dad's side of the family: SOme how found out and every one is like "WTF OMG YOU ARE GONNA CONVERT MY CHILDREN!!!!" Which I am not because they said to me. "I wanna lear nmagic! I told mom that i think witche's are god's little helpers, and thats what I believe!" poor, young christian children. though my one uncle thivks its cool. my mom's side of the family: try to understand, actually. o-o well, at least my grandma (which is funny cause she is a strict christian)or laugh it off, calling it a stage or rebellion. O_o
my friends: dont care. if they did, they wouldnt be my friends. my school: Say its stupid, fake, some are scred (i wonder why, too.) or really dont care. It's high school. no one cares about anyone else.

My dad: Thought that he would 'win' by learning everything about wicca before me. Really I thought it was the most awesome Idea ever.... he didn't/
My mom: Is the one who asks me to do rituals for her. The answer is always no- so she goes off and does another annoyingly stupid 'luuv spell'
My siblings: Unless I made money, I could be a talking monkey
My Family biggrin oesn't know.
My Friends: Accept it. But they normally don't ask or assume I am christian.
My School: Thinks I am Christian.... >.>
