Kaden had slept well the entire night, snoring away on the couch. It was as the sun climbed over the horizon to chase away the dark shadows of night that the first change came. The snoring stopped. It was replaced by the sound of groaning as the fisherman started to come awake and was hit by a major headache.
Ugh, what had happened? Kaden reached up to rub at his face, the movement causing the blanket that had covered him to fall off. Where was he? Unfocused eyes opened, blinking rapidly as they tried to make sense of his surroundings. He'd been shopping and then that weird man... Wait! Was he still there?
Kaden sat up with a start, his eyes bringing the room into focus. Yes, he was still at the alchemist's home. And... that light was not right for afternoon or even evening. No, it had to be morning light. He'd slept all afternoon and night? What had he had to drink!?
Now that he was awake, two urges came to his attention. "Great..." he muttered, managing to stand upright despite the pounding headache. Now... where was the bathroom?

Amerald had awoken early that morning as he did usually. He smiled as he began to watch the man who had stayed the night tussle about on his couch. He fixed himself a nice drink and slurped a bit down before heading to the other couch to sit. "Good morning Kaden. I trust you slept well?" he said smiling as the man had begun to awaken and stand. He hadn't even realized that Amerald was sitting a few feet away, had he? Oh boy, this was going to be exciting.
"Would you like something to drink? Maybe some medicine to rid yourself of that nasty little headache? What if I said I had a gift for you?" he said with a grin. He sipped a bit of his morning brew and then set it down again. He stood and walked around to the other side of the kitchen counter, ready to fix anything and everything for this man.
"Hungry? I sure am...lets see...we have toast, eggs, and even pancakes. What would you like?" he asked the man as he peered inside his refrigerator. Yes, he acted as nonchalant as he could but he knew this man may freak out a tad, for he hadn't really known much about him besides the fact that he snores and doesn't talk a great deal. He would sure be talking soon enough.

Kaden gave a bit of a start as he heard a voice addressing him. Turning his head slightly, he saw Amerald sitting nearby. When had he gotten there? Sleep still fuddled the fisherman's head as he tried to make sense of what all the alchemist was saying. Something about a drink... he didn't think he'd want to take that up. And medicine and... a gift and food.
"Ugh... medicine." Yeah, Amerald had mentioned that. "And bathroom." Perhaps this medicine would help him think a bit clearer. He turned to look at the chair again and noticed it was empty. Was he talking to himself? Oh, wait. Kitchen.
Turning (and somehow managing to stay upright), Kaden glanced into the kitchen. Ah, there was the man. "What... did you give me?" He groaned, rubbing his head again.

Amerald smirked as he closed the fridge door and went to a nearby cupboard. He kept the quick medicine in there that he would create himself. He had a few pills in it, so he grabbed a bottle and took a few out, setting them on the clean counter. He then grabbed a glass and filled it with water, setting it down near the pills. "Here you are sir, and there's a glass of water." he said as he went around the kitchen.
"The bathroom is on the outer side of the shop. I figured it would be a good place for the customers, so that they wouldn't invade my home." he said, pointing as though to point the direction of the bathroom to the man. It was in the shop on the opposite side of the wall, a door led to the bathroom with a sign over it suggesting it was a gender shared bathroom.
"We had a wonderful night last night, Kaden. You had so much to drink...as did I...my daughters put us to sleep haha!" he said smiling, wondering if Kaden would believe the lie.
The older man went back to the couch and sat. He patted the cushion next to him, gesturing for the man to sit. "Please come back after you've had your fill. We can talk about breakfast and some...issues...I must discuss with you." he smiled as he took a sip of some water he had with him. Oh, he was excited to get this underway. He then sat patiently awaiting the man to sit.

The fisherman made his way to the counter and quickly downed the pills in hopes of it helping them work faster. Turning, Kaden looked at the wall blankly for a moment as Amerald kept talking. "We did...?" He couldn't remember much other than visiting the shop and something about rocks and then some talk and...
"Your daughter. I remember her. Heh, it seemed like she had big wings and horns. Must've been pretty drunk, huh?" He rubbed the back of his head, grinning a bit.
An eyebrow raised at the mention of issues. What issues? Had he broken something last night? Ugh... he would've asked but the pressure of a full bladder urged him to head towards the shop first and ask questions later.
A few minutes later, he returned, his face still damp from where he'd splashed water on it in an attempt to wake up more. He made his way over to the couch and sat, unsure what had happened last night that would cause Amerald to have a talk with him.

"Quite haha." he said in response to the comment about his daughter. She was definitely awake, as was his other daughter, Amelia. He had checked on them earlier and the two were sitting together in Anna's room talking. He loved the family interaction between them.
He smiled. "We...well...how does one put this sort of thing...we kind of...ummm...made a baby." he said, bursting into laughter at the thought of them two doing such actions. He did mean it though. But he knew that the man wouldn't believe him.
"Follow me." he tried to say, still chuckling as he did. He stood, placed his drink on the coffee table in front and made his way towards the basement. He opened the door and went down, lighting the candles as he normally did, waiting to see if the man would be curious enough to follow him down once again.

Kaden jumped back up off the seat as if his bum had been scalded. "DO WHAT?" That made no sense at all. They were both men! Unless... the fisherman took a closer look at the alchemist. He wasn't some female trying to pretend to be a man, right? The fisherman's mouth opened and closed a few times as he tried to make sense of what had been said.
Kaden was tempted to leave. Obviously this man was crazy or still drunk. But... he'd seemed so serious. It took a few moments before he followed Amerald, hoping for a better explanation. He wasn't going to have to look at rocks again, was he? One thing was for sure, he wasn't drinking anything else until he left this place!!!

Amerald smiled as he saw Kaden walking down the stairs to his basement laboratory. He walked over to the operating table and touched the face of the creation before him. "This, Kaden, is our love child." he said, chuckling a tad and looking down at the little boy whose wings were ruffled. He was still asleep. He had yet to inject the boy with his special serum, but once he did, it would only be a matter of minutes before he was awake and well.
Amerald turned to Kaden, allowing him to view the boy before the awakening. How would Kaden react to seeing an almost dead child on the table? He was definitely not alive quite yet. He hadn't been injected. Amerald smiled and looked at the boy, petting his wings a tad and running his finger over the exotic marking on his forehead. "What do you think? Isn't he precious."

The man hit the bottom of the stairs and just stared, not quite sure what he was seeing. Slowly, he stared walking towards the table, still not quite believing his eyes. What.... was this? A child? But... a child with wings. He frowned as this seemed to connect with something, but he pushed it aside as he drew closer to the child.
Tentatively, he reached out and gently touched the boy's arm, pulling his hand back as if he expected it to burn off or something. "What...? How...? You... me...??" The poor man seemed completely lost for words as he stared back up at Amerald. He opened his mouth again, but shut it as he had no idea what to say.

Amerald began to laugh at the man's confusion. "Oh Kaden, you are quite funny, aren't you? No, you and I didn't create this baby together. I did take him from you, however. And this feather." he said, smiling, grabbing the feather out of his chest pocket and handing it to the man. "I know this seems confusing now, but trust me...you will understand with time." he said, patting the boys chest a tad.
"Well, shall I wake him?" he said, glancing down at the needle he would use to inject the owl boy with. He then turned his gaze back to the man before him. "Isn't he beautiful." Amerald asked the man before doing anything. He wanted to be completely sure that Kaden wasn't going to die on him if he awakened his son in front of him. It was just a matter of moments and the boy would be awake if he injected him. It was up to Kaden however. Did he have other questions? Probably...but those could be answered in time. Amerald was becoming quite anxious to begin.

Kaden blushed as Amerald started to laugh. Well, what else was he supposed to think, with how the man was going on? Wait. "From me?" And a feather? That... was interesting. He reached out and took the brown and white feather, noting that it looked like those in the boy's wings. How did he know this man wasn't pulling his leg and this was from the child?
The fisherman glanced up from the feather and his thoughts at the question about waking him. He followed the man's gaze to a needle. What sort of waking did the poor child need? Though, now that he was a bit more aware of it, Kaden noticed that the boy didn't seem to be quite alive...
"What does that do?" He asked, gesturing to the needle. It wasn't going to do some weird thing to the boy, was it? Well, other than apparently bring the kid to life.

Amerald swayed back and forth slightly, looking at the boy and then back to Kaden, listening to what he had to say. "Yes, this boy has come from your DNA." he said, a smile growing on his face.
He pushed the pure white locks out of his face and then looked back at the needle. "Well, as you can see, he isn't the most bouncing baby boy that most children his age should be. He's rather limp...dead to be completely honest." he began, running his hand down the boys chest and stomach. "Using that needle there, we can awaken him, make him that bouncing bundle of joy that he so desperately deserves." he concluded. The boy wasn't dressed, he merely had a wrap around his lower half and was lying dead. Amerald smiled down at him. He was a cute little boy. His markings were special. Amerald hadn't seen many of these types of hraapea before. This boy was special, and he hoped Kaden would treat him as such.

Kaden glanced at the boy, still so still and lifeless upon the table. Amerald's explanation made some sense, though the fisherman wasn't sure just how that needle would bring something so... dead to life. Even once the child was awakened, it was unlikely he'd be a 'bouncing baby boy'. After all, the child looked to be at least 7 or 8 years old already. Kaden's brain was hurting from the thinking that it had been doing since he'd woken up. Was he still dreaming? A pinch and, nope, he was definitely awake.
He stared at the child for a few moments before nodding. "Okay." He wasn't sure what to expect, but no point in waiting longer to find out, right?

Amerald nodded and smiled. He picked up the needle and then grabbed the boy's arm, turning it to the side. He poked the needle in and compressed it, allowing the liquid to freely join with the blood that was inside. It just needed to make its way down the bloodstream on its own until it hit the heart.
Within a few moments, Amerald placed his hand on the boys chest, feeling the heartbeat begin. "Ah, it's done. Feel it." he said, taking his hand off the boy and smiling. He was happy that yet another hraapea would be born. Amerald felt accomplished and quite happy that he had done so much. It was only a matter of time before the boy awoke.

Kaden watched, amazed that that was all it took to bring this child from death to life. "That's... it?" It seemed to him that something more... drastic was needed. Then again, the youngster had never truly been alive before. Not that he knew of, anyways. He moved closer to place his own hand over the child's chest, startled to feel the beating underneath. There was life within, though the body still lay still and unmoving.
The man glanced back up towards Amerald, then to the child again. This alchemist was a bit frightening. To bring life from a feather... it seemed to be some sort of crazy dream.
