In silence, Svetlanna strolled down the pavilion of Aerr. Emerald eyes scanned the area around her and the people roaming about with purpose for any signs of trouble ahead or possible ambush for autographs. She didn't mind signing them mind you, but such attention did tend to be rather overwhelming. Finding that everything was fine, she adjusted her sun hat, whose brim stretched out blocking the sun from her face and also hiding the upper half from view. Currently her goal was to reach the station so that he might catch a train to the Town of Nuan.

She was scheduled for a performance there later that night but she was leaving mid-day for two reasons. One, she wanted to get there early to rehearse a few times and spend what time she had left before the performance to explore the town. It would be something new for her just as any experience was.

Hot, so hot was the new blade he was making that it was already falling apart. Jonas struck the metal as quickly as he could to mold it only to find that it was falling apart. He stopped and stared silently at the giant gap between the middle of the metal. His old blue eyes picturing what the finished product should of been. Sighing he pushed the wasted metal into a bucket. He'll have to get the formula right. "If at first you don't succeed say ******** it and come back later." He said out loud to himself as he walked out of his shop to the open street still covered in sweat.

As he stood still with his cigar in his hand ready to light it looked up after something caught his peripheral vision and he turned to catch a look of Svetlanna. He blinked in shock as he realized who she was, his favorite opera singer. He quickly put his cigar back into his pocket and rushed over to her. "Excuse me miss." He said his voice calm and steady as he spoke, he doubted it was actually the Svetlanna.

A voice, deep and as smooth as velvet with an underline hoarseness danced about her ears causing her to stop fast in her tracks. Her eyes once again scanned the area and when she found nothing coming from in front of her, she looked off to her left and noticed a man coming towards her. He was an older gentlemen, though one could barely tell. The years had been kind to him. Perhaps his natural musky scent mixed with the cologne he wore, gave it away. Either way his scent was pleasant to her nose and she had to admit, he was rather handsome.

Turning to him fully now, she waiting for the gap between them to close, while her hand neatly folded themselves together. "Yes sir?"

As Jonas got closer his doubt kept dissipating with each step and a smiled appeared on his face. When she spoke he would of melted if he was back in his young days. Now though beautiful women didn't phase him. As he got close he bowed to and reached out to take her hand and kiss it.

"I am truly amazed madam Svetlanna! Of all your concerts I attended I never imagine I'd meet you. Sorry for being so rude, I'm a very large fan of yours." he said calmly. He let go of her hand and stood up straight wishing he hadn't just stopped working.

Well this was a pleasant encounter compared to the rest. It actually drew forth a genuine smile to her features. She watched as he took her hand and kissed it. He spoke with such respect and etiquette yet suddenly apologized for being rude. She couldn't help but tilt her head to the side with slight confusion. A soft chuckle slipped passed her lips as she was rather amused.

"I thank you kind sir. Your words and over all behavior is flattering. You do not have to be so formal with me nor do you have to apologize for being rude. You've nothing wrong nor have you done anything to offend me. It is a pleasure to have met you."

"Yes well if I was younger you would be saying the opposite of that madam. If I wasn't behaving myself I'd be annoying the guards for letting such a important woman walk alone like this." He said taking note of the smile. If it was faked she was a master of it.

"It's a pleasure for me to meet the owner of that beautiful voice. I am Jonas Valentine. It's a honor to tell you my name Ms. Svetlanna." he said bowing once again before his smiled widen. "I was wondering...would it be alright if a old wretch like me escort you to where ever your headed?" He asked the hope was in his eyes.

"There is nothing wrong with wanting to make sure that the guards are on their toes and trying to keep a young lady safe."

She listened intently as he spoke, finding something comforting about his voice. Something about it reminded her of her father though Jonas had an air of fun about him. He bowed again and again she smiled. "Just as it is an honor to learn your name Mr. Jonas. Also, just call Svetlanna. We are both equals, so you have no need to call me Ms."

She considered his request and saw nothing wrong with the gesture. In fact, she wouldn't mind at all. She would at least have someone to converse with. "So long as escorting me does not keep you away from anything important, I wouldn't mind your company."

"Yes I do it a lot. If I was still a guard all those sorry excuses would be on their best or they'll be getting to know Snapper hounds personally." He said his voice had a wistful air to it but it quickly went away.

He watched her silently as she spoke thinking back to all of her concerts he went too. She was the only opera singer he could bear listening too. "Well Svetlanna I guess were equal in certain ways." He said nodding his head.

He laugh a little at what she said, most important thing he done today was look at some metal. "My work can be done anytime. A weaponsmith in this town that isn't either supplying the guards or is a master shop got the entire day off virtually."

"Well if that's the case, perhaps you can attend my performance tonight in the Town of Nuan. I have to confess, I'm happy to be performing out of the city. While I don't mind performing her or for the royals, getting out is that much better. Then again, I have always yearned to travel lands far and wide when I'm not singing."

She turned and began walking once again, though her stride was not fast nor was it slow. It was just enough to get here where she needed to go in a decent amount of time but not enough to make Jonas speed walk to keep up with her. It was an even pace.

"So tell me, just how do you make a blade. Do you sketch out what it should look like first?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 21, 2010 8:22 pm

"I would enjoy that. I haven't been to Nuan since I had to deal with a pack of Hissing hounds." He said smiling at the memory. "If you really want to travel the lands that most people don't see join the guards. They get sent into the deep bush for days."

He sideways at her see that she was walking at an even pace with him. That made him wonder slightly, normally people walk in front or behind slightly depending on their personality.

"Depends. Common blades you don't, custom ones you do. I know one guy who spent a large fortune just to have an artist sketch the blade he wanted to make. I can't really draw so I just sketch it in my head." He said shrugging slighlty.

"Oh?"

She nearly chirped. This bit of information was interesting indeed and got her a bit excited. Though she didn't have the heart to ask him if he could show her around the town. She already felt like a bother as it where.

"That's rather foolish to pay a large sum of of money for a simple sketch. I understand that one must make a living, but that's just being greedy. Artists should want to share the talents for little to nothing at all. If it means having to work a second job then so be it."

He looked at her with a smile, somethign he said caught her interest either the town or the dogs did. "Yea, very pretty lake. They say that even during winter it stays warm due to some volcano or something at hte bottom of it. I fought the dogs a nice little distance for their."

"Really it's not. If your a really into it you'll pay as much as they want. They want to create a perfect weapon that probably wont even draw blood. Basically the same as spending thousands on adequate materials to make it.

"Yes but if the blade does not draw blood then really it is not a perfect weapon. It is simply some fancy over sized paper weight or wall ornament that has the appearance of a sword. Spending thousands on adequate materials to make such a thing would be a waste of funds but if it was spent on something that was actually going to be put to use, that's a different scenario all together."

Eventually the two arrived at the train station and Svetlanna immediately went to the line to purchase the tickets needed. She was willing to do this as it was a last minute decision for Jonas to accompany her the entire way and back so it was the least that she could do.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 22, 2010 3:03 pm

"Hmm, your very right." He said smiling, he had that sort of view himself. He never made a weapon that hasn't been put to some use.

As he watched her buy the ticket a though crossed his mind. She was a very respected woman, she might of heard something about these Hraapea that he was so interested in. When she came back he gave her another smile. "Thank you so much. I have a question...have you heard anything about "Hraapea"?" He asked.

"No need for thanks. It was the least I could do as I really didn't give you much of a notice. I simply couldn't have you paying for your own ticket."

She nodded her head as a matter of factly to drive the point home. When Jonas made mention of Hraapea her brows furrowed. Not because she was angry or disgusted. It was because she knew she heard that word before and she was trying to remember where. Aha! That was is. She had heard about it some months ago and to be honest, she was rather interested all the while doubtful...or was she afraid? She had thought about becoming a guardian for one but something told her that she wouldn't be good enough and shouldn't bother. That something being the self doubt that had plagued her for all these years.

"Yes I have though I doubt it more information than what you've obtained. Everyone seems so hush hush about it like it's something horrible."
