Is it wrong to go all out nerd-kid and get a Pokemon(or anything Anime) backpack just for the hell of it for Freshman year? I mean, the people I know at my school consider me weird beyond belief(a little exaggeration there), so would that make a huge dent in my nonexistent reputation at Highschool? I would probably do this anyways no matter what someone tells me lolz Just wanting some opinions =D

Psssh, setting an image is what it's all about it HighSchool. You wanna wear a Pokemon backpack, wear a Pokemon backpack.
I wear mitch-matched shoes and an awfully V-necked jacket/sweater to school everyday, and I'm a Sophomore. Nothing to setting an image. Nothing to it.

What I wore to school everyday of high school.
- plain black t-shirt
- my grandfathers old leather greaser jacket
- dark blue pants
- pant chains
- black leather shoes
- shaggy,messed up, long blond hair.
- black backpack
- pocket knife
- game boy color with a Pokemon game
I wore all that because it made me feel cool not because it made me look "gangsta" or whatever the ******** they call popularity now.
EDIT: oh yeah I also wore boxers and socks.
do what you feel is cool instead of conforming to the psychological validations of the majority

My high school rep is already set. I'm a skater who doesn't skate. That's how a lot of band kids are here.
I make rude comments, and talk about Pokemon all the time. People don't mess with me. It's pretty nice.

It's not wrong, just really cool.
I suppose in some neighborhoods it'll get you attention you dont want, but that's life.
I liked to go in costumes in highschool. It was fun...and funny how people react too the different visages. The black band painted over my eyes attracted the most attention.

I go to school in...a uniform sweatdrop . School year that just finished was:
-Really ugly, uncomfortable brown leather school shoes
-Brown vest(well, usually I just skip the vest and wear either a gray, sparkly silver, and white striped jacket or a gray pullover hoodie)
-White polo
-Green/brown/yellow plaid skirt
-ugly half-way-up-calf white socks
Or on Fridays, class shirt and jeans and gray gingham converse.
So just wear whatever you want^^.

When I was in high school, I wore whatever was comfortable, and whatever I thought made me look cool to myself. If anyone had a problem, my friends and I would kick their poser asses.... But I don't recommend you kick any a** for the sake of your high school career.........
What I'm trying to say is... Just be yourself, and if anyone has a problem, then they're not your friends and it's not worth the trouble to try and impress them. You don't want to mold yourself around their standards because that just makes you a fake, and you'll be miserable for it.

All i wore was..
-Boxers
-Socks
-Blue or Black shirts
-Black jacket-sweater thing.
-Black or blue pants
Guess what my favorite colors are lol.

Bleach, Deathnote a Full Metal backpacks, satchel and totes are popular here with the anime crowd.
Pokemon and Sailon Moon have a retro-chic to them.
Hello Kitty is always cool.
Have you seen the Gara giant gourd backpack? I'm not a Naruto fan, but it's really cool.

Some people take High School WAY too serously... For me I don't care what people think, good things or bad things I just don't care, I don't talk to people that much either (but thats just because of Asberger's Syndrome). I don't know about your school, but at mine we have a gamers club, were you can: Play Magic TG, play video games, or just socialize with others who the majority of the people see as "unfit" to talk to. I sugest finding a "nerdy" kind of teacher to set up a club like that. Belive me it definily helps. biggrin
(Just remember you have your whole life ahead of you after High School, I'll be a seinor next year and remebering that helped me to survive!!!)

Always look like your expensive when in the social setting. Just a little. And if you decide to socialize with people that also like what you like, wear the ******** back pack.

In my school you would get bullied for not having a brand. It totally depends on the place I think. I shouldn't get a pokémon bag pack... My old class'mates' would make you the launching stock.

girls used to get in fights all the time at my old high school because of what backpacks they wore. but usually because it was they had the same backpacks...
But for two years i wore a ten foot long red scarf, and it was awesome.
I made it, and made it trendy, and then it was in Pokemon DP. 'cause i'm that awesome.
