Business of the Library
When walking through the library door,
watch for speeding students.
Every computer is always occupied,
people typing fast and checking Myspace.
Some respectable people still quietly whisper,
others practically scream to borrow an eraser.
Everytime you take a seat,
to study for a class.
Someone will set off,
the noisy scensor.
The library used to be quiet sacred area,
in a lost land of the written word.
It has now been tainted by the everyday,
busy business of college students.
Then it will get eerie and quiet,
so much you can hear a page turn.
Can you look at the time?
It's ten past, everyone is in class.
aaaaaahh, silence.
Damn, now your late for class.
