Trying To Find A DateInfo: This I wrote for a contest somewhere in Gaia. I made a few copies and had my friends and teacher read it. I got some good feedback, so I like it. I do, however, plan to edit it a bit. I want more interaction between the two main characters. But I'll save that for another day.

In a packed night club somewhere in the big city, darkness is broken by streams of colors and strobe lights. Music pulses through the air, as bodies move against each other with the beat. Fro a seat at the bar, a man watches the crowd, his eyes dark with an emotion deep and powerful. His drink, some clear liquor, sits on the counter beside him, untouched. His gaze drifts from person to person in the swarming mass of people. A woman passes in front of him, distracting him. His eyes follow her as she moves quickly to a stool a few seats down from him. He watches as she mumbles her order to the bartender. Her short red dress rises up on her thigh as she crosses her legs carefully. The man licks his licks and, after glancing once more at the pulsating crowd, stands and walks towards her.

She was sipping a martini as he approached, her dark lipstick leaving a perfect print on the thin glass.
"Hello." He said in a deep, seductive voice.
She looked up from her drink and gave him a grim smile. "Hi." she said flatly.
He raised his eyebrows at her smoothly. "Is everything alright?"
Letting out a delicate snort, the woman took a large swig of her drink.
He sat on the stool beside her. "Aw, what's wrong baby?" He asked, his voice slick with open interest. She laughed shortly, "Life."
The mans smile widened. "Well, little lamb, why don't you come with me? Maybe I can help you with that little...problem."
The girl looked up again, this time with almost tearful eyes. She gave a little smile and nodded. "I'm Mari." she said quietly as he helped her off the stool. Her tiny red shoes kept them at almost the same height, which surprised him, being very tall himself.
"My name is Alons." He said, leading her towards the exit.
She smiled "What a romantic name."
"Do you not think Mari is...romantic?" Alons asked as they stepped out into the cold, crisp air. Mari shook up head, looking up at the night sky.
"Well I think it is beautiful. Come." He led her silently down the block, turning into a small alley.
"Where are we going?" Mari asked, wrapping her arms around herself.
Alons stopped and turned to her. He ran his hand along her shoulder. "Come, little lamb, let me help you with your life...problems."
He held out his hand.
With uncertain eyes, Mari glanced behind herself. They weren't fully in the alley yet, but they were far enough that they wouldn't be seen. A single light bulb burned orange above her. Alons stood only steps in front of her, and he was still at the edge of the lights circle.
Letting out a shaky breath, Mari put her hand over his
Alons smiled again, this time unpleasantly. With a jerk he pulled Mari close, his free arm quickly encircling her waist. She gasped, but was halted as his mouth covered hers in a forceful kiss. He spun quickly and moved forward, pushing Mari's back into the cold, hard brick of the alley wall.
"You" he said in between hard kisses "are the most sexy, succulent piece of girl I have ever seen. Absolutely delicious. And that, dear, is quite a compliment."
"The hand that gripped Mari's tightened as Alons moved his other arm, slowly raising it to her chest. Mari's already large eyes widened in fear as his hand squeezed her breast. She tried to struggle, but couldn't move. One arm was held by his hand, the other was trapped behind his back with nothing within reach. His mouth moved from hers, down her chin and neck. She took a deep breath, ready to scream. A sharp pain in her neck made her stop. She looked down to see his dark eyes filled with a cruel amusement. "You make a peep and I'll rip your throat out here and now. None of this would be painful if you would just...cooperate."
His gaze moved to her throat and his tongue flicked over his teeth. With hungry eyes he licked the side of her neck. Mari shuddered in revulsion. With determined effort she pulled up her leg sharply, kneeing Alons right on target. His body stiffened, eyes closing in obvious pain. But his grip on Mari did not falter, no matter how much she struggled. His eyes opened slowly, looking directly at her with a new sort of hatred and hunger. "Well little lamb," he said, his voice a low rumble "seems you have a bit more spite in you after all. I didn't see that at first. Well then, I guess we should skip the foreplay."
With that he moved his hands quickly and pulled her body hard away from him. She stumbled and fell a few yards to the side. As an instinctive reaction she pulled herself up, whimpering in pain as she limped away from her attacker.
"Oh don't run little lamb." Alons said, walking slowly towards the scared girl. Mari kept going, realizing too late that she had gone the wrong way. She moaned as she came in contact with a solid brick wall. It was a dead end. An abandoned car was left, broken and useless, in one corner. The alley was empty except for the young girl and the man chasing her.
"Don't worry young one," Alons said in a voice almost sincerely attempting to reassure her "this will only hurt if you make it."
Mari backed against the wall as Alons approached, her breath fast and eyes wide. "Please..." She whispered, pleading.
Alons tisked, shaking his head. His fingers went straight to her neck, stroking the skin lightly.
"Ssshh little lamb." He breathed into her ear. He pulled back slightly, gazing into her frightened face. Mari whimpered, making Alons smile once more.
Suddenly Mari's expression changed. Her eyes opened normally, her eyebrows furrowing in anger. "Get...off...me." She growled, her voice deep and furious.
"Oh now, don't be mad." Alons cooed, his fingers lingering above her breast.
With a loud, angered cry Mari's arm snapped up, grabbing Alons by his silk collar.
"How dare you!" She yelled, lifting him by his shirt. His feet dangled as she held him up. "You piece of dirt!"
With inhuman strength Mari threw the man to the side. The sound of shattered glass echoed through the alleyway as Alons collided with the car window. Letting out a surprised groan he fell to the ground.
Mari stalked towards him slowly. "How dare you assume you are worthy to be with me."
She reached down, pulling him up and pushing him against the car.
"You, you piece of slime, forcing yourself on women because they don't want you. You b*****d!" With a scream she spun him around and let go, letting him fly backwards and slam into the opposite wall.
Alons, his body scraped and broken, slid down the wall into a heap on the dirty ground. His slick, oily hair fell over his face as his already bruised head slumped to the side.
"No!" Mari barked, coming to a kneel in front of the crumpled man. "Wake up." Her hand slammed across his face with a loud crack.
With a groan his eyes opened slowly. Mari gripped his shirt with both hands and pulled him up.
"Please...please don't..." Alons moaned. Mari's eyes widened in outrage.
"How dare you!" With her free hand she slapped him again with full force. "How dare you plea for you life! How dare you ask for mercy when you would have shown none to me only minutes ago!"
She pinned him against the wall carefully, his head to the side so his neck was fully exposed.
"You are not worthy of my body! Or my gift!"
With a quick movement of her jaw, Mari opened her mouth abnormally wide. Her canine teeth began to grow. In moments they were long, sharp fangs that barely fit inside her own mouth.
Alons' eyes were round as saucers, filled with more terror than the pretend fear Mari had held in her own eyes almost moments ago.
With a low, guttural growl Mari reared her head back and plunged her fangs into the mans neck. Blood poured into her mouth as her teeth did their own work.
She could feel the blood already pumping through her own veins. For a moment Alons struggled, a gurgled cry stuck in his throat. But he quickly fell limp in Mari's arms. She shuddered at the ecstasy of feeding that filled her body. Multiple tremors of pleasure ran through every part of her being as she took the life of this pathetic excuse for a human being.
With a pleasured gasp she let the empty shell of Alons go. The body fell to the floor in a heavy, dead mound.
Mari breathed deeply. The scent of newly spilled blood still filled the air. The feeling of hot, fresh life juice pulsed through her loins. She took deep breaths of the cool night air, trying to calm her shaking body.
She looked down at the corpse at her feet.
"When will I find the man worthy of my gift? The man who will share the pleasure I feel as I make him like me. Why have I not found a single one who deserves it? Or deserves me?"
She lifted her heeled foot, giving the body an angry kick. "Damn you." she whispered to the night.
Slowly she left the alley. Wiping her mouth she re-entered the club, giving the bouncer a seductive smile as she slipped past him.
Once again at the bar, she ordered another martini. She hid her scraped knee under the counter as it healed itself.
Moments later a girl came up to the bar, sitting beside Mari.
"Hey M, find anyone yet?" she asked, raising her hand to get the bartenders attention.
Mari shook her head, eyes never leaving her drink.
"No?" The girl asked, surprised. "I've seen you leave with three guys already. None of them were good?"
Mari's lips curved at the intended pun.
She sighed. "I told you this club idea wasn't going to work. There just aren't the right kind of guys in a place like this. It's just not that easy for a vamp to find a boyfriend."
The end.
For now...
