Seeing as I can't really let you all live on the street, this is where you will all live during your time here in squad 8. You will each have your own room on one of the five floors. Each room has a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a bed for you to sleep in.
There are also hotsprings out back for you all to relax in after a hard days work. It is seperated into two sections, one for men and one for women. Make sure to post here once in a while and give your character some time to rest and relax. It's always important to RP in something other than a battle. Just PM me for a room. Okay then, enjoy!

Despite having his own homely abide outside of the Sereitei, Kinsetsu felt the need to display the camadarie that would aid this grouping of shinigami function as one. He was quite impressive by the 5 story facility that certainly could hold all the newly acquired members. From his discussion with Tansen he would have a rather private 5th floor, save for one shinigami who would be at the other end of the floor. He approached the exterior and gazed above the wooden fence that led to the backyard. To his surprise he saw steam rise from what he assumed to be hotsprings. They certainly are well funded in Squad 8 he thought. With view of the exterior done it was time to enter his new quarters.
The door opened and he immediately headed for the stairs. As he reached the 3rd floor, he could not help thinking of the poor decision of his to seek isolation upon the 5th floor. Reaching to peak of the building he headed down the well light hallway to the far extent of the passage. Opening the fourth and final room on the floor he was amazed by the spacious living quarters, it certainly made his Avalon cabin look like a telephone booth. Although empty for the moment, beyond the desk and bed he was quite pleased by what he had seen. Potentially it would not be such an awkward stay for the shinigami who had trouble creating bonds.

Ichiran walked into the baracks, his arm in a sling from his recent training with Kinsetsu-Fuku taichou. He went up to the 3rd floor, where he walked into the fourth room and dropped his zanpaku-to on his bed as he sat down and breathed a sigh of relief. It's good to be back. He thought to himself as he stripped off his cloak and lay on the bed underneath the covers, drifting into sleep.

Ichiran awoke within an hour. He had never been one for sleeping when work needed to be done. He got up, dressed and put his zanpaku-to on his belt as he went to the kitchen and began to make a bowl of ramen. Before he did, however, he decided that he wasn't hungry enough for this, so instead he grabbed the jug of sake that he always kept under the counter. He took a swig of it and then put it in his cloak as he left his room for the training grounds. As he was walking down the stairs, he saw the room arrangements, and realized that Kinstetsu actually had a room here. With a small smile, Ichiran turned around and wen tback upstairs, heading for the fourth room of the fifth floor. He knocked on the door as he took another swig of the sake. I hope i'm not disturbing him. Ichiran thought to himself. As a precautionary measure, Ichiran took his zanpaku-to about 2 inches out of his sheath as he waited for a reply.

As suddenly he had arrived and began to feel comfortable within his new atmosphere, a knock was heard on his door. With slight irritation, he headed over to greet the individual at his door. No wonder I liked my isolated forest better To his surprise it was Ichiran one of the newest squad members who he likely had been a bit too harsh on during a training session. It was rather apparent as he noted the arm that was within the sling and bandages.
"I hope your arm is not too bad. I'm rather sorry to see you in such a state, but you did quite well back there." He let off a smile to hopefully ensure the morale of the young shinigami would remain high. "It is clear that you have come to discuss therefore come in and would you like a glass of water?" He himself was one of youngest shinigami and didn't drink alcoholic beverages at all.

Ichiran bowed as Kinsetsu opened the door, and he discreetly used his elbow to slip his zanpaku-to all the way back into it's sheath. "Hello, Vice captain. My arm is fine, thank you for asking." Looking around, Ichiran shuffled his feet, not sure how to approach this subject. With an awkward smile, Ichiran looked at Kinsetsu and said, "It is my understanding that i'm now elligable to learn Shikai, and since our Captain is out right now, i was wondering if you could teach it to me."

Returning with a glass of water in hand he listened as Ichiran put forth great effort to speak his mind. What would come from his mouth was certainly something of great importance for him. He focused attentively to demonstrate he took every word of Ichiran seriously. As the short speech ended he was left with a difficult task. How could he reply without defeating the spirit of the young shinigami? To simply request shikai to occur even through training could not be done. When someone obtained shikai through the trial and tribulations of combat it was because it was their time, not due to simply requesting it to occur. He, nor any other highly ranked individual had the power to give shikai, they could however determined when they felt a shinigami was on the verge of attaining it. In Ichiran's case he was still relatively knew and his grasp of reaitsu and spiritual pressure was certainly raw. For him to achieve shikai at this tenure would be near impossible. However he did not wish to defeat the spirit of the shinigami and chose each word carefully as he responded.
With great deliberation he began to speak. "Ichiran my comrade, shikai you must understand is not something that comes simply by request. You will slowly attain such an awakening with greater understanding of oneself. Taking that into note do not despair as we can aid you to understand yourself better. I will shortly become capable of teaching Kido's to you and other squadmates. With that ability to teach I should be holding a training session for all members to learn certain Kido's they may not know. By learning more advance kido's it can become a tool to understanding yourself better and achieving shikai that much faster. If I see that moment, potentially even after such a kido training, I will gladly offer to assist in your quest for shikai."
He placed his hand upon Ichiran's shoulder and smiled. "Is there anything else you would like to ask?"

The dissapointed Ichiran looked down at his shoes, embarrased by his eagerness. He fiddled with the hint of his zanpaku-to for a second, as he remained silent on the subject. With a small chuckle, Ichiran reached into his robe and took out the bottle of sake, taking another drink from it, he said, "Well then, i supposed my trip here was in vain. I would however like to spar again, sometime soon. My sword arm is still fine, so you need not worry about that." Ichiran sensed an air of awkwardness in the air, so he looked over at Kinsetsu and stood up. "I'm sorry to speak bluntly, but unless i'm mistaken, i'm disturbing you." Ichiran said, standing in the middle of the room.

Humming quietly to herself, Sonia strode through the barracks that her squadmates resided in. The young blonde was walking along the hallway of the top floor when she passed a room that had a sharp reiatsu to it. Her senses kicking into hyperdrive, the shinigami figured that the room's occupant must be her replacement.
The reiatsu signature of a lieutenant was stronger than the other seated members of a squad and while the energy in the room was still rather raw she could tell that there was a great deal of potential lurking behind the door. 'I wonder...' Sonia mused to herself quietly, considering if she should acquaint herself with the new fuku-taicho. She didn't begrudge him his position, or the fact that he had redecorated her office; after all time moves on and those incapable of accepting that were doomed to be swallowed up by it.
No, what troubled the blonde was what her replacement might think of her. Did he think poorly of her for relinquishing her title due to circumstances beyond her control? Did he admire her thirst for knowledge that had been displayed by the number of encyclopedic texts that had formerly resided in her office? Was he totally indifferent to her in all regards?
The puzzle that he presented proved too much to resist, standing beside the closed door of the fuku-taicho's apartment Sonia chose to wait and pay the enigmatic man a visit.
