The great Mizukage Building, finally recontructed, stands tall once more, as if nothing had ever occured. The windows behind the desk offer a great view of the fog-shrouded village below. Maps, battle plans and glass bottles lay across the desk. If you've been summoned here, you'd better hope it's because you're being given a mission! Needless to say, the leader of the Blood-Mist Village is ruthless beyond comprehension and with a temper to match! Upon entering, one would also notice a strong scent of sake in the air...

A woman, roughly sixty years old, with long silver hair sits at the desk of the Mizukage, gulping down the contents of a glass bottle. As she finishes, she sets it down on her desk with a rather hard thud. "Ahhhhh...That's tha stuff! Nathin like good hard liquor befor I get to work! A'right. Wha we got here." she said as she turned her attention to the paperwork laying on her desk. Most would think a sixty-year-old woman would have kind features, be hunched over even slightly, have a relatively softer, calmer voice- NOT SUIJIN KITAGAWA!!
A young, musty-red-haired woman came stumbling through the door. "S-sorry I'm late Lady Mizuka- AHK!" Before she could even complete her sentence, she had to dodge a bottle of sake that had been whipped at her head. It shattered on the wall in the hallway behind her. Then she had to catch the papers that were thrown at her.
"Go send these summons and tell Mizuchi to come here." she ordered, not even looking up at her assistant.
"Y-yes, ma'am!" and she bolted back out.
Mizukage Suijin sighed and pulled out another bottle of sake out.

Mizuchi lept onto the window of the Mizukage's office. "You wanted to see me, Lady Mizukage?"
She smiled as she heard his vioce. "Yes I did."
"What about? Trouble, mission?" he inquired with a wide toothy grin, showing off his pointed shark-like teeth.
She eyed him with a smirk. "Sort of a mission. As of today, you're going to be a sensei."
"WHAT!? Why me? I already have a bunch a whiney brats to look after back home! Now ya want me to put up with kids at work too???" Despite that comment about his kids, Mizuchi did love his children very much.
"Yes. I do." She said again. "Your students will be Ren Niigata and Amaya Senju Miyagi, though Ren is currently in the hospital."
"What for?"
"We don't know yet, he hasn't said. Probably another mugging." she said sternly. For a long while, she had been trying to put a leash on crime in Kiri's slums, but it wasn't easy. And in the end, they were only able to bring it down by a small percent.

A m a y a S e n j u M i y a g i Since Amaya had received the note from the crow back in the Housing District she made her way to see Lady Mizukage. The old hag wasn't as bad as some people thought. Even though she did drink a lot and had her moments, she kept the Village in a rather safe. It was almost impossible to keep the crime rate in the Village low, since all the bandits inhabited the area.
A small yawn escaped Amaya's lips as she wondered why Lady Mizukage wanted to see her. She hoped it was something important and not time consuming since she wanted to get back to her manga.
Being a Shinobi meant putting time and effort into everything that's done and being able to improve one's strength and chakra, something this particular student didn't want to put time into. "What a drag..." She mumbled as she approached the building.
Upon entering she knocked on Lady Mizukage' door before entering. She could smell the scent of sake even though she was wearing her mask! Amaya glanced around the room before stepping forth, being careful not to step on the shattered glass. "You wanted to see me Lady Mizukage?" She bluntly asked, paying no attention to the male that was also present in the room. He seemed familiar but she wasn't good with names or faces. Her hands remained in her pocket as she stared blankly at Mizukage waiting for a reply. It doesn't matter where you come from Nor what happened back in the past It doesn't matter who you were then What matters is who you are right now What you learned from your mistakes What matters most, is who you want to be

Before she could enter an attendant at the front desk called to her in a rather bored- annoyed voice, "Hay! Amaya-chan! Don't go bugging the Mizukage! She's not in a good mood. I was asked to relay the following information to you." The girl with the fake smile warned as she slid an envelope towards her.
The letter enclosed was very official looking- detailing the fact that her teacher was not currently available due to an untimely end during a recent mission. She was instructed to head to the Udai Council to file a grievance. It was believe that a missing ninja by the name of "Byakko". The enclosed form will dispatch a Udai Team to hunt him down and eliminate him.

A m a y a S e n j u M i y a g i Amaya turned around when she heard her name being called and stared at the secretary. When the envelope was handed to her she took it in her hand and waited a few minutes before actually opening it. She unfolded the paper that was inside and read it before putting it back into the envelope. "You're kidding..." She mumbled, looking at the woman.
"You want me to head to the Udai Council?" She paused and then continued. "To file a grievance?" A small sigh escaped her lips as she folded the envelope and slipped it into her pocket. Why was she the one being sent to file a complaint? There were other things she could spend her time doing besides complaining about some ninja named Byakko. She could be at the pond reading or sleeping.
"What exactly is it that you want me to write?" Amaya asked, not sounding the least bit excited to be going out on such a minor errand. She wasn't very attached to her old Sensei so it wasn't like it would make much of a difference to her if they were dead or not. It doesn't matter where you come from Nor what happened back in the past It doesn't matter who you were then What matters is who you are right now What you learned from your mistakes What matters most, is who you want to be

The attendant shrugged, "Sorry I don't have a clue. I was only told to make sure you got that information and meet up with your escort at the Village Gate. He should be getting back from his last mission shortly so you might wanna make an effort to double time it to the gate if you don't want to be late." She suggested with a little vinegar in her voice. She obviously wasn't to fond of her job and the genin's questions weren't helping the situation.

A m a y a S e n j u M i y a g i Without another word Amaya turned her back to the attendant and headed out. There was no use in asking her any more questions if she didn't have any answers. And just as she, this woman didn't seem to like her assignment. And as for being late, there was no such thing as being on time for Amaya. She was the type to arrive late, most of the time. Mizuchi just sighed and sat down on the window sill. "Any particular reason why you're chosing me to be a sensei?"
The Mizukage didn't look up from the papers she was sifting through. Just said- "I put you on the list, that's why."
He raied an eyebrow at this. "When was this?"
"And when were you planning to tell me?"
"I just did, didn't I?" she said with a smirk. Mizuchi just rolled his eyes and chuckled. Somehow, he wasn't surprised by this. There was a knock. "Enter." Lady Mizukage barked, still not looking up. Her assistant, Matsue came back in and stood before her. She looked up.
"From the Udai Council, Lady Mizukage." Matsue bowed and held out a message to her. She reached over and took it, quickly but thoroughly reading it over. She stared at it for a moment. This.... would require immediate reaction. She loved how vague these guys could be sometimes! *coughcough* sarcasm *coughcough* As always, it only took a moment to come up with a solution as good as can be. Pulling out a piece of paper she wrote down a message detailing a mission to be carried out immediately.
"Matsue, send this at once."
"Yes ma'am!" she said, took the note and left quickly.
Turning back to her son, "Anyway, their original sensei was recently killed, and you were next and best suited for this group."
"Hmph. What makes you think I'd be any good as a sensei?" Mizuchi jabbed his own chest with his thumb.
Suijin grinned. "You've done a fine job with your children."
"Yeah, but half their teaching was thanks to you."
She let out an exhasperated sigh and rolled her eyes. She finished the rest of the sake that was in her hand and said, "Because I taught you myself, I know you'll do fine and you have the same damn leadership skills as I do- now will ya quitcher whinin' and take tha damn job! You don't have a choise anyway!" she barked, swinging her empty bottle at him as if trying to hit him with it. But he back away slightly, just out of her reach, and laughed a little.
"A'right! A'right! So when do I meet the little snot-nosed ankle-biters?"
"Whenever they get back from their mission..... assuming Shouta doesn't kill us first!"
"Hm??? What did you do now?"
"....I just... ordered good ol' uncle Dev ta pull a kid out of the hospital...." she said sheepishly.
Mizuchi just stared wide-eyed at his mother. "...... He's going to murder you!"

This was a meeting. A diciplinary meeting. This shinobi before her was practically cowering at this point....and he had just made her blow her top. Mizuchi just stood leaning against the wall behind his mother. He always found these entertaining. "NO EXCUSES! AND SURE AS HELL NOT ONES THAT HALF-ASSED!!!!"
------------------------------------- Yuudai was still holding Haruka's hand. They entered the grand building and made their way towards the Mizukage's office. Miho had wiggled out of Yuudai's arm when they neared and was running a few feet ahead of them.
------------------------------------- "I-I'M SORRY LADY MIZUKAGE!" he whimpered.
"QUITCHER BLUBBERING AND GET THA ******** OUT!!!"
"R-right. Of course, Grann- LADY MIZUKAGE!!!" he caught himself, barely in time. But she'd heard all she needed. SMASH Ths shinobi had to hit the floor to avoid the on-coming desk lamp that broke against the wall behind him.
"I swear... the next person who calls me granny...." He scrambled towards the door and Mizuchi did him a small favor by opening it with a vector. "IS GONNA GET IT!!!!"
----------------------------------- The door opened before they even reached it. A shinobi bolted out and ran past them down the hall. "Well at least she's in a good mood..." They only heard the 'is gonna get it' part. Not the begining. Miho ran excitedly to the door.
"GRANNY SUI-EEEIIIIIIK!!!" she squeeled as she dodged a sake bottle that smashed against the wall in the hall way across from the Mizukage's office door.
Mizuchi looked over at his mother. "Mom.... that was your grandaughter." Miho hesitantly peered into the door way. Yuudai was soon behind her.
"Hey Dad, Grandma. I got someone I want you to meet." He walked in, beckoning for Haru to follow him.
Mizukage Suijin was sitting at her desk. She looked disgruntled, but then raised an eyebrow at their visitor. She seemed.... familiar.

"U-Uh uh..." For someone who had so calmly handled a near mugging, Haruka was now bright red and flustered. She'd regained her candy cane appearance and gripped at her sleeves defensively.
Finally she bent over in a deep bow.
"I-It's a pleasure to fine'ly meetcha, Lady Mizukage! Mah name is Haruka Shiro," she rose from her bow and rubbed nervously at her scars, "Mah f-father's told me plenty 'boutcha."
Haruka winced. Normally she didn't care how dorky she sounded (it was a lost cause, she realized), but this was the Mizukage she was talking to! Sure she'd already had fair warning of her personality, but to see it in person... well, she finally understood where her father was coming from when he'd tell her stories and flinch.

A loud banging noise came from outside the door. Rakutsu had gotten so caught up in running with Shouta to the building. She quite literally crashed and burned just as she got to the door. Rakutsu scrambled up and knocked on the door. ''Ohh~ Suijin~ I have Sake for you!'' came a muffled but sweet voice outside the door. Luckily She had managed to grab the sake bottles that Haruka seemed to have forgotten. Rakutsu figured the Sake might put the Mizukage in a better mood. Not that she had any idea of her current mood, but she hoped it would prevent empty bottles being tossed at her. ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

Mizukage Suijin's face snapped into an expression of surprise. Before the name even registered, she knew that accent, even coming form a different mouth! A demonic grin spread accross her face. "Ahhh... so yer Chicken-Limbs's daughter!" Her speach was a bit slurred. She had been drinking all day, and she hadn't really felt like getting professional so she was more lax about the letting the alcohol effect her. She could see that Haruka had definitely taken on some physical traits from her mother. Her head turned up at the door when she heard that all too familiar voice. "Well 'en what're ya doin out there? C'man in!" Mizuchi rolled his eyes. 'That's allllll she needs' -was the thought that was passing through the Kitagawa men's minds at that moment.
Shouta stood next to Rakutsu, not even paying any mind to the shattered glass in the hall. That -no matter how many times it was cleaned up- always seemed to be there.

Rakutsu pushed the door open with her foot, revealing what seemed like two bottles of sake. one in each hand and two that seemed to be stored in her long laced sleeves. ''Hey~ Suijin! Hows my favorite Kage doin?'' She greeted her with a grin as she walked up to the front of Suijins desk and set four bottles on it. Rakutsu wasn't really sucking up, She was just excited to see Suijin. She then bowed her head as she retreated back over to the area Haru was. She was glad to see Haruka was unscathed. She would have flipped a lid if she was bleeding or anything. ''Ey, carry on with what you were doin, sorry for interrupting anything.'' she smiled rubbing the back of her head nervously. ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

"Been good! Things goin' as smoothly as possible in tha Blood-Mist!" she chuckled as she greatfully took one of them bottles and opened it. "An' ya weren't intaruptin anathang~. I was just havin a li'le talk with one'a mah subordinates." She waved her hand as if swatting a fly to motion 'no biggy'. "Then 'ese guys showed up! So Haru, was it? 'Ows yer dad doin?" she said, grinning. It had been a while since she'd heard from her comrades up in Snow.
Yuudai smiled. His grandmother was..... a bit of a bipolar-drunk. It was pretty funny. Miho ran over to her dad to give him a hug. She was absolutely tiny compared to his height! 6'6"!!! Mizuchi patted his youngest child's head then sat her up on the window sill. The little red-head was beaming.
