Masquerade was supposed to be over a month ago D: It didnt. And as far as I can see it wont be happening any time soon. Are we just going to let it turn into SG Awards? Yeah those happened eventually...TWO YEARS LATER.
Crew is having issues finding the man power to run it or something like that. SO SG why dont you help them out? It can help make the guild more active and we all want that right??
I'm pretty sure what they need is thread/game ideas and people to run them. And to set a date and send out invites. I dont know what else is needed. And I dont know what is planned. But lets brainstorm some threads and games to help them out.
Threads are REALLY easy to run. Just make the first post then you can ignore the thread compledtely if you want. Games take a little bit more work.
SO lets talk about types of threads we can have to get the party rolling! And if you want to volunteer to help send out invites or anything like that say it in here, crew will probably see you and then they can contact you when they need you.

I'm totally willing to run a strip dice thread >.> Its easy. You roll dice. And if you get a certain number you take off an item. Until you get naked. Fun and easy and pretty much no work.
I think the event should run early January. Maybe for New Years? I dont know if New Year's eve is the best, but maybe the following weekend. That should give us more than enough time to plan and invite. And then we'll have a whole month after to plan the anniversary party! biggrin

Lol you would think with crew elections coming up so quickly they would be falling over themselves to help out. Unless they dont want to be reelected XD
I've thrown a lot of SG parties and really you dont have to do much to make them successful. You invite people and then you make a few fun threads to start it off. After the first few hours a party will run fine on its own.

I've thrown a lot of SG parties and really you dont have to do much to make them successful. You invite people and then you make a few fun threads to start it off. After the first few hours a party will run fine on its own.

The problem I have with doing the masquerade around christmas time is the fact that I've already slaved over the halloween-themed mascot images, as has sin. If we did it during christmas, I'd kind of like to give it more of a christmas/seasonal theme. Also, since we have the idea of teams we need to work out threads and games that they can compete in to gain points.

Oh god, I second this problem xD After all of the work we both put into the images for last time...I would be very very reluctant to create new ones for an x-mas theme u.U I wouldent want to put in howers slaving over sai again just to have to make a diffrent theme next time? I'm pessimistic and mistrusting >.>; Sorry. What would even be the teams if we did it x-mas theme? Would there be teams at all?

Personally I was just really discouraged that for all the talk/debate/arguing we did about the event, as well as all of the planning - it didn't get done.
Like I remember going into the kroo chat and being like "Hello...? Aren't we doing the Masquerade today? Anyone...?"
It just makes me very sad and makes me wonder if we needed a party to begin with.
So I gave up on it, AND the AT thread, because I got next to ZERO feedback/desire to participate for that.

Are you doing team competition like in Spirit Awards(except you actucally keep up with it >.>)? Or some different kind of team thing?
I definately get what you mean about not wanting to let the mascots go to waste. You could always have Halloween mascots at a Christmas event to be...ironic? XD Or you could do it later. Those mascots could work anytime of the year. They're based off masks and its masquerade, they're not based off Halloween. Even if they WERE made for halloween you could pretend otherwise.
Graphie - We always could use a party! Parties are super fun smile Plus sometimes they help activity. But yeeeeah it really sucks that it just fell through D: I dont know why it did but crew should figure it out so they can make sure it doesnt happen on the next attempt.

My dad likes to do this thing, where he sees something wrong, like, lets say, a cup on the floor, so he stands next to it, and calls me over and says "you see this cup on the floor? Why is it there? I've walked by it about 5 times now, and it's still there, it shouldn't be there, it should be in the trash... [ect.]". Now, the entire time I'm thinking, "if you saw the cup on the floor about 5 times, and kept walking by it, why are you calling me up, and wasting 5 minutes of my life, 5 minutes you could have been using to pick up the cup and throw it in the trash, maybe even throw it in my face and tell me to throw out the garbage".
What I am trying to get at, if I wanted to get the masquerade done, I'd do it, I'd make a thread, in which, I'd call up all the people who were involved with it last time, and ask them for help carrying out a plan I had. Because if you want something done, then you should either do it yourself, or know exactly how you're going to get other people to do it for you. Because there is NOTHING more annoying than when somebody is like "hey can you just go ahead and do this, which I could do myself, but don't feel like, and am therefor making it your responsibility, and am making you seem like a bad person for not doing it"
Now I'm gonna go ahead and go work on a thread that will HOPEFULLY make the guild just a TINY LITTLE BIT more active! ninja ... Or at least the thread will be active... I HOPE! D:

Uh-huh. But crew is "working" on it. And taking it over as they try to get their s**t together is rude : ) At least Toastie and Insom are trying to work on it.
Its not like its COMPLETELY abandoned. If it was then I would take it over~ But people did a lot of work already and some people are working on getting it up and running. I'm just trying to help them get it up and running by seeing if any guild members want to help.
