So I've given up on my favorite NFL team. My favorite used to be the Raiders but their loss to the Cowboys was too far. When they beat the Bengals I was a little up and then they got slaughtered the next week. I need suggestions for a team to follow.

Well, Raiders atleast beat the Eagles and are better than 4 other teams in the NFL. So...that's good for a struggling team. You should stick with the Raiders because then people would just constantly nag you because you changed to another team because they are winning.

Well, think about why you liked the Raiders in the first place. I suggest liking the team most people in the area you live in like, so if they lose people can't make fun of you.
But still, stick with the Raiders imo. Will be good in a few years. Lol, don't jump on a bandwagon though.

The Raiders will never be good. Not even in a couple years. As long as Al Davis is there, never.

I'm a Raiders fan myself. Trust me I'm pretty disappointed as well. But you should never leave your team no matter how bad they have become. People tend to start things with you if you start to like a team that is really good. Because you would be bandwagoning basically. I can honestly say I have had urges to leave the Raiders. But I didn't. Not that I'm afraid about what people would say about me switching teams, but I choose not to band wagon until its the playoffs..lol. But yeah the point is,stay with the Raiders. No matter how much you hate it,just try and deal. Maybe good things might come out in the end? Who knows.

Sorry that you're a Raiders fan...Must suck. Crappy stadium/field, horrible team, terrible owner, bad coaching...At least you have some pretty devoted fans...
But stick with them. Al Davis doesn't have much time left. Then they will find better players through the draft and free agency. They'll also pick up the coaching. Or, if they move to Los Angeles, they will definitely get a spark to do better.

Oh the Raiders mrgreen they are a bad team but you just need to wait a while.
Atleast until Jamarcus Russel comes back rofl or better yet is Tom Cable going to be a good coach or unless they draft better. Hell they passed up Crabtree to get Heyward-Bey which one do you think is having a better season.
For the Ownership Al Davis is giving the team to his son when he dies so yeah you can imagine a bad team getting worse.

I agree with wonder. Think why you liked the team in the first place. Just because things look bad now shouldn't mean you give up on them. Loyal fans get their reward later. The raiders are eventually going to be back in their prime. The raiders are in the process of rebuilding. [I suggest steelers xD]

rio_kid .... The raiders are in the process of rebuilding..... and rebuilding ... and rebuilding ... and rebuilding..... and when they think they're almost there, it'd self destruct... and the process goes on....

Try and see some good in this...
I'm a Giants (football), Chelsea (soccer), and Yankees (baseball) fan. Each of those teams have had a ton of success, and are currently great to support. They've also done very well in recent years.
But on the opposite side of the spectrum, I'm also a Knicks (basketball) and Red Bulls (soccer) fan. Those teams really suck at the moment. I still stick with them, and watch them. But sometimes it's funny to support a team so bad. When these teams play, I anticipate a bad play or mistake, and laugh my a** off sometimes. Hopefully things will turn around.
Just stay positive.

They may be dysfunctional now, but remember they were in the Super Bowl a few seasons ago

I know what you can look forward to. You can look forward to the day Al Davis dies. When that happens, you'll have a good team again, or at least you can start rebuilding, because the Raiders will not go anywhere with Al Davis.
Similarly with the Niners. We weren't going anywhere with the Yorks, until they gave up operations to their son who knows more about football than the parents do. The Niners are on the up and rise. Lol. Hopefully.

how bout them raiders today. i like louis murphy. to bad i dropped him from my fantasy team last week stressed . i dont really like the raiders but i kno how u feel. every year i just end up feeling like life would be better not being a texans fan. they need coaches with experience more than players with experience and now ima talk crap about them until next year even tho im still a fan. i could keep goin on right now cuz they shoulda won 2day and idk y they still have chris brown on the team. this was the 2nd game this year he had a game deciding turnover. ninja my other teams i like are the cowboys and cardinals so at least i have them to look forward to. if ur looking for a winnin team to go for the rest of the season u should go with the chargers

Hang in there dude. At least Oakland has a couple of titles to their name, albeit, that was a long time ago.
You know how long I've been rooting for Atlanta's title-less, no back 2 back winning seasons behinds? stare But I can't give up on them, cause I'm a ride or die fan.
