((Yeah, this'll be in the future a bit if you guys don't mind. **For my notes - This'll be after the shaman Ket leaves to go back to the ocean, Shiva's taking the sickly pup Sam to see him and get 'checked out' so to speak.**))

It was true, the young seer had been a bit miffed when the shaman had left early. The pup wasn't safe, not for a long stretch. He was sick, and the shaman was keeping him alive and healthy - but on the other paw...

Ket couldn't stay there forever. He had told her he had been granted passage to help the pup, and then he was leaving. Shiva spat at the ground as she walked along. She didn't mind at ALL taking the pup down south, but she feared for his safety every pawstep they went.

"Are you alright back there, kiddo?" she smiled back over her shoulder. There had been an exciting buzz in the kid's brain ever since they had left his pack's borders. She thought he was a sweet pup, and too smart for his age. He'd be handsome when he grew up... if Ket could be kept in check, that is, enough to let the pup grow up.

He missed his mom and dad. He worried about them, but Wraith would make sure they stayed so safe. He smiled up at the teen when she asked about him. "I'm fine!" he confirmed, tossing his head a bit. He had been prancing the whole way, and trying his hardest to walk directly in the bigger wolf's pawprints. He wanted to be just like her! She was so neat, and she could read his mind... that was... amazing.

Think of all the wolves he could help with that power! Or... or the power his shaman friend had. The little wolf coughed a bit, and immediately looked down to his paws - a move that had become habit after his terrible night where he had almost died - to check for blood. His paws were clear though, and the cough didn't feel like it would follow with more.

They had been moving for a long time, but the pup was energetic. He had felt sick earlier in the day, but felt fine now after they had rested and had a bit of fish and fresh water.

Blue eyes sparkled with wonder as he did his best to keep with Shiva, sticking close to her tail or hip. He tried to keep his worries away, not wanting them to shadow his fun days away from home with a very interesting few wolves. His mother had taken him on this journey before, but... this was his first time free, away from family! It was exciting, and he couldn't wait to see what was aroudn the next tree.

Dante's mind seamed to wander about the trees effortlessly scanning for something interesting to abuse- much like radar on a ship. A few times a few blips passed by his minds eye- but most of them had been loathsome prey animals. He sent out a simple wave a terror to them all convincing them he was hungry enough to tear them apart, and like any smart creature they bolted as quickly as they could away from him. 'What Boredom...' He sighed to himself. Why did he ever let Inferno convince him to scan ahead for new pack territories. He would have been happy as ever staying in the lighting parched turf where he once lived. He assumed though this was her form of punishment for him not being able to keep his loins to one wolf. Oh how did he learn for his mistakes; both living and dead. 'Stupid loose ends...probably why she sent me out in this direction- to look for HER.' His daughter and sons that apparently had escaped death those many seasons ago.

But suddenly two more blips appeared in his mind. These were far more interesting then normal wolves. FINALLY gods like him. And two in one place! His tail which never moved very much gave a small wag at the thought.

'Greetings fellow gods...'

He spoke into the two's mind. Then quickly as he could walled up anything in his brain he didn't want delved in to expecially the sensitive information about his 'other' sons and daughter.

It was slightly easier to listen rather than hear nowadays. Usually it was just a whisper or murmur at the back of his mind here or there, in and out maybe three times or so per day. On some level or another he found that he knew a prey's intentions a split second before it was enacted upon, and though that made hunting easier, it also took away the fun of it; on more than on occasion Adam had attempted to block his mind from this method of cheating in order to put the challenge back upon him, but the shielding portion of his mind was a far different and more difficult power to control than the simple listening (which was more passive and thus easier). But each day he was at least half a step closer to getting better control over these new powers, and the path before him was still rocky; even Kalain's teachings could only go so far for him. He had to find others more like him, more like these seers . . . In the least Kalama didn't have to worry so much about him - well, at least Adam thought so. Beyond the growing sense of the mind, his nose had always been impeccable in finding and remembering scents, and without fail up to this point he had been able to return to her without too much time elapsing between their visits.

It was on an ordinary walk about that Adam felt a rather strange presence at the fringe of this mind-sense; not one he had ever felt before: similar to Kalain's presence, yet at the same time so different. Adam felt himself convulse involuntarily as, briefly, he thought he could smell blood. And lots of it. Violence, blood, torture . . . But then again, these were things he hated and feared most, and with such a sensitive mind these days it might have just been his imagination acting up again. Yet . . . Adam felt hismelf drawn closer to this dark, enigmatic presence. Nearby, he could scent two more. Was he coming across a scene most should avoid, or merely approachign a travelling trio? Either way, ever nosy, he found himself padding over. At the edge of bushes he crouched low, knowing his pelt could not possibly match the greens, yet hiding regardless. Perhaps if he stayed still enough . . .

With the comign of adolescence, Adam found his half-sight becoming a tad sharper as far as colors came. No, he could not make out forms specifically, but colors could be detected on a slightly duller scale now than previous, where it had to be stark against something else in order to be seen. Still, Adam had some problems finding the wolves' specific locations and was going on certain details; one was wearing a delicate pink flower, one had a strange vaguely purplish growth at its head, and the third had the strangest colors of all wrapped about its neck. All stormy blues and grays and with lightning. Was it wearing some sort of pelt? Adam's darkened eyes narrowed curiously.

Gods? Seer... The wolf guarded her own thoughts seconds after she felt the thick snap in her mind, the stranger had guarded his as well. She still didn't understand the reasoning for calling them gods.

'Greetings.' She left it at that. He was odd, choosing to wear a mask of bone over his own face. Didn't he appreciate the features of the wild varg enough to not wish to wear a kitten's mask over his own? She kept these thoughts guarded as well, for the vibe she was getting from him wasn't one that could be interpreted as friendly.

She wondered what would possibly happen now. She wasn't counting on visiting with anyone - friend or not - on their journey. 'The youngling is sick.' she figured he would pick it up anyway, as Sam wasn't a seer - thought she had her suspicions - and had no idea how to guard his own thoughts.

Sam jolted at the sudden feeling of a voice in his mind. The pup had been used to Shiva's own mind mixing with his own, but this stranger didn't have the same feeling as the female he had been traveling with. Gods.. ? He had picked up on that as well, and also wasn't sure what to make of it. He didn't know what to do now, but backed up slowly, hiding within Shiva's legs without tangling up between them. The pup stood on guard underneath the taller female, ready for what might come next.
