Well, if she were only dating Rotti, and not having sex with him, Shilo would still be Nathan's daughter. But that thought did occur to me.

That would be interesting. Perhaps that's part of the reson that Rotti wanted to leave GeneCo to Shilo, he was hoping that Shilo could have actualy been his child.
Marni obviously didn't date Nathan very long before marrying him.

Well, I got a copy of the script from the company who's auctioning the props off, and it did mention that Shilo was premature...just something to think about. There's also the possibility that Marni was cheating on Rotti, or just that she and Nathan fell quickly in love and eloped early in the year, and Shilo was born late in the year. I dunno.

Marni's a golddigger! -Kanye West's song begins to play.- o-o; Aheh. She originally dated Rotti in order to get the funds for Mag's surgery... or so some fans speculate. It's possible that Marni could have been seeing Nathan in secret.... or doing the naughty with him. -Slaps self.-
Sporks? Sp-knives? Knives are fun. They make me feel like Luigi. But then my mom gets scared and takes them away from me.

Of course she was premature, that tends to happen when you have to get cut out of your mum's womb before you die with her, ya know.
Marni fell in love with Nathan quickly, and left Rotti just as fast.
So there is a pretty equal chance of them both being the father.
I don't think either of them knew for sure, which makes Rotti wanting her as an heir have a lot of sense.
But he could also have just wanted her because she is the only part of Marni left, and to cause Nathan the pain of losing his last bit of Marni. Not to mention piss off his other kids.
And the reasons that Nathan is the real father should be obvious enough for me to not have to describe.
But when it comes down to it, whether DNA wise or not, Nathan raised and took care of Shilo. Rotti only payed attention to her when it became convenient to him. So in my opinion, morally, Nathan is her father whether he is the one who got Marni pregnant or not.♫♥♪

And no you are not crazy, I was just thinking about this the other day and it is VERY plausible, since everyone is a whore/man-whore in the movie. And I must say Thankless Job does make me giggle. ^_^

It could go either way, but what makes me think Nathan is the father is that 1. There must have been a reason why Marni left Rotti when they were set to be wed. Perhaps she realized she was pregnant with Nathan's child and knowing that Rotti never took her to bed would make it suspicious. I believe she was trying to hide that fact, but of course it backfired terribly. 2. During "Shilo Turns Against __", Rotti states, "But you share your dad's genetics. What if he passed this to you?" Why would Rotti say that they share genetics if he was trying to get Shilo on his side? Would it not be logical to say "Oh, by the way, I am your biological father, not him!"?

interesting i shall study this for a while......................two hours later still thinking....................ten hours later,okay it might be a possiblity that rotti is the father if marni but if that was the factor i have no idea where i'm going with this i'm going to watch the sing repo songs to get my grandparents mad

BUT -sorry, here comes the big but-
If Shilo were Rotti's child, then Nathan would know. Because Nathan would notice if Marni's pregnancy beginning to show before their dating for 9 months had passed. And he would be aware of the fact that she was Rotti's child.
Also, if Nathan ever actually had the suspicion that Shilo wasn't his, he is a doctor and has the ability to test her blood, drugged or not. True that he may be lying to himself, and that may be one of the reasons that he's so protective of her, but there's evidence for either of them.
Also, Nathan may have doubted it at one point and sat down {as before stated} and done the math to see if Marni had deceived him and led him to believe that Shilo was his.
Potentially, DS and TZ could use it as a plot-point, but they would have to be very careful about what they did because of the support behind either theory. ---------------------. . . . .Repo treatment . . . . . The master OF horror
