Here's the promised explanation thread.
The guild is temporarily set to private, so no one's stories will get stolen in case any of you had that worry.
For your story, you are to post it in a new thread in the guild.
You ARE allowed to edit your story after seeing fellow guild member's advice to you.
As long as you edit it before the short story deadline on the 15th, you can change your submission. Do not edit after that, I can see the date you change a post.
I highly advice that you do this, because it's my hope we all will submit our fixed up stories to one of the publishers in Chee's list when we're done.
The exact conditions of the contest, like the length and type of story can be found in Chee's journal sticky.
If someone posts a story, please say if you do not want criticism, otherwise I will assume you want advice.
If you criticize a story, give a reason and keep it in positive attitude. Do not complain about someone else's submission unless it contains hate speech of some kind or sexual obscenity.
Your criticism will be subject to editing by the crew if it is disrespectful.
The bet:
Some people were confused by this so I'll explain
When you enter you're kind of betting on yourself. Something in the range of like 5-10k. You can decide what you want to give.
Everyone does this.
When a winner is picked, everyone who entered sends that person your 5-10k.
I will put up a poll for voting after the deadline is up, and we can vote. If I see anyone using mules, you'll be disqualified.
Whoever has the most votes wins.
This is why I suggest you get some of your friends to come in the guild lol. The more readers we have, the more fun it'll get.
I will give an additional present to my favorite story in addition to the little bet. I encourage others to do the same wink

You can give an item too if you want, just send something in the range of 5-10k to the guild mule once you enter lol.
I think it's better if we use pure, but items work too.
After we pick a winner I'll send the guild mule's pot of gold to them lol.

Mine's about half done. I did try and finish it tonight but I woke up, face down on my keyboard, about three times. I'm giving it one more go now before I abandon hope for the night.
I'm going to say it again, physical therapy is a b***h and makes Chee a sleepy kitty. gonk

You can, as long as it fits the requirements. In Chee's sticky is a long post that says the requirements....
ugh I believe they were
less than 15 pages typed
story has a point/ meaning/message made into it.
and no stuff against TOS.
