The white vixen prowled along the edges of the Sea of Sorrows, the main water source in the tribe she loved so dearly. Her white hair fell over her eyes in numerous thin strands as she looked up at the rising sun. She sighed through her nostrils, wondering where everyone was. She had seen no one in over a month, aside from Seika. Everyone was just... Gone. As if they had vanished off the face of the earth. It was disheartening to remain in the lands, keeping the hope that someone would come back. After all, even Akuma had left, disgusted with herself. Konton knew the reason why... That damned b*****d Dorchet... Her tail lashed and her pinwheel eyes began spinning wildly, but only for a moment. The contempt she had for that 'Daeva died down, only to be reawakened when she thought about him or Akuma or even the three kits born from that again. Konton was the sort of vixen who bottled everything inside... It was only a matter of time before she would explode.

Konton leaned over, lapping at the icy water from the Sea of Sorrows. As she raised her head, she blinked at her reflection, refusing to look into her eyes. She had made the same mistake so many years ago... Falling into her loathing she had for the family that never accepted her, and the detestation she had for herself. A merciless past and everyday she regretted it more and more. She sat down and closed her eyes, letting a single tear fall. When she opened them again, they were a shade a of gray, glazed over with a milky fog. It was the eye colour that could only be possible if one was blind.

As much as she hated to admit it, she couldn't deny it. She was actually blind. No ability to see. Only black... Only the void... Nothing. She was grateful enough that she could switch her eyes to the Mangekyou Sharingan, which gave her better eyesight than normal eyes. It was ironic, but the irony didn't matter. At least she could see, despite the fact that it burned a significant amount of her energy. Using the Mangekyou all the time, as if they were permanent eyes, was a strenuous task and consumed an abnormal amount of energy. No wonder she was the thinnest out of all the tribe members. After all, on top of all that, she would never allow herself to eat until everyone else had eaten before her.

Konton was nearly emaciated. You could see her ribcage and the tops of her hip joints along with tops of her vertebrae. She wasn't completely skin and bones just yet, but she was dangerously close. Konton had always been thinner than she should have been, but it was becoming serious now. At least food was available more often now, yet she had a sick feeling that she would never fully recover. The tribe would always come before her, this much was certain.

Telluria paced around the Sea of Sorrows, her tail drifting and undulating in the slight breeze. The sun was rising, and the sky became a color much like her fur. It had been months since she had been here, and had nearly forgotten her attachment to her tribe. She was never much of a social fox, and it showed. She preferred the silence, the solitude; such things such things made her feel as if she was not so empty herself. Alas, the embrace of silence had to end, for what good could she do alone in the world? No, she needed to be around others, and this was the place to start. The Sea was one of the few places she was sure to find her tribe. Her thoughts had not failed her, for not far off she spotted another fox, staring into the abysmal sea.
"H-hello...?" she called to the wayward fox.

Konton knew the voice of the vixen that approached. She was a tribe member and like all the tribe members, she disappeared for weeks. This was the first time the white vixen saw the likes of her around these parts in... A good several months. She knew her blind eyes were useless, but with them she had developed a sixth sense, a sense which enabled her to feel presences, auras, feelings... This sense was always with her, even if she was using her Sharingan eyes. And now she felt the presence of the vixen, approaching her from the right. She heard the voice call out to her, yet she did not move a muscle. She took in a deep breath, which was scary considering the fact that you could see her ribcage expand as her lungs did so. "It's been a long time, Telluria..." She said in a weak, strained voice.

"Good morning..." Telluria said simply. "My my my, it has been a long time, hasn't it?" she was a bit shocked when she realized how long it had really been. What had she even been doing? Months of her life, wasted, for nothing. Nothing. That seemed to be a word that described most aspects of the being posing as a fox. She shared not the normal characteristics of her kin, blood lust, love, hate, even the will to live seemed to flicker as a dying flame in the furnace of her mind. But there was still hope, a fading hope, that she could do something to benefit her kind; it was the hope that knowledge could give her purpose. Knowledge was the only thing that kept her going. a curiosity sparked by the lone wanderings she had endured for ages. A thirst for knowledge that could not be quenched alone. Compared to many she had met, she knew nothing of importance. She wished to change that.

"...Konton... I wish to learn"

Konton's blind eyes flicked in the direction of Telluria, her face expressionless. "Indeed..." She replied, feeling the cold water of the sea lap over her black forepaws. She let out a light laugh at Telluria's next remark. "Dear child, I know what you want. Even without my eyes and delving into the deepest, darkest recesses of your mind, I can sense it in your very aura." She explained. "Although, shamans can't wander off as much as the others can. They come to us for security in times of need, especially when Frenka isn't around. Koana and I... We're the only ones left... Akuma is, of course, a shaman, but she is always drifting around, seen here and then seen there, and then never heard from for months at a time. So we have our wanderer shaman who shows up conveniently for any of our foxes in need, but the rest of us need to devote ourselves to these lands." She paused, letting her words sink in. "Are you ready to give up that freedom, the freedom of wandering, in exchange for undying respect?"

"These lands can offer me no more, I believe I am ready to find a home, and a purpose." Telluria said adamantly. "Where do we start?"

Konton smirked, closing her eyes and turning her head towards the water. "I'm glad you see things that way..." Her eyes opened, back to their blood red colour and pinwheel pupils. She waved a paw over the surface of the water, contorting her reflection. "I suppose we can start out with herbs... Tell me, are you aware of the names? If so, do you know their benefits, or if they can be potentially fatal?"

"I know virtually nothing beyond what not to eat..." Telluria said quietly. "I am no healer, I merely wish to be of some philosophical use to the foxes of our wayward tribe..."
