Wow... I just saw this on a site (I forgot its name since I was just looking at different, random things), and I found this.

Edit: This isn't the same website, but it is one that better explains what really happened:

Wow...that had to be real moving for the doc. That totally blows away the tiny argument of "Life only begins at birth"

I know... I bet that'd turn any Pro-Choice doctor to Pro-Life. It moved me, very deeply.

The sad realit of it, Loysa, is that there are many doctors out there who are pro-choice in the abortion sence, but can actualy still do an operation liek this and think nothign of their view on abortion. Its a sick sad world.

I guess you're right. Maybe if this happened to them, though, they would change their minds... but I hope for too much from this world.

Awww, see theres proof that even if something is wrong and the fetus has an serious health issue, doesn't mean they can't save it and have them life a normal life later.

jessicalois Isn't that the same picture that caused Drudge to lose his TV show a few years back? It was the same situation in the photo I remember if not the actual photo.
Drudge had a TV show (don't remember what channel) and at some point, he wanted to show that photo, but his bosses wouldn't allow it for obvious reasons (it makes the fetus look almost human *GASP*).
So, he quit then and there.
That takes guts smile

Not to take anything away from that picture, but the baby didn't actually reach out and grab the doctor's hand. The doctor reached in and pulled the baby's hand and it was using its grasp reflex. And the surgery he was doing is very controversial. It can cause the baby to be bron very prematurely and die but parents who wish to have that surgery done so that the affects of spina bifida may be minimized are willing to take that risk.
