Example The Team to Beat: The Surprise Team: The Dissapointing Team: The Worst Team: (Use that form above!)
The Team to Beat: Chicago Bears - Of course I have to go with the Chicago Bears. With the division that they're in, I think they can very easily take that division and maybe even the NFC crown. The Jay Cutler addition was critical, for now Cutler can play behind a waayyy more solid OL. Sure they don't have the best recieving corp, but Cutler will find a way on how to make it work.
Runner-Ups: Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles.
The Surprise Team: Houston Texans - There, I was the first one to break the silence. These guys are ready to emerge from being that 8-8 team again. And their schedule is beyond ridiculous. NFC West shouldn't be a problem, nor the Jags, nor the Colts or Titans (once), and don't even tune in to Houston v. Oakland or Houston v. Cinncinnati. With a steady and definitely ready for bigtime quarterback Matt Schuab and a great linebacker corp., I think they're ready to make it big.
Runner-Ups: San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints.
The Dissapointing Team: Carolina Panthers - From being the second seed in the NFC, to maybe even going .500, I don't see Carolina accomplishing too much. Sure, the OL and DL is great. But Julius Peppers is probably gonna leave Carolina, and the teams in their division never seem to go 0-6 in their division. And they pretty much dont have a secondary, and you cant count on Jake Delhomme much after his, dare I say it, birthday present in the form off an a**-whooping.
Runner-Ups: New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens
The Worst Team: Cleveland Browns - Yeah, I said Cleveland Browns, big whoop, you wanna fight about it? xd I'm gonna make this very short and simple: the Cleveland Browns will prove that quarterbacks are not the only things that matter in the NFL. In my opinion, Brady Quinn will be great... but not if he's not throwing to Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards and Dante' Stallworth. They have no secondary, and not much else on that team worth watching. And hold on, I just wanna say something else. You do NOT throw away the fifth overall pick in the draft for a center, what are you, ******** stupid?!
Runner-Ups: St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders, New York Jets.

I have to disagree about the Panthers. I mean seriously. Ever heard of the saying "Defense wins games" or "Defense is the best offense"? THe reason I say this is because we just recently acquired Ron Meeks the now former Defensive Coordinator of the Colts. And over the past several Seasons, you can see how he compelte changed the Colts Defense to on of the best in the league. I mean sure, Peppers may not show to Practice, but, this is a man that went compeltely on strike 2 or 3 years ago and came back the very next Season to be in the Top 10 for Sacks. Meeks has been known to be very good Coordinator for DE. So, if we can get Julius back, I am sure he will love the new Defense we are putting together, and with Everett Brown on the other side of the D-Line, we will be a force to be recogned with. And sure, Jake wasn't perfect on the Playoff game, but every QB has a day like that. And we still got Steve Smith, Jon Beason, Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. Almost everyone said, experts and non-experts, that the Panthers would still one of the worst teams in the NFL, we proved them wrong by playing a 12-4 2008 Season, having the 3rd best Rushing, and being in the top 5 for most Sacks by one player, Julius. And yes, seeing our Schedule this upcoming Season, we probably aren't gonna go 12-4 or 11-5, but I think at least 10-6 will be our record this Season. So I'm saying that this Season for Panthers, will be like last, we get denied, but we come out as one of the best.

The Team to Beat: I know everyone is going to say homerism on this one, but I have to say Philadelphia Eagles. If it were not for the first half issues, they would have easily won the game and gone to the SB and even been able to beat the Steelers. They did that earlier in the year where the Steelers were healthy (which they were not in the SB) and Philly did not have everyone in the first game back from injury. They have gone in and upgraded their team and are younger faster and stronger. As long as Westbrook comes back from surgery healthy, they dont have to worry about anything really. Offensive line is arguably best in the league if they play to their potential and they are just as good defensively this year as they were last year and may be even better by the end of the season.
Runner Ups- Pittsburg Steelers, NY Giants, 2009 Cinderella Team of course.
The Surprise Team: Houston Texans. They are bound for success and to wake the NFL up to a team that is ready to take on the big guys. They have the personel for success and the proper offseason to show. Now all they have to do is translate that onto the field.
Runner Ups- Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Dissapointing Team: I am going to go out on a limb and I mean a very long and shakey one for that matter. I will say NE Patriots. Tom Brady is just coming back from one of the most severe injuries a player can take and still be able to play. So he has to show that he is able to play and not let the psychological aspect of it to get to him and not to mention he has to prove that he can stay healthy now with it. Add to that that they did not get younger as a team. They got older and now seem to be going away from the blue-print that made them successful which was build from the draft. They are seemingly going for in the FA and NAMES for their roster anymore.
Runner Ups- Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers
The Worst Team: Hey, all you have to do is look at my power rankings. It is obvious that if they do not have the luck of what Miami did last year, CLEVELAND BROWNS will be the worst team in the league.

How can the Bears be a Dissappointer when they have already been one the past 3 years? Plus they are coming in With Cutler, and him with Hester are already forming a good Passing threat (Says NFLnetwork >.> Can't trust them). They won't be all that great, but they won't do all that bad.

put them their as a dissapointment team because they will start off with a bang and then will limp to the finish. The only way they could not be a dissapointment with them this year is if they win their division. The reason that is is because they gave up so much to get Cutler that in order to not be a dissapointment, they MUST win their division and do it by at least two games. In my view that is. Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

The Team to Beat: The team to beat is the Arizona Cardinals. They absolutely robbed that game from a team that, for the first time in years, could have gone all the way. The game was almost given to the Cardinals. I believe REVENGE is going to be the name of the game this season. The Surprise Team: I think that the surprise team this season is definitely gonna be the Houston Texans. The Disappointing Team: I'm already disappointed with the Titans. Kerry Collins. The Worst Team: Cleveland Browns are gonna be a little browner than usual this season if you know what I mean.

Best: cardinals kurt warner loses no weapons really and he greats what some people say couldve been a top ten draft pick in beanie wells. on defense again they dont lose any major piece and are still young
dissappointing: colts this easy peyton will not make the playoffs i think this year lack of a recieving core and bad coaching will cause this.
surprising: bills the bill will make the playoffs and challenge this year for afc east. there is no question that the nfc and afc easts r the best divisions in football
worst: this is easy the raiders

TEAM TO BEAT- Pittsburgh Steelers, With much of their Superbowl winning team returning this year, and a very VERY favorable schedule, this team is on the fast track to another AFC North Division title, at the very least.
Honorable Mention- Chicago Bears
SUPRISE TEAM- Housten Texans, actually TBC x CptCanada, if you look at my preview of the AFC South in the AFC South discussion, I stated how I believe this team is geard not only for their first winning season, but could very well make a run for the playoffs. Though I don't think they will win the division, I think they will suprise many fans and start to emerge as one of the leagues elite teams.
Honorable Mention- New Orleans Saints
DISSAPOINTING TEAM- Carolina Panthers, After their playoff loss, players and coaches were jumping off this boat faster than the Titanic. They still have what it takes to get into the playoffs IF they are lucky, but I believe the Division will come down to the Falcons and Saints, and the Panthers will be at home during playoff time.
Honorable Mention- Dallas Cowboys
WORST TEAM- Tampa Bay Buccaneers, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and pick a team I think have the potential to be the worst team, Filled with Old Veterans who have ran out of gas in the later half of the season, young players who are unproven to pick up the mantle where the greats left off, and a young new head coach I feel isn't ready to take over a franchise regardless of his potential. Of all my picks this one I think I have the most potential of being wrong at, but I wouldn't be suprise if this team completely goes belly up this year and be the worst in the League.
Honorable Mention- Cincinnatti Bengals
I know many of you will disagree with me, comment and counter if you like, I won't debate this with religious zeal, but just feel this could be what will happen.

Panthers only really lost one major player (Ken Lucas - CB)...and the new DC is WAY better than who we had before. Don't worry about Julius. He WILL be at training camp. Though there is a problem at the throwing side of the ball sometimes, the big problem the Panthers has is the D#. When a substantial offense hits the Panthers, their defense, except for Jon Beason of course, just takes a s**t. My hope is that there will be a major change seen this season in the Panthers defense.
Panthers won't disappoint you next season. You have my word on that.

Yeah. Peppers said he would be at Training Camp, and as Beason told him, he will love the Panthers new Defense.
