To try this out!
Okies, I have an idea on something that would taste GREAT!
sweatdrop
But I don't have a clue on how to make it!
BUT! The main idea is this! >>;;
Make some garlic bread on something like a slice of something like french bread.... THEN! Take two types of granted cheese, good stuff, not something too cheap and toss it on. Then, toss it in the oven for just long enough to make the cheese melt a bit on it. Then, put on some spegetii sause!
<<;; Normally we have ground meat, mushrooms, and things like that in our sause... I think bread made like that would be a great light snack or supper! whee

We did almost the exact same thing in Girl Scouts, in a dutch oven in the campfire, no less.
Only difference is that you put the sauce on first, then the cheese. Poof, campfire pizza.
We won the prize for best food in camp two years running. wink

What had happened was my mom made garlic bread and spegetii that night and I didn't want to eat much, so I just tossed some sause onto some of the bread. Then I remembered how good the cheese bread my ex's mom makes was and wondered how they would taste together!

Add four more pepperonies on the top layer. This is one of our fave foods at our house.

Another good pizza type idea is to put Mexican shredded cheese and pepperoni (best sliced really thin from the deli instead of the prepackaged kind) on one side of a tortilla. Fold it in half and grill it on a George Foremand grill or in a pan on your stove. Fast and easy!

Pizza-ideas, huh? Two. 1. I like pita-pizzas. Line ingredients up for the kids (what ever they want) and have them decorate the top of a pita bread (flavor - you choose knowing the kids). I usually have the pitas on a flat cookie backing sheet. When the kids are through decorating, pop them in the oven (375-400F) for 8-12minutes. Depends on what and how high the pitas are pizza-ed. 2. For adults, polenta in a roll (you can buy it premade in a variety of flavors). In a large oblong (rectangular) baking dish, brush or mist the bottom with olive oil. Slice polenta in to rounds about 3/4inch thick and lay the slices on one flat side in a nice configuration in your baking dish. Top the slices with pizza-ish toppings: tomato sauceses, pesto, feta cheese, olives, etc. Bake in hot oven until cheeses melt and you have a bit of browning on edges.
P.S. I'm a vegetarian gourmet cook. I'm sure meat eaters can adapt these recipes easily.

Icysnowgirl xD;; Changed the Title. Also, does anyone know how to make a square pizza?! D: Don't laugh at the idea of square pizzas. They're a specialty in Chicago. There's one restaurant reputed to make the very best. It's heavenly. It's made with a good inch thick pizza dough which is baked in a square dish that has been coated in olive oil. And it has toppings another inch thick. It's supposed to feed one person, but it was too much for me.
