This is where the young daughters can study to be raised to accepted.
I shall be watching the Study Hall until we get a Mistress of Learning.

Aradoa is having a hard time learning to surrender to the One Source because of her block. The Aes Sedai helping her with her studies today has no quite figured out what that block is yet.

After an hour or so of trying to surrender to the One Source, Aradoa is covered in sweat from the effort. The Aes Sedai teaching her, of course, hasn't a drop of perspiration on her though the room is sticky hot with none of the windows open. The Aes Sedai hopes that keeping the room burning hot will help Aradoa learn to grasp the One Power.

Another hour later Aradoa still hasn't had any success surrendering. The Aes Sedai with her although outwardly serene has become very irritable. She decides that Aradoa can take a five minute break from trying so that they could talk for a bit. The Aes Sedai hopes to puzzle out what the block is that is holding Aradoa back.

Aradoa answers all of the Aes Sedai's questions truthfully, but nothing of importance seems to have emerged until Aradoa is asked "What is your favorite possession?" Immediately Aradoa beams with happiness explaining the beautifully carved knife her father gave her before he died.
"It is my absolute favorite possesssion, Aes Sedai," Aradoa began, "it was given to me by my father for learning how to horseback ride. I was absolutely terrified to try, but my father insisted it was important for everyone to learn how. He had this knife made up in secret for when I finally became a good rider."

The Aes Sedai taps her finger on her lips thoughtfully "I wonder. . .," she says softly to herself. She turns her attention to Aradoa.
"Do you have the knife here in the White Tower with you, child?" She asked.
"Oh of course, Aes Sedai!" Aradoa exclaimed excitedly "I never go anywhere without it."
"Go fetch it and bring it back here. Quickly now child, go!" Aradoa jumped up, giving a hasty curtsy before quickly making her way to the Novice Quarters.

Aradoa gets to her room, grabbing her knife from under her pillow and runs back to the room.

Panting and out of breath, Aradoa rounds the corner and staggers into the room only to find no one there. She plops to the floor, her chest cavity still rising and falling rapidly as she tries to intake enough oxygen to replenish her body. She rubs her sweaty forehead with the sleeve of her dress, and runs her fingers fondly over the elaborate sheath of her knife.

Aradoa tenderly unsheathes her knife, the blade gleaming from the sunlight filtering into the room. She carefully ran her finger over the razor sharp blade that she sharpened every night before bed. She felt such pride and sorrow in the blade. Not a day went by without her missing her father. Silently the Aes Sedai entered from behind where Aradoa sat.

"What are you doing, child?" the Aes Sedai asked. Aradoa jumped, slitting her finger on the knife. She yelped, sheathed her knife, and bounded to her feet, curtsying.
"Don't get blood on anything," the Aes Sedai said half heartedly, and Aradoa put her finger in her mouth, sucking the blood off.
"Did you bring the knife, child?" Aradoa took her finger out of her mouth and replied, "Yes Aes Sedai, I did. Where were you?" The Aes Sedai quickly turned around, anger flashing over her face for an instant before it was calm and serene again.
