It's been a while since this change was made, and we started discussing it, but never really decided who should be made co-captain just in case something happens to one of the accounts/members.
Yesterday I made a general account on yahoo whose password I'm sharing with a couple people so that ownership of several yahoo groups won't be lost if something happened to me. It turns out yahoo groups can have multiple owners anyway (up to 15), so those of you who own yahoo groups might want to think about sharing ownership, or creating a general account with shared ownership.
So, our choices for co-captain would be any of the current mods, right? Or Purkle could be either the captain or co-captain and then the password for that could be shared. What do we all think?

Oh, I forgot, I also have a recommendation for two more active purkles to be made into mods.

i agree purkle should be made captain with shared access. Like Purklecouch in Neo. That way we keep consistency in the captain just in case.

If you mean like purklecouch being the main owner with shared access, then you voted for the wrong one. I think you voted for Purkle being co-captain, which is second in command, and nibbles staying as owner. That's a choice too. But I think I made the choices confusing?

I'm sure you all noticed that my brbidll account has become co-captain. I did that so as to run the halloween event. I do promise to completely demote her as soon as halloween is over. It just makes it easier for me to not have to watch what account I'm using at the moment. Also since I can't use firefox at work. Although gaia access there is not available yet...
I have not a problem with sharing Purkle with others. It just has been three times now that I offered it and was turned down by those I asked.

Let me lay the ground work so you all know what has been happening. (Yes, this is nibbles) ANyway, When the guild opened, Purkle was owner/captain. But it was just confusing to me to do the stuff the guild needed as her. SO I transfered the ownership to me and made it so that Purkle just became the mule for the couch. She is a mod as with others. I have asked a couple of the mods if they wanted access to Purkle, with no takers. So when I created my alter ego, I made her co-captain so as to make running the halloween event easier. She will be demoted right after the event. Unless we decide to do something for Thanksgiving/Christmas.

Back when I was offered shared access to Purkle, I was brand new to Gaia and still finding my way around, and unsure how often I'd be here. Now I know I'm pretty glued to the couch, I could certainly share access, along with some others now that it's come up again. If it's wanted, I'm available.
I have no objections to either of the two options of either neonibbles as captain, Purkle as co-captain with shared access, or Purkle as captain with shared access, or neonibbles as co-captain.
Maybe events and holiday stuff can be run from Purkle, as a guild account.
