How effective is your crew? If your a crew member, how effective is your leadership? Be nice of course, they might be watching. =P

Final Fantasy Alliance guild

I joined my guild about a month ago, so... October 2008. I was promoted about a week or 2 later to captain.

we only have 21 members... I just joined gaia, so I'm trying to learn alot very quickly to save this guild...

we have 6 subforms

my guild is totally asleep... I'm trying to wake them up.

the little crew I have helping me (about 1 or 2 people) are trying really hard, and I thank them for that.

I started my guild about 2 weeks ago..
technically it was a dead guild, and the owner promoted me to VC and is letting me run it however I like...

so far, I've got it set up but still not any activity from the members.. of course most were already there, and probably don't check it anymore, but the 3-4 people that have joined, and that I've invited have yet to post.

only 1 sub-forum.. it's for learning, and sharing techniques..

my guilds not active yet, but I'm checking it almost twice a day..

I'm the only cre besides the owner and the guild mule, which is also me..

I started my guild, Backward Glances, toward the end of last month. I don't really have any members yet because it's taken me a bit to get things as organized as I'd like before going public with it.

((I'm starting my -hopefully successful- ad campaign today!))

I have...9 subforums, maybe? Half were from the old guild and about half I funded/pulled out from the guild funds that were existing.

I used to run a kinship for an mmorpg, but after the loss of my computer ((it just gave out on me and I had a hard time getting a new one that could tackle the game)), it sorta fell apart but I thought I'd like to get involved in something again...so...here I am.

When did you first start your Guild? and Why? Or When did you get promoted and why?
I started my guild, City of Aekea Police, when I got fed up at the lack of a decent criminal justice community and policemans guild. As all the ones that existed I didn't really like. They took it a bit too seriously I think, a bit too much guns and ammo and fast cars and explosions. I've worked with the police IRL for a little while now and that sort of attitude is one that repels me just a little bit.. All the good ones had died as well at that point (which is saaaad). I thought I could try to make a guild on my own and make it.. Gooood. Also I had a few ideas of my own I wanted to try out that I'm still putting into place (because we're still new, innit) like skills and interesting things people with an interest in Criminal Justice can use IRL.

Has it been as successful as you would have hoped? If so, how did you make it happen?
Well.. We've been open less than a month and the original 'rush' of applicants seem to have slowed down quite alot. We've got a few very active and dedicated members though, but it would be nice to have a few more so we could do more things!

How many members do you have?
About 30, but only about half of that are active to any degree.

How many subforums?
5, all in use!

Do you think your Guild's pretty active?
Eeeh.. Maybe? Probably not though compared to other, more populous guilds! xd But it's a very nice little guild which is just fine at the moment. (Just as long as nobody leaves..)

How effective is your crew? If your a crew member, how effective is your leadership? Be nice of course, they might be watching. =P
Weeeell, there's only 3 'official' crew members. Glark I upgraded because good old Glarksie was the person who helped me actually make the guild with her rather lovely support n' all that, so I like having her input in the discussions of the 'high ups' even though she is yet to say anything! biggrin
Then there is me and my other profile, Ezra_Addle.
Finally there is the guy who originally had the guild and who wanted to stay on and be a part of what we were doing. But he's kinda busy at the moment.

So it's just me really! D= As time goes on I would like to appoint another crew member, just one though because we don't really need anymore...
But all my crew mates are all lovely and interesting people and I don't know where I would be without them! (Even though they aren't there very often! <3 )

Bone Haze Guild.
I started my guild April 10, 2009. I saw how someone else in the BRG ran her guild and thought it would be nice.

It has been pretty good for a guild of 15 days.

It has 21 members at the momnet.

I think we have 8 subfourms.

I think a good half of the guild is active.

My crew. They are just so helpful when it comes to getting new mebers and psts.

Hi guys!

I started my guild Lounge Regulars a bit over a month ago as a specialty guild - its for all the people who still visit Gaia Lounge (OMGaia app on Bebo) with their Gaia accounts regularly. I'm proud to say about 95% of the people who visit there regularly are members of my guild. The reason I made it was to have detailed lists of events, birthdays, and the like for everybody.

The guild has been successful beyond my hopes because of the fact that everybody has been so interested in posting. I never actually thought the guild would be as active as it ended up.

I currently have 35 members working towards 40 although 40 is pretty much the last number I can add to the guild since there's only so many regulars!

My guild has two sub-forums with more already paid for by the guild members who generously donated almost everything to the guild to supply enough sub-forums for a long, long time.

I think my guild is decently active, it could be more but for its purpose it is doing just fine.

I have three crew members - a vice captain who is my long time best friend IRL, and two moderators who I am great friends with and who have experience around guilds in the past, so it was an easy choice. Honestly its been a lot of fun overall and I'm happy to be a captain! Far as my leadership goes I've already had to make a tough decision regarding a couple of people and a situation but I did the only thing that was fair. Despite my own problems with people I've invited them to be a part of the guild because its not just -my- guild but everybody's guild who visits the lounge.

Car Talk is my guild.

I don't remember when I attained the guild, but I wanted to try my hand at captaincy.

It has not been as successful as I hoped but it has done fairly well. I've just used sigs with links.

I have thirty members but only about 5 or 6 are active.

I have 7 subforums covering different types of topics.

It is fairly active, it could be better.

My crew and mods are not very effective. They never come around anymore and don't really do anything for the guild. My VC just stopped coming when promoted. Don't understand.

I bought a guild called Naruto: Sasuke's Revenge about one year ago. I've changed my guild many times, and now I have a plot to stick with. All of the members quit, or were booted for inactivity, and I only have 2 people. Me and a vice captain are the only ones in my guild. I hope to make my guild more famous, and even publish a book I'm writing that I based my rp on. My guild is called MagiScape.

Kingdom of Shadows (KoS)

When did you first start your Guild? and Why? Or When did you get promoted and why?

I started the guild on June 2005 originally named Carnival of Outcast Psychos but after a few deaths of the guild I decided to rename it and revamp it into an RP guild. Originally started the COOP to be a hangout guild where all users could come to post about whatever they wanted, sort of like a lounge type guild.

Has it been as successful as you would have hoped? If so, how did you make it happen?

It was at first for about a year and half. Then right after the whole guild remodeling thing back in 06 (or was it 07, can't remember) my guild started to die due to the fact that no one had posted for an entire week and I tried all I could to get the members to come back and post but because of that remodel lot of users had quit Gaia. The prosperity of the guild was in it's users who actively and regularly came and posted everyday and as much as they could, there was really no need for moderation although it was there.

How many members do you have?

Only 79, but we used to have over 100+ and we have over 15,000+ posts in the guild.

How many subforums?

Only five but that's all that we need.

Do you think your Guild's pretty active?

Not really. It's pretty much dead again, for like the fourth time.....Personally getting tired of guilds....

How effective is your crew? If your a crew member, how effective is your leadership?

There really isn't a Crew there anymore since I'm going through a remodel process right now. So there is no real use for Crew members.

A Small Word Games Guild

When did you first start your Guild? and Why? Or When did you get promoted and why?
Well, I was Promoted to Captain around the end of 2008. It's an older guild from about 2005. The first leader passed it on to the previous leader when he basically quit Gaia. One day, I volunteered to tally something up (it was over 30 pages or so) and she realized that I wasn't a mod. I was then promoted to Crew. Since Crew was allowed to run events, I started up and ran a Christmas event in 2007. I was then promoted to Vice Captain for running things well and efficiently. I was doing more for the guild than most everyone. When real life stuff popped up for the leader, she gave me the leadership. She currently helps me out with my plans and even ran a really cool event in the summer. She gets on more now but still thinks that I make a better leader. I would give it back to her anytime she asked though. She's a really good vice captain. ^_^

Has it been as successful as you would have hoped? If so, how did you make it happen?
It's always generally been successful. I think that it's become even more active in recent times because of the 'Moderator Round-Table and Planning' subforum was purchased. We've been able to plan out the coolest events! It's so much easier to discuss plans between the captain and two vice captains when it's in a forum to reference to at any time.

How many members do you have?
I just did a cleaning out of old members (being an old guild means we had quite a few inactive or dead accounts) so now we have 249.

How many subforums?
We have 8 subforums, all with a specific function.

Do you think your Guild's pretty active?
I think that we are quite active.

How effective is your crew? If your a crew member, how effective is your leadership? My crew works fine. To be honest, there isn't too much to be done moderator-wise... Our guild is filled with fine people who follow the rules quite well. Most of our crew is people who run events and mules of the people who runs events. Event Running Mules who need to reach the mod-only subforum and set up new threads as announcements. I love my crew though. <3 I don't know what the guild would be like without them. One of them is our MOST active poster. He's posted ALOT.
