  So i'm looking into getting a program to download music on my laptop because it's awfully boring not listening to anything, and i'm too lazy sometimes to start up my desktop. I use Imesh on my desktop computer and, while it does have some songs, there's a large chunk of them that you can only download if you pay for them, laame. So i'm looking for a new music downloading program and i was wondering what you guys out there use.
In the past i've used napster, kazaa and warez. I will never use napster again, and both kazaa and warez have become torrent-only programs, which is fine, but for torrents i prefer azureus and bittorent. I also have limewire on my desktop but, for some reason it takes horrendously long periods of time to download anything.
The options i've come across so far just via google are Limewire (i'm willing to give it another try) and Blubster, i don't have much experience with either unfortunately, so here's what i'm asking you all:
What program do you use to obtain music from the internet? Do you like it? Is it easy to use? Are the downloads fast? Have you heard anything about the programs i mentioned i'd been looking at if you don't already use them? Have you tried them out? What were your impressions? etc.
There's plenty of discussion here. Basically, just reccomend me a good program that i can get my music fix from and i'll love you forever. <3

I use Limewire. But be sure you have good anti-virus just in case. I've had to stop about 3 trojans in my limewire life.

I use eSnips. It's a website, not a program, and it's only good for anime anyway. But I ran out of room on my computer because I play too many MMOs, so it's the only thing I can use xD The downloads take about 5 seconds for me biggrin

I am agreeing with Sylfy here. Kazaa seriously messed up my old computer BADLY a few years back.
Limewire and Vixy.net ARE AMAZING. @w@; Just gotta be careful what you're downloading on Limewire and you'll be fine. xd

Limewire is working fine for me, but if you want a change try using Ares, or AresGalaxy. They're somewhat reliable.

I use Limewire and I never had trouble with it. (like virusses etc) I do download the wrong things sometimes and get audio files with stupid blabber. Or files that are named something like "She goes nude and sex blahblahblah" instead of the song's name I'm searching for.
There's also Bearshare that my sis uses. I also have it installed, but I never use it. Only did like... once when I couldn't find a song on Limewire. Isn't as great as Limewire, though. ... Actually, I don't think it's great at all. o.o;;

I use Nipponsei.
But that's only for anime-related music.
Still have yet to find a place that'll allow me to download Crazy Loop. D8

First off, I feel I should say "Never download music illegally, pay for that s**t. mad ". But that's only because some morals make me.
I on the other hand, have NEVER used Limewire. I don't want that crap on my computer. XD;
Usually, if its :cough: anime music, I use Gendou.Com. They have nearly everything. XD;; Anime that is.
For everything else, I actually just use Google. To be specific, I use Google to get into open access website directories where people uploaded like full albums for their site.... and didn't restrict anything. The usual search consists of something like this (everything between the "", not including them): "intitle:index.of +mp3". The intitle makes it so it searches for "index of" places which are the little directory folders like "Index of /music" or "Index of /wedding_pics". The +mp3 makes it search for mp3 in the hits and then if you put a song title or band after the +mp3, say.... Suga Shikao... it'd be like this, "intitle:index.of +mp3 Suga Shikao nobody knows" and I'd most likely get hits of sites where people have that song in their files.
If I have extreme trouble finding anything by directories... I go to torrents if they exist. BitTorrent.

 I just use iTunes and pay for my own music legally.
my friend has suggested Pandora, though. it's not a "let's download music!" program, but more of an internet radio. it uses a feedback system that plays music you like, and introduces you to new, similar music. I never did try it out, but he really likes it, and he's a music fanatic, so I would trust him. regulus. pistris. arachne. mustela.
