So, all my parents do is depress me. For example, I have been rehearsing for a Broadway musical for months now, and after I preformed it in front of everyone, my parents told me how horrible I was and such. And then they wonder why I'm such a 'depressed child'. I tell them when they hurt me, but they don't really seem to care. They laugh at me and make fun of me even more. I find myself crying myself to sleep, crying in the shower, etc. Is there anything I can do, other than call child services or anything like that? Thanks in advance..

Move out ASAP?
Other then that, I don't see much else you can do besides avoid them. Just don't stay in the same room as them, when you can. If you have to, just finish up whatever you have to do and get out of there. See if you can get someone at school to help.
Not to mention, anytime they start to criticize you, just remember-They aren't the best people in the world, they don't know everything, and there are smarter and better people out there.

It's sometimes similar to me as well, so I know how parents often can tear one's self confidence apart totally sad If it's impossible to talk to them reasonably, then I think what you can do is just focus on school and your interests, try to be good in them and that will make you feel better about yourself - that you'll know you can do something and acheive some goals. Maybe your parents won't recognize your effort and success but the main thing is that you will feel better about yourself. Also try not to give them a reason for yelling at you and criticizing ... so, help at home e.g. with housework and other stuff when it's needed and don't let them find excuses that would justify them to accuse you of acting badly.

Ignore them. Sometimes, people think that they're "just teasing" and yet they actually just cause more pain. They might not realize that they're doing what they're doing.

Jeeze what jerks. Girl, if you got a Broadway part, be proud, what they say dosn't matter. You are 'da bomb!!!!!'
Ignore them, that's what I say, and move out ASAP. They'll miss you when you're gone, then, Oh well.
