User ImageTap. Tap. Tap. Tap~ Jack grinned stupidly, walking through his normal pathway in the woods. He knew the path well, and well, he wanted to get a little fresh air. With himself taking his walk, he decided to put on some music, not a care of the environment's opinion.

He smiled, pulling out his headphones and clipping them to his ears. Reaching yet again to his pocket, and flipped on his mp3 player. See, Jack was actually under dressed for today. No huge black jacket, no helipack, just his signature goggles, black pants, black boots, fingerless gloves and his sleeveless sweatshirt. (The maroon one with the Frankenstein's monster on the front. ) He bobbed his head to the music, unaware that his so called guardian floated behind him.

Indeed, she was behind him. Wuya had most of her powers back for the most part. She did miss her human side quite a bit, but that wasn't the point. Point is, she was tired of being around the boy, shaking her head she kept at pace, trying not to lose the idiot...

User ImageWhat was that?

He'd been dozing high up within the gnarled branches of a dead tree rather than brooding--having four, high-spirited grandaughters in training wore him out more than he'd like to admit. But, always a light sleeper, the sound of something harsh and clanging had been more than enough to stir him from his rest, black eyes practically bloodshot with irritation as he searched for the source. There. A flash of striking red against pasty fur, smothered in black clothing. His teeth ground themselves slowly together as the Uchiha glowered, tails beginning to flick slowly with palpable agitation.

Without thinking, he flipped one paw out to snap off a shriveled twig from his current perch, hauling it back to his teeth so he could grip it better. He didn't bother to sit up; narrowing his eyes slightly to take aim, the male deftly cast his head and threw the twig towards the currently oblivious, bobbing boy. Unless he made any sudden movements or jerked out of the way, the twig should smack right against one of those weird things he had clipped to his ears.

...With the way his luck was going lately, he wouldn't have even been surprised if it missed.

Jack instinctively gave out a shriek of peril, unclipping the headphone in the ear that had been hit, and looked around franticly. "What WAS that?!", he asked his guardian, feeling like he knew she was there all this time.

"....", she growled softly and pointed to the tree, her ears feeling pained from his stupid screams. "And QUIET down you oaf! Do you WANT to wake the dead?!", she growled louder, thinning her eyes.

Jack tilted his ears down, pulling off the other one and stuffing it into his pocket, turning it off too. He looked to the tree and blinked. Was there really a kit in there? He pondered to call out, then thought of the consequences...The kit could be a horribly evil and monstrous thing that could rip him to shreds...

What in the name of seven hells was that sound?! That was even worse than the music before! The shriek had made his ears pin, lips pulled back in a grimace until the piercing sound finally stopped. The ghostly guardian was definitely the sharper of the two, picking out his position without trouble. Then again, he wasn't hiding. Her growl unconsciously made his lips twitch, threatening to smirk even as the surly male drew himself up. How annoying. These two weren't going to be any trouble.

"If you're going to travel throught these woods, keep it down." He said, his tone soft and scathing. "Otherwise next time maybe that stick will find a more vital area." Dark bangs were flicked idly from his eyes before the male took to wordlessly staring at the pair, noting their attire, and, the fact that the kid seemed to be wearing some sort of make-up.

...He didn't want to know. Honestly.

He chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. "S..Sorry buddy. I kinda get frightened easily sometimes..", he blinked, flattening his ears, "I'm usually a lot quieter in these woods.....", he blinked, whining. "Ahh..I..I'll pass on that..."

He noted on how the kit looked and blinked at the shining headband that went across his forehead, "Hey, your one of those ninjas, right?", he asked, grinning.

"I wonder HOW I stand to live with you sometimes, you friggin idiot...", she growled, sighing. "Good God.."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2008 3:17 pm

"I doubt that." Came the bored retort, dark eyes closing themselves briefly as though exasperated he even needed to comment. "That racket was so loud that I'm surprised you can still hear me." He was referring to the music, and considered after that maybe he should have specified. "Hmph." The other wasn't rising to his tautns, or even getting offended. Sasuke didn't see a reason then to deliberately antagonize him any further.

Brows raised skeptically at the recognition of his hitai-ate--no one, save for his family, had ever before understood the significance of the headband. "Mm. Not bad." That was as close to a 'yes' as Jack would be getting. "Most people here don't recognize it. How did you?" He certainly didn't look like a ninja. Then again, Sasuke had definitely met some freaks before...but with those reflexes, there was absolutely no way.

Wuya's comments were noted, and he was half-tempted to say something snarky. Mm. She was a guardian, then, like Pakkun. Didn't look very useful...

"Really? I didn't even know at all my music was loud..", he blinked, reaching into his pocket to make sure it was completely off. And since he knew it was, he plopped on his butt, looking up at him.

"Well, I had an aquantince and hired guy who was a ninja...Except he was really heavy set...", he nodded, "But I never got to see his face, he was all garbed in black and stuff...Like I usually am." he grinned, showing off his semi-yellowed fangs.

"....Meh. That guy wasn't really a great one...he desired too much food for my tastes..." she chimed in, rolling her eyes.

"First sign of going deaf." Sasuke was beginning to regret starting up this conversation now, knowing he'd lost his only chance at sleep. He rarely dozed as it was, claws flexing faintly into the wood as he cracked his neck at a vain attempt to soothe his irritation. The pale kitsu sat below him then, signaling that he wasn't about to leave anytime soon, and the Uchiha clenched his jaw wordlessly before laying back down on his branch. Looked like dealing with teenage girls had done at least a little to help his patience.

"Mm." Mercenaries, then. No one from an established village ninja. Those were the worst kind--they grew stupid and let their skills grow dull. "Bet he didn't last long." Some ninjas covered their faces, this was true, but not all. And most certainly didn't wear just black, save for stealth missions at night.

"Why were you hiring ninjas?' He questioned now. An assassination, to gather information, or even for protection--there were plenty of reasons. but this kid and his more clever companion? Hmm...

"But, I'm not?", he muttered, fixing his goggles a bit. They felt really off to him, and he wanted to fix the irritation, before speaking. "No, he shooed himself off, and then I had another partner..Then I kidnapped his dog to make him work for me again. Hah..That was a fun thing to do.."

He paused, scratching his chin, "Let's see...Both times were so I could get Shen Gong Wu before my opposing side could, but after the first time he failed, he decided it wasn't for him..." he shrugged, flickering an ear.

"....Meh." was all the old hag could actually think of saying for the moment about all that..
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2008 4:55 pm

Uh-huh. Sure. He didn't feel like arguing about it. His murky eyes slowly flickered from the other to stare elsewhere, then returned, a soft grunt of acknowledgement in his throat the only sign that he was actually paying attention. What was he supposed to say? Something about kidnapping a dog, so on and so forth... Whoever that was must not have been a ninja. A poseur, maybe.

"I don't know what that is." He said idly, having never heard of...well, whatever that was. Shen Gong Wu? Was it a technique? Doubtful. He honestly didn't care about any of this, but he'd slowly become accustomed to mindless prattle and asking the right questions so whoever it was could keep on chattering. At least this guy wasn't going on about the opposite sex and what was 'in style' or not.

His gaze thoughtfully fixed itself upon Wuya again, perhaps wondering. "You've...accompanied him through this?" She had her reasons to stick around, obviously, or else he assumed she would have left a while ago.

"Ah..Thought you wouldn't have. Not a lot of kits really know what the Mystical Items of the Shen Gong Wu are," he chuckled, his tails flickering a bit. "If you want an explanation of them, I can tell, and show you a few of the ones we've found on the island already."

He loved his collection of Wu, they were all ones that he couldn't stand to live without, the Monkey Staff, the Ying and Yang Yo-Yos, and much more. He thought he'd never see them again, ever since becoming a kitsusagi.

"You are correct. In fact, he released me from my puzzle box and I was free to roam as a ghost..." she growled softly, flickering her ears. She HATED being a ghost, and she missed herself as a human, it was much more lovely than being a ghost, she knew that much..even if it meant taking human responsibilities again, she didn't care..
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2008 5:53 pm

Now that sounded like a gamble he wasn't really sure he wanted to take. If it involved more mindless chatter... but if these were items that possessed some sort of power, he couldn't help but be intrigued. At the same time, he doubted the credibility of this guy. Distraction arrived in the form of his small companion, earning another arched brow from the Uchiha. "You don't look like a ghost." More like he didn't believe in them.

Without warning, the male had idly rose to his paws and leapt, plummeting straight out of the tree as though on a kamikaze mission. Chakra, unseen and unfelt, crackled against the pads of his paws and let him leap from tree trunk to tree trunk until he hit the soil below. Straightening without even the barest hint that he'd done something unusual, a dark eye fixed itself upon Jack.

"...All right."

"That was cool," Jack cooed, watching his jump, when he landed and was at ground floor, he cleared his throat. "O-"

"Yes, I know I do not look ghost-like as of NOW...but believe me...I am a ghost...", Wuya sharply spoke, interrupting the boy.

Jack stared at her for a moment, then coughed, "Anyways...The mystical Shen Gong Wu..Where to begin....", he pondered for a moment, then nodded, "About 1500 years ago, there was a great Grandmaster named Dashi. Wuya, as a human was a powerful witch who almost destroyed the world in her list for power. The creation of the Shen Gong Wu was to overpower her power and seal her power forever. In a great clash, she lost," he paused and laughed, "...And, was sealed within a magical Chinese puzzle box. Now, with her in the puzzle box, Dashi and his dragon companion, and Shen Gong Wu sensor, spread and hid the mystical items around the world, supositvly in a sleep for many many years," he grinned, cracking his knuckles, "However~ Thanks to my father, I had acquired the Puzzle Box, freeing Wuya from her hold, and giving her the ghost form she took on for a while. I say that because after we found the two Shen Gong Wu needed to turn her back to human, she took her powers back and well, we had to shove her back in..", he growled softly, "I hate sharing the evil limelight, and she was way too powerful.."

Nodding, he shrugged, "So yeah..Wuya and Dojo sense the Shen Gong Wu which were awaken when I released Wuya. And, that's the end of all I can tell you."

Wuya just sat there snarling at him. How DARE he make her seem like such a fool!?
PostPosted: Sun Apr 06, 2008 12:43 pm

He quirked a brow at the compliment and shrugged it off without much thought. To him, it'd been nothing more than a basic skill that even children knew... but to someone who wasn't a ninja, he supposed it was pretty impressive. An idle glance at Wuya revealed that he was skeptical, but he saw no point in saying anything otherwise. A ghost? Well, if the Skarecrow could be a zombie, maybe it wasn't too far of a stretch.

As the pale kitsu began to speak, he listened carefully though his expression remained impassive and almost bored. So, the little guardian was called Wuya? And... used to be human? He had to resist the urge to shake his head a little, flicking his ears mildly. Wait. He clamped down on his growing irritation to puzzle this through; these items were created to stop that little guardian? Furthermore, once they'd accomplished their goal of 'fixing' her... they'd basically reversed what they'd done? "I see. So, in short, why exactly are you collecting these... things? It's like you have no set goal in mind." And that was rather sad.

He eyed Wuya for a moment more, a smirk threatening to curl at one side of his lips. "Granted what you desired most just so it could be stripped away from you again... Hmph." Another pair of wanna-be-villians, mm? He wasn't impressed, in short.

"Well actually, I have a stable plan of world domination," he explained, shaking his head. "But, they're key for the domination, and if the opposing side we were against were actually here, we'd have a problem getting them, because we were constantly in a Xiaolin Showdown, which came to when we both fought over Shen Gong Wu."

He nodded, proud of his knowledge of the mystical artifacts.

"They've already taken away twice, I've gotten them back, though. It's just waiting for the right Wu to be reveled again.." she explained, growling slightly. "And besides, it is always worth the wait..."
