For my band's spring concert this year, we're plaing Godzilla Eats Las Vegas and Capriccio Espagnol. Comments? Suggestions? What is your band playing for spring concert?

I like the name of the first one. xd
Let's see...we're playing a lot of stuff, mostly easy things.
Stars and Stripes, Distant Thunder of the Sacred Forest, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bavarian Folk Dance (not sure if we're playing this, since us 8th graders already played it in sixth grade), Rock Around the Clock, and Wipe Out.
I'm not sure if this is the final list, though, because it's possible we could get a couple harder pieces to play, and not this easy stuff.

We'll have two spring concerts, one this week and one in early May. I don't know what we'll play for the last one, but this next one, our concert band is playing Flight of Valor and Roswell, 1941, and our Wind Ensemble is playing Overture to a New Beginning and Prelude and Rondo (I love this song). These are also our contest pieces.

Our spring concert is filled with Senior Solo's so we don't know what is happening yet. We have the entire star war's suite out, which would be cool, but Mr. Albert has expressed wanting to do the civil war themed concert, which is supposed to be next year because we did it freshman year, but whatever.

We've got Invicta, Welsh Rhapsody, Overture in a Classical Style, Air for the G String, and Chaconne of First Suite in E Flat for Military Band.
Should be fun!

We're doing Nemesis, Plaza de Toros, Barnum and Bailey's Favorites, Highlights from Fiddler on the Roof, and Crazy Train. biggrin

Our May concert, we're going to play Glacier Bay and Through Darkened Sleepy Hollow in our concert band, and Exaltations and part of the Second Suite in F (I think). Exaltations and the Second Suite are a lot of fun. They have some great parts.

spring concert=hell on earth
i think we were playing our competition pieces: Antiphonal Celebration, Imperium....ehrrm...and....comet ride...
ehrrm...
or we played: circle of life, the incredibles, on broadway.

We played Highlights from Disney's Aladdin which included Arabian Nights, Friend Like Me and a Whole New World. We also played I'm a Believer from Shrek, and Rock Around the Clock from Happy Days. The last one was fun because I had a solo.

Our main piece for our spring concert was written by a student that was going to college in composition. It was called, "The Dancers." Other than that, we played some John Williams pieces and something else... Don't really remember that concert well.

We played Amazing Grace, Gentle Tuba, The Tempest, Homage to America, Highlights from Wizard of Oz, and Highlights from High School Musical.

We played: Concert Bb,Concert Bb Chord,Concert Bb Scale(These are not songs, of course... xD) 1)Ceremonial Procession 2)Air and Caprice 3)Montego Bay(-_-) razz I hope we have something better in 7th grade!

I luv my spring concerts my last one i had a solo and it sounded great but i wus so nervous and my old teacher wus there i wus so happy but yea i dont have an idea i am bout to play in football games

well i cant really remeber wat our songs were by but i wus so nervous for my spring concet beuase i had a solo but i wasnt nervous playin wit all of it an this was my first time wit a solo and i wus even more nervous fro my first concert in winter but my solo was theme from "new world symphony"
