The cubs, well they hadn't been cubs for a long time, children then had wandered off months ago but she still felt an attachment to them. She wanted the little ones around again so she had someone to care for and make sure they were fed and alright. It just seemed odd to have just her and Tamba again. It was almost like there was something missing.
She figured she would get over it eventually but for the moment she was a bit out of sorts. Tamba had gone off to hunt without her, promising to bring her back something so she didn't have to do all the work, and she'd decided to wander toward one of the local waterholes.
She knew she could make it back by the time Tamba returned or that he'd come looking for her. He always did. She smiled at the thought of her mate as she settled near a small pond to get a drink.

How long had it been since he stretched his wings? Probably not too long ago, but it felt like a while to him. The ability to fly usually filled those whom had wings with joy, but not he... no, he who has no heart. Along with his heart that flew away went his caring, joy, and overall emotions. It got to the point that wherever he walked all good thoughts seemed to drain away from his surroundings. The male wasnt depressed, no it wasnt that, this was just how he was. He was pretty much emotionless, so even the feeling of depression seeped out of his soul.
Souring through the skies he decided it was time to land, he had nothing better to do. Landing close to what seemed to be a waterhall his paws his the ground with a "thunk". Overly long claws that could never be retracted, dug into the patch of earth.
Kasa'fa Moyo, Kasa for short, made his was towards the watering hole. Was there someone else there? Feh, why care.

She heard rustling in the grass and looked up. Something else was around and it wasn't Tamba. It didn't smell like him .... it didn't smell good at all.
Backing away from the water slowly she crouched down. As long as she stayed quiet maybe nothing would happen. Whatever it was might walk past the pond and ignore her completely. At least she hoped.

Appearing out from the grasses the male stalked towards the watering hole, he looked up for a second, he knew the female was there... he might not have emotions but he didnt lose his sense of smell. He looked at her for a long second with glowing eyes, and stalked towards the watering hole for a drink when he looked away. Lowing his head he lapped the water to the best of his abilities, sometimes large fangs where not a good thing!
"You gonna stare all day?" He grunted, not really caring if she did or not.

She tensed slightly at the sight of the creature. That was a ... a God. She'd never seen one before but her family had talked of them before. Lions with wings.
"Only a fool would take their eyes off something they were not sure of." She had been raised as a huntress and that she would always stay. There was o way she'd turn her back on a unknown.

Her words didnt strike him as anything really important, so with a simple shrug he didnt move from where he was, but just lowered his head to drink a little more.
Once finished, his gaze once again looked to where she was, just a mortal lioness. "And only a fool would let one such as myself come so close, if you felt so unsure of me." With that he started to move towards her a few paces, not directly not.. but in the general direction. If anything if he kept moving straight he would walk right past her around 5-10 feet away.

When the lion started to move toward her she backed up, still crouched close to the ground. She didn't want him getting any closer to her than he already was. Something about him just seemed, off.
She didn't know what it was but she didnt' trust it. Just the thought of him getting any closer filled her with dread of loosing something.

If he truely had any emotion, he might have smirked at the fact that she was backing away... if he leaned towards that side of the spectrum. But he was heartless, so his personality would always be fit towards that side even if he didnt try to. He couldnt have emotions such as joy and happyness, so assuming things they would assume he was dark and evil, instead of being neutral. Though he did have his moments, he would be ruthless in battle and show no mercy.
"Terrifying am I?" He flicked one ear, one of his tendrils moving with it. He didnt slow, or speed his walking pace. It stayed the same heading for the same spot, even though he wasnt going head on for her he was still getting slightly closer to her with each passing paw step." How kind of you to think so."
A mouse darted out infront of him, he knew it was there but he wasnt hungry so he just ignored it. The mouse itself though, stared up at the male lion... and even though we didnt know how it was feeling, its ears lowered from being perky and it wandered off, almost seeming to mood switch entirely just from being too close to the god.

"Terrifying is not the word i would have chosen." She wasn't exactaly afraid of him. She was wary. "You seem ... off. I am uncomfortable with it so i choose to stay away." She continued to back away from him in a half circle always keeping the distance the same if not further.
The mouse went almost unnoticed as she tried to keep her focus on the God. "You .... are a God am i correct?"

It seemed like she just wanted to talk, so he would oblige. AFterall, whynot? what else was there to do, fly?
Stopping his movement, because he also noticed no matter how close he got to the other lion she would not approach him any closer. Laying down on the soft grasses he wrapped his non-furred tail around his body. "What if i am? " He lifted up one of his large wings for a moment before laying it back down, as to emphasize his point.

"I have never encountered one before." Once he lay down she relaxed a bit. Not completely, she still wasn't sure he wouldn't try something funny, but enough that she wasn't crouched down against the ground as if she was going to run.
"If you are one you must be a God of something .... what is it?" His looks were odd and gave her no clue as to what he could be. It wasn't anything she recognized.

Well, never seeing one before would explain why she was hesitant, feh he didnt blame her.
"Well now you have, congratulations." Talking in his usual monotone he gave no hint of emotions, his eyes stayed the same blank glowy stare of a expression since he landed from flying, and till he laid down. "Why dont you take a guess."

"I don't know if i could. You seem ...." Her only idea of what he seemed sounded a bit rude to say. "Forgive me if i offend you, but emotionless." There was nothing to his tone, his expression hadn't changed once since she'd seen him come out of the grass. It was like there was nothing there.

"Thats why happens when one has no heart." His expression still did not change, what she said didn't offend him. What does it feel like to be offended? If she didnt understand his domain with that huge hint, then the mortal lion was hopeless.

Her brow furrowed and her ears fell a bit. Heartless? How .... She'd heard of others called that before but she'd never believe in it. Mostly when someone called others heartless it was because they seemed not to care for their fellows, not because they had no emotion.
"You can't not have a heart. It's impossible." Everyone had one. There was always something there even in the worse possible cases.
