Agro’s body slammed against the dry earth as Tahka stood over him and snarled, clawing at his sides and face. Pure hate is what drove the red male to attack his friend. Pure hate.
"How could you!"
Tahka’s voice grew as he stood before Agro and snarled deeply, clutching his jaws shut. He couldn’t believe that his friend was being so dishonest. He growled deeply and stood before him like a black shadow, eyes narrowing sharply.
“How could you do this to me, Agro. After all I have done for you, how could you betray me like this, to go back out into the pride lands, seeking off to see some female.”
He snarled again and looked away.
“I don’t understand why you are doing this, but you are going against our law.”
“Tahka, I know what I did was wrong, but I love her!”
Agro spat out in response, snarling back at Tahka. If they weren’t hidden far from the rest of the pride someone would have been able to hear them by the way they snarled and swore, giving each other dirty looks and glances.
“I know what you did for me, I respect you! You are like a brother me to, Tahka! You saved my life, I know I owe you so much, but I can not give her up.”
He paused, standing down.
“I just can not.”
As Agro stood still Tahka’s nostrils flared with anger and discontent. He just couldn’t think straight, this wasn’t right at all. He could turn him in and have him killed for this kind of thing! Tahka was just so enraged.
“I don’t even know what to say to you right now, I’m so displeased. This kind of thing, well, I’d never aspect it from you.”
He paused and sighed, sitting down. His red eyes narrowed upon his friends figure as he looked out at the pride, thinking.
“Tahka, you can hand me over, tell everyone what kind of toratior I am, but I will never stop loving her.”
He spoke out, closing his eyes. Agro didn’t show Tahka any fear, no, the only emotion that played within his eyes was that of regret. He wished he never promised himself to this place.
There was silence.
“When did you meet her?”
“Before we left the pride lands. The night of… I think.”
Tahka’s nose wrinkled as he sighed.
”I don’t know of anything with you, Agro. Anything that regards you and what you do at night time when no one else is looking. I won’t say a thing because I do not know. If you get caught, boy, it’s your hide and you will go down alone. I will not protect you from the fangs and punishment of my sister.”
As Tahka words passed his mouth he stood and started to move past Agro, displeased and full of anger still.
“Tahka, wait..”
Agro called out as he moved to stand before his friend, smiling.
“Thank you, brother.”
“You are no brother to me, you are no kin of mine. Keep away from me for now, boy. I will not be with you any longer, not as a friend and not as family. You have picked your sides. Be warned. I won’t turn my back on MY pride.”
As Tahka pushed past him the black coated male sighed and sat still, gazing down at his paws. Was this really worth it? He didn’t know anymore.
