Brady's reaction.
"We're only going to score 17 points?" Brady said before chuckling about it. "OK. Is Plax playing defense? I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for scoring more points."
Plaxico reacts with...
"I don't understand what the fuss is about," Burress said, surrounded by at least as many TV cameras, microphones and notepads as Brady was two hours earlier. "Nobody wants to lose.
"All this is entertainment," added Burress, who was held out of practice Wednesday because of an ankle injury that has plagued him all season. "It's sports, and sports are entertainment. So 23-17 is the prediction I made, but the game still has to be played."
Plax says the Giants will win.. I think they will.. Do you?

I think the Giants can win, but it will be very tough.
Although other guarantee victories have been called out against the Patriots (although who were no-name players, unlike this case), and this may even be another rage to the Patriots' fire. Upsetting perfection may would be sweet, as a Giants fan...
...But here's my thought...You come to compete in the Super Bowl to win, correct? A player does not belong in the Championship if they are not compelled to win and have a high confidence. I have no problem with Plaxico predicting a win, because every player, in every game, on every team, no matter the circumstances, should think that he can be victorious. It is fine that he predicted a Giants win, as I...But he may have taken it a bit far by projecting the score he did...

I'm torn between two loves. My love of the only Garunteeed super bowl and the love of the pats not winning. What the hell Go giants! Joe Namath said it better anyway

Plus that Steeler guy was a no-name guy. Plax is a huge player for the Giants and if he predicts a win then let him, the game STILL has to be played. Ok? smile

Just read my 1st post in this topic. A player in the Super Bowl should be very confident, or else he doesn't belong here. I question his decision to make a score though... Anyways, I'm a bit worried and nervous, because Plax is listed as questionable, with a bad ankle (most of this season) and a bad knee (recent). I really hope he plays, because it's do-or-die here on in. sweatdrop

It's a player going into a game as confident as he can, and yes if that gaurantee doesnt work out then the player is basically screwed, but I think he had a right to.
