A tribute to a great NYG season in the NFL... The New York Giants defeat the Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field, in the best and most entertaining game of the entire NFL season. Probably one of the best, if not the best, football game I've ever seen (and I've seen plenty). Giants are off to the Super Bowl, to face the New England Patriots. As a huge Giants fan for all my life, I can't explain how happy and excited I am. The Giants outplayed the Packers for most of the game. Both teams committed a huge amount of penalties. This was the third coldest game in NFL history, and the Giants won in what is probably the toughest away atmosphere to play in. Packers played a great season, but just fell short. I had about 20 heart attacks during that up and down game, and what better way to make it to the Suer Bowl than a FG in Overtime? Every single player on the Giants played well. The Offense controlled the ball for the whole game. The Defense shut down Favre and Grant, and made huge plays. The Special Teams came up huge when they needed to. Also, great coaching by Coughlin, Spagnolo, and Gilbright. Great GM and ownership to sign such good players recently, who all committed. Pull together the effort for one more game. The Giants love the road, with an NFL record 10 straight road victories. Bring on the road Super Bowl, which should be a tough one against the Patriots. Let's end 19-0 talks. One more game, give all your heart and confidence. Super Bowl 42: Patriots/Giants. One team will emerge, that who wants it more. All I have to say is Go GIANTS exclaim

That game was horrible. Both teams made many mistakes, that Packers made a lot which really killed us. Especially that roughing the passer penalty that kept the Giants drive alive and getting a touchdown instead of the Giants not getting any points on the board and punting the ball away. Our offense couldn't do s**t except for the one touchdown down to Driver. Grant couldn't run at all so we had to be one dimensional the whole game, while the Giants actually running and passing game. Our defense got tired for being on the field most of the time and a little frustrated. The Giants did outplay the Packers because we played terribly, we couldn't advance the ball at all or establish the run. The weird thing is, if our offense played so badly how come the game was so close? I'm not taking away anything from the Giants but if we had limited our mistakes the game might've had a different outcome.

I agree with that both teams couldn't score when they needed to and if the packer s weren't so stupid on that one drive it would be the pats and the packers going into the superbowl.

Congratulations, Giants. Although the Packers had a stupid penalty that led to a Giants touchdown, the Giants had a similarly asinine penalty against the Pack, so it evens out.
Anyways, I'll now be hoping for the Giants in the Super Bowl. Hopefully Eli will get a ring to match his brother's.

Wow, you are no fan of old-skool football, or the NFL in general, if you say that game was horrible. It was the most exciting and suspenseful game of the entire season, and well worth the spotlight and viewing.

The Packers played a lot worse than the Giants, and not have won the game either way. Grant was a complete non-factor. Favre didn't play well at all. His two interceptions were horrible. His TD pass to Donald Driver was just a 20 yard lob, and Driver did the rest on his own. The Packers' second TD was made because of the personal foul against Madison, and was set up easily. Green Bay just got outplayed.
