The brightly colored stallion walked heavily through the ever falling snow. It had been a while since Spotty had seen snow and even though it was getting late, couldn't bring himself to go to sleep. He wouldn't really have anywhere to go even if he did want to sleep. A bed for him was usually made under a large tree; one that, hopefully, didn't have too much snow under it.
But this information wasn't important to the stallion. All he could think about was playing in the white snow. Spotty used to live where it snowed frequently, but had left that land a while ago. The only problem was that Spotty had no family to join him, and he was also lacking in friends. This made it hard to enjoy the winter weather and left Spotty to wander around through the snow-covered trees.

Kanti gave a whiffle at a a snowdrift that laid infront of her. The whole world was in a blanket of snow and nothing could have made her happier. Even though there was no longer any apples around the snow always made her happy and she enjoyed being able to play in it. Turning her blue eyes to the sky she watched as another cloud floated by before pouncing her way over the snow drift.
She gave a loud giggle as her feet sunk into the snow behind the snow drift. The snow was able to even reach her knees letting sending a shiver up her body. Kanti shook her head letting the beads ring with a joyful tune. Today was going to be a good day.

Spotty continued to walk around the white landscape in the deep snow. Never had he seen snow this deep before and more still fell from the sky. Looking behind him, Spotty could see a long path made by his hooves and legs. This amused the bored stallion, so he turned around and walked back through it. Growing even more bored and restless, Spotty made a sudden dash through the cold snow.
He kept his eyes open for any signs of another Soquili but they all seemed to be avoiding the cold. Which was something Spotty couldn't understand. Something about the snow made him feel like he was a foal again, excited and full of energy. Not even the bitter cold could keep Spotty from playing around.

Kanti's bright blue eyes looked around, she didn't see anything at the moment to play with. It was a pity really that Tsela had taken off earlier that morning in search of something else instead of remaining there to play with her. Oh well, it was about time her nephew to find someone else to be around besides her. At times she couldn't help but feel he was too much like a brother than what he needed to be.
Kanti gave another shake of her head before letting out a nicker of happiness. The sky was still pretty blue even though no birds sung. She could even hear the snow crunch under weight.. wait she wasn't moving, something else was from the direction that she had come... and it sound as if it coming close and louder.

The stallion's walked continued on and on, after a while he had forgotten how long he had been walking. But Spotty stopped suddenly as he saw a figure ahead of him. There was another Soquili only a few feet from him. A mare. A feeling of relief arose in Spotty; maybe now he could find someone to play with. This mare looked friendy, so Spotty decided to introduce himself. He had always believed a proper introduction was important.
"Hey, there!" he called the brown mare before walking towards her, "I'm Spotty Paws." Up close, the mare looked really nice. Even though his colors were so bright, Spotty had always liked natural colors on a Soquili.

Kanti rose a brow as something that looked more like a splatter of bright colors appeared on the trail. Actually if it wasn't for his bright spots he could have almost blended into the snow with his white coat, but his colors! They were so bright, and she was sure she had never seen anything to bright before.
She was amused by it really, not in a bad way. But she had met so many different soquilis ones with wings, one with feathers, and even some with horns, but never she wasn't sure they were quite as bright.
"Hey! I'm Kanti," she replied with a grin on her face.

So the mare was friendly. Spotty was often afraid that his outgoing personality annoyed others. But Kanti looked in no way annoyed and Spotty found that he felt much better now. He had grown tired of the silent forest. Looking up for a moment, Spotty noticed that, for the first time in about a day, it had stopped snowing.
"Are you doing anything right now Kanti?" the stallion inquired, wondering if she had time to join him for a game or something.

Kanti gave him a smile,
"Nope I'm not doing anything but wandering really and sort of missing a chance to play on such a wonderful day." Kanti replied shaking her head to tossle the beads from out of her face. She took another look at the bright colored soquili and noticed that he also had lovely beads tied in his hair! She had met so few soquilis with the same idea in their manes! She wondered if he loved to shake his head as well to listen to them...

Spotty could have lept for joy when Kanti said she didn't have anything else to do. Well, he would have if his legs weren't so cold from just standing around.
"Would you like to do something then?" the stallion asked with a smile, "We could play a game or something. We shouldn't let this day go to waste."
The landscape was almost too perfectly covered with the snow. This perfection made Spotty want to run around and mix it up a bit.

"I would love to play something! And I would hate to waste a day like this standing in the snow. Though I don't know what to play... my nephew usually had the habit of picking something out on the spurr of the moment I usually went along with it... soo.." Kanti replied with a smirk
"Surprise me!"
Kanti's mind didn't think about the snow all so much as prefection. It seemed empty like and it needed something to add to it, footprints, steps, or even a scatter of more snow flakes everywhere.

"Alright!" Spotty said, trying to think of a good game to play. Only a moment had past before an idea came and the stallion smiled.
He walked in a circle around Kanti before using his front hoof to flick a small ball of snow at the mare. While doing this he called, "Snow tag!" and ran a few feet away from Kanti. Spotty had always loved tag but wanted to play with the snow, since it wasn't around all year. So snow tag seemed like a logical game choice.

"Snow tag huh...... well then I have to warn you that I'm pretty good at playing games of tag" Kanti replied with a smirk on her face while she eased her way around.
Actually she had no idea how to play snow tag. She had never really heard of it, but taking by a guess she whould have to toss snow at the other player to actually be able to tag them. She knew that if she rushed at him he would move and well snow was a little hard to run quickly in.
She gave a jolt towards him, but stopping a few feet from him, waiting him to move, a smirk still donned her face.

Spotty was pretty proud of himself, he had managed to make up a new version of tag. He had played normal tag so often that Spotty had begun to lose interest in it. Snow tag would surely be more interesting...
The stallion kept his eyes on Kanti and decided to make the next move. He would try to get as close as possible to the mare, without letting her tag him with the snow. Putting this plan into action, Spotty made a sudden movement towards Kanti but found himself slowed by the deep snow around his legs. Spotty had not planned for that to happen...

Kanti's bright blue eyes watched as he tried to rush towards her, but soemthing had happened. A smirk started to spread on her face as she realized that he hadn't planned in the factor of the snow. Snow had a tendency to always slow even the quickest soquili down. A giggle spread up Kanti's thoart and escaped,
"What happened to your plan Spotty? You wouldn't want to come too close or I might tag you!"

Spotty laughed as he struggled to move his legs faster. It had been so long since he walked in snow that he had forgotten it was fairly hard to walk in. And that it was even harder to run in.
"I just wanted to make it easier for you," Spotty said with a smirk, trying to cover his little mistake. This time he tried move towards the other side of Kanti and would hopefully have more success.
