I'm on top of a hill, so no flooding for me. But the roads at the bottom of the hill have 4 inches of standing water on them, and I've got a late start for school tomorrow. But, I do know my voice teachers studio has been flooded, it was smack dab in the middle of the area that got really badly hit in woodinville. D:

When I had left there this morning, the waters had gone down, but there was mud EVERY WHERE, and the rain had started again. ITs pretty bad. Monroe isn't that bad, but 522 was shut down last night, and still partially shut down today! I may not be able to get to work tomorrow morning O_O

I know the news blows everything out of proportion, but they really made a fuss about it being "the biggest rescue effort since Katrina", and KOMO4 said the damage was reminiscent of a category 3 hurricane. Washington? Hurricane force wind? Frickin' awesome. ^_^
Ok... Not so awesome when you live in front of two huge bigleaf maples and an old douglas' fir that threatens to crush and kill everyone in this house... But the urgency and vicariousness is entertaining.
There were lakes where there were no lakes before. Monday night I went Christmas shopping and we had to drive through 3 different flooded areas. Granted it was only a couple of inches of water, but it still was much more than last year. Last year's was only bad because the Snohomish dike broke. This year was on the same scale but the 10" of rain in 24 hours really swelled creeks. A whole cow pasture near here was under about 4 feet of water from a nearby crick.

Well, the flooding wasn't bad along I5. I drove it friday of the storm and throughout the weekend. I totally know I hydroplaned though! ANd my car is like... plexiglass, so I flew. :0
At home in Gig Harbor, we were fine. Just wet.
In Seattle, things looked fine too. But I guess living up on Capitol Hill has something to do with that. :]

Um, if you drove I-5 from Gig Harbor to seattle then you got DIVERTED. Because they closed it down. For days. As far as I know it was closed till at the VERY LEAST today. It wasn't much of a divert, but there was one around Centralia. I-5 was under several feet of water at one point.

It was interesting driving to school the first day of the storm from my girlfriend's house in the Bothell area. Apparently a retention pond overflowed and it caused a huge backup on 405. Water from the pond even formed a little waterfall down to 405, it was pretty cool but took an hour just to get through Bothell >.<

My friend has pics of Bond Road from the inside of the car, while driving through it. You could not believe how deep it was, they said it was ore like they were in a boat than a car.
