I'm a sophmore. I play Bass 1 aka the baby bass because our bass 1 is only 18" compared to other schools 20" bass ones. I play it because I'm 4 9" and too small for any other drum...

I'm Neil and I'm a Junior in High School. I've played bass 2 for all three years. Freshman year there were 4 basses, Sophmore year there were 3 and this year there were 4 again. I've been the bass captain for my Sophmore and Junior year, although the bass captain isn't officially elected or anything like that, and they don't get any special authority either. I just kinda tell the other people how to play the music and all that crap. Next year I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be the section leader, but that's not totally set in stone just yet. I live in Southern California.

What's up everyone? I'm Lucas and I was in my high school's drum line 5 years. (Long story on why I was in school for 5 years but to put it simply, I got lazy along with personal problems. But I graduated this year)
But I played cymbals for the first three years because I had little self confidence on the other instruments but then I played bass drum for the last two years and was actually bass line captain both years, lol. I'm amazing at the snare drum, I just love bass line so much more. Especially since I could set the 5 basses up and play all of our cadences alone 3nodding mrgreen
