The majestic Takijinsei, a greatly spanning waterfall, perpetually churns its water from a large, mysterious underground well that developed as an unexpected side effect of the warring times against the United Hidden Villages. The surrounding area that was once the innermost areas of the old Konohagakure are flooded, sunken, or simply creating small islands dotting the lake surrounding this impressive waterfall. More curious than the waterfall itself is the abundant natural energy flowing through the waters and very obviously affecting the environment. Trees throughout the area that was once the Hidden Leaf village have grown immense, along with other overgrown and overly abundant vegetation. Even the landscape itself seems to have eroded and grown in inexplicable ways, terraforming much of the land for miles.
This is all because the seemingly indefinite and completely independent water source has overtaken what was once known far and wide as the Great Hokage Monument serves as its fountain-like basin. Because of this, those attuned to natural energy can partake in this boon after they drink from the waterfall's bounty then meditate to gather that energy for theirself. Miraculously, these enchanted waters do not threaten the same dangers as haphazardly interacting with natural energy usually does (no petrification, etc.). As such, medical professionals believe this water may have exceptional value.

tabFar ahead of the group now Lahlil stepped from the trees into the open space of the... lake? That wasn’t what she had been expecting at all. From her vision she had only made out the appearance of the waterfall and not it’s surroundings. Just how was she was supposed to build a village around this? Squinting over the expanse she was suddenly very grateful for Shorui at this moment. Had he not altered her emotions then she might actually be starting to worry over this situation. Either way however, it seemed her worry wouldn’t last long.
From the flat waters came the shape of a woman, slender and more beautiful than any she had ever seen. She wore a snow-white dress and carried with her a glow that light up the grass around her causing it to overgrow into many different kinds of flowers. With graceful movements she placed herself right in front of Lahlil and slid her fingers along her cheek.
She made sure to stand her ground but made no move to retreat under her touch. Lahlil knew all too well the dangers of a simple touch in this world but was confident that she would be able to see through any genjutsu that was placed on her. Thankfully none came. In its place were only the honey smooth words of a true goddess. “Hello, Lahlil.”“H-hello? How is it that you know my name?”“I know the names of all my children who seek the path of harmony and nature. It is why I have granted you use of this area.”“I… see. I am very appreciative of that thank you but how am I to build a village on water?”“You are capable of answering that for yourself, I think. Though before any of that can begin, you must reclaim the forests from those unworthy. They desecrate my lands with their filth! Thus you shall act in my will and my full gift to you shall be granted unto you.”
The uncertainty of her words set Lahlil on the defense. Was she really going to entrust her people future on the promise of some woman she knew nothing about? immediately the answer no came to mind, but that left the question of what to do now. The spirit woman it seemed wouldn’t give Lahlil the chance to deny her offer as her being vanished into particles of light before her very eyes, leaving the young kage to stand there wondering if she had ever really existed at all. With the ruffling of the foliage came the echoing stomp of feet and Lahlil knew that the others had found their way to her. “Whatcha lookin at?” The easily recognizable voice of Noud came from over her shoulder, although she noticed that he had been making it a point never to step too close to her. Something that she found a little funny. “Just our new home.”
From the ground there came a small quake not unlike the one that followed the eruption of the volcano. This one however, was meant for their salvation and not destruction. Rock, dust, gravel, all of the earth burst forth from the ground and shaped itself to her will until a perfectly made castle was placed before hem. Its size was such that it could easily maintain the population, although it’s comfortability would be severely questioned. With her fort in place Lahlil turned back to the crowd waiting for them all to funnel in before she spoke. “Everyone who is not a shinobi please go inside! We can take a census once everyone is safe. Those of you who are shinobi please report to me immediately for assignment.”
(( TL;DR Big stone castle is our new base camp for now, You can go inside and rp with a nameless Jounin trainer to learn jutsu from, Anyone who wants to can come to me for a special team mission where we will take back the surrounding area, once that is done I will be giving out missions for you all to help build the village. ))

__ Nabuya shuffled into the area with the rest of the civilian and shinobi herd with Kasumi close in tow. He had literally no idea where Shisui had bounced off too, but obviously the old b*****d didn't mind ditching them during all the excitement. 'Oh well! He's jus' missin' out'n da cool secret. Butters betta keep his mouth shut doe. Ain't nobody got time fer a snitch.' Glancing around again, he could feel his senses swelling. 'Ugh... they coulda picked a less 'noying spot though, right? Too much goin' on 'round'ere.' He could tell that they were all practically wading through an excessively abundant level natural energy in these lands. Looking back to Kasumi, Nabuya would say, "Oi, Butters, I'mma go look 'round. Catch up wit'cha later." He'd give his academy rival a brief salute with his right hand's index and middle fingers then disappear into the gradually scattering crowd of people. Everyone was probably gonna be busy settling into their new homes and whatnot, so they probably wouldn't miss an academy student who had only been there for a whole day before everything hilariously went to hell in a gift basket.
Even though the blond lady was calling for ninja to report to her, he just kept to his own. He wasn't even a full-fledged ninja anyway so she probably didn't want or need his help. "Not dat I'd want ta anyhow..." Nabu grumbled as he strode further out into the verdant lands. Once he was alone he commented with an annoyed tone, "Dis place's just burstin' wit energy." He place a hand on a bolder that was interwoven with countless roots and vines. It was unnatural- or rather, it was overly natural. Honestly, he'd never seen anything like it. Nabuya didn't have to think hard to see that whatever was causing this was very powerful. The problem with things that were powerful was that it always attracted the weak too. Putting aside the refugees, there were many other weaklings gathering at the edges of the land. Few others could probably also detect them, however. Probably none of these shinobi, that's for sure. Nabuya tensed his grip on his unique sword and smirked. "Maybe I'll go get s'more exercise. Y'down, Oinari?" The sword subtly pulsed and despite her silence the spirit was clearly in favor of participating. Nabuya began his hunt, far from prying eyes. He had a feeling he'd still have to hold back to avoid those nosy sensory powers that some ninja apparently had.

Byakko stopped in his mindless tracks when he felt a chill crawl down his spine. His eyes went wide and the tiger's muscles all tensed at once. Both of their oracle abilities allowed them to sense what came next. Both man and best turned around as from the field of flowers manifested the vision of a woman. Just her spirit was enough to expel cosmic scale waves of nature chakra. The human shielded his eyes while the tiger charged a ball of storm chakra. The ball flew forward and passed harmlessly through the woman. "Byakko. Byakko." She said with a polite bow of the head to both, ignoring the attack that went through her to no avail. Byakko was ready to pounce when Kazuto raised his hand to stop him, which halted the tiger temporarily. "It's rare to see you these days. Word on the street is that you have been busy with some naughty sons." He said, feigning confidence. Truth be told he was terrified of being turned back to stone. The mother sighed as she rolled her shoulders.
"You know kids. They're always in such a rush to think that they're grown ups." She said with a nurturing smile and a chuckle. Byakko laughed back appropriately, but in reality he knew that this was all a facade. "Unfortunately they both have toyed with something which has made a real mess of the natural world. And that is the exact reason why I need your assistance." Byakko raised an eyebrow as the tiger continued to snarl. "Oh? What favor does the divine goddess need today?" Kazuto asked as he went to light a cigarette. A blast of wind chakra sliced the cancer stick into ribbons before he could light the match. "I don't appreciate smoking, if you don't mind." She said as Kazuto lowered his lighter. "There's a group of refugees here . I have those who praise well to the wise wisdom of, well, you know." She said with a knowing glance. Kazuto bowed formally. "It seems my good work has been spreading! More people are recognizing the Good Mother." He said in a way which almost made the tiger vomit.
"Because of their patronage, I have rewarded them with a temporary home. However, before I allow this land to be theirs, I require them to rid this land of filth." Byakko's eyes narrowed on the woman as she used the word. It was a rare moment when the evil within her was allowed to seep through her gentle persona. "Why not deal with it yourself? Don't tell me you've gotten lazy in your ol-" Stone hardened his chest and then his lungs, hindering him from finishing his sentence. The tiger also felt his whole body become stone once again. "I will not allow back talk from a God who no longer has the powers of prayers behind him." She answered before her hand waved in front of her. The bodies of Kazuto and Byakko returned to normal as they both gasped deeply for air. "To answer your question, however, let's just say that these vermin have something which I would like to see destroyed. So find the refugees, remind them of who you serve, and help them dispatch this force from my lands." The woman departed once she finished. Byakko looked at one another as they decided that it would be suicide to try and run or not assist. Therefore, they haphazardly looked for the vague description of where to go. When they found a stone fortress, they started to feel as though they were in the right area.
__ When Kotori finally fully awoke from her fainting spell she realized she was no longer riding on the back of her idol and savior. "Wah!?!?" She sprung up from the stretcher she'd been left on with the other injured and sickly. Sitting upright, Kotori glanced around to find herself among those who were preparing to go into the massive stone fortress that they were now in the shadow of. "Where's Masato-sama?" She didn't much understand all of what was going on, but she wasn't going to have to ask many questions when he heard Lahlil's voice give direction to all the refugees. She'd soon find herself as one of the ones who got to do some work instead of rest, Kotori found her fire, pulled herself on to her feet, and wove past the traffic to get some orders. 'Oh man... Kotori thinks she fainted back there. That would explain things... dang it!' She kicked at the dirt out of self-directed frustration. The young lass stopped at a respectable distance from the woman who had taken charge to bring peace to the chaos and saluted before announcing, "Kotori Hyuuga, Genin, reporting for duty!" Her pale white eyes resonated an unusual passion to them as she restrained bouncing on her heels out of excitement. 'Next time Kotori sees him, Masato-sama is gonna become her sensei! Kotori hasn't gotten far on her own, but Masato-sama will show her the way with his strength. THEN Kotori will have strength too!!' By this point, her inner monologue had given her the last bit of juice to send her hyperactivity reeling into full heel-bouncing mode. The sooner she had orders from Lahlil the better!
Lohner stood at the edge of the falls and gauged the distance from the summit to the bottom, unsure on just what awaited in the cold waters below. Others, too, had joined on his excursion to the summit some shinobi like himself, several not. A mother and her children exclaimed and clamoured over the natural beauty of the falls and the castle their new kage had constructed for them, the jounin discussed the recent events at length and made their exit as the children played. A genin, no older than half Lohner's age trained in the water, focused chakra at his feet allowed him to skate the water's surface as he practiced suiton jutsu in the shallows.
Resident of Uzushiogakure the Uzumaki smiled, ever so briefly, at his happenstance new home. Appreciative of the newfound beauty, he watched as the children enjoyed their brief respite.
A maiden in Shinto garb traipsed through the higher edges of the terrace as well, which left Lohner with a sense of serenity. Peace washed over him as he relaxed back into the waters.
"This is nice, I can find something here." He whispered to himself as he stretched out on the water's banks.
After a time passed the elder twin Uzumaki stood and looked to the children who played at the water's edge, before he made his way to leave. As he did so, however, a scream rang and the shinobi turned on his heel. One of the children had strayed too far out and into the falls, his footing lost he was swept into the current and over the edge. Lohner chased.
Unable to run on water like his compatriots, the Uzumaki ran on the shore and dove over the edge after the boy, eyes glared through the mist and tumultuous torrent for him. He threw his arm out to his side and chakra chains erupted from his lower back, aimed forward, toward the water and the boy as he found him in the air. One chain vaulted for the child and Lohner turned his body, the chains forced the boy above him, as he clenched his fists before both of them landed in the water below.
Seconds passed and Lohner breached the surface, his chains vanished, links individually breaking away while he treaded water and tried to carry the boy above tree surface. The impact knocked the wind from both of them, but left the boy unconscious, and unable to help Lohner carry him back to shore.
Many people had made their way to the location before she did, Sonyo had made a slight detour on the path behind the group due to something she had sensed on the way there. However, when she finally made it to the location where she had sensed this odd presence, all that she saw was a man and a giant.... giant tiger. The kunoichi made a grimace like expression before slowly backing away, she knew the strength of tamers and didn't even want to mess with that bag of no way. Somewhat dejected, the young woman made her way back to the group-- she had sworn she had sensed Mother, but it must have just been wishful thinking.
Making her way through the keep, Sonyo made notes of areas to set up a temporary clinic, and once she found a location of her liking, she began to do just that. She was low currently on any and all supplies-- the temple had been destroyed, along with any bounty it might have held for her, and in the panic she hadn't thought to grab anything. Sonyo smacked herself mentally, a visible frown on her face-- how was she to take care of an entire village on her own.
She wished James was here, he could probably manage it. Or Doc.
Letting out a soft sigh, Sonyo made her way back out of the keep after leaving a hopeful note in her makeshift clinic area detailing supplies she needed if anyone felt charitable. They would find a small makeshift hyouton box to place supplies in, if they donated. In the meantime, Sonyo would have to make due with natural remedies, though she was aware that she wouldn't be able to gather enough to cure a whole village.
As she was walking the banks of the upper stream, by the top of the waterfall looking for water lily to make more antiseptic, she was caught off guard by a commotion behind her. As she looked back she was able to catch sight of a child disappearing over the edge of the falls. Wide eyed, the young woman dropped whatever herbs she had already gathered and began sprinting to the edge, only to be beaten by a male who literally lept in after the boy. She would have to make some note to tell Lahlil to make the waterfall safer for children or to ban them from here all together.
Sonyo waited, nervous, for the male to resurface and breathed a sigh of relief when he finally did. However, her relief was short lived when she realized he was struggling to bring the child to shore. Sonyo bit her lip, hesitated, then jumped in with the grace of someone who's gone swimming and diving quite often before. The impact stung a bit, even though the form for the dive was good. Hitting water at any height hurt somewhat if you weren't careful. Activating Oxygen mask so that she could swim underwater, for it was faster than traveling on the surface, Sonyo made her way to Lohner and the unconscious child. Once she was within range, Sonyo surfaced and helped both get to land.
Medical training went in to overdrive, and Sonyo laid the child carefully down on the embankment, putting one ear close to the boy's face to listen for breathing sounds. One hand automatically flew to the boy's carotid vein to feel for a pulse while the other was checking the skin for signs for the onset of hypothermia. "C'mon kid... c'mon..." She mumbled softly to herself. Hair now dark from saturation hung in strands around her, and her clothes uncomfortably stuck to her frame.
It brought back memories of Nari dragging her in to the pool in Suna with her full attire on. The batted away the painful reminder of what she had lost-- now was not the time to mope.

Lohner swam with the waterlogged child until he heard a second splash. No, he hadn't heard the splash instead he felt the chakra flow in the water as another shinobi, the priestess from earlier, joined him in the water. She dove below the water then rose at their side where she assisted him and the boy to shore. As soon as they arrived he offloaded the child and before he could attempt any medical aid, the sopping wet kunoichi pushed past him and began to render assistance.
Lohner stood back and watched for a few brief moments, his eyes transfixed on her actions, then he noticed how sheer her clothing had become on her slight frame. Without a second thought he removed the outer layer of his Signati Armis Cotte and laid it over her shoulders. His gray undershirt clung to him in much the same way and he removed it to expose a lithe frame.
"Thanks, Priestess, I hit the bottom harder than I expected and couldn't tread both of us to shore. I'm not sure if I could have made it safely if it wasn't for you." Lohner apologized, his eyes set towards the cathedral that made their new home.
Breathing stable, pulse steady, skin slightly cold from dampness; it looked like the boy would be alright but would probably have a touch of mental trauma- Her train of thought was derailed by something be draped around her shoulders. Sonyo, blinking as if coming out of a dream, looked up at the male in front of her. She had honestly forgotten that someone else was here. Even further, the young man didn't know who she was-- which in itself was a relief. She felt like she almost couldn't go anywhere anymore without someone recognizing her from something. Lohner derailed her thoughts once more as he shucked off his wet shirt, which was a sensible thing to do but Sonyo hadn't seen a shirtless male since treating Karuto and she really hadn't been paying attention then.
The jinchuriki's eyes quickly darted down, her eyebrows twitching up a little bit and a slight color change coming to her cheeks. She stumbled for a moment to speak, but eventually got control of her tongue again-- she was glad he wasn't actively looking at the catastrophe that was herself. "Y-You're more than welcome. You can call me--" She caught herself before finishing. Did she really want to tell him her name? She wanted to be just a priestess for a little longer, if she could. Just one of the crowd-- not a jinchuriki, not someone who had survived the destruction of three villages, not Sonyo. "Ah, well, I guess you can call me Rue."
Sonyo smiled faintly, eyes still downcast, the expression somewhat tired and sad. "Honestly I'm glad it wasn't me for once. I seem to get myself in to these hijinks a lot, where I put myself at risk for someone I don't know. What's your name?" Hazel eyes flicked back up towards Lohner now that she had gotten herself under control.

"Rue..." He held the name on his tongue for a moment and rolled it around mentally, then he formed the Kanji for her name in the soil of the embankment.
"Can be written three ways, all of them share the root Lapis. Lapis River, Lapis Picture, or Lapis Blessed. Seeing you it's hard to guess which you are. You saved that child from a stream and lake, so there's river. You're a priestess so you're blessed. And you were blessed with beauty, so there is the picture." Lohner spoke, matter of factly as he traced the lines in the soil once more.
He sighed and walked the distance between himself and Rue, eyes locked on hers as he neared. Then he cast them down to the boy and pressed the toe of his boot against the boy's shoulder.
"Is he going to make it just fine? I know I pulled him violently so I could hit the water first. I hope I didn't hurt him worse." His tone was straightforward, sympathetic, but detached.
He calculated his actions and planned them as he moved, but still felt that he caused the boy's current state. He crouched down, medium length Auburn hair soaked to his face, soon pulled back with two long locks fallen over his eye.
"Is it safe to move him, or should we wait for him to wake up, or others to come?"
It was strange hearing someone else call her beautiful-- Nari and Kya had done it but she had known them for a while before they had ever muttered the word. But this man had known her for all of a few heartbeats, and spoke the word like it was fact; like "Grass is green" or "Being stabbed hurts". Hazel eyes were locked on to Lohner with bewilderment for a moment, but snapped out of it when he mentioned the waterlogged kid in front of her. Sonyo made a small noise, almost like a half-squeak, before looking back down at the boy. "Oh! Right, yes, he should be just fine. Might have nightmares about falling over the edge of a waterfall for the rest of his life but it seems he was saved physical injury. Give him just a moment and-"
A bout of sputtering and coughing interrupted her as the kid bolted upright, looking around with wide and scared eyes before he realized he was okay. "Oh my god, that was the stupidest thing I've ever done!" Sonyo chuckled softly, her hand reaching up to stroke the boy's head instinctively like she had done to Taylor a million times. "I'm sure your parents would agree." She helped the child up to his feet. "Go along now, carefully. There's a small corner on the fourth floor of the keep set up for a clinic. Go there, get some rest, then return to your parents." The kid nodded, then looked Sonyo over. He seemed to notice the lack of an Uzushiogakure headband because a guarded expression came over his face. "Ummm...."
Sonyo smiled sadly, what world did they live in that a child already knew to be suspicious of people not from his home? Did naivety no longer exist in the hearts of Uzu's youngest people? "Don't worry, little one, I am no enemy. I'm a friend of Lady's Chie's, here to help. Now go, you'll get cold." The kid looked at her with a look of "I'm watching you" before walking off.
The sad smile she wore slipped from her face, replaced only with a frown. "Already so grown up for someone so small... The world really has gone to hell, that children are forced to think such adult things." She thought back to Suna, back to eight year old genin who were willing and ready to fight and die. Sunagakure was the most militaristic of the hidden villages at the time, and so it suffered the downfalls of such. Sonyo closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath, then slowly sat down like a weary old lady. "Do you come from a family of shinobi? I know that's quite normal, now a days."

The boy bolted awake and coughed the remaining water out of his lungs, almost as if to answer Lohner's question. The elder twin chuckled to himself and brushed his hand through his hair as he stood to full height once more, his frame stretched and the Uzu headband would reveal itself as it glistened in the sunlight off of his hip.
"She save you more so than I did, I just kept you from breaking your back on the water, she pulled you out of it when I couldn't. Drowning is a worse death, boy." He responded as the child grew paranoid of the priestess who rescued them.
"I... Uhmm yes, I'm an Uzumaki, my parents are Uzu shinobi as well, my father is an instructor. Mother is a hunteress for the village. I guess we'll all be learning new things here. We're all trained from youth to be shinobi here, though not everyone is..." he motioned to the young boy who made his way back to the cathedral "that. Many youth are still, young. But, any training we had just became relevant. Our home is gone, forgive him for not trusting a stranger, even one who saved his life" Lohner sighed, as he decided to speak up for the poor child's actions.
He then settled down in the dirt beside her, legs splayed out and leaned back on his arms.
"My folks said something similar happened to Konohagakure once, after a few years of political instability they had a Kage that settled in on the eve of the UHV war, a Hatake, he stabilized the region and brought peace with Sunagakure through familial bond. Then after Suna and Konoha fought the UHV off, he left, and they came back. The new Kage, a jinchuriiki, wasn't prepared for their assault and Konoha fell, its people fleeing to the rebuilt Uzushiogakure." Lohner told the priestess, as he had been told.
"Dad was a Konoha nin, Zanza and I were born there, before coming to Uzu, not that I remember much of it, we came to Uzu shortly after we were born. Dad said that once really long ago, Uzu fell and was it's people were welcomed into Konoha with open arms. But now it seems both villages are gone."
"Tell me about yourself Rue? I'm just a nobody from Uzu, with no formal home, who grew up with a stable family and a ninja academy. You seem a lot more interesting. Not many Priestesses know ninjutsu, much less Eisejutsu." He asked of her, and deprecated himself in the process.
__ Shouri had a little more pep in his step after Lahlil hugged him at the coastline. As he followed her deeper into the Land of Fire he continued to feel the comfort and elation brought by her genjutsu and presence overall. It was a considerable journey to the new area. When they finally made it he stopped behind Lahlil and waited for further orders. He was excited at the prospect of going on a mission with her. Shouri then moved around her and narrowed his gaze on her. A much more confident demeanor overtook him as he flashed a cocky smile. "Reporting for duty." He put his hands in his pockets as he waited for Lahlil's response.

Hearing about the UHV always made her nauseous; she used to feel responsible for all the things that they did, like she could have done something about it. But she had been nothing but a greenhorn genin during her time in Otogakure, and she had almost gotten herself killed as it was. Lohner asked her about her past, and Sonyo sighed softly. She walked a few paces away before sitting on a fairly massive piece of slate and patted the spot beside her as an invitation for him to sit down.
"My original home is gone, much like yours-- wiped off the map. I was born in Yukigakure, if you ever heard of it. I don't remember much of my early childhood, any memories I have of it are just flashes of snow. My parents moved to Otogakure as refugees, and of course I was dragged with. They weren't shinobi, my father was a tailor and my mother was a dancer." She stopped for a moment, thinking over exactly how much she wanted to tell. She looked down at her hands, which were now anxiously fiddling with each other. "From Otogakure I went to Sunagakure. I actually met the Hokage you were talking about there, before he was the hokage-- Masahiro I think his name was, he was the cousin of my Kazekage, Lady Ayame. He was acting as an ANBU in the sand for a time."
Sonyo forced herself to stop fiddling with her hands to the sound of Shukaku laughing at her. Why was she so jittery? "I married young there, though my husband died during the destruction of Sunagakure." Sonyo's eyes became distant, as if reliving the memories of her past. Her next words escaped her mouth as a soft whisper, "A widow before the age of twenty..." There was that familiar lump. Sonyo's gaze darted downwards at the ground like it might hold hidden answers for her. "I uh... wondered lost for some time after that. Coming to Uzushiogakure was my first contact with a village for a very long time. I started the beginnings of my training as a medical shinobi in Otogakure, though I got all my experience in the years after."

"Definitely much more interesting than a seventeen year-old genin who can't even swim to save the kid he dove off a cliff to save." Lohner commented in turn as he laid back into the dirt, his arms splayed out and his eyes fixed on the heavens above.
"Snow, Sound, Sand, Whirlpools, now wherever we are, you've really gotten to see the world. You even knew several Kage, much more in a life than many much older than either of us can claim. Sounds like the world needed a healer, and maybe it still does and she's just unsure of herself." Lohner mused, doing his best to imitate his father's collected tone and demeanor.
Beneath it all Lohner shivered, the sunlight warmed his damp skin, but the woman affected something inside of him. He remembered when he attempted to rally people in the temple, he saw her across the courtyard doing the same with a much more calm, efficient manner. She knew loss and pain, but something forced her forward, something almost alien to Lohner. He focused in on the moment and tried to meditate on the environment around them, to root himself back to nature and escape the feeling.
Whatever it was, it wasn't so easily escaped as Lohner buried himself in the natural landscape. But there was more than just the one sensation that nagged him, he felt compelled to be near her and this region.
