Noe Union

The hidden Headquarters of the Noe Union is more a pain to find then one would know. Deep in an old quarry lays the only land entrance to the Union Hall. Finding the only opening among the twists and turns of the labyrinth like quarry tunnels is hard enough. Gaining entrance is even harder and if one even managed to accomplish that, all that awaits them is a long 20 minute elevator ride down into the earth. If one is able to make it this far, they have an awe filled sight before them. As the ground suddenly opens up beneath them and a huge cavern engulfs their sight, the HQ of the Noe is reached at last.

No one knows how long this base has been around. The different style of architecture have been noted through the ages. With the drastic amount of buildings added to the base it looks almost unrealistic that each type of building would be there. It is far from fiction though. This is history told through structure, evidence is all around. There are even signs it had been abandoned at one point in time. What this place had seen over the years is lost. All that is known is for centuries it has been sitting as a silent sentinel over 200 meters above a lagoon hidden amongst the rocks.

Everything centers around the Main Building which was carved out of the very rock wall itself. The Main building has 5 stories and dominates ones view. At the top, on the fifth floor lies the office of the Noe Leader. The fourth has the rooms where Lead Operatives get their Missions as well general meeting rooms. The third floor has a Lounge bar that serves the Lead Operatives and their Quarters which are styles to each person’s liking. The second floor harbors the kitchen and living room area for the foot soldiers. Finally the first floor has the check in and waiting area.

The Side building wind along a small river and on either side of it is where various other important locations lie. The Armory; where one could retrieve the items to take care of ones weapons or get replacements. The Training Hall; an old bunker converted into a basic training hall, behind it is the gun field in a safe place for target practice. Literature Nook; this is where copies of the real world history are kept for anyone interested. Finally the Communications Station; A small castle converted into the Comm Station has antenna and wires crawling from it to serve as the connection to the outside world. Hospital Wing; A real medical facility where some of the kinder Doctors aid the Noe and their mission to keep people free by curing their sick and injured.

*This was not the kind of vacation they had hoped for Inanna. She worked very hard, carrying on three jobs and only one of them did she get to relax on, when the cameras weren't rolling that is. Then this happens...there wasn't anything better.
As Regi was clacking away and locating all available Noe operative when he got a visit from Colleen. She had rushed into the see what all the fuss was about there couldn't be something going that bad, could it? The blonde haired woman was getting increasingly concerned.*
Colleen - Regi, what is going on?
Regi - Seems the Kepi were a little sore at Inanna...I mean our little sheila did do an Indiana Jones on them but still, to go after her on a dig? They have to be all up in her face, damn whackers.
*The elder woman just smiled lightly as the Comm Director was busy organizing everyone in the area. The blonde decided to give him a hand sitting down she placed on a headset. So far four of them were accounted for. James, Sami, Fatal and Reen. Hopefully they could direct them to where they were needed.
She and Regi for the most part stay on base there have been a few times the young Aussie had traveled off base to help out Inanna. Other than that Colleen and Regi worked together and acted as the young red head's Second in Command. Not too long after Inanna's father, Winston, passed away the original Second was killed on a mission...the young leader had yet to replace the Second thus far saying there were few that met the criteria to have such a position but Inanna was looking. That was all they needed for now.*

*Kunai knives flew through the air and landed in a training dummy with much speed and precision. The figure responsible for throwing the knives moved swiftly toward the stationary target and delivered a powerful kick to the side of its head, which would knock out any ordinary foe. The figure followed up the kick with a knee to the side, five quick hits to the abdomen, and slipped behind the doll to twist its head free from its shoulders. Had her target been real, he would have been dead in a matter of minutes. This was the power of the Shinobi Arts*

*The figure wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead as she prepared to reset the dolls. It was obvious that she had been doing this for awhile. She wore her usual simple dress with her long purple hair tied back with a yellow ribbon. She normally would have her sword on her, but she was training with lighter weapons for now. This was the Noe's own ninja, Naiiko Inari*

*As she pulled the kunai knives free, she began to wonder about James and Sami. She hadn't seen the pair since they left for their mission, but she hadn't heard word if said mission was successful. She didn't doubt their skills, but it still worried her*

I'll check in with Regi once I'm done here.

*She reset the dolls and prepared to go another round*

*The last 24 hours had been very interesting.
It had started off as an okay day not much to do but monitor missions and keep in touch with Inanna but obviously...that wasn't due to last. Not only had the whole base been forced into darkness for a while shutting the entire thing down for almost and hour. Soon the Communication Station was back up and running again but that was the only thing.
Regi was chastised by his contact that helped him. From what it sounded like they were not happy. Crap. From now on they would manage the "firewall" too keep the Kepi out. Till everything was in perfect running order again...Regi had no control over the Noe systems. With how picky these people were, it could take a couple weeks...bright side is or was there would be nothing in the system left over from the Kepi. The system would be bleached of everything.
Colleen had questions as she noted Regi was acting strange about the whole ordeal but the Aussie stopped them. They had other things to do, like go and start up the entire base by hand. The main frame was not in working order but the base needed to get running again. Inanna would be pissed if she were okay and the base was left powered down simply because they were worried.
Going from point to point the two Noe Leads hand started the base back up till it was once more in working order. The only place that had a separate power source was the hospital wing...cause if that went down, this could be bad. Oh there was going to be a lot of questions at tomorrows briefing...

By now several hours had passed Regi and Colleen were waiting by the dock doors on the arrival of the helicopters. A full medical team was on stand by right there. Everyone else who was not essential for this was asked to stay out of the way. Inanna would get a looked over by the doctors and taken to her room. Two reasons for one it would keep people from bothering her while she rested and the second...she didn't like hospitals all that much...even the one on base.*

There was no real information available and this greatly troubled Shelby. She wasn't exactly sure what was happening around her, but she resolved to help out as best she could. As the doctor moved about acquiring and prioritizing the supplies that might be needed, Shelby would watch the others and became fascinated with how they reacted to frantic situations. Some would achieve a perfectly focused calm, others would tremble and drop things as they flitted about. It was this particular group she approached. Saying very little, most would be calmed by a simple hand placed on their shoulder and whispered reassurance that everything would be alright. Have no doubt, she was just as worried as they were, but the illusion of stability was a priority.

In the midst of all the comings and goings, Regi let her know she may be needed. The correction of her professional qualifications brought no reaction from the Aussie; there was simply not enough time to voice any concerns and besides that, he had bigger fish to fry. Shelby took her place with the medical team, a little unsure about what exactly to expect. She was always one to plan for the worst and hope for the best, although her medical expertise was psychiatry, not general trauma. Please don't let it be as bad as I think it is. Regardless of her feelings, she was about to cast her feet into the fire.

The last helicopter home had been caught. A sense of urgency had been placed in catching it. Fatal found a way to get his partner in the field to follow along. Being left behind in the Andes just to catch another evacuation later wasn't part of the Noe's plans. Fatal complied, especially since his partner was with him, bringing his cowboy hat to give to him.

Once the helicopters landed, Fatal intended to hurry off. Avoiding the physicians would be splendid for him. Their main concern should have been the Leader. Getting caught up in anything would be time consuming. Fatal preferred to avoid typical procedures. A man like him hated to be injured. There was no telling about Noe professionals. Fatal didn't like a medical team facing them. With a bit of quickness, they could be avoided rather easily.

As the helicopter neared the base Reen started prepping for landing. Tossing aside the compress' and unstrapped Inanna. Gently lifting her he made his way over to the door. During the ride she had seemed to stabilize somewhat, at least she wasn't getting worse. As soon as the chopper touched down he quickly made his way off it and toward the awaiting medical team. Laying her on the gurney he informed a doctor of what minimal care he had administered as well as letting him know that Sami had the antidote. Hopefully after further study they could make some sort of solution that would make this poison easier to deal with.

Reen watched as the medical staff wheeled her away. Now he just had to trust in them to help her recover. He made his way to his room, changing into more casual clothing and laying his weapons out. After sharpening and oiling his tanto he sheathed it and strapped it to the back of his belt, he never went anywhere without it. After sharpening his kunai and cleaning his pistols he made his way out of his room and went to find Regi.

"If you need help rebooting or stabilizing some of the systems let me know."

While he was more familiar with taking down systems in his years of work he had also learned how to bring them back online. He could really only do simple systems however. When taking down something like a base's server network or comm array it was normally faster and more efficient to just shoot it.

After helping in any way he could he made his way to Inanna's room. He didn't go in, but sat down next to the door, hoping to catch someone from the med staff to see how she was doing. Leaning his back against the wall he reflected on the events of the day, running through his head ways in which he could've stopped Inanna from being harmed.

*The helicopters came in and landed. Fatal nearly sprinted away from the area. Then Reen came out carrying Inanna and that is when the swarm landed. All the doctors came onto the seen as the mass took off toward the Main Building as one stayed behind to hear what the man had to say.
As they left the Aussie flagged down Shelby. The woman was not the exact type of doctor that most people would need in this situation but Inanna might need someone else to talk to when she comes too. Shelby was one that the red head would be able to speak with and not worry. Regi also trusted the woman with such a task.*
Regi - Shelby, please keep me posted about our little shelia's condition. I'll be in the Comm Station. Also mates straight to her room. Inanna'll give ya a good lickin' if she wakes up inside the Hospital Wing.

*The Aussie made himself back at home in his office straightening things out. There was a reason Inanna still kept paper records of everything. The most important never making it onto the computer. This was a good one reason for such a thing. The red head was old fashioned in a lot of ways.
Soon Reen came back. It looked like he went to change and come back to help. Sadly, there was nothing Reen could do right now. There was nothing anyone could do. He would have an explanation for the whole group tomorrow morning...it was a long flight back to HQ for them, hell Regi would have been exhausted from that.*
Regi - Thanks, mate but I've got it covered, you go take a break. You after all must have been sweaten' bullets.

*It was then after all the doctors left the room did the one thing that kept her sane come out of hiding. Nebula. He had been tucked away in her closet watching everything going on. Till it was alright he stayed there waiting for the coast to clear of people and their shoes.
Nebula was a 5 year old Clouded Leopard that Inanna had saved from poachers when she was a younger and an in-training archeologist. For saving the cat Inanna had suffered a gun shot wound to the back. It was her first wound.
Her father was absolutely furious, not with her. Winston knew she couldn't help herself wanting to do the right thing and it was an endangered type of cat but the red head was out of action for a while. Years later she had not expected to be reunited with that same kitten. He seemed to remember her though.
The spotted cat made it's way over to the fallen red head. Jumping up onto the bed Nebula inspected his partner. She seemed alright, the medical team did as much as they could for her. It was all up to her body to heal now. It would just take a little bit of time. Snuggling up to her side the cat decided a nap was in order for himself as well.*

Once the helicopter landed James followed Reen off, but he followed Inanna all the way to her room. He knew Regi must have told them to take her their, she was never to fond or hospitals and he knew why. Like people have noted, he was like her own personal bodyguard at time, and it was almost the way he was acting now. The whole walk over their he ketp an eye on the woman. Once they got to the room one of the doctor told James he couldn't enter. The doctor himself was scared that James was going to toss him aside and enter anyway but the armored man simply nod followed by a quiet "Roger that." He now posted up outside the room, with his shotgun in hand, like he was on guard duty. While on 'duty' he noticed a familiar face. It was Doctor Fields, the oldest member of the Noe and a well respected doctor. He is the main doctor that takes care of James' wounds if he ever gets hurt. Some say he's even seen James' face but the good Doctor said he can not disclose any personal information. The doctor gave him a quick nod before heading inside to help the others. For this situation they would need his expertise

James wasn't sure how much time passed but one by one he saw the doctors leave. Only when Dr. Fields came out did he ask about her condition.

Dr. Fields - She'll be fine. Her body just needs to rest.

James - I see

Dr. Fields - And so do you James. You aren't helping the Noe by overworking. So get some rest.

James - No promises Doc.

The old man just sighed at James. He knew how much James wanted to protect Inanna, seeing how he still blames everything that happen with Inanna and her father as his fault. How he sees this mission, if he were able to find that marskmen, he could have saved her this pain. The good doctor gave him a pat on the shoulder before leaving himself. James in his mind had two options, either stand there on guard, or work on his sniping. He desided to stnad guard, to make sure nobody bothered her. He didn't know how he would be waiting, but that didn't matter to him.

Once the disembarking parties arrived the best was to describe the situation was organized chaos. Even as Shelby assured Regi with a disarming smile that she would keep him in the loop, the medical team swooped into the landing area even before everyone was off the aircraft. They quickly triage those who came forward with a variety of injuries; Shelby did notice a few skirt by her as fast as they could, injuries or not they were having none of it. So was the nature of a lot of the members of the Union. Although her door was always open to talk, painfully few took advantage of her offer.

A smalerl group took charge of Innana. As she followed the crew of doctors and other medical personnel to the leader's room she noted the Noe leader looked delirious and greatly weakened. After asking a few questions, Shelby learned the source of the illness. Poison such as this was a common formula, even though at the time she did not realize it was Kepi made. Seems they spent years making some side money on the international espionage market. The good part was that it was a known toxin that could easily be treated, the drawback was that the victim would suffer a variety of nasty nonlethal symptoms for several hours, even with an antidote. She truly felt for Inanna; she had been exposed to such a toxin before and it wasn't exactly a fun day at the beach.

The journey to Inanna's quarters seemed like a long trek, but in actuality it really wasn't. Looking up from Inanna, she noticed an armored man to her right, opposite the gurney. It was of course James, her stalwart protector. Ever vigilant, ever prepared. That had been her impression of him since the strange day that was their accidental meeting.

Things went relatively smoothly from then on. Upon arriving blood tests and the usual diagnostic testing was done, just as a precaution. The consensus amongst her colleagues remained the same: Rest and possibly some medication to ease any discomfort. Once a prognosis was made, the medical team dispersed. Upon leaving she gave slight grin and nod to James who was standing guard outside her room. Shelby was sure Dr. Fields would fill him in on the details. With things relatively quiet for the moment she headed towards the comm room. The good head shrink will see if Inanna will be willing to talk after some much needed rest.

*Naiiko's attention to her training was robbed when power was lost in the Union base. Her instincts kicked in, thinking that they were under some sort of attack. When Collen and Regi came to manually cut the power back on in the Training Hall she nearly attacked them from the shadows. She apologized once she learned it was them and they explained what they could to her*

*The Kepi had tried to assassinate Inanna while she was off duty. This news disheartened the ninja. She wished she was there to protect her instead of being on standby after her last mission. She learned that Reen, Fatal, Sami, James, and even Jezebel was on the field. That was definitely more than enough for the Kepi to contend with. While Inanna escaped with her life, she as poisoned on the way back. An antidote had been administered, but they would have to wait and see on her status. She could only sigh at the news, but thanked the two of them for filling her in. She then left the Training Hall and headed for the Lounge. Maybe Sami or the others wished to talk about the events that happened today. Any information that could be used for later would be valuable for her future missions*

------------

*A black Corvette Z06 turned onto the dirt road that lead to the quarry that housed the Noe Union underneath it. The driver stepped out of the car and walked to a lone rock that was sitting by itself. He quickly pulled out his twin pistols and surveyed the area. He learned to be extra cautious while outside of Union walls. Once he determined that the coast was clear, he pressed the rock and watched as it scanned his fingerprints. He then had to enter a 6-digit numerical code, scan his left eye, and pronounce his name into the rock. Once all of the security had been taken care of, the mine shaft opened for him to drive his car into. He hopped back into the vehicle and drove it deep within the shaft. Once it was as far as it could go, he parked the car and got out with some files that he had on him. He walked over to the elevator shaft and with a few button presses began his descent*

*20 minutes later he was in the underground base that was the Noe Union. His destination was the Comm Building and Regi. His black coat swayed a bit as went ahead*

The clicking and clacking of heels could be heard through out the unusually quiet halls. Jezebel sashayed her way into the dinning hall where she dropped her keys on the surface of the table, looked to her left at Wilson she huffed. Wilson was not a normal member of the team seeing as he was a volleyball that Jez found and made friends with, but he was reliable. After 5 months of not being home or a proper shower or food, it felt good to see a friendly face. Grabbing Wilson she walked to her room... Only to be stopped as she ran into the wall. Looking around she was confused she was in the right place but the door to her room was gone. High above her on the wall a note was pinned, addressing it to Jezebel she opened it and a little part of her died inside.

'Jezebel
The odd dormitories where structurally unsound so we bricked it up for safety, we have moved your stuff to a new room . To get the key to your room please come see me as soon as you get this.
-Regi
P.S. stop stealing my underwear.

Not believing what she just read she threw Wilson, with all her strength at the wall, only to have him fly back and smack her in the face. Pouting she picked her faithful volleyball back up tucked him under her arm and headed to find Regi.

The others could do as much as they wished. More blood stained Fatal's swords. Had he not failed, the Marksman's sword would have been his. Fatal intended on collecting that artful sword from the Kepi. All of its memories, as well.

In his normally aloof way, after cleaning up and such, Fatal took to his room and rested. They would have more work later. Doctors like Shelby avoided idleness now. They were busy during the calm. Thoughts of the Marksman's poison did cross Fatal's mind. As the originator of the information, Fatal might need to explain himself later. Hoping for a forgetful Sami and James, Fatal didn't reflect on it much further. Keeping the other Marksman details to himself was preferred. Next time they crossed paths, poisoned Leader or not, Fatal would kill him. He would not retreat twice. Fatal intended to assassinate him.

*As the computers whizzed through the files and reconfigured things, Regi decided he was going to make himself useful and go through Inanna's files making sure they were in order...cause their interns didn't seem to know how. So the man, in need of something to do, was taking care of it. Opening them up and making sure the contents were correct the Aussie made his way through them all. Talking to himself all the way.*
Regi - This file here...this file here...this file here...this fi- why do I have a receipt for an Apache Helicopter in here?
*The man was utterly stumped for a moment. When did they go out and buy an Apache? They normally just got older ones and had their engineers fix them up to being better then the new ones right off the shelf. It was in this way they had equipment the the Kepi couldn't sabotage...unless you count blowing them out of the sky. Thinking on it rather hard he then figured out why.*
Regi - Jezebel!!
*Okay that girl had some explaining to do...then again, when didn't she?*
